We got Steve River saying hello. Javina, who was actually at the uh previous show earlier today, saying, "My son just came back home with a load of robot parts."

>> I I saw this lad. I were upstairs. We' had the break. I think he'd been on a VIP tour and he come upstairs and he got he managed to get hold of a bolt from the arena. He'd got three or four parts from different robots, but he's been coming for a while. Yeah, we've got a that's what I got you yesterday.
>> What you found me yesterday was a nice nice early birthday present for me.
Yeah. [laughter] I thought we sent this off to NASA though. We forgot to send it in Royal Mail.
>> NASA are fast.
>> Yeah, they are. They are. They sent it back and they've said, "Yeah, ET's had that. Go home."

[laughter] Oh, no. I do hate when I don't see the ending of Coronation Street >> stage as well at the end and speak to John and answer Kitty's question, which were pretty cool.
>> So, we've not seen Kitty yet. Um, what what messages have we got? Uh, we got Tyler. Hello, Tyler saying, "Finally made it to one of these streams. Is this your first time, Taylor? Jamie Begoyne says, "I don't use a headset, but Jamie sends me upwards of 25 minutes of meaningless dribble via voice message. That sounds about right on WhatsApp on a daily basis. Does that count?" I guess you you do voice notes as well, don't you?
>> Yeah, I always do a lot of voice notes.
So, people will open a message from me and it most likely will be a voice note.
Uh, it's cuz I'm from Barnes and I can't spell. We didn't get to talk to read and write. So, I prefer voice notes. Plus, you know, I like the sound of my own voice.

>> And it's it's a it's well, it's it's memorable. I think it's Husky.
>> Uh we've got we we've actually uh we've actually had uh an audience member from France getting in touch with us as well.
I can't seem to find them on the live chat page, but also we did have an international robot yesterday of Brutus all the way from Belgium which sadly Danny they didn't bring their spare spare parts or motor and because of that they had one fight it was Kaput and they've already gone home.
>> So when you hear the word Brutus >> what automatically pops into your head?
It's a good question. I'm not sure. What have you got?
>> Well, for me it's the uh Popeye in it and they call him Brutus, >> the bad guy.
>> Oh, yes. Yeah. The big the big guy with the beard. Yes.
>> And then not olive oil. [laughter] >> I've got somebody in me say a box of grapes and a bottle of wine. I don't know what's happening here.
>> Where's the crossods? That's my question. Where's the crossods? Well, um anyway, yes, do reach out. As we said, we've got a four-way battle coming up very shortly. Now, in the last stream, [laughter] >> all sorts of dribble on here, so don't be ashamed. You know, we're like agony uncles right now as well.

Sorry, not Danish shirt, the Dutch shirt for team Inferno, which uh Hungry B poor John is trying to figure out how to win with that robot, him and his son. And they're not even in the same team.
>> They nearly won the other week. They were they were claws. They wore claws.
It were like a balls whisker.
>> Right. You could have >> by that much.
>> You could have took the tip off this ball sausage and it would have won. I'm telling you.
>> We're measuring things from >> measuring. We're measuring the ball sausage.
the hungry ball stickler, but it were close. And this is it. You see, sometimes the robots, they look mean, they look aggressive, but they're not. I mean, we had a little hammer man, didn't we, earlier on and it turned out?
>> He won.
>> Yeah. Went a bit limp, but he got there.
>> Shane certainly enjoyed having that chat on the last stream.
>> Oh, he loved it. And he he loved that he took your seat.
>> I know he did. It'll be overing around today. I'm going to miss him.

Oh, there's a there's the miniature baby version of Gabrielle. Well, maybe it's Father's Day for Gabrielle with Saint there. So, Divinity had a bit of a shocker last show. Usually, they've been winning. So, I'm sat here.
>> They haven't won a show yet this weekend. And here is Poseidon as I accidentally used to call him Posidon.
Uh, which sounds like some sort of form of kebab. But anyway, >> posidom. I've never had a kebab or posidon.

>> No, no. I'm a bit worried where I'm getting them from now. All the way in Wellington in Telford. I got to be careful. [laughter] Anyway, what happens if Wellington stays in Wellington. So, here we go then. Our first fight of the day, Danny. Sorry, not the day of the show. And uh well, of course, points on offer here. Three points for the winner.
And they're all up against each other now.

>> It's been a warm weekend, ladies and gentlemen. And even even for these robots, they could uh Oh, wow. They could easily drive with the CO2 being used so much here.
And as we can see now, Poseidon are going in for Saint and now he needs to win this.
>> Oh, he's not afraid in this one. He's going for them all. That's in Ollie Finley's team of team Inferno, our youngest captain of the weekend. Oh, bit of a sandwich there for Hungry B.
Actually, putting these in a sandwich would probably taste quite nice. Oh, there we go. Well, now he's upside down, but it still works. Certainly does.
>> The side's having him though. Oh, it's getting flipped out. Oh.
>> Oh, wow.
>> Tried to get in.
>> I think Ripp has lost its maneuver and it can only use the flipper or salt pit.
Oh no, there we go. The wheels are going again.

