Running out of work for my guys!Added:
That'll be a miracle, man. The guys ran a plow over this. Oh my goodness. You wrecked my jack. Oh, that's not good.
The oil pressure gauge is not working at all. Good morning. It's a beautiful morning here in Wisconsin. Come and say hi, Annie. Oh, she's just eating some grass. What are you doing? Are you crazy?
She likes to hang out outside.
So this morning, Big Ray is going to take a skid loader out to Eric. Now, Eric needs a mini excavator and a skid loader. So, that's just more money for me, which is good. And then, uh, we're going to take the dump truck in, the tandem that we just painted the frame on. We're taking that in to get a brand new box. Hopefully, they hurry up with that cuz we need it really soon. And then we're going to start putting that roller back together as well along with some other stuff. I want to wash some of the salt off the skid loaders and so forth once again. maybe for the last time hopefully. So, all right, I'm going to grab some coffee. Let's go.
>> There you go.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you.
>> All right, we'll see you next time.
>> Oh, beautiful morning. But halfway through the day, we're supposed to get a big cold front that blows through and it's supposed to get nasty. Cold, windy, rain showers, all that. But right now, it is awesome.
So, we'll enjoy the last like 3 or 4 hours of nice weather. Oh, the dump truck. So, the mechanic is coming for the dump truck, the Mac, this morning. Actually, right now he's going to take it and do do a DOT and then uh fix all the little stuff that's wrong with it. Actually, I don't think there's too much wrong with it, but there is a few little things that need to be fixed up. So, that's good. I don't have to completely trust in Daryl, which is always a good thing. Okay, just pulling into the yard.
It's a little bit later. I'm not working out today. So, Thursdays I'm doing rest days. Sundays and Thursdays.
One day of rest is just not enough. My whole body is sore. So, the guy should be here any minute for the Mac. I hope all the filters are on there how they're supposed to be. I better call and ask Daryl. Yeah, he's here. Mechanic's here already. How's it going?
>> Are you going to take this today?
>> Yeah, I'll take it right now if you want it.
>> Okay, let me call Daryl and see >> if he cuz I know he changed the oil. He said they forgot to give him two filters or something, too, though.
Let me talk to your dad.
>> Hello.
>> Hey.
>> Yep.
>> Um, is this Mac? I can start it, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. What What filters did they forget to give you?
>> I got everything. I had Reo get them while uh you guys were out shopping.
>> Are you almost here? Are you almost here?
>> Yeah.
>> There was two filters they forgot to give them. Well, you can see one right there, it looks like.
that other oil filter right there. I don't need it next week. I just need it by >> Oh, you'll have it next week.
>> The following weekend is when I need it.
No, >> I'm free for you right now. So, >> okay. I don't know if you get to take a look at the oil leak. It leaks. It leaks kind of a lot.
>> I'll get it sealed up for you.
>> All together. I mean, all the leaks all together, it makes a kind of a good puddle.
>> Uh, this is all motor oil.
>> Yeah, all motor oil.
>> And Ray said the radiator leaks, but I don't think you're going to be able to get to that. Um, >> I don't know how much it leaks either.
If we could just live with it.
>> Have one, but you're not going to like the price.
>> A new one?
>> Yeah.
>> How much is it?
>> $3,200 >> for a radiator >> cuz the Mac is discontinued.
>> But you were able to find one.
>> I have one. I bought one cuz my buddy needs one, too.
>> Well, just look at it and call me. And if it really needs a radiator, like >> if you can use it season, if it drips here and there and it's not pissing out, I would just say run it.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I feel better about a real mechanic fixing everything, the leaks and all that. thing leaks pretty bad.
Carto's not coming in again today because he's still working like on his drains in his basement. So, I got to tell him, I'm like, I'm not paying you for a full week, man. He's just got to understand he's he's doing his own thing at his house, taking days off. I can't just continue to pay him. I mean, that's not fair. Come on. He took a day off last three days and two weeks.
