I think a lot of people again, it was the lesser they felt it was the lesser two evils, but we came up here and said I said I said Elon Musk is not who he come you know, claims to be. Trump is not these people are not going to save you. Like we always say, it's it's it's two birds or it's two you know, on the same coin, right? They're a part of the same infrastructure. Their goal is the same.

Just not Cuba power out. They talking about Cuba's next. So, we going to have another enemy which ain't done doing [ __ ] to us. They just keep telling y'all these people is out to get Man, I never even met nobody from Iran. [ __ ] is you talking about?

That's where where American citizens citizen taxpayer dollars are going to if we're being honest. It's not going towards the roads. It's not going towards uh cheaper food prices. He's not changing anything besides us being more of a superpower and even that is starting to backfire cuz I don't know if y'all just seen him talking about he wants to exit out of NATO. He don't want to be in NATO.

[00:04:05]Because you can't be mad enough at this war. It's cost between 25 and 50 billion dollars so far and the war started on February 28th. That's just over two months. Bernie Sanders' entire college for free for everyone would have cost 50 billion dollars a year and people screamed and said that's entirely impossible. IN TWO MONTHS OF THIS WAR, WE COULD HAVE PAID FOR THAT PROGRAM for a year, which would have given people A FREE EDUCATION AND KEPT THEM FROM TAKING ON STUDENT DEBT. DO YOU REALIZE IF PEOPLE had no student debt, IF WE USED THIS MONEY TO WIPE OUT STUDENT DEBT, THAT JUST GETTING rid of the INTEREST PAYMENTS WOULD PUMP 132 BILLION DOLLARS INTO THE UNITED STATES ECONOMY. THAT'S 2% GDP GROWTH JUST BY GETTING 44 MILLION AMERICANS OFF OF THEIR STUDENT DEBT AND NOT HAVING TO PAY THE INTEREST RATES, LET ALONE ALL OF THE DEBT THEY NO LONGER HAVE, WHICH WOULD ALLOW THEM TO BUY, SPEND, GROW, INITIATE, BECOME ENTREPRENEURS. WE ARE SHACKLED BY THE DEBT WE HAVE CREATED AND WE HAVE A WAY OUT AND WE'RE NOT USING THAT WAY OUT BECAUSE WE ARE BOMBING CHILDREN AND REGRESSING ON A NUCLEAR treaty program we ALREADY HAD AND CAUSING OIL PRICES TO SPIKE SO AIRLINES ARE FOLDING AND PRICES ARE GOING UP WITH GAS, WITH GOODS, WITH EVERYTHING. WE ARE ALLOWING DONALD TRUMP TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY FOR NOTHING.

[00:06:11]I've been noticing for years that the Trump cult is absolutely obsessed with Barack Obama. So I decided to do some research to try and find out why the MAGA cult is so obsessed with Obama.

[00:06:22]Barack Obama has not been president for 10 years and MAGA can't stop talking about him. They're literally obsessed with the man. They try and blame him for things that are happening today. That's not random. There's a psychological reason for that. Although it seems a little creepy. Here are the four reasons the Trump cult is obsessed with President Obama. One, the psychological wage of whiteness. In 1935, sociologist W.E.B. poor white Americans. White Americans, even the poor ones with no money and no power, felt superior to black Americans.

[00:07:00]Not because they earned it, but because for 250 years the entire system told them they were superior to black people.

[00:07:07]The law said it, the church said it, the culture said it. Du Bois called it the psychological wage of whiteness. This is a status payment people collect just for being white. A floor that white people couldn't fall beneath. Then Barack Obama became president. He occupied the highest status role in the country. That destroyed the floor. And when a status floor breaks, people don't quietly adjust. They backlash. Obama didn't just win an election. He took something they didn't even know they were depending on.

[00:07:39]They didn't earn this special status, but they thought it was stolen when Barack Obama got elected, and they've been trying to take it back ever since.

[00:07:47]Two, social identity threat.

[00:07:50]Psychologist Henry Tajfel at the University of Bristol spent decades studying in-group conflict. What he found was when a member of an out-group outperforms the in-group, the psychological response is not one of admiration, but hostility. Tajfel called this social identity threat. A failed black president would have confirmed the Trump cult's world view. But being polished, competent, scandal-free, and widely respected by world leaders made it impossible to call him incompetent.