>> Oh, stay careful. They're never aware of that arena flipper, that's for sure.
Of course, we did used to have a pit in the middle, which was always entertaining for someone who would even take advantage and dominate, they'd still fall in. But these days, they've got those two corners for them to be flipped out of. Hungry ball. If it gets the right impact, it's done it before, taking someone out the arena, even without a flipper. There's 30 seconds to go.
Oh, hang on a minute. THE SAINTS. OH, YES. [screaming] OH, NEARLY. YES, >> WE'VE GOT THE FIRE. FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, >> I'm kidding. I'm tired.
>> Safety is on fire. The arena is terrified. That was terrible.
>> Now they're going to try and barbecue the ball here.

>> Poor old Divinity. They've gone down to flames. We're one way down.
>> It seems as though it's become a curse now since you watched them on here.
>> I know.
Well, there's going to be Well, our judges will now decide who won between them three. So, we got two judges of Pete and Dave.
>> I'm I'm dropping. I'm flying.
>> Totally understandable.
>> You know, Dallas is only down the road as well.
>> How many hours was the flight?
>> Uh 9 and a half hours.
>> Yeah, that's a that's a long one. I bet your arms ache.
Well, that I was actually having a row with somebody on plane cuz he put his chair back and it rammed the table into me belly. So I rammed me with my belly and he said, "What you doing?" I says, "Mate, put your chair up."
>> There's the winner.
>> Team Quake. So that puts them a good start to the show. That means Poseidon >> Will's hometown.
>> Yeah. Yes, it is. And Posidon has done it again.
>> I think it's better than Poseidon to be honest with you. There's Quake with three points there on the leaderboard which uh one win is three points for any of you who are new to the point system but Quake won the last show as well.
>> Well maybe as well you're thinking about that French person that come on talking.
That's why you've turned it to >> pos.
Sounds a bit French.
>> It does a bit does a bit doesn't it?
Where's the cross? That's what I'm wondering. And the red wine. Anyway, we're going to hear from Ellie very shortly with our captain Will. uh and then find out how he's feeling because as you say it's a local event. He feels the pressure here but last show he did well. He got the show win and Quake weren't in great form going into this weekend.

>> Oh, well, Will, another cracking win for you here at your home arena. It's amazing to have you here and you're smashing it every single fight. You must be overjoyed with that result.
>> Yeah, really pleased with how the robots are going now. We've got them all dialed in. So, while some other teams are getting a bit more tired as they get through the weekend, we seem to be sort of rising up instead. Great win there with Poseidon. Won out the arena, loads of flips. Let's keep it going now for one more show.
>> Absolutely. Now, if we just take a little look back at the beginning of the season, you know, you added loads of new tweaks, loads of bits of different kit on your robots. Those fancy forks with Poseidon, they really do seem to be doing the trick.
>> Yeah, that's probably our biggest upgrade, getting some forks on the front of the robot just so we can play this ground game and get underneath them. And I think that was the secret to us winning there.
>> Well, it clearly is paying off for you, Will. You've got some amazing super fans out there in the crowd. Let's give them that cheer. Over to you, Will.
>> Okay, Officer Army, let's make the ground.

>> Oh, the Quakes. Why? Why is it only me who shakes? I must have something wrong with me. We've got Henry first time.
Well, he's been on the stream before, but not as my special guest for a fight.
Henry, the the the maestro of the Fif and probably Gabriel at the moment this season. How are you doing, my friend?
>> Doing all right. Been bit unlucky. Uh >> unlucky. You've had a great year so far.
>> Yeah, bit unlucky. Last show I made some stupid mistakes. I was a bit too nice.
That's not going to happen again.
>> Do you not blame the heat? The heat does change people.
>> Yeah, honestly I'm I'm dying. [laughter] So tired.
>> It has been warm. I mean, where we are Guilford, you know, near London, it can be a warm place of of the UK, especially down south around 30° at least. So, it's h Yeah, it's not easy. And and for you guys as well with flippers, >> I must admit I thought we'd see more, but normally the warmer the arena is, the more height there should be. Am I Am I correct? We have not seen that this weekend, though.
>> No. I mean, with a couple flippers, they've >> maybe been lasting a bit longer. I I don't really know, but uh >> Yeah.
>> No, no.
>> So, of course, you're you've got a break. You've got another fight straight after this next one. Uh which involves the fight for teaming up with Gabriel.
That must be a bit confusing because you can't be both of them, mate. So, who controls the other one?
>> One hand on each.
>> Oh, no surprise. This the the goat is literally sitting right next to me as we speak. But but the fire of course what's what is it with that robot this this year? I mean we've had the fifth for a while now but feels like this is the best season it's had so far.
>> Yeah, definitely. I mean last year we didn't even make the top 16 and this weekend we're fighting for the title belt. So it's it's a massive jump and it's all thanks to the XR Academy. Um Jonno took it away. uh added a bunch of things, changed a bunch of things. The drive's the exact same, >> but it's just the weapon and the shape is really just making it a great robot now.
>> Absolutely. Well, we can just see in the arena that uh we've got Tectonic coming in. Uh we've got Danny who's with someone backstage. Let's have a word with Danny.
>> Now then, guys, how you doing, S? That's it. I've jumped from there with Jamie.
I'm now round back. We've got the robots here. Look, we've got the strawberry shark, raspberry raptor.
We've got big this big beast going in.
But let's have a look who's going in now. Rippers going in. We've got Leviathan here ready to go, guys.
Backstage action. This is what you want to see. This is amazing. We have got John and Will facing off against each other. Let's get over here. As you can see, the other teams, they do come and gather around. They do like to see what's going on with a competition.
Right, we're lucky enough that we can see it from this side. The doors shut.