I don't trust you working on that. So, I hired him. Where's it? Where are the filters?
>> All the filters are on.
>> You said there was two that you didn't get. Where are they?
>> Yeah, but I had Ray go get them and because I needed them cuz I needed my oil filters.
>> Oh, so that's the service is done.
>> Okay. So, oil changes. No grease.
>> There's no He didn't grease nothing. He just changed the oil and the filters.
>> I'll grease everything.
>> Yeah, >> that's your favorite thing to do. We were going to steam the engine today, but I guess it's all yours for now.
>> I'll have it steaming everything else cuz it's going to come back not leaking.
That'll be a miracle. No, >> it will.
>> Trucks has pretty much leaked its whole life from somewhere or another.
>> Those big diesel engines, they love to leak.
>> They do.
>> I know.
>> It's like their thing. It's always run good. Start it up there. So, airs are You going to take it right now?
>> Yeah, I'll take it right now.
>> Okay. You got bugs around you. I >> know. I see that.
>> You stink. Maybe.
>> So, Eric, you know what Eric wants now?
skid steer, right?
>> Yeah. Just take him that one.
>> All right.
>> He owes me like the one that's sitting right there.
>> Oh, yeah. Okay.
>> Just make sure it's full of fuel and I expect it back f full. Tell them it's like uh $3,000 of rentals.
He's keeping both of those for a week.
>> I I told him I need all the money right away cuz I don't know if he's going to get paid on that job. He's in over his head, I believe. But yeah, grab that truck and then load that and take it to him. And then we got to take the tandem over. So probably have you go there, drop that off, and then we'll take the tandem in, you know, >> where we get the where we got the box.
>> Yep.
>> And then you'll have to swing over and pick whoever's driving up.
>> Daryl Junior can drive it. All right. I guess you're set.
Man, the guys ran a plow over this, >> did they?
>> Yeah. Yep. Look at this. chip the edge over here. This you can see the track was here. Track was here and they turn right on my decorative man. Well, that's good. The Mac's going to be handled.
So, the max's going to come back completely ready to use.
>> All right.
>> I told him I need it by the end of next week. So, Whoa. What h Oh my goodness.
Let the box down. We can't run that puddle over and then go outside in the parking lot.
>> Why is it leaking?
>> Because the pressure is on the box. It's leaking out of one of these hoses obviously right here. It doesn't matter.
This is all getting replaced.
>> Okay.
>> The whole system's getting replaced. So, I don't care that it's leaking right now. I had a weight on it all night long.
>> Look at my jack.
>> Oh my goodness. You wrecked my jack stand, Daryl.
>> Oh, that'll hold. Look at the jack stand.
Oh my good.
That shows the pressure on the box.
Wow.
He smashed it. All right, there goes Big Ray. Oh, I got to go weigh myself. I just drank my whole coffee, though. And usually I don't do that before I weigh myself. Oh, well. Oh. Uh, and then zip the bumper back on.
>> Yep.
>> Battery cover back on.
>> Yep.
>> And then we got to take it in. I got a box, you know, all the chrome covers, all the nut covers and everything. Yeah.
to finish off the rims.
>> All right, just weighed in and uh good news. Actually just broke my all-time low during this diet. So, that is good.
Feel like I hit a sweet spot right now where what I'm doing is actually working. My diet's like really dialed in. I pretty much eat the same stuff, almost the same exact stuff every single day and it's going really good. So, the scan is on Monday. So, we'll see if we made any difference. What I'm scared of is I lost muscle and kept all my fat. I hope not. I'm going to be so mad if that happened. So mad. What?
>> That could have been us that they could have smooshed.
>> Well, it didn't go all the way down. It slowly over all night long went down cuz of the hydraulic leak.
>> What time we need to tour today?
>> Uh oh. Like around lunchtime. I got one of the executive suites.
Junior.
>> Hey, he text me this morning uh uh was it a club suite? He wants me to get a suite for us. It's $5,000 to go to the Brewer game.
