[00:02:29]So, it's been a week since May 4th. Monday, May 4th was the target date to start the grow and we will be delayed by a total of eight days, which it's not too bad.

I did run the ozone generator and we still here and my flesh didn't burn off or melt off. Uh I left the house. Well, I didn't leave the house. I went in the backyard for like 20 minutes. What up, sir?

[00:03:17]Sticky buds. Good morning. So, um for those of you that don't know, I had to reset my grow tent, take a 45day break.

[00:03:26]But just as a contingency, you know, I've heard horror stories of people that have PMF and if you don't clean your tent and like bleach it and sterilize it properly. Um, is your phone in its case? Yes. Why is it still bad the audio or can you guys hear me?

[00:03:51]Um, oh, this Can you guys hear me? The sound is okay. We're good. Pro pyro. Yeah, you can hear me. Anyways, um I'm I'm assuming you can because we're we're celebrating because I'm here because I'm alive after using the ozone generator.

[00:04:08]Um so yeah, we used it yesterday. I put it on this cart. Um put the cart over there. I turn the machine on and um it could be because the exhaust is on.

[00:04:30]Where am I? I'm in my grow tent. Um, so I had to reset my grow tent and I sterilized and cleaned everything, but you know, any kind of mildew spores or any kind of things like that can still live if you don't clean thoroughly. So, the ozone generator takes care of that.

[00:04:52]Um, I wouldn't use it unless you are very very careful and read the directions and know what you are doing.

[00:05:00]I had to read the instructions even though it was very basic. There's just a dial. Um, it's a manual dial. You turn it on, the wires inside turn purple, you hear the sound, you walk out of the room, and you leave for however much time you set it for, plus 30 minutes.

[00:05:19]So, um, yeah, I let it run in the grow tent and I slept real good last night because I've had new seedlings that sprouted. So, I have like maybe 20 new lettuce seedlings on the way. Uh, what up, old throttle? Good morning. Um, and I I um wait my Yeah, I transplanted 20 new seedlings yesterday. I fed my pre-existing growing lettuce seedlings and they're freaking huge today.

[00:05:55]Tomorrow we're going to get them in the tower. They're so big. Um, it's crazy.

[00:06:01]it like my lettuce has never looked so good and now I understand what proper lettuce looks like which is like yeah I'm very very excited about that. Got to stay on top of it though. Um everything else is coming along really really nicely. Did I say good morning storms?

[00:06:35]Tomorrow we're gonna get plants in the grow tent. Um, I'm gonna take you guys for a little spin and uh I know, right, Storms? Um, I am going to take you guys for a spin around and show you what's going on in the grow tent. Um, I set up my seedling station yesterday. Today we set up our new AC Infinity light bars.

[00:07:01]Um, those are awesome. They were so easy to set up and we got a little controller there. Uh, you can set your light intensity. So, I set it in a way where when we have baby seedlings and the light needs to be, you know, um, a little more intense, you can intensify and then as the plants grow, you kind of reduce the intensity if if it gets too close to the light type of deal. [00:07:53]Um, what you cooking, grumpy bulldog, or do we have to wait for the video and see? So, yeah, a couple more things I've got to do today. I have to Today I made a bunch of water. So, today we're going to test the pumps. We're going to make sure the system works. No leaks. We got pumps working. We got water. Um, we got to make sure because I was having some kind of issues with the pumps before and I'm not really sure where I left off.

[00:08:20]So, I got to test those. Um, so I also have to set up the water chiller. So the water chillers I'm probably going to set up after the live. Um, today we're going to fill water in the resz and we are going to turn the system on, the bucket system on. Um, if there's time I will also actually we're not going to fill the tower because the tower we're going to approach differently. Um, rather than what I used to do last time, which is fill nutrients in a threegon bucket, this time I'm just going to make nutrients in water bottles like I'm doing in the ceiling room right now.

[00:08:55]It's a good approach. Um, mix the nutrients in the bottles and then just add the bottles to the grow tower.

