[00:00:00]Calgary's flood war just entered day four and the Bow River hasn't even peaked yet. The June monsoon is in full effect. A low-pressure system is pulling all the moisture into Alberta and it's been quote cats and dogs across the province. Environment Canada's yellow rainfall advisory for Calgary is still active with some relief not expected until Wednesday morning. Now, here's how wild this variation is across the city.

[00:00:26]27.8 mm at the airport over the last 48 hours. 42 mm near Springbank and just south of Calgary near Stahleli, about 100 mm. On top of that, wind gusts hitting 80 km/h in Calgary over the last 24 hours. Bow River's safe threshold is 280 cubic meters per second. It's currently running at 360 and Calgary's fire says it is expected to peak at over 400 tomorrow.

[00:01:01]Their message is clear. It's not safe to be on the Bow or the Elbow River, period. Don't drive through flooded roads, watch for arcing power lines and falling trees. And if you are a homeowner, make sure your downspouts are channeling water away from the foundation. The Bow River peaks Tuesday evening, Wednesday brings relief, but we are not there yet.