>> Cheers, Danny. So, one versus one coming up now in the arena, which always feels a bit more personal. So, Tectonic versus Riper. Let's commentate on this together, Henry. >> Yeah. I mean, Riperate with the long forks is getting under Tectonic most of the time, but Tectonic's coming back.
>> Who have you got on this one then? Who would you who would you be backing?
>> Oh, I mean, it's going to be a close one. Both of them are great, but I'm going to say Ripper. I'll tell you what though, the arena flipper just completely took took tectonic out there.
And for for for a roboter like yourself, when your robot gets affected by the flipper, can that change everything or can you get control back quite quickly?
>> Uh, it depends how you land. Sometimes you land back on your wheels, sometimes you almost got him out.
>> Great camera work. But I must admit, I did feel for Michael then. If that went and hit the camera, that would have been a lot of money.
Don't think they got insurance either.
>> It's a nice target for us all.
>> You love that box, don't you? You need to just put like a target sign next to it for future shows. So, here they come again. Of course, no forks on Tectonic.
Uh, Ripper's one of those very few that has got that, which I like to call it fork gate. Uh, cuz everyone's been trying it, but you haven't.
>> No. No. Leviathan can't cuz I won't be able to selfright. I struggling as it is. Oh. Oh, he's almost got him out.
>> Nearly. Nearly. Going to try again here.
I always think when it's one-on-one, it's very more likely. There we go.

I'm just going to see if there's any messages on the live chat page. Uh Trevina Denny when I was mentioning Posidon before instead of Poseidon saying that sounds like Papa Doms. It does a bit. Oh. Oh, I do like a I do like a Papa. Let's go see what Ellie's got.
>> Well, John, another cracking win there for team Wolfpack. You know, you've had quite a turbulent year, but it's always nice to get those points on the board nice and early. Yeah, I mean fighting Will, you don't know. He's not going to make a mistake and you got to be on him.
And uh yeah, I think we're about 50/50 now, but my driving was on point then.
He made a mistake. I was flip flip flip.
So yeah, we'll take that rip. Had gasoline, so it was like it's like a team train, so I know I didn't have long. That's why I was going hell for leather trying to get him out. It's not very often I get robots out. That's the first one in a very long time. So I'll take that. It's very good.
>> I mean, it was a fantastic drive. How did you manage to get it out? Is there any tactics that you use there?
It's low pressure, so you know he's not going to have a massive flip. Otherwise, you wouldn't nearly go, you wouldn't normally go near the walls. Um, so there was about four occasions where I nearly got him over there, and that was just a lucky shot. And out he went.
>> Well, the luck of the jaw clearly paid off for you there, John. I'm going to let you lead the howl for the XR. We want big voices. Massive. Are you ready, John?
>> We're ready. Here we go.
>> Give it up for John from team Wolfpack.
>> I just said a wolf. Not again. Not again. Oh, there he is. There's wolves everywhere. I don't want to have what happened in Brmley a few years ago. They were everywhere. But again, they did look like foxes. They were orange. Maybe they were foxes. Speaking of orange, hopefully we'll see Shane later on the live stream to join us for a fight. But we do have uh a tag team battle taking place in the third fight. Ellie, let's get you in. We haven't had you on the stream yet. Ellie, how are you, my friend? Uh it's it's been quite the It's warm today, though, isn't it? Jamie, we are feeling the heat here in Guilford. I mean, I'm an Ortherner and I came down here and it was about, I don't know, about five, six degrees warmer and this arena, I mean, the gas, I'm not quite sure of the technicalities of it.
Extreme robot army, but all I can say is hot.
>> It is very hot. I mean, what what have you enjoyed about Guilford so far? Of course, you've been here all afternoon.
Of course, you had the cricket yesterday. I'm very jealous, but but how how have you found it coming back here for Gilford?
>> Do you know what? I always love it when somebody performs in front of a home crowd. You know, we've got Will here from Team Quake. He's local to Guilford.
He's actually got one of his apprentices here. I don't know if you caught that earlier on in the other show. So, he actually um trained him at school.
>> And as you can see, look, we've got Viper going in now.
>> And Will's had a great day. But Ollie coming on top as team captain, stepping in for Michael. Viper's a newer robot, but it seems to be really delivering.
>> I tell you what, he's come so far though, hasn't he Ollie? I mean, we've seen him grow up so quickly and him now being captain for Michael's team.
Michael, you know, goes away for one weekend and he carries on winning the shows for him. He's let him do all the work.
>> Well, I know, but I have heard that Michael's been celebrating the couple of wins that Team Inferno have had with a nice strawberry der. He said he likes to keep it in the family. You know, Team Inferno Red Strawberry Dax all in the family.
>> Brilliant. Fantastic. Well, we've got our next fight coming up, which is the tag team battle. Troublemaker and Viper representing Inferno. The Fifon and Gabriel. There's the Fifth coming in now. Troublemaker watching on there. Of course, they're not in the same teams.
We just had Henry on the stream. And Henry's another one, Ellie. You know, he's we've seen the Fifon here for a while. There's Charlie, one of our young roboters. But they all they all certainly go through different forms of their own robots.
>> Yeah. I mean, I think it's all about this young new hungry generation, Jamie.
You know, we've got Henry, like you say, we've got Ollie. We've got Charlie from Troublemaker. Now, Charlie's at the very beginning of his journey. We've seen Ollie's growth, but Charlie, I feel he really is one to watch. Being led by Ollie on Team Inferno, being led by Michael, you can already see that partnership of them all working together. It's brilliant to see, and I think we're going to be in for a treat with this next one, Jamie.
>> Absolutely. It's great to see them the fist bump there. They may be up against each other, some of these guys, but of course, they're all a family back there.
Lovely community in the Extreme Robots world. Uh, but yeah, so we've just got Well, I think everyone's in now. Gabriel with the fire up against Troublemaker and Viper Journal State for this one.
>> I mean, why not Jamie? It's a great view. Loving it.
>> I know. I just get to sit here. You guys have to do all the running around. I feel terrible, especially on how hot it is. Anyway, I've got here. Yeah, I've got a bit more powerful. There we go then. Two against two. And Gabriel so loud, Ellie.
>> Oh, I mean, any machine going up against Gabriel, you're sure going to be scared, are you? I mean, I'm only 5'2, but it Gabriel is actually bigger and wider and longer than BJ.
>> Well, ever since it's gone with a sword, it's been absolutely terrific.