[00:09:02]Before I had this weird thing where I was like, uh, are you allowed to use like two premixed bottles and mix them together? But yeah, why why wouldn't you? Like it's the same it's the same thing. Um, have a great day, Bernie.

[00:09:26]So, yeah, water chiller, turn on the system, clip on fans, which like isn't urgent.

[00:09:34]We can kind of position those when we get the seedlings in and fill the grow tower with water. Um, that's really it. Tomorrow we get plants in. Tomorrow we'll fill the grow tower and we'll get the seedlings that are supposed to go in the buckets in um, are we playing with plants today? Tomorrow.

[00:09:55]Today we're playing with water rose. I'm gonna bring in the water and we are going to fill the um just dropped a video of Doc's pet being mainline. Oh, I'm gonna have to check that out.

I'm going like this to just, you know, because I'm excited. Anyways, um so the tomatoes, eggplants, and cucumbers will go in the seedling station. They're not ready to go in the buckets just yet, I don't think. We'll see. Um, and then today we will uh get the buckets filled with water. So, I'll show you guys um what's popping in the grow tent. So, yeah, as I'll take you guys through everything so you guys can see. Be like water and turtle. 100% calves picking up what you're putting down.

[00:10:54]That's the intake fan. We're not going to use that right away. I'll use the passive intake vents or whatever. We got the giant whiteboard. We're going to write our notes on our IPM, all our important stuff. Um, I'm so excited. And thank you, Cass. You know what? I'm really proud of myself. I think I did a great job. The tent looks freaking awesome. Um, these are my AC Infinity light bars. They're full spectrum LEDs. They're magnetic. I put them on my wire racking. I just have to straighten them out a little bit. Um, anyways, we'll adjust them when we get the seedlings in here. And, uh, little controller, right? You can set your lighting schedule. I'm going to turn it off for now because we don't need them on. Um, but I can fit one, two, three, four shelves here. And I can fit 20 seedlings per shelf. Uh, 20 seedlings per tray. So 80 lettuce seedlings or 80 lettuce 80 seedlings total. So it could be lettuce or herbs cuz nothing else is going to be going in the buckets, right?

[00:12:00]What we've um what we've germinated now is what's going in the buckets. Um thank you so much, Mike. Appreciate it. And yeah, I I get it. Um so yeah, 80 uh plants that will be pending so we can get our succession planting going on, right? The lettuce and herbs will go here. And then every time we harvest from the grow tower, we take some from here and put it over there. And like every maybe four weeks, we clean the grow tower. And um yeah, the grow lights are awesome. Um there's just the adapter right there. We got the little controller right here. Um so I'll set a schedule, a lighting schedule when uh we get the seedlings in here. I might get some plants in here tonight um so that they if I can get the environment dialed in. I got to bring in the humidifier because it is 35% and we got seedlings.

[00:12:54]So, I want to get it at least 40 and it's 71. It's a little cold. So, I might turn up the lights just to get some heat going in here. But once we get What's up, Kill It and Grill It? Once we get the water chillers on, it's going to heat things up in here. I'm actually kind of excited about the water chiller because in the summer it gets so cold from the AC. Um, so the bucket systems, this is what we're going to focus on today. But this is the bucket systems. I wanted to get the pumps on the floor, but we're going to try them up here because um the water chiller has to be 2 feet away from the wall. It puts off a lot of heat. Um, the pump I don't want to put it on the floor there because it's going to get hot. This can be a very hot area. I want to keep it away.

[00:13:38]Um, I don't want to put it under here just in case I've got a leak or something. And also the timer, right?

[00:13:44]There's a digital timer on there. It's going to be hard to access. And if I put it in here, I know at one point I'm going to be bitching and complaining that I can't fit in here or whatever.

[00:13:56]So, the best spot for me right now is to put it right here. I haven't zip tied it or affixed it yet. I'm going to, but for now, I'm going to place it there. We're going to test it out. So, I've got the water intake with the filter. So, the water pulls through here through the pump. And I just kind of set this up underneath here. But this is all the lines are connected. Each bucket, the water will flow through each bucket. Um, what's up, MK? Good morning. And yeah, so we don't have to fill all 20 gallons.