[00:08:19]The better Obama performed, the more threatening he became to the cult. Not because of his policies, but because his success directly contradicted everything they believe about the natural order of things. He wasn't supposed to be better.

[00:08:33]He wasn't supposed to be a gentleman and a scholar, and yet he was. That doesn't just go away. When weak, mediocre people see someone they believe was inferior reach the highest office in the country, they don't get inspired. They become filled with rage. They feel lied to, and they need someone to blame for the hate and rage. That target is Obama, everything they could never be. Three, scapegoating. Obama left office in 2017, but his name never left the conversation because Trump spent more than a decade smearing his name. It all started before Trump was even president. Trump spent years pushing the birther conspiracy, claiming Obama wasn't American, wasn't legitimate, wasn't one of us. That wasn't politics. That was a deliberate effort to strip Obama of his humanity and plant him in the minds of millions as the source of everything wrong. Then when Trump took office, the playbook continued. Every problem needed an explanation. Economy struggling? Obama's fault. Crime rate rising? Obama's fault.

[00:09:36]Anything going wrong in the country?

[00:09:38]Obama's fault. Psychologists call this scapegoating. Assign one figure as the source of all your problems and anxiety, which then collapses onto that single target. It feels like clarity to his followers. It feels like understanding.

[00:09:52]It isn't. Trump didn't just keep Obama's name alive. He spent over a decade turning him into the villain of the story. And to the Trump cult members, this story still is true.

[00:10:02]Four, cognitive dissonance. Here's what made the obsession permanent. The MAGA cult couldn't call Obama corrupt. There were no scandals. They couldn't call him incompetent. The record didn't support it. They couldn't even call him unpresidential. He was polished, disciplined, and respected around the world. Psychologist Leon Festinger at Stanford University studied what happens when people are confronted with evidence that contradicts their deeply held beliefs. Weak people don't update their beliefs when confronted with contradicting evidence. They double down on their original beliefs. Festinger called this cognitive dissonance. MAGA was left holding a belief system that Obama's entire existence disproved. And instead of resolving that contradiction by updating their worldview, they resolved it by hating him harder. The obsession isn't just political, it's psychological, and it has nowhere left to go. So it goes out onto everyone else in rage and obsession. Obama is living proof that the psychological wage of whiteness doesn't exist anymore. And to weak people who never earn that status in the first place, it feels like an identity crisis. So they obsess more, say his name more, talk about him obsessively all the time. They even have a name for this now, Obama derangement syndrome. Because Obama didn't just win the presidency, he broke a hierarchy millions of people thought was permanent. And they've been trying to undo that moment ever since. It's all like, "How come you're mad at Trump but not at Obama for the deportation numbers?" cracks me up because that just means that Obama's better.

[00:11:34]Obama did it better, faster, more efficient, with less American lives lost, and less protests. Although there were nationwide ones, if you remember like I do, because I was alive during then. We called him the deporter-in-chief. We, as in Democrats, the ACLU, and the activist groups, because we didn't like the policies either. [snorts] And do you know what the Republicans did? They called us uh morons and said that we ate our own, and we didn't just get in line, and there was no united front to us Democrats, and so haha, weren't we hilarious? We weren't to be taken seriously.

[00:12:01]Mr. uh Marco Rubio and Mr. Lindsey Graham were up there all the time talking about executive overreach.

[00:12:06]Look at them now, shining bright as a penny on that Air Force One.

[00:12:12]With zero values and scruples left.

[00:12:16]But I digress. What you're telling me is Obama's better.

[00:12:19]What you're telling me is that none of this [ __ ] in Minneapolis is necessary, because Obama did it better, faster, stronger.

[00:12:25]Trump sucks at his job, and this is just another indication of that.

[00:12:31]Obama did it better.

[00:12:33]The new talking point from MAGA is, "Well, Obama dropped bombs, too."

[00:12:38]Yeah, he did.

[00:12:39]And he did it better.

[00:12:41]Obama was able to use surgical strikes and limited military operations to take out targets and not start a [ __ ] war.