Viper. Actually, I think it's >> out. Leviathan.
>> Oh, Henry is going to be good. He's been working so hard on Leviathan. I mean, surely it's not game over just yet.
Jamie, >> he's going to blame me early for having him distracted and coming on the stream and not fixing his robot. He uh of course he had he's had a great season, but this is probably a performance he was not expecting.
>> But four shows, Jamie, it's all about that longevity. You know, keeping the robots, making sure that they can last the full test. They're going in and out of the arena. They're tweaking them backstage here, but sometimes it's just not enough to get them through that big four show battle.
>> And you're quite right because of course we don't normally do four shows. So this fourth show really is about it's an endurance challenge for them all. As we can see now, Gabriel on its own against Viper Troublemaker. And as you can see with the two robots surrounding Gabriel, it might actually help with the points here. It was able to just get in between the eyes of Troublemaker. Oh no, it's gone underneath. And just watch, ladies and gentlemen, how Charlie maneuvers Troublemaker to try and go in there and avoid the sword. Just like that.
>> I tell you what, Charlie really is one to watch there with Troublemaker. Lovely boy, lovely manners for a cracking robot, Jason.

>> I know cuz that really can have an effect the external factor on the robots. I mean, if you look back to Newcastle last year, we had that heat wave and Crave was really struggling with his gas canisters in Team Divinity.

>> It feels awesome. I've known Ollie for quite a while now. So to finally get some fights in together, show that, you know, we can do it even as some of the youngest drivers here. It feels really good.
>> I mean, you're doing a remarkable job, Ollie. You've stepped in this weekend as team captain. You've had a great weekend all round. But look, Viper did struggle a little bit there. Talk to me what went on.
>> Yeah, so that was a great fight with Charlie there. Two youngsters going at it, tag teaming. It was a great fight, but at the end there, I couldn't drive out. So, I think one of my motors are spinning, but they're not connecting to the wheel. So, I'm going to have to have go and have a look at that.
>> And will Viper be going in again in the show?
>> We'll have to see. It's meant to be in the last fight, but I need to get back there and try and fix it if it is going to.
>> Watch that space. I can feel the stress.