>> He text and he's serious too.
>> Saturday for Saturday. Just get the clum suite.
>> $5,000. He just wants me to drop on a Brewer game. I mad.
>> My dad said today we're going to the B game opening season and then we're doing the club of Memorial Day parade.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, we could drive by the stadium if you want. That's the best I could do for today. If you want to drive by and look and see the parking lot and stuff.
What do you mean? That's all I can do. I noticed it doesn't leak nothing. See that?
>> I know.
>> Well, that's that's the hydraulics.
higher >> 11,000 plus 50 or how much was it going to be?
>> Yeah, I put $51,000 into this plus the paint. 52 labor 50. I got 54 probably $54,000 in this truck. This thing better last for a while now.
>> Oh, it will.
>> I hope so. Will.
>> Well, even if the engine bows, I got to put another engine in it.
>> Oh, we'll rebuild it.
>> Yeah, >> we'll put new pistons, rings.
>> Whatever happens, it's got to keep going for at least 5 years now.
>> Exactly. I suppose I should take the lights off or the tape off the lights before we leave so we have some brake lights. That'll be good.
>> Down here.
>> Did you find other bolts for the other Oh, we never took the back one off, right?
>> We never took the back plate off.
>> I don't know where the back is.
>> It's right here.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> It's a register. I got a new sticker, but I'm not going to put it on until we get it back.
>> All right. I start putting this in together.
>> Yeah, the hood and stuff, >> right?
>> What are you doing here?
>> Cuz I took this all apart to see about the whole to take the I got all screws and that cuz I was going to take the table off the whole seat off.
>> Oh man, you better put it back together, right? Matt, >> I will.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> You don't worry too much.
>> You don't think enough.
>> Yeah, I do. If he saw it wasn't going to work, he should have just put it back together right away. And then Junior just cuts this the light off for no reason.
>> He wants a new light up.
>> That light was fine. It just needs the new thing.
>> I know. I didn't know that.
>> Yeah, I know. So now I got to figure out a whole new thing.
>> That's going to spend it for >> Yeah, exactly.
>> Exactly.
>> Hey, I'll get that uh club suite at the Brewers game. You pay half, I'll pay half. 2500. 2500. How's that sound?
>> All of a sudden, you change your mind, huh?
>> That's a good idea.
>> I'm going to take this thing all the way out there. You can help him put that roller back together.
>> What are you going to do? Are you going to stay?
>> How you getting the truck? How you taking the truck out there?
>> I'm taking it right now.
>> How you getting back?
>> Big Ray's going to get me.
>> Oh, I didn't know that.
>> After he drops his skid loader.
He's done.
>> I thought you thought >> Oh, no way, dude.
>> No way.
Are you kidding me?
Video video when he's putting that back together.
>> Do a good job, Daryl.
Man, I wish clean detailed this truck out first. This thing's dirty still, man.
Hey, I just text you where to where to pick me up. Same place.
Soon as >> soon as you drop the skid loader off, come and pick me up.
>> Yep, we'll do.
>> All right. It's I I I text you the map to it if you forgot.
>> Got it. Thank you.
>> All right. Bye. All right. Let's go.
Best truck. Oh, that's not good.
The oil pressure gauge is not working at all.
Now it's working.
That was weird.
All right, let's go. 40 minutes away.
Man, that's far.
Just driving here.
Got a Bronco Raptor in front of me. I don't know what you guys think of them.
I I don't really know what to think of them. Kind of seems like a wannabe Jeep.
Kind of looks cool. I don't know.
This thing seems to be running fine.
It's driving straight. The only thing I noticed is when I hit the brakes, it pulls to the right. So, I don't know what's going on with the front brakes, but feels like the right side's grabbing and the left side is not.
something just not to keep it.
But other than that, it's running good.
All right, here we are. Our best truck.
And they are absolutely packed.