[00:12:49]How about that [ __ ] He did it better.

[00:12:51]In fact, most of the things that the Trumpies like about Trump, Obama did better.

[00:12:58]We'll go with unemployment. Obama did better. Economy, Obama did better.

[00:13:03]Deportations, Obama did better.

[00:13:06]He was able to deport way more people than Donald Trump, and he's able to do it on 1/10 of the freaking budget.

[00:13:13]Yeah? And without sending [ __ ] goon squads into American cities.

[00:13:17]Obama did it better.

[00:13:19]Obama was able to get across a healthcare bill.

[00:13:22]Trump can't. Obama did it better.

[00:13:25]Obama was able to get tax cuts for the low and middle class.

[00:13:29]Trump for the upper class, for the rich.

[00:13:32]Obama did it better.

[00:13:33]So, trying to say that Obama did it, too, on any subject just shows the failure of Trump and the failure of his people to recognize that that everything that Trump said Obama did, Obama did it [ __ ] better.

[00:13:48]They just don't like that a black man did it better than a white man.

[00:13:54]And one last point, let's not forget that Obama was able to get Iran to enter into a non-proliferation treaty for nukes.

[00:14:04]Trump couldn't do it.

[00:14:05]So, Obama did it better.

[00:14:13]I miss the person I was before Donald Trump.

[00:14:16]Some of you are too young to remember a time before, but I remember a time before.

[00:14:24]You would wake up without feelings of dread and rage every day.

[00:14:29]You could walk about the world with with worries, okay? Life was life, but you didn't carry around this impending sense of doom at every moment.

Y'all ever seen the crown You know that moment on one of the first few episodes of season 1 in The Crown after the king dies, and uh Winston Churchill is giving his uh basically like his speech over the There's a part where he talks about growing up in the August summers of Queen Victoria, and I'm just like, you know what? That's how I feel about Obama right now. It was a beautiful time. I was still able to go back and forth from Mexico. Getting a passport was $25. Gas was like $2.50, maybe $3 sometimes. I'll admit gas was expensive. I'm not going to lie, but Lord, everything else wasn't. At that time ramen was less than $0.25. I know I said I wanted to grow up, but but I'm tired of this grandpa, and I know it's too damn bad, but I'm tired. President Obama just slammed Donald Trump for one of the first times since Trump got inaugurated, and every word of what he said here is true. Just take a look. Uh imagine if I had done any of this. Let let let me just I I I just I just want to be clear about this.

[00:16:48]We will punish you economically for dissenting from the Affordable Care Act or the Iran deal.

[00:17:05]We will ferret out students who protest against my policies.

[00:17:19]It's unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me.

[00:17:33]Or a whole bunch of my predecessors.

[00:17:38]So, and I say this I say this not on a partisan basis.

[00:17:48]This has to do with something more precious, which is who are we as a country and what values do we stand for?

[00:17:59]Yeah, can you imagine if President Obama or President Biden did any of the things that Donald Trump is doing right now?

[00:18:06]Republicans would be calling for impeachment on day one. If Obama or Biden targeted our allies and threatened to invade Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Panama, and more, Republicans would be freaking out. If Obama or Biden crashed the stock market to the point that we're in a bear market and losing trillions of dollars every single day, Republicans would be freaking out. But since it's Donald Trump doing it, they're perfectly fine. They think it's part of his master plan. There is such a double standard with today's Republican Party. If Donald Trump does something, even if it hurts Republicans, they're okay with it. Any other politician does that, they freak out. They would lose their minds. Their face would be turning red. Hey Republicans, now you have a reason to keep Obama's name in your mouth because Obama brokered the Iran nuclear deal to stop them from creating nuclear weapons without war.

But I've been getting a lot more comments from MAGA trolls being like, "Obama was so divisive. You don't want to acknowledge the fact that Obama was so divisive."

[00:19:30]I just I think we need to acknowledge that. I think it's time. He wasn't tweeting pictures of himself as Jesus.

[00:23:02]And others are of the opinion that yeah, he has did well uh and he has fulfilled his promises, but also we also checked and we have realized that obviously um people have the opinion that people have a strong argument that obviously President Obama did better than uh President Donald Trump.