They always come up and take part of fight club and try and get into the main show. But this is a big moment for them. I don't think they've ever actually challenged for the bout before. Um at university we're both mechanical engineering students [music] and we do things like um CAD CAM the physics of bending moments [music] sheer stresses things like that where a lot of these other students I'm noticing that they can't visualize it where when they've said oh this is how things [music] shear and fracture I have a bit more of an advantage cuz I can visualize exactly what [music] in In a real world scenario as robeteering, how do things break?
Obviously, I already know how to use a lathe. I already know how to use [music] a mill to make quite complex parts which are most of the time more complicated than what you need to make at uni. So, I can kind of relax and [music] focus on more of the stuff that I find difficult.
>> I'm starting a mechanical engineering apprenticeship [music] in September. Um, so I've always had an interest to do with that sort of thing. But I'd say going to these robotic events [music] and being able to see it in action, problem solving, everything like that, it's just it's been really exciting to learn everything and I've definitely [music] learned a lot from my brothers and from dad. I definitely think it will help me in my studies. It's given me a more practical experience, I'd [music] say, as well as like it's puts you in situations you're not expecting. So [music] obviously you've got to think on the spot.
>> The world of robots, you can't predict it. I think it teaches you, but people probably wouldn't like me saying it teach you how to bodgege properly is a night in the nicest way. You know, it doesn't have to be [music] precise all the time. It can just be I think this might work. Let's try it out. Obviously, going into my profession now where studying for my [music] PhD in surgical robotics, that's complete other end of the spectrum, you know, with like sub millimeter accuracy at [music] times.
So, I think having both sides of that is really, really important.

Uh, we got a spinners fight. You picked the right one to come to. Absolutely. I saw no one was here. I had to quickly get in there and no one was looking.
[laughter] >> Yeah, you sneaked in very well. He came in literally just as we speak. So, here we go then, Charlie. Let's get some of your analysis here, which I know is something you want to do on social media.
>> Yeah. They are so straight away. Voltai spinner are very fast to get up to speed. So they're already winding up.
>> I think look, it's already stopped spinning. That took one hit.
>> Yeah, not really surprised.
>> Wow. As we can see, Shane was on cloud nine earlier with their robot of Hellhound. That's the one with the little axe. The smallest axe I've ever seen. It's even smaller than an ant weight.
>> It is absolutely tiny, but it's just scores points. Every time he hits someone, he gets a point. So, it doesn't really matter. But all he wants to do here is try and hit Voltai as hard as it can to try and make it hurt itself.
>> I think Lugnut's done. But look at this.
We saw this yesterday between Voltai and Talio 2 in which Talio 2 was able to get Voltai stuck ON ITS CHAIN. OH, and as you can see, TALIO 2 IS OH, WOW. NIGHT RIDER FLYING IN THE AIR THERE. But Talio 2, of course, has proven that it can take on spinners, especially against Faultai. And while we had four robots, now we're down to three. And then you can see there's debris all over the floor. And look, they can't do anything.
They're stuck again. Hellhound's going to win.
>> You can't get the Hellhound could be winning two two fights in one show here.
Oh, what a separation that I've proven to be.
>> Yeah, that's that's Hellhound being very nice there, helping them out.

>> Yeah, I think Voltai is getting pulse. I think Voltai might be struggling with one side of drive. You can see one wheel spinning, the other one isn't going anywhere.

What What's going on there? Yeah, we created Instagram a couple of weeks ago.
We're going to be uploading kind of two, three times a week talking about our robots, our events, future plans, what we're going to be doing. Maybe even make a YouTube channel. Do some kind of fight.

>> You see, you see this is the thing because obviously I Extreme Robots, we do do different ranges of content as well as the live streaming. We have Danny versus Robots capturing what happens backstage and also highlights from these fights over on our YouTube output. But what I always find is that I don't think we've had an angle of analysis before of, you know, why did this happen? Why does that not work? Or why has the robot been built like this?
And I do think bit like Gary Neville in the football world, how he analysizes players and football matches. But I think you've got a bit of a niche that you're picking up there.
>> Yeah. I mean, it's something that I would absolutely love to do. So, even if maybe it doesn't catch on to be this super big thing, I'm going to have a whale of a time doing it. And I've I've got Cameron who's going to be doing some of it with me as well.

>> Yeah, absolutely. He's actually going to be driving in the final.

Or anything with them. So they came all the way for one fight and then went home which we were gutted because Brutus proved to have well did very well in its fight and certainly with the new additions that they put on it since we last had Brutus here it was a fantastic addition to those robots and uh I do like a pushbot. I don't know about you they're not easy to to come about with and fight with but they certainly do bring in a different mix to the arena.
>> Well if you like them so much you'll be very glad to know we're probably going to be making one.

>> I think Ripper 8 is one of the best built flippers that we have at Extreme Robots.

Our four-way battle. We do love a four-way battle, Charlie, cuz so much can happen in these three. It's just chaos already.