I guess I'm parking this truck in. Yeah, I'm going to ask him. I'm not sure why the why the truck would pull to the right when you put the brakes on. Maybe there's something wrong with this side or it's not grabbing properly. I'm not sure. I have to ask. I don't really know. But seems to be running fine. We got to detail the interior. Nothing's leaking yet. It was leaking bad, but it is not leaking. See, these are brand new brakes. I think they sure look brand new to me. Don't make no sense.
I think it's all brand new.
I'm going to have to call the mechanic and just ask him. No, it's still got a leak.
It's leaking less, but it's leaking.
I don't know. With these old trucks, it's like you can never stop every little leak. It is what it is.
Yeah, there comes another drip. Drop right in my eye if I don't move.
Oh, what are you going to do? Big Ray is probably going to be like 20 minutes, I would guess.
>> What's up, everyone? Jimmy here.
Most of it all put back together and just got to wait on the parts to be delivered to United and then finish it.
It's fine. It's a slow day, but it's okay. I don't mind. We don't mind. Clean up. Clean up.
>> Right, guys?
>> What are you doing, Junior?
>> Yeah. What are you doing? All right, meet a video. A clean shop and a happy shop.
I've been waiting a long time for Ray.
It is 11:05 in the morning. So hopefully he shows up any minute. He told me 42 minutes. 42 minutes ago. So he should be here any minute. Look at that.
I mean, the steel of this box is so gone, you can't even Oh, that's Big Ray.
Hello.
Pull. Pull off to the side right here.
Okay. Bye. Big Ray. He said he's 1 minute away.
Finally.
Been waiting >> forever. Waiting here a long time.
Zer almost done with that job or what?
>> Yeah, right. That's a huge job, >> guys. And and he I was like I was like, so he wants you to do the whole driveway. I like Yeah.
>> Oh, it was like a lot. But he was I'm so happy I got the job.
>> He's happy.
>> He needs the money.
>> He's He's happy right now. He got the job.
>> Yeah.
>> So, he's digging holes in the ground right now.
>> Yeah. He's he dig it all night. I mean, all day to night time. Tell me >> yesterday. Uh, >> why would I buy a chess board?
>> What do you mean, dude? We need some board games in our lounge.
>> Board games? We're supposed to be working.
>> These guys literally have nothing to do right now.
>> No.
>> And I got to go do estimates and I think I have one soon. Dude, that took that takes forever, man.
>> Eric's job is super far away.
>> Super far away.
>> Hey, where are you going to dump everything?
>> I think he's keeping the dirt there. Did you scratch the hood putting it on? Oh, no scratches, >> man. You guys have greasy hands, man.
Look at that.
>> Wait, it just needs the stickers on it, though.
It looks pretty good, right?
>> Looks good.
>> It looks way better than that ugly uh >> yellow.
>> Yellow.
>> Did a good job.
>> Well, hopefully you know how to fix this.
>> Yeah, I do. This is nuts and bolts.
>> What are you doing, Junior? Why are you videoing Francisco just wiping the counter?
>> He's got time lapse.
>> Time lapse. Got to put these on, >> Ryan.
Rental.
>> Yep.
>> Eric will be like, "Ryan, can you >> make money with this?"
>> Ryan, can you deliver the roller compactor to my job?
>> I like, man.
>> Exactly.
>> Hey, look.
>> That looks good.
>> That's right. Yeah, look better.
>> It looks good, right?
>> Yeah, it does. Way better than the yellow one.
>> Now watch. Daryl won't even be able to fix the motor and then >> Yeah, right.
>> This whole thing's garbage. These are very expensive >> to buy new.
>> Oh, like 20.
>> 20.
>> How much?
>> 20 for maybe like that half. He's almost done.
>> You got the all the walls poured already.
>> Yeah, right.
>> It does. Right. All the walls are poured already. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Crazy progress >> in one day.
>> Positively.
>> Wait till it starts thunderstorming this afternoon. Anyway, that's >> Oh man, that's all I feel right in.
>> He's going to be like, "Ryan, can I rent a pump?"
