A masterclass in the quiet logic of land management that finds profound engineering in the simple movement of water. It’s a grounding reminder that the most vital infrastructure is often the most invisible.

Water On The FieldsAdded:
Well, it's near the end of the day on the 6th of May.
Come on, start up for me.
There you go.
So, it's been a long and busy day and I want to get up in the sky and have a look at the north field, which I haven't been to yet.
And since this is one of our rare quiet days, ooh, 57% battery. Yeah, it'll be a short flight, I guess.
Okay, let's fly.
Take off.
Home point updated.
Okay, from here on it's going to be drone footage, hopefully.
Okay, what we got going on here is me basically playing catch-up, getting the uh commentary in because uh I couldn't transfer the audio from the GoPro video over onto the DJI video. So, anyway, I'll try to tell you what's going on here. Flying up into the pasture, Red River Special Separator down there.
That's on a hilltop, you'd never guess.
The Big Slough right full, throwing depth to the dugout, I think. Over on the left, that's known as the Big Flats.
That's a huge area of flat ground, which in a wet spring floods with water.
I've seen it worse, but I'm a little surprised it's that big considering we didn't have what I thought was a lot of snow, but uh yeah, we're shaking a little bit here. I believe those are snow drifts down in this slough that I'm flying over right at the moment. It's hard to tell in the sunlight reflecting, but yeah, those are snow drifts.
Good body of water over there. Typical small sloughs off in the distance on the neighbor's fields, there's some pretty good size sloughs, too.
So, we're going to turn and go west southwest. I think we're cruising here at about 25 mph thereabouts.
Heading back towards the yard over [snorts] my chem fallow, which was actually tilled once or twice after spraying.
Approaching the yard with hopefully not too much shaking.
This is about 6:00 6:30 in the evening on May 6th. I probably commented here at some point.
So, anyway, that should pretty much cover Well, there might be a few more seconds here. Nope, we're done.
Well, I can't see it. It's up.
Oh, there we go. We're up there above the trees.
Okay, let's I don't know if this is picking us up or not.
Well, head a little bit and come down down down.
Okay.
Okay, I wonder will it Nah, we'll just land it on the ground.
I'm pretty sure it would land right on the table, but if I hit uh auto land, but I'm just going to Landing.
And there we go. Down to 18% battery. I don't know how many minutes that was, but And stop recording.
Okay.
Little bit of scenery there for you.
Short video on the 6th of May from the Rusty 6 channel. So, thanks for watching and I'm going to shut this down.
Until next time.