>> If this was my robot, the CO2 would have stopped by now because I'd be out. How has he still got more left?
>> Well, Hungry Ball of course has been in some close battles recently, but has struggled to get a win. And at the moment, Ripper has been getting a lot more impact towards that robot. And I think after a minute gone, we are down to two robots.
Ripper eight up against Hungry B.
It's very hard to win a fight with Hungry Ball because it has no weapon and the drivetrain is tuned down to only 60% otherwise it destroys itself. So it's it's got some push behind it, but it's so hard to try and get under these forks. I've noticed the back wheels of Hungry B. They might have been using the same wheels all weekend. They're starting to wear thin on those back two.
Yeah, they've been like that for quite a while to be honest. But if it's still working, why fix it?
>> Yeah, I absolutely, you know, why fix something that's not broken? And uh well, John just trying to line up.
>> That's no gas from Ripper eight. If Ripper gets flipped over now, then they can win the fight. Oh my word.
>> Nearly nearly got an own goal there from our arena flipper. And uh well of course a reminder that of course Wolfpack go on three points along with Quake and Inferno and Hungry Ball representing Inferno is trying to lead this LEAD THIS SHOW NOW.

Well, Ollie, this weekend you've stepped in as captain for Team Inferno and took an amazing win there with the Hungry Bore robot. How did it feel to drive such a fantastic machine?
>> No, it's always fun driving the Hungry Ball. It's got four big wheels, so it's got lots of power. So, the the aim of Hungry Ball is you get them and you push them to a wall. So, in that fight, I was like, I saw Ripper had no gas and I thought, I need to get it on that flipper. Got it on the flipper, it flipped over and ran out of gas. So, I won by knockout.
>> Tactical, Ollie. I like it. And who are you up against? Right, let's just let them all know. It is Father's Day.
>> My own dad and I beat him again.
>> He's on to a winner this one this weekend. But what you fueled by? We've got the Hungry Ball robot. But what have you been munching on all weekend?

We've had, like I say, we've had a few reliability issues and we think we've had a bit of bad luck as well because that that plays into it because uh so often you uh you've got the right robot, the right driver in the right arena at the right time and you still can't get it still can't get the win, you know. It's just, you know, sometimes sometimes it's you you know, you just get the the football goes through the goalie's legs, you know. I mean, it's just one of them things.

So, just having a backstage debrief about all that went on in that fight.

It was absolute carnage. We're on fourth show and it is all about that endurance, isn't it? Who can come out strongest.
>> So, loading in for that fight, one of the Wolfpack's robots broke down. Uh, we had a spare robot with Tectonic. It was ready to go, so we offered to put it in as a tag team and it won. It felt a bit weird winning for Wolfpack. I'm not sure it settled. It doesn't sit very well with me, but Tectonic worked brilliantly, so I'm quite happy with that.
>> I mean, could this potentially be a new partnership? Is this something we should be looking out for?
>> Maybe the Quaking Wolves next time. I don't know. I think Yeah, maybe a super team coming up.

I was loving how well team Divinity were doing. I was really enjoying, you know, that different win. However, I'd like seeing Ollie step up as captain. That's been a really good thing to watch.

>> Yeah. And and like we were saying earlier, Jamie, it's all about that rise of the new young blood. Like there's new ones on the way, which is is great to see.

I think I think as well, you know, to have a new captain in, even if it's just temporary, it's great to see, you know, a bit of leadership skills picked up as well for someone like Collier at his age, it's absolutely fantastic. So, we got some more robots going into the arena. Well, we talk about the Antweight World Cup earlier.
My robot Zinedine Zadan lost his head, so he couldn't headbutt anyone at the end. It was it was I was I was terrible.

Find it. got to find it somewhere in my head. Maybe not now. It's been a been a long weekend. But of course, as I say, tag team when we look at the points at the moment. It is Inferno and Wolfpack level on six points. So, this is actually a funny one because Quake or Divinity are the only ones left to fight before the Gladiator. And that is uh Quake versus Divinity with Quake, Cav Manta, and Fubar, a new robot, and the Fifon and Raphael with team Divinity.
Uh, of course, Craig was with us just before. He will hopefully come back for that last fight because he has had to go and check that Raphael is okay. We don't see it there on the loading bay. Uh, Gabriel's there to the right who I think's taking part in the Gladiator fight. That's the nominated robot, but uh I think Raphael might just be inside the arena. Uh, which of course is a flipper from Craig's collection. And uh, it's >> new one from Craig, wasn't it? When he brought Rafael, he always said, "I'm never going to do a flipper." And and here it is. >> But we just we've just seen Gabriel's obviously already in there ready for the Gladiator battle. So, I take it that one should be okay.
>> Oh, I hope so. [laughter] >> It's too much work to fail this many times. You know what I mean?
>> Absolutely. Uh, of course, uh, Toby, is it Toby or Henry that'll be in charge of that one? Cuz Henry's really enjoyed having Gabriel.
>> Yeah, I'm not sure if it's going to be Toby or Henry. I mean, Henry drove Saint one time and uh Sarah drove Saint one time. Both times he got flipped out of the arena. So, you know, I mean, there's only so much you can do no matter how good a driver you are, you know.
>> Absolutely. You're absolutely right. And it just shows that, you know, it's not just the robot that is built, it's also who is in control of it. And I've even have to go with ant weights and that is not easy. It's I'm trying to still get used to just getting it in the right direction, not even using the weapon as well.
One of my claims to fame is there was actually a league table of all the heavyweight robots in the world >> and Saint was lost.
>> I think I might remember that as well.
But we love Saint. We do love St. I said it's Father's Day, you know. You know, it's like it's like it's Gabriel's son, you know, the smaller version of Gabriel. And of course, Father's Day for everyone and a Father's Day for Craig as well. So, I hope you're all enjoying your day with your dads out there. Uh this is of course the last tag team battle. Three points on offer. Divinity will have to go on their own here with the fire. It would look like unless they found a replacement.