[00:14:32]Um, we're going to see how it goes. I brought some little shims down here to to kind of prop under the wheels. These are little rubber um they're from another project around the house. So, they're uh 10 mm shims. So, I'm just going to stick them under the wheels just to kind of angle the system slightly. I zip tied the channel to the coll zip tied the channel to the frame so that you know you walk by you're not going to knock it over because you knock it over the bucket tips over the bucket tips over they all go with it right so um have a great day Cavs thank you so much for hanging out um yeah Jay I'm excited I feel like I uh I feel like I'm on the right track this time uh and then here we have the other bucket system. I'm going to do the same thing. Put the shims and uh again, the pump is going to go here. It's hooked up to the main power outlet. What up, J man? Good morning. And the other pump is also hooked up to that main outlet. So, each outlet has a water chiller, a light, a spider farmer light, and uh a pump even though the pump is low voltage. Um so, that is how that is going to work. The water chiller is um the submersible pump will be connected to the inlet. The inlet will be connected to here. It'll feed through the water chiller and dump it back in here. So, it's literally just going to cool the water within this resz while this runs. I'm going to try to run it continuously. I'm going to try to run it um just all the time. like just set a perpetual timer or if anything just have it shut off for like five seconds every minute or something just to give it a little break. Um, you know, but I think I'm going to try to have it as continuous as possible. And, you know, with the water being cold enough, it should keep the pump cool.

[00:16:39]Um, and then, yeah, you guys saw I brought in the workstation yesterday.

[00:16:43]Okay, we're going to have to figure out where to set up a little grow can. Maybe we want to do it with our lettuce first by the grow tower. That could be fun.

[00:16:53]Um, tonight or this evening or this afternoon. So, my plan today again, fill the res with water. We're going to test the pump on the live right after. What up, Shhatty? Good morning. Um, right after the live, I'm going to set up the water chillers, test those, make sure they work, and then I'm going to get the lights from upstairs from the seedling station to complete the orange tower.

[00:17:17]Plug those in, get that done, and then I'm going to start bringing the seedlings down because now I have enough light for everything that I'm growing because half of it will be going into the grow tower. So, tomorrow the plants are moving in. Well, even this evening, they might move in. Um, I also have to set up my pulse, make sure everything is dialed in before the plants go in. Um, what's up, Hulk? Good morning. So, that's that's the grow tent right now.

[00:17:45]Um, again, seedling station. 10 buckets here to a 20-gallon resz with a water chiller. 10 buckets here to a 20 gallon res with a water chiller. This is not connected to anything. I'm using this just as a table. These are going to be our after dark plants. Um we're going to have four of those onegon pots just placed on the buckets and it'll act as a table. We'll have our after dark banner there. It's going to be sick. Um what's up farmer Chaz? Good morning. So, yeah, that's uh we're going to start off by putting the lettuce in the green tower and maybe herbs in the orange tower. And uh I mean, I've got so many seedlings now. Both towers are going to fill up within about a week. Um yeah, so we just have to put Coco for the afterdark. Yes.

[00:18:41]Um we just have to put our oscillating fan. So, we got our the AC infinity uh 6 in clip fans. So, I'm going to I think I'm going to put maybe one here and one there. We'll see. Kind of like pointing downward, you know. And then I've got my Vivo Sun oscillating clip band. I'll put it right here and it'll oscillate for the afterd dark plants. Um, and I think I think that's it. And then yesterday morning I set up all my fans up here.

[00:19:11]Right. So, these are just 18inch wall fans. Um they have uh you can either exhaust or intake, you know, and um it uh has three different settings. Hanging plants. I don't see any. No plants yet.

[00:19:30]Tomorrow. Tomorrow. So that is the grow tent. The setup looks so freaking good.

