Astronomers have solved the mystery of mysterious red dots observed by the James Webb Telescope by combining its data with Chandra X-ray Observatory archives, revealing that these dots are young supermassive black holes trapped inside thick gas cocoons that were 'binge eating' to grow rapidly in the early universe.

The Mystery of the Tiny Red Dots Finally Solved π΄π #shorts #spaceexploration #spacevrseAdded:
Since its launch, the James Webb Telescope has been haunted by hundreds of little red dots in the early universe. Are they stars or something much darker? Now, astronomers have found a missing link. By combining Webb's view with archival X-ray data from Chandra, they've spotted a rare X-ray dot that's acting like a cosmic Rosetta Stone. It turns out these dots might be black hole stars, young supermassive black holes trapped inside a thick cocoon of gas.
Usually, the cocoon blocks everything, but this one is finally peeking out.
This explains a huge mystery, how black holes grew so fat so fast in the early universe. They were essentially binge eating inside these gaseous shrouds.
We're finally connecting the dots. The early universe was a much more crowded, hungrier place than we ever imagined.