Uh, so that is three points, which puts it level with Inferno. So, they're level with Wolfpack as well. So, Team Divinity didn't get any wins. If we can see the leaderboard.
I don't think I can't remember the last time this even happened where three of them are top three joint going into a gladiator battle. I have no idea. I can't hear Chris Wilkins over me into what's going to happen. Could it be that all three of them go into the last battle? I have no idea. Or could it be that Divinity don't get involved? I'm not quite sure. Let's listen to Chris.
>> Final fight. We're so continental here.
>> We really are. We absolutely are. We do obviously have robots coming over from Europe and we always love to see them, but that robot was from up the road.
>> Fantastic. Let's go backstage with >> quite sure. We were trying to listen to Chris, but let's go and find out.
>> What's going on with Ellie?
>> Absolutely loving it. Will, what a weekend for team Quake. It's just been unbelievable. You're in your home venue of Guilford and that home support is clearly paying off for you.
>> For once, it seems to be working.
Normally we come to this one as a local one and we're normally rubbish but this time this year everything's working great. New tag team partner with Enzo and Fubar which has been working really well. 3-0 now for this tag team. So we're really pleased with that.
>> Yeah Enzo I mean you've been learning from the best. Will is your former teacher isn't he? Talk to me about the journey into robot combat.
>> Yeah so I started as a student about three or four years ago now and then I left school last year came back as a technician for a year and yeah decided to build my own heavyweight. And what gave you the idea for such a robot?
>> Well, sort of copied uh Poseidon and Tectonic in their sort of design there.
And so, yeah, basically copied Will.
>> Love that. Well, it's certainly a great robot to copy Will, but look, this year 2026, you've seen so many different changes to your robot, some of which haven't paid off in the best way. Talk us through that process.
>> There's a lot of trial and error, and to be able to win these shows, you've got to be able to adapt and evolve. And for us, the big addition this year has been the forks. So, Poseidon's been working really well. We tried some on Tectonic SA, it didn't really work. So, back to the drawing board, but it's that sort of constant cycle of improvement and testing, and that's why everything's starting to come together for us this late, Tom.
>> Yeah. And I mean, last year it was all about the brushless motor. This year is about the fancy forks. Looking ahead to the future, what do you think 2027 might bring?
>> I think more of these forks. I think by the sound of things, they're going to get longer and longer, but I think that might bring some disadvantages. So, it's whatever someone can come up with is really clever. So, whatever's going to be new, it's going to be really clever.
something no one's going to expect.
Hopefully, we'll be the ones to come up with it.
>> I like it. All I'm going to say is he who dares wins. Enzo, any ideas what you going to come up with?
>> Not sure yet. I should think I should put some forks on food bar now.
>> Well, watch this space XR army. But for now, let's celebrate your winners. Make some noise. Stamp your feet. Make that ground shake. Give it up for team Quake.
>> There we go. Slow Quake this time. I'm falling. Oh, my chair nearly went as well. Uh but that that of course is our last tag team battle and we've got our gladiator fight about to happen. Uh we're just getting the arena uh ready to go. Our crew members of Neil and Mara and Dan Weber are just uh getting robots in and out of the arena. There you go.
There we can see there's Neil.
He is uh he's he's he's been getting involved as a as a robot, you could say, uh with the legendary Robot Wars robot that never wins any fights. And that is uh indestructibible, which is a it's quite a long one to say. It's not an easy one to get off the tong. And there it is. You can see they're now pushing Thunderchild out after it went out the arena. They are heavy robots. Um it was hard to get Hungry Ball onto the loading bay with Ollie uh earlier. Um, so hopefully Gabriel, there you can see Gabriel in the distance.
Hopefully he'll be ready to go in just a moment for the Gladiator battle. Let's see if there's any messages on the live chat page. So, uh, Stuart asking, "What? How did Quake win?" You know, the judges mate, some some could say it was rigged. Uh, Cheeky Denny saying, "Jamie, I have Gabriel's wheel with me." Uh uh and thank you for the wonderful show earlier. Thank you, Denny. Is Gabriel going to come in? It looks like it's loading in. Troublemaker of course coming in shortly representing team inferno. So Viper originally was supposed to go in there, but it will instead now be troublemaker in an attempt to win a second show of the weekend.
So remind of the show wins so far this season. Inferno have won three shows.
Quake with two. Divinity co-leading with Inferno with three show wins. And Wolfpock, Wolfpock, what am I saying?
Wolfpack with one show win. And Wolfpack, Wolfpack is uh well has struggled uh this season, but they were able to get a win uh earlier which they'll be absolutely chuffed about to be in contention. Ellie is back with us.
