The Supreme Court of the Philippines denied Senator Bato dela Rosa's request for temporary legal protection against an International Criminal Court arrest warrant, ruling 9-5-1 that the petition for interim relief against ICC arrest warrant implementation should be denied because the main legal issues have not yet been resolved in the primary case, which relates to the ICC warrant issued against him for alleged war crimes during the Duterte administration's war on drugs.

No TRO: Bato dela Rosa bid for protection vs ICC arrest denied | INQTodayAjouté :
The Supreme Court denies Senator Bato dela Rosa's request for temporary legal protection against a possible arrest by the International Criminal Court.
In a statement on Wednesday, May 20, Supreme Court says that the petition for a temporary restraining order and status quo ante order filed by dela Rosa was denied in a 9-5-1 vote. The High Court says the ruling only covers dela Rosa's request for interim relief against the implementation of the ICC warrants of arrest. It adds that the main issues raised by the parties in their petition have yet to be resolved in the main case. Dela Rosa's petition stemmed from the ICC arrest warrant issued against him in connection with the Duterte administration's war on drugs.
