in writing my Bond novel, which is set in 1969. So, we're back in analog spying. And I have deliberately had no gadgets or evil men wanting to dominate the world. No no silliness at all. I tried to write a a Bond novel that was about this mythic figure in with all his warts and all as it were. So, that's my taste. Some people like the fantastical preposterous nature of these stories, but I prefer something more rooted to reality.