Ella again, how are you >> Jamie? I'm good. I'm loving these interviews. I'm just going to pop that up here with Will from Team Quake because when you're at your home, like I mentioned previously, you know, performing, playing, fighting on home turf, you've got that crowd support. But last year, Will brought a great team of young lads along with him. I don't know if you remember, they were all the way from his school, >> like a little academy.
>> Yeah. And then seeing Enzo go from a stage like that to then coming out and having his own robot getting through Fight Club. That's where your special moments happen, isn't it, Jamie?
>> And I think this is the thing. You know, future generations are so important because we have a lot of people backstage who've been doing Extreme Robots for so many years, but at some point, you know, future generations to keep it going is what's so crucial, just like in any sport really. Yeah, all about inspiring that next generation.
And I think >> the thing is now, you know, like we've got the legends like Craig and I suppose we could say John, you know, >> even Michael, you know, even with eruption, >> Michael. Yeah. He's been in it since like day dot and then you've got like Ollie, John's son, who's been watching that journey for John. So then >> John must be unbelievably proud, Jamie.
You know, to see his son up there beating him. I mean, what an achievement. Surely that's what he must want.
>> And I know that Ollie is John's retirement plan. you know, at some point to go. It's all yours now, mate. I'm off to Barb Barbados. Uh, but anyway, here we go then. Final battle gladiator fight involving, of course, Divinity Quake.
Actually, I'm not sure who got in at the end. We'll just find out. Team Inferno.
So, we've actually got it where it would seem, well, Quaker's in there as well.
That's very confusing. It looks as though Wolfpack will go in last as there's no Ripper in there. And oh my word. and Poseidon as I used to call him Posidon which was quite a different name back then but as we see now Troublemaker Charlie would love to get a win here.
>> Yeah and I mean you can see the impact there on Poseidon torque getting right under troublemaker there that that's really coming at it with some power but as always Gabriel's whacking in those hits full of aggression.
>> Absolutely. And uh well oh even I felt that one from here right on its nose. That was a nasty whack.
>> And you can see the debris and the metal flying off. I mean, the speed that these robots can power and axe that they throw at it is just crazy. Jamie, >> I do love it though when Gabriel's sword hits the floor or a robot. And you see the spark come out of it if you get the right angle.
>> The ricochet of the arena. You can see the arena from where we're sat on the live stream literally shaking with Gabriel's impact. I mean, my favorite thing when Gabriel is in the arena, you watch the crew behind. Everyone in the arena takes a big step back, XR. I mean, it's like, wait, Gabriel's in. Let's take a breather.
>> It's the coolest greenhouse I've ever seen. And well, Gabriel now trying to get in between the two robots, which could help with the advantage. And there might have been a different different person. It might have been Toby. It might have been Henry taking charge of Gabriel here. They do like to change it up a bit here and there. Oh, and Troublemaker, it might JUST GO OUT THE ARENA. OH, [screaming] >> what a shocking result there, Jamie, for Troublemaker. I know Charlie's going to be devastated after such a strong weekend to finish in that way.
>> You're absolutely right. You don't want to end it like that. But sadly, Charlie will have to go again in Newcastle in a few weeks time. So, who's going to be the winner between Gabriel and Poseidon?
I don't know. Ellie, do you have any clue whatsoever?
>> I don't know. I do think Poseidon did go with a cleaner approach.
>> Yeah, >> I do. I think that cleaner approach from Poseidon from Team Quake.
>> Yeah, I thought so. Team >> Quake Quake have got in it. So, and it's all there's a quake going on again from the fans. The crowd have been brilliant as always here at Guilford this weekend.

So for John, this should be he should be the favorite, and he's already showing it there with some of these flips. It's looking really good for team Wolfpack.
>> Still a minute and 20 to go, though.
>> I mean, it sure is. Wolfpack have struggled getting those points on the leaderboard this weekend, but if they could take that Gladiator win, Jamie.
Yeah, >> I mean that would just be epic.
>> Wow, all ripper now. I tell you what, Poseidon I think might be trying to come back in the second half of the fight.
Here they go. They're just slowly approaching each other trying to see who will go first. Oh, missed the flip. And that has Poseidon trying to go through that gap and fight it when it's vulnerable.
>> I mean, you can see the damage on these robots, Jamie. Look at those gashes.
Like a shark attack in there.
>> We got Kitty saying hi Ellie.
>> Oh, hey Kitty. Hope you're loving it all. What else we got? Dear Woo for Wolf Pack. You ready? 3 2 1. We're going to >> I can't do it. I can't My voice is gone.

>> What I do love about Tectonic and all of World's Robots, they also have that futuristic feel about them. You know, Wolfpack, they're quite rustic, aren't they? Rough and ready.