[00:19:36]I'm I'm very excited about it. And like from a camera perspective or content perspective, it looks awesome. I've also got lids for these totes. Um, so I will be placing lids on top so that plant matter, you know, when we're pruning and stuff isn't falling into the resz. Um, but it'll literally have to be placed on top because you see how that kind of overhangs. And also I have to keep into consider take into consideration that there's these little holes in the tote, right? So I want to make sure that water isn't going to pull right here and start leaking through there. So I might have to put something down there. So today's a test and if I need to go out this afternoon and grab a little part or something to make sure it all works, um, then I will. Looks like everything and everyone survived from Yeah. So, um for those of you that missed it, I used the ozone machine yesterday and uh just blasted the tent. So, anything like bugs, powdery mildew, mold, um any kind of bacteria or pathogens, bye-bye.

In the summer, I have the air conditioning on. My basement gets so cold. I can't keep my tent like above 50. Sorry, I'm seeing 50 over there. So, I can't keep my tent above um what was it?

I just really want to get the environment dialed in so I can at least get the lettuce in the grow towers. And that'll give me I have like a few days to to figure out the buckets.

Um yeah, because of the buckets, they're not going lengthwise. so lengthwise made the tent look like so long and far, but once we get plants in here, it may look a little bigger or it may still look smaller. I don't know. Um, but I don't mind it because even if I'm hanging here and sitting down, the the optics look so much better, right? We're going to have plants in the towers behind me and then here we're going to have plants. It's going to be beautiful. It's going to be much nicer, a much nicer looking set or background. Um, just if we're talking like just contentwise.

[00:26:43]Um, all right. So, I guess I'll bring some water in. Um, oh, I'm growing my own food, Brian. So, I don't have a drying room. But for my after dark plants, the ones that I did grow, my drying room was a paper bag in the garage.

[00:27:08]But do I have room? Yeah, I actually have quite a bit of room. It's more spaced out than how it used to be. So, um here I've got about 2 ft of I'm just going to slide this over. Um I've got about 2 ft of space between here and then here. Um I have quite a bit of room. Like this is just a seedling station here.

Um, paper bag in the garage is old school gangster. Um, I look J man, they don't have one this size, but I'll have to look again or figure something out.

I know we've already been down this road, but yeah, because yesterday when I was setting everything up and when I was like zip tying the stuff, I was like, "Oh [ __ ] the water is going to go like right through here." So, um, yeah, I don't know. But the shims seem to be angling the system, so that's good. Um, so yeah, I'll have to get something before adding water in. But I made a bunch of water, the flat ones, gutter extension. Look online, Home Depot. Okay, I'm going to have to look. Um, yeah, I feel like those are I'll have to cut it though, probably. Anyways, I'm going to look.

[00:29:14]You know what's going to happen, MK? the water is going to like pull over here and then it's going to spill right through here, right on the floor and I'm going to have water everywhere. That That's my worry. So, I'll fix that. But other than that, I think we're good.

[00:29:33]Like maybe we can fire up the green tower today and test it out so I can get my lettuce in. Um but yeah, and then I've got quite a bit of room to walk around. Um, the nice part is before I couldn't walk around the either side of both buckets. I only had on one side I only had access to one side and then on the other side I had crazy indeterminant tomatoes. So I had a hard time accessing from the other side and I had to squeeze through the middle. It was like a foot and a half of space. So this is 2 feet of space and then like I said here um it's all open. I can work with my plants. Um, I can move around easily. I can fix misting nozzles easily from this side if I have to. And then same with over there, right? What up, CD Racing?

[00:30:20]Good to see you. Um, Brian, this is in my basement. And then I have um the afterdark table where there's more than enough room to walk around. And I tested yesterday I can actually wheel it and just put it back here horizontally if I had to just so that it stays out of the way for these lives. Um and then and then I would like to get some more of these light bars. Doesn't have to be these ones, but magnetic light bars because I tested it yesterday and it looks great. If I attach some of these bars either vertically up and down or even this way and I add some light bars at least on one side of the tower, it'll provide some more light. Um, thanks so much, Jay. Appreciate it. Yeah, I overall there's a couple things I'm still missing, but like I said, we're not going to rush it. We're going to do it properly. Um, really the only thing I'd really like to get done is get the lettuce in the grow tower. Um, get the environment dialed in so that I can do that. Um, mind you, it is a little bit cooler, so it's probably a good thing.

