For that accident, the owners of the company had been convicted in the first instance of manslaughter. The verdict has been appealed. In the civil proceedings, in addition to the wife and family members from Alta Padovana, Judge Roberto Beghini also recognized the right to compensation for a Moldovan woman, resident in Schio, represented by lawyers Michele Grigenti and Nuccia Figatti, who had been in a relationship with the victim since 2013. From the stable relationship, the baby girl was also born. According to the court, the man thus actively participated in family life, spent long periods with the woman, and contributed financially to the support of his daughter and therefore of the parallel family. Elements that demonstrated the existence of a stable and continuous emotional relationship. Thus, the daughter from her second marriage was awarded €310,000 for parental damages, while her lover was awarded €80,000.