>> I might just end up sending everybody home. I don't really have anything for them to do. Nothing productive anyway.
And I have bids to go on. I got to go. I actually got to go right now. I'm just going to let these guys go home.
It's enough putts around around here for today. You guys could just go. I don't really have anything else and I got bids right now so Derrick can go to his brewer game.
>> Hopefully those parts should come in tomorrow.
>> Close that garage door though.
>> I got to get my jacket. We got the VIP.
>> Yeah. And $5,000 club suites. It >> starts raining.
>> Yeah. We got to get We got to get over there. I got just enough time to go grab a bite to eat and then I'm going to go do these bids and hopefully sell some work. Okay, I just got home. The day turned to garbage just like they were predicting. It's cold and rainy and nasty and all that. Uh but I did three bids and uh I think the second bid that I did was a was a patio, a big stamp patio and they had tons of questions. He had a, you know, he had a a booklet and he had all his questions written down.
And I actually I didn't used to like that, but now I've learned that that's a good sign because that person's serious and they want to make sure that they're spending their money properly and you have a pretty good chance at getting the job if you are actually confident and know what you're talking about. So, I feel pretty good about that one. The one I just did, uh, it's a big job, but I have no idea. I didn't get any feel. It was the wife, you know, who kind of showed me around. The husband stayed in the house and just sat on the couch. Uh, but that's a big job. And that one I have no feel for. I have no idea. But hoping to at least get that patio and then I bit a small job before that. So, that's it for today. I cleaned my office in between estimates about 70% of the way. And, uh, I'm I'm organizing stuff, putting jobs in order, and yeah, we just need to sell some more work, man. Um, Mike just texted me. He's like, "Hey, you got a bunch of work?" I was like, "No, not really. I mean, we got enough to get started, but we're going to have to continue selling." So, I don't know.
I always get worried this time of year, and for however many years, it always works out. So, I'm hoping it just all works out again. I don't know. All right. Uh, I guess that's it. I'm going to go inside, continue cleaning. I'm going to go work out in the gym. I'm just doing cardio, not doing any weights. I'm taking a rest day as far as that's concerned. Um, you know, eat some dinner and call it a day and then we'll be back at it tomorrow. I'll see you guys in the morning. Adios.
Good morning. It is Friday, which is my favorite, and so is sugarfree Mountain Dew. But I've already been here for a while. I already got my workout in. And yesterday when I said I think I said yesterday in the video that I feel like I hit a sweet spot right now in my diet and kind of the workout plan and uh I'm losing weight. I'm feeling good and I'm watching the scale literally just every day start to go down. I mean the weight is just falling off right now. And I don't know exactly what happened. I didn't really change too much. A little bit in my diet but not much honestly. I don't I don't know what happened. I have no idea. Maybe they're sprinkling something on my food at B-52s. I am not sure, but I'm pretty happy about that.
So, I hit 270.8, which is the lightest I have been since I started working out and the lightest I've been for many years. So, pretty happy about that. Uh, guys are here. I hear them rustling around in there. I did a few estimates yesterday. You guys saw that. That's right. And then I have one estimate today that I'm feeling pretty good about because we've been going back back and forth on email. I've given him prices already and he still wants me to come out. So that's always a really good sign. So hopefully hopefully we'll sign that one up. Hopefully Jeff will get some. And uh I'm still jittery. I talked to Mike yesterday and he said uh you know he's doing the home show, the home show that I always used to do that I stopped going to and he said it's really slow and uh he's hardly getting any leads. Nobody signed up from the show yet. So, I think it's just something that's going on right now. Like I said, um you know, people are nervous right now because of what's happening. Caro here.
>> How you doing?
>> Dupity dupity. Thanks.
>> How do you like the roller?
>> Beautiful.
>> Nice. Right.
>> Put black.
>> No, I don't want no black.
>> No.
>> What do you mean black?
>> I like it in black.
>> Oh, the screens.
>> The screen.
