High-performance drag racing vehicles with extreme power outputs (3,000+ horsepower) require meticulous tuning of multiple interconnected systems including transmission lock-up mechanisms, fuel delivery, and ignition timing, where even small adjustments to settings like dome sensors, spark plug gaps, and turbo dump valves can significantly impact performance and reliability.

30,000 horsepower coyote is right there.
We're playing with it today. We're at Darlington Dragway. This is going to be fun. Check it out. Comment, like, and subscribe.
All right, guys. Well, it's been a minute uh since y'all seen Donald's car. Been a few weeks. And so we're out here at Darlington Dragway and we are racing, testing. We're at Carolina No Time Darlington Dragway. It's up on the lift now. Let me show you what's going on with it. Uh if you notice, if you remember, if you didn't see it, uh 3000 horsepower twin turbo. Uh we were at Rockingham with it a few weeks ago and we had some issues and so uh now uh it is back. So, what had happened was last time we were at the track, we ended up spinning pretty violently. Couldn't do a burnout and then it was a disaster.
Donald, what all have you done? What What's the changes that you made?
>> New transmission, new converter.
>> Hope for this going to work.
>> So, we were having transmission issues and we were I mean the lock up and the soft lock up and nothing was really working like it was supposed to. So, Galaxy uh that TKM Adams got it. Uh this is the transmission and torque converter out of that Galaxy. Now the Galaxy went really fast. Um so uh it should be working better. Uh now it say Mark Mickey as well. Same stuff, but somebody local rebuilt his stuff, didn't they?
>> Yeah, somebody local went through it and done some check different stuff to it, >> right? So Donald I mean his is over there on the ground somewhere.
>> Um and I mean the tr the the torque converter clutches were burned up in it.
>> They were gone. the the lock >> the lockup converter clutches and is anytime you have a a wiring person wire stuff they all do it a little bit different so all the uh connectors are different so Adam's uh guy that works with Adam is a wiring guy so he is on the way and so he is about to wire all this back in uh basically we don't want to cut up Austin's wiring harness we don't want to cut up the wiring harness that's on the transmission so he's going to make an adapter to adapt him uh together. So that's what he's on the way to do that now. Uh so hopefully we'll be good. Uh with the clutches being burned up, I don't know if y'all remember last time. I don't know if I really showed it. Um we couldn't even hardly do a dog on burnout. It was it was crazy. Um I don't know where the converter is. Is the converter in here too, Donald?
>> No, it was in the shop.
>> Oh, he left it at the shop.
>> But um man, I can smell burnt fluid in here.
>> I can smell it.
>> All of them were gone. Okay. So yeah.
So, also out here today, Chris Moore come to Darlington. Chris, what have you been up to?
>> Rebuild.
>> Rebuild time. Yeah. What else been going on? What you up to?
>> Bye-bye E85.
>> Yes. Thank God.
>> Bye-bye Atari.
>> Thank God. Yes.
He took fast off of it. Went from fast efi E85 with a airto-air intercooler. And now you have >> M1 and Teimu Holly >> and Holly Holly HP. And so he wired it all up himself. Got you. Ready to take the hood off of it? Let's see. You also you changed turbos too, didn't you? Is that same turbos? Oh man, that thing is heavy.
Woo. That looks much better without the dog on That looks a lot better without the the big intercooler on it. How much nose weight did it lose? That had to been a little bit. I don't know the nose weight, but the total scale we lost 175 lbs.
>> 175 lbs. Wow. That's >> battery went to a lightweight battery also.
>> Now, is that where the turbos were before?
>> Yep. Same.
>> Oh, they were Okay, man. They are low, ain't they? I didn't I didn't realize they were that low down in there. Um, so remember last time he was having issues uh with mainly the E85, right? The E85 was bad.
>> And so, but now he's got it better. Uh, had to put a Did you put one piston in it? They messed one piston up or a cracked cylinder. Cracked cylinder or something.
>> A piston.
>> Yeah. So, I had an issue with that. So, um, >> you up. Man, this looks good. This looks really nice. Got the billet atomizer.
What? 550s.
>> 550s.
>> So, twin turbo still down there. That is such a Is that like a touch? That's such a tiny pipe.
>> It's like a baby though.
Jared wanted to do the threes, but um Wade from Race Park sent us the collector for the four to two and a half. So that's what we just kind of went with, >> which it'll be fine. I mean that that'll be fine for sure. Man, that is nice right there.
>> Woo. That is billet. He got some billet up in here now. So I do not see coil on plug. So, what's the deal with the >> We're at 60s with uh with the 6, high 60s at Rockingham. So, I'm going to see if we can go 50s with a 6 for all the budget racers out there. So, the 6 does nothing does nothing but provide spark.
>> So, it is now that there is a Where's the 6?
>> Behind the open the glove box.
>> I don't even know how to open that.
>> Push the button. Push that little button.
What? Look. Are you kidding me right now? Like a real 6.
Wow, that looks good, Chris. Good job on this thing. So, we'll see how fast it can go. I mean, methanol is clearly harder to light than E85. The volume shrink the spark plug gap down. Spark plug is gapped down to >> 14.
>> 14. Uh, which he's not trying to make a bunch of boost either. So, not trying to make a bunch of boost. So, let's see.
Let's see what happens. Uh he just I mean he spooled it up, took it to Rico last week and >> the fastest to the 60 that we've ever been with this car.
>> That's freaking killer.
>> So I'm I'm excited. It gets up uh it gets up on the chip in about 3 and 1/2 seconds.
>> Man, that's awesome.
