>> Good morning everyone present here with immense joy, gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. I warmly welcome you all to the international conference on mathematics and its application in artificial intelligence and modeling ICM aim 2026 organized by the department of mathematics clesian college autonomous ciri in collaboration with university of technology and applied sciences china sultanat of Today as I stand before this gathering of brilliant minds, eminent professors, distinguished keynote speakers, researchers, scholars, students and participants from different institutions and reasons. I feel that this conference is much more than an academic event. It is a meeting of curiosity, a medium of ideas and above all a meeting of people who believe that mathematics is not merely a subject confined to blackboard's attituations but a language through which we understand the world.
This year ICM aim 2026 has received an overwhelming academic response. We are delighted to host more than 110 presenters and over 20 additional participants from various institutions and regions. What makes this gathering even more special is that the conference is being conducted in a hybrid mode. We are fortunate to have more than 20 participants physically present here with us at Salation College while many others are joining us online from different parts of India and abroad. In many ways, this beautifully reflects the spirit of modern academia where knowledge transcends geography and collaboration is no longer limited by distance. We live in a very fascinating era.
An era where artificial intelligence writes poetry, predicts diseases, drives vehicles, analyzes climate patterns, and even assist scientific discovery. Yet behind every algorithm, every model, every intelligent system, there is mathematics. Silent, elegant, and powerful. Mathematics is the invisible architecture of modern civilization.
Sometimes I feel mathematics is very much like light. We often notice the objects illuminated by it like technology, innovation, machines and data but we forget to see the light itself. This conference reminds us to look at that light.
Over the next three days, ICF AIM 2026 will bring together discussions ranging from geometry, graph theory, algebra, topology and differential equations to machine learning, modeling, optimization, fuzy systems, medical applications and artificial intelligence. What makes this truly special is the diversity of thought represented here. Pure mathematics and applied mathematics are not standing apart here. They are in conversation with one another. And perhaps that is the spirit of this conference.
Connection. Connection between theory and application. Connection between experienced scholars and young researchers. Connection between institutions, countries and disciplines.
And most importantly, connections between human minds. driven by curiosity.
As the convenor, I can honestly say that organizing this conference has not has been a journey filled with excitement, challenges, teamwork, sleepless nights, endless emails, revisions, coordinations, and hope. But today, seeing you all gathered here makes every effort worthwhile.
I would especially like to welcome and express our deepest gratitude to our distinguished keynote speakers and guests whose presence add tremendous value and inspiration to this college.
Your scholarship and contribution continue to guide young researchers like us towards deeper inquiry and meaningful research. To the research scholars and students present here, I want to say something from the heart. Do not underestimate your questions. Many great discoveries in mathematics began not with answers but with someone courageously asking why and what if.
Conferences like this are not only places to present polished results. They are spaces where ideas begin, collaborations emerge, confidence grows and future quality takes shape. I hope each one of you leaves this conference not only with certificates but with new perspective, new friendships and with renewed inspiration. I also take this opportunity to sincerely thank our patron chief patron or organizing committee members, faculties, student volunteers, collaborators, technical teams and every individual possible who tirelessly worked behind the scenes to make ICM aim 2026 possible. A conference of success not is not because of one person but because many quietly chose to dedicate over convenience.
At Salation College we believe education is not simply about information. It is about transformation and I believe mathematics when pursued with imagination and integrity transforms the way we think reason and contribute to the society. So let us participate wholeheartedly. So let us listen deeply.
Let us question fearlessly and let us celebrate the beauty of mathematics together. Once again I warmly welcome you all to ICM AIM 2026 and I wish each one of you a truly enriching and memorable conference ahead. Thank you.
Thank you so much ma'am for your beautiful thoughts. May I now respectfully invite father Dr. Babu Joseph principal solution college and chief patron of mine 2026 to deliver the opening remarks and formally elaborate the academic spirit of this international conference.
A very good morning to everyone.
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome the distinguished academicians, researchers, scholars and students to the international conference on mathematics and its application in artificial intelligence and modeling jointly organized by solician college and the university of technology and applied sciences China's certain of Oman where the conference will be held. Oh, Father Tommy, please.
Thank you father and sir. I now humbly request our esteemed chief guest professor Viv Chande to kindly address the gathering and share his valuable thoughts and insights with us.