[00:31:30]The lettuce will like that. It's 74 on this side and 36% humidity.

[00:31:38]And uh, thank you, CD Racing. Appreciate that. And on this side, it's actually much colder. It's 71° 35° or 35% humidity. So, I feel like the water chillers will be good, especially in the summer. Like I said, I have a hard time keeping it above 70 in here in the summer. Um, so, okay, I have to Yeah, I need at minimum 40%. So, we're going to bring the humidifier in here um right after the live and fill it and have it running. Actually, I can even go get it now. Um, I would like to actually, no, I shouldn't. I'll do it after the live just because I'd like to wipe it down and make sure it's clean. Um, but I'm going to set it up so that it's running.

[00:32:37]Yeah, the once I have the tower operating with water in it, um the thing is I'm not prepared to get everything in the tower today because all my nutrients is upstairs and um all my stuff. So, okay, today's another day of updating you, whatever. But I've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes off the live.

[00:33:28]A little bit weird without the yellow tower. Um, but the yellow tower. So, I transplanted 20 seeds, uh, lettuce seeds that sprouted yesterday. Those will be for the grow tower outside. And uh we'll try we'll try our hand at some outdoor lettuce in the grow tower. Um the after dark plants will start the seeds in maybe four week three four weeks. I need to wait till everything else is nearing flowering before I can um do 1212 lighting schedule. So, I'm going to start off I think with was it 168 or 186? I forget. There's one that's like for cannabis that's like is it 168? I don't know. But then there's one that's like for peppers and stuff where it's 18. I don't know, man. I reverse them.

[00:34:38]I gotta order my dirt for my outdoor garden. Um, so yeah, in the we're gonna do the green grow tower is going to be all our romaine lettuce. And then I have a ton of like tats soy and basil and parsley and dill that just sprouted. So I'm going to transplant that today and then in the next few days we'll get it in the tower. What's up, Mia? We're alive. Um, yeah, we used the ozone generator yesterday and let me tell you, the grow tent, it smells like a brand freaking new car. Like I just walked in to a new car. It smells so new. Like I just got it from the manufacturer. It's actually kind of weird.

[00:35:35]Um, so yeah, I am very excited. We're so close. And uh, tomorrow, so this afternoon, I'll probably bring um, you know, the nutrients downstairs so that I'm ready to start working down here.

[00:35:52]Um, because our seedling station is set up now. I'll bring the seedlings and then I have to get this system tested and turned on today. So, I have to go I have to figure something out whether I order a piece off Amazon or whatever. Uh I'm just going to get my measuring tape quick so that I can give it a quick measure and see what size I need.

[00:36:21]And then all my nutrients, all my, you know, IPM products, all my bottles, everything is going to stay out of the grow tent. I used to keep it in the grow tent. Um, I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm going to keep everything out of the grow tent. Um, the only thing I might keep are like my supplies to mix the nutrients, clean supplies. So, I got my shot glasses in the mail, my 40 oz shot glasses. I got my 100 mil syringes. I got my one liter watering pitchers um to handwater my after dark plants. And I got what else did I get? I got some other stuff. Oh, I got to get um blue and yellow sticky traps. We're going to do a combination of them around here.

We've got we got lettuce, we've got herbs, we've got eggplant, we got cucumber, we got tomatoes, got a bunch of pepper varieties, we're going to do some flowers, and we're going to do some after dark plants. So, yeah, we got a bunch of stuff going on. And we're going to do a little bit of micro greens. It's going to be great. I'm excited about this run. [00:45:22]Some of my seedlings germinated in two days using the wet paper towel method. I love the wet paper towel method. So now I've really the lettuce. You guys should see the seedlings that I transplanted yesterday. Now as soon as they sprout, I open the paper towel sandwich. I remove the top layer of the paper towel and I leave the dome lid closed and then the next day I crack it and then the next day I open it and it's like it's perfect and then they're ready to be transplanted and the roots get pretty thick. Um hash I mean I thought I told you guys about myself already. This is who I am.