>> Yeah, that would look nice.
Console's flaring again.
>> Oh my god. It's It's It's my van, man.
>> It's toxic.
>> Your van the exhaust. Oh, man.
>> Got to get >> Got to get that turbo. Why don't you pull the turbo off that big motor over there on the side? You >> think it'll work?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah, right. That thing is huge.
>> Yeah, right.
>> It's half the size half the size of your motor, man. I'm losing weight again.
>> That you went, >> huh?
>> Did you go?
>> I'm going Monday.
>> Oh, Monday. I thought you >> No, but the scale like I'm losing weight again. Like >> that's good, man.
>> Pretty good. Yeah. I got stuck for 3 months and then finally all of a sudden it was like poo. So hoping we signed some work otherwise you guys will be on unemployment by April. You two guys go get the first of all get the machine, the New Holland that's at the church. We we're done with that. We can bring that back here. Okay.
>> Bring the plow that has a Um, yeah, bring the plow back, too.
Might as well. It ain't going to snow.
Even if it does, we can still got the one machine and the bucket with the other machine. So, bring that back here and then go get the 873. Bring that back here. Wash. Just you two guys wash it and then grease it here >> and then uh take it back over by the salt and then >> Yeah, take it back by the salt. You can start out clean all the bathrooms, dude.
They got no toilet paper. They need to be clean. The gym needs to be clean. The sinks wiped down. Vacuum in there. All right, you guys. You said you want me to mop, too?
>> Yeah, like clean. Just Yeah, mop. Do the sinks, the bathrooms. Do Everything's kind of messy, man. I got to run home for just a few minutes. I'll be back, though. We can get the form truck and uh park back where it belongs. You know, that would be good, too.
We're not going to run out of work.
All these years, I've never run out of work. But every single springtime, I feel like we're not going to have enough work. I mean, it could happen, but chances are that this year is going to be like all the others.
And then there's going to be a point where I'm like, "Oh, it's getting to be too much work. Hopefully, we can get all this done." That's what I'm hoping. It is just a little slow right now. Like, man, the phone's not ringing like it should be this time of year. It's just not. I just got to run to my house real quick. One of the things that I would like to do today is I would like to buy a desk for the office. So, I'm going to go to uh there's a used office furniture store.
It's pretty close to my house. just go measure the office and see if we can find a desk because the brand new guy is starting on Monday and I want to get him set up and I want to try to take this serious and I want to try to get this rental thing going like legitimately this year. I'm hiring this guy specifically for this. He's going to have a lot of other stuff to do, but I want him to focus on this and see if we can see if we can even get this thing to pay for itself to start, you know, pay, you know, what I'm paying him and pay for all the equipment and all that kind of stuff. And then if we can and I see more potential in it, then we can keep moving forward, you know, and we'll go this summer and if it's just not working out, I'll give it up. I don't care.
Let's it, you know, it's worth a try.
That's how I look at it. That's how I look at it. I think it has potential. I really do. You know, I rent out a couple things and you're making money, you know, pretty good money on the equipment. So, if I can rent several things out and have things out consistently, I think I can make some money. That's what I'm hoping. All right, I am back.
I'm going to get Big Ray. We'll go shopping for a desk, but I got to measure everything.
See what's going to be possible in there. I'm not going to give a guy a plastic table for a desk. Obviously, I don't know what kind of shape I want.
Like that. Maybe we got tons of room for sure.
Could go like up to 7 ft.
>> Wa.
>> What's up?
How's the clean How's the cleaning going?
>> Huh?
>> Cleaning's going good.
>> Good. Yeah, >> it does look good.
It looks a lot nicer. That motor was supposed to come in. I would have had Daryl fix this today, but it was supposed to come in on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. It's now Friday. I haven't heard anything. Daryl called yesterday and they weren't ready.
So, it wasn't it wasn't ready.
