Ego is a guardian designed to protect us, but when it becomes loud and defensive, it reveals fear rather than strength; unchecked ego causes us to isolate ourselves from connection and love, but by bravely allowing ourselves to feel emotions without armor, we discover inner strength that the ego never trusted.

Check your ego!!Ajouté :
Ego is a guardian, a quiet sentinel woven into the fabric of who we are, designed to protect us. But the louder it becomes, the more it swells and sharpens, the more fragile the heart beneath it begins to feel. When the ego rises quickly, ready to defend, to attack, to shield at the slightest hint of a threat, it is not strength you're witnessing, it is fear. It is the lack of trust in the soul's ability to endure, to rise, to survive what comes.
Even when the danger is imagined, even when the moment is harmless, even when love stands right in front of you, the ego will even try to protect you from yourself. At first, it feels comforting, like a loyal guard dog at your side, alert, watchful, always ready. But left unchecked, that same protector begins to lose its discernment. It no longer knows the difference between danger and connection, between harm and love. And slowly, without noticing, you begin to harden. You snap at your friends, you strike at the people you care for the most, you push away the hands that reach for you. You close the door to connection, lock the gates around your heart, and call it safety. But it is not safety, it is isolation. You become guarded, cold, bitter. The world loses its color, everything fades into shades of gray.
Nothing feels good, only threatening.
Nothing feels safe, only uncertain. And one day, you look around and realize you are protected, but you are alone. You crave connection, yet fear keeps you distant. You long to love, yet armor weighs too heavy on your chest. So you begin to blame the world, the emptiness, the ache, the quiet hollow in your heart. But if you are brave, brave enough to step in front of your ego and say gently, I can handle this, something begins to shift. You allow yourself to feel pain. You will also feel joy. If you allow yourself to feel shame, you will discover pride. If you allow yourself to truly feel, without armor, without resistance, you will find strength within you that the ego never trusted. A strength that has always been there. So soften, give your ego a moment to rest, let it loosen its grip, let it trust you. You are not as fragile as it believes. You are far stronger than you have ever known.
