Slight improvements in the drought

[00:00:00]We got some slight improvements in our drought status thanks to all the rain that we've been dealing with lately. And remember, the drought didn't start in one day and it's not going to end in one day. This is really kind of a long-term thing that we watch with the beginning of a drought as well as seeing improvements in a drought. So, we had some good rain and we did see some improvements. Now, I want you to see the comparison of what we had in the drought monitor from last week. Look over the metro area and you can see all that red that we had here. That was the level four of drought. That's where we have extreme drought conditions. And then over in west Georgia, that was the orange color last week, which is severe drought. Well, look what we got today.

[00:00:42]And still some red over metro Atlanta, but not as much. And we have more of that orange color that is over on the west side. So, it's showing some improvements here. In fact, I'll step out a little bit so you can get a better look here between what we have now that just came out today versus all of that red that we had last week. So, the whole summary is the drought's not over yet, but we're seeing some improvements. And just with continued rain, we'll see more improvements in our drought status.