Man, I hope that new wheel motor is perfect. It doesn't give us any troubles in the future. And then I hope that front one doesn't start leaking any worse than it is. It's very minor right now, but I just don't understand it. Why are they leaking? Is there like a problem with the valve or the pump where it's over pressuring the wheel motors and blowing them out? I mean, they shouldn't blow out. It has like less than 200 hours on it. Those should last for like a couple thousand hours, I would imagine.
That's the scary thing. I mean, I don't understand hydraulics well enough to know what it could probably be, but I don't know.
It's a little concerning. Okay, the guys are just rolling in. Man, the T320 is looking rough. Still runs good, though.
I got to run to the bank really quick. I just remembered I got to I got to get to the bank right now or I'm going to have some issues real soon.
And then when I get back, we'll go shopping.
Daryl's Junior is going to be mad when he finds out we go we went shopping for a desk. Okay, pulling back in from my trip to the bank in the winter particularly. It seems this winter I am uh spending a lot more money than I'm making. So, I keep having to dump money from my savings account into my checking account over and over and over again.
So, I'm really glad that we're going to start working in about a week or actually two weeks because uh I got to reverse that trend. That can't go on for too long. That's for sure. It's not good. I hate that feeling, but it is what it is. Did you wash it?
>> Huh?
>> Yeah, >> you did. Yeah.
>> There's so much salt in the bucket.
>> We got to just dump it up.
>> Put salt in.
Did you do back by the engine?
>> You forgot.
>> This thing's getting rusty, man.
>> What?
>> No, it's fine.
>> My welds didn't break yet, eh?
>> No. Nice, man.
>> Okay.
>> Hey, my welder either in my bucket, >> they didn't break.
>> Oh, man. It's good. Okay, that's good.
All right. Uh, I don't even have time to go shopping right now with Big Ray. So, I'm going to tell him when he's done, he's cleaning everything. When he's done, he can go home. The other guys are taking the T320 back. And then I'm going to have them organize all the attachments back on that concrete pad.
Um, clean up some of this wood over here, reorganize that, pick up those strike offs, and so forth. And then I'm going to have them go, too. So, I just don't don't really have much for the guys to do right now. We're kind of putting around. So, one more week, a week from Monday, we'll start working at my house. Then, we'll all be busy again.
So, that'll be good. We're essentially ready for work. There are a few things I got to I got to get and do, but not much. So, at this point, we got to fix that roller. And uh then the new guys starting Monday and we're going to try to work on that stuff and we'll go from there and then our season will be officially underway shortly after that.
All right. I just got done with this potential client. So what he's doing is he's building a whole big garage in his backyard. So he needs a slab for that and then a connected driveway up to his existing driveway. It's kind of a unique layout. Um, but I gave him some pricing online and uh I told him I wanted to come out and see it because you know when you're doing a a floating slab like that, you really got to see the grade first because like on this one for instance, I asked him I said, "Is it in a flat area?
Is the yard flat?" And he said yes. But to him, it looks flat. But when I got up there, I knew that it had pitch. And I actually shot it with a laser and it had 16 1/2 in of of um of slope. So, you know, I have to build those forms up higher over there. A lot more gravel coming in. You know, a couple quad axles more of gravel once you figure in that portion of the driveway as well. So, it's more work than I thought. So, the price that I gave him was too low. And that's what I told him. I said, I just need to come there and see it before I finalize any pricing. And I'm glad that I did. Super nice guy. And I'm pretty sure he's going to do it. And if he does it, I'm I am I don't know 90ome% sure that he's going to use us. And that'll be a nice little project for us. And it's really only about 2 minutes away from the shop, which is perfect. All right, that's it. Stay tuned for next week when uh we'll get a better idea if I'm going to be going out of business or not.
H hopefully some of these jobs start signing up. So, you know what? It'll be okay. It's always okay. I keep telling myself that.
I can always sell the property, right?
Who needs it?
Look at the ducks on there. Not even caring about anything.
Just relaxing, enjoying themselves.
Okay, that's it. I'll see you guys on the next one. Adios.