At first I convey my at first I convey my thanks to the organizing committee to invite me in this conference.
I feel honored to address this august assembly of mathematics mathematicians from different parts of India and share with you some of my thoughts and feelings on this occasion.
The world described by mathematics is indeed an abstract world made up of ideas and that can only be perceived through the mind's eyes. Mathematics like Roman god Jenners has two faces.
One is turned inward towards the human world of ideas and assumptions while the other looks outward at the physical worlds of objects and material things.
The first face represents the purity of mathematics where the attention is unselfishly focused on the disciplines creations seeking to know and understand them for what they are. The second phase constitutes the applied side of mathematics where the motions are inter interstate and the aim is to use those same creations for what they can do. The application of mathematics have been a prominent characteristic of its history from Egyptian and Babylonian times to the industrial revolution and every branch of classical mathematics was at the onset stimulated by practical problems, arithmetic by accounting problems, geometric by agriculture problems and mathematical analysis by problems In physics, many new branches of 20th century mathematics were born precisely as a consequence of eternal solicitation for the purpose of solving problems arising from real world. Some of the motivation come from wellestablished scientific domains such as physics which inspired if not the certainly the growth of tensor calculus functional analysis and north theory all essential tools in general theory of relativity quantum mechanics and string theory. Other motivations originated instead from domains that become scientific not until the 20th century precisely when the discovery of suitable mathematical tools allowed experts to treat and solve some of their fundamental problems. Typical examples are economics and biology. Game theory, general equilibrium theory and optimization while created to solve problems in the first step. While problems in biology long considered inaccessible can can today be tackled using no theory.
Algebra and the theory of numbers have found a new application in cryptographic an emerging subject. The advent of third fourth and higher generations of computers has offered another big window on the unknown mathematical universe.
Computers have been useful in verifying conjectures in number theory and algebra of a large range of numbers. They have also been useful in simulation of nonlinear problems. To mention some recent works, studies have been made in theoretical schismology, tsunamis and age waves. The variation of monsoon rain distribution has been predicted by the world monsoon body.
Further studies of combination of ocean currents and wind grows are more intensively required. Prediction of earthquakes still remains a tricky question requiring positive answers.
Scientific research has extended its reach to the vastness of the cosmos as well as the infinite decimal small domain of the particles making direct sensorial perceptions of galaxies and atoms impossible or possible only indirectly through technological means and thus reducing them in effect to mathematically represent presentations.
Likewise, modern mathematics has also extended its domain of inquiry to the rare field abstractions of structures and the meticulous analysis of the foundations healing itself completely from any possible visualization.
According to Felix Klein, the study of the properties of the geometric figure such as plane, space, etc. which are invariant by a fixed group of transformation G is called the G geometry of that figure. It is well known since Gilbert's work on the foundation of geometry at the end of 19th century that linear algebra can be deduced from Uklidian geometry. The geometry can be used as the starting point in the construction of the real end dimensional vector space. The gain in geometric thinking is more important than the temporary loss of rigor in foundation. According to famous mathematician s if algebra and analysis are the foundation of mathematics then geometry is at the core. Nowadays mathematical modeling is taking place to solve some problems of biosciences such as prevention of spreading of AIDS, virus, unusual growth and cell division in the issue of a tissue of a human body etc. Let me briefly reflect on a broad idea.
The role of mathematics in artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence may appear to be about message but in reality it is driven by ma mathematics concepts like logic probability and optimization from backbone. Let me give a simple example.
When you unlock your phone using your face, it may look like a simple answer, but behind it, a machine is solving a mathematical problem, measuring patterns, comparing sets, and making decisions based on probabilities.
Without mathematics, such intelligence would not exist. Mathematics gives artificial intelligence clarity and reliability. It ensures that decisions are not random but structured and meaningful. At the same time, artificial intelligence is opening new directions for mathematics. It is pushing us to think directly different differently and solve new kinds of problems. This interaction is both natural and powerful.
Finally, may I add that mathematics is not merely an equipment in the hands of the scientist. It is a philosophy, a way of life. Let the world of mathematics proper. Let the deliverance of this conference be meaningful and helpful in reaching right conclusion. I wish the conference a success. Thank you all.