>> That is That's pretty impressive. Well, let's we'll crank it up, get it warmed up, and we will see what happens here.
This thing is a really cool car. Uh really really different. I mean, you don't see a lot of old ones. Uh Brian's got a old one. You definitely ain't going to see one boosted with a 6A box. Um now, at some point that 6A box is going to start misfiring and it ain't going >> We're going to we're going to test the limits.
>> We'll see how far it goes.
>> That way the the world kind of gives an idea of what you can do with a 6 box, right?
>> Get in the get in the comments. Anybody been in the comments? Get in there. How fast have y'all been with a 6 box? uh differentiate between boost and nitrous.
Uh cuz there's probably a little bit of a difference. So uh yeah, let's go, baby. That thing's got a key in it.
>> Yep. Don't work without the key.
>> Wow.
>> I had to keep the saltwater off, right?
Heat.
Heat.
All right, guys. Well, they are here now working on the plugs. Figured out what extensions they need to make. This is over my This is over my pay grade. I can't do this stuff. This right here. Uh but they don't want to cut this harness up off the body. They don't want to cut the harness up off the transmission, which makes sense. So, they're going to uh make the extension harness and it'll plug right up. And then and then we'll be ready to to mess with this one.
Okay, guys. So, what's been happening here is why we've got 80 bazillion two-step checks is Chris just converted it all back over to Holly. And so, we're putting some twostep uh things in it to make it spool faster. It is spooling fast, but I I basically do a rev limiter offset, but I clicked the wrong freaking button. Go figure. So, now uh we've been playing with the bump a little bit. A little bit less aggressive there. So, he's fixing to go up now and make a pass. So, get in the comments. Let us know. Is it going to go good or bad? or you going to make a full pass or just half you make a like half track maybe if it feels good. So, we'll see what happens here. Um I don't know if we're going to be sharing times with it or not on this video, but soon if we get a full pass, we're going to see if we got the record for that 6 box. Um well, if y'all get in the comments, let us know what the record is. 6. I don't know what it is. Honestly, I have no idea.
>> I think we're pretty close.
>> Yeah, we're probably pretty close. We're probably close. I would think so. So, we'll find out in a minute. Hang on.
Hey, Heat. Heat.
Don't forget to turn the GoPro on the top.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
All right, guys. Well, Chris is we're having problems with the dome sensor, but man, look at that sunset. It is freaking It is nice out here. It is actually a little bit cool. Uh they're almost done with the wiring over here on Donald's. So, we're fixing to try to pin out Chris's and see if we can figure out what's going on. The sun has now set.
Got Carl over here and Chris. Uh, so this thing was kicking our tail. So the dome sensor was not working. Like it was not working. So let me show you real fast. Um, and so yeah. Uh, so you go in here to dome control setup. And right there, see how that says dome sensor? Now it says dome sensor. Trust me, you can't see it, but why can't you see it? There it is. Dome sensor. It would not populate. And so in the pin map, so he had it pinned out, right? We were chasing like sensors and everything. Uh it was pinned out correctly, but for some reason in this input right there, it was on input number two. Even though it was correct on the ECU pin, it wouldn't show up. That makes no sense, Carl.
>> None. So yeah. So it's working now.
>> We spent a good hour.
>> Two hours.
>> 2 hours. But but on a positive note, last time we were out here with mine, the ranger, if anybody remembers, we spent five hours at Galot and did absolutely nothing.
>> Same same stuff. Troubleshoot.
>> Troubleshoot.
>> And it was a that was a something stupid.
>> It was Yeah, it >> was a spark plug wire issue.
>> Spark plug wire issue.
>> So, same thing. I mean, it's it's crazy.
I mean, it's just wild. And they are almost done with the wiring on on the transmission now. So, we're going to go down there in a minute. That's why you test the tune.
>> That's right. So, yeah. Wow. Kind of frustrating though, right?
>> You're good on this side.
>> Good on my side.
>> Hey, fly that eight towards you.
>> God, that thing barely fits.
>> You're good on this side.
behind it. Just keep straight.
>> All right. So, if y'all did not see it, this is before Hart's turbo 88s Coyote engine. It's priming the oil pump now. A really nice piece. So, all the transmission stuff is done. So, we're going to get Kevin down here and take a look at all the tuneup stuff and make sure everything is good there. uh how it's working. Uh so we should be good.
Here we go. We're going to be making a pass in a minute.
>> Yep.
Heat up Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
record.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat. Heat.
All right, guys. Well, spool test. Uh was a little slow spooling up. Uh but one of the dump valves was not on. Uh these settings, man. And I got I got to get Kevin I got to get Kevin to look at the the locks. The way this converter this is a Virginia speed. Uh it's a Mark Migi but Virginia Speed is uh tweaked it for their specs.
So uh the way they do it the hard lock and soft lock have to be on at the same time in order for it to be in soft lock.
And then in order to get hard lock then the soft lock turns off. But I'm having a hard time uh figuring out how to do that uh in the Holly. Uh Chris just went up there and spun. We need to pull his data log, but we got to take Kevin the ECU real fast.
>> Yeah, pull that drop cord over.
floor.
They going to go left or right.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Well guys, that's going to wrap it up for tonight. A kind of frustrating night, but we're at the track testing.
Uh Donald's car on that pass. Let go to trans brake button. It lost auto boost.
I did have a timing on it uh for launch but maybe it didn't need that, but it felt like something else was off. So, that's it for tonight.
Friday night, we'll be back to the track in the morning and we're going to try to get this thing up and going so we can figure out how to go fast. Comment, like, and subscribe. I appreciate it, guys. Thanks.