[00:47:30]The two-inch net pots go inside the little port. There's water that kind of sits in this little scoop. And then we got an irrigation pipe up here. This disperses the water or distributes the water among the inner walls of the grow tower. And the black base at the bottom is the reds. Um, so yeah, we do lettuce and herbs. It's great for leafy greens and stuff. I wouldn't really do tomatoes or anything unless you had more light, maybe some trellis support. Um, strawberries would be great if we had a little more light. So, yeah, I cannot wait. We're going to get the lettuce in here tomorrow.

[00:51:26]What a difference. I didn't realize how bad my lettuce was in the past until I see how good or how not even good, just how normal it looks now. The Roma actually has like a like a core. It's not just floppy limp lettuce.

[00:52:16]Yeah, man. It looks so good. The lighting is everything, Rose. As soon as I got the PPFD dialed in and I was giving them the right nutrients, everything just took off. You remember there was a while where everything was yellow and I thought, "Okay, not enough nutrients, this or that." And I should have trusted my gut initially. It was too much light. And then when I eliminated some of the light, everything really started to get super green. And now it's like the lettuce, they look like little baby cabbages almost.

[00:52:47]They're growing in such a beautiful formation. It's so awesome. So, you guys will get to meet the Oh, what about the Mater babies? So, Rose, the ones that were stunted, I had to get rid of them.

[00:53:01]Um, I'm just trying to think like, did I go outside anywhere? I want to take you guys to the ceiling real quick, but I'll show you guys tomorrow. It's fine. We'll wait till tomorrow. Um, so the I had cucumbers and tomatoes and uh yeah, cucumbers and tomatoes that were so stunted that I decided to start new seeds and we said we were going to keep the stunted ones just to see. Um, I threw out the cucumber and I threw out most of the tomatoes with the exception of one and even today it's like h it doesn't look great. Whereas the other ones, they sprouted and I got them right into the tray of water with nutrients with the correct lighting and now they're like they're so happy. They're like dying to grow. Even the codal eatens every day they get larger. Now we're getting true leaves. Um it's I almost forgot what it was like, you know, when you start I mean lettuce is whatever, but like what's up? Bless. I'm so excited. Everything is looking so beautiful. Um, I did my first IPM on the lettuce yesterday. I'm a little bit nerv like they still look okay. I don't know how I don't know. That's something I want to ask people in the chat. For those of you that have a regular IPM routine for your indoor garden, when is it when do you start implementing IPM? Like as soon as the seed sprouts, when you have a first true leaf. Um, how do you What's your Don't spray your lettuce.

[00:55:51]Um, what am I use? Oh, somebody also asked me what nutrients I'm using, and I forgot to answer the question. I'm using the Flora series, um, the General Hydroponics three-part flora series.

[00:56:06]So, I'm going to be using Neem oil and Lost Coast. I'm going to be using 1% hydrogen peroxide, and I'm going to be using um, Athena IPM. I'm going to be alternating the three of those. Um, might as well taste whatever's in those bottles to see if you have if you're going to like the flavor. Okay.

[00:56:26]Um, so yeah, I um I don't know. We'll we'll start IPM, I guess, when they look a little less seedling.

It was just 1% H2O2. It wasn't a big deal or anything. Um I just I don't know, man. I thought I should start IPM when I know. You'll see the lettuce tomorrow.

Um, so and I also had to sterilize my dehumidifier. I had to sterilize my air purifier. So we're going to get that in and I had to sterilize the vacuum. Had to bring that back in. So I did a lot this morning and like I said this afternoon, test the system. We're going to find something even if it's temporary just to get the water flowing back into the resz without any leakage or spillage. And um yeah, tomorrow we'll at least get the lettuce in the grow tower.
