Say you see by the dawn's early light. What so proudly we held at the twilight last gleaming.
Whose brush stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight or the ramparts we watched were so gallently streaming and the rockets red.
The bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star spangled yet for the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Hallelujah.
As we begin our ceremony, I would like to recognize our special guests. As I call your name, please stand to be recognized.
Principal of Pebble Brook High School, Dr. Dana Guiles.
Our 2025 2026 teacher of the year, Mr. Daniel Reynolds.
Representing the superintendent of the Cobb County School District, who serves as the chief technology and operations officer, Mr. Mark Smith.
from the Cobb County Board of Education representing post 3, Mr. Leroy Trey Hutchkins and representing Cobb County Assistant Superintendent Dr. Bruce Frasier.
I would also like to take a moment to recognize our wonderful faculty and staff. Thank you for helping us along our journey over the last four years.
Good evening, distinguished guests, faculty, families, and friends, and most importantly, the class of 2026.
My name is Callie McInturf, and it has been one of the greatest honors of my high school experience to serve as your student government president.
Standing here tonight welcoming all of you feels like the perfect closing to a chapter of a journey we've taken together. This ceremony marks more than the end of high school. It marks years of effort, growth, and resilience. We didn't get here by accident.
We got here through early mornings, late nights, long practices, tough assignments, and the kind of determination that only shows up when you're surrounded by people who challenge you, support you, and believe in you. Every one of us has pushed through something to sit in these seats tonight.
When I think back on our time together, I'm reminded of the moments that shaped us. The laughter at going through the hallways, the inside jokes that somehow lasted for three four years, and the friendships that formed in the most unexpected places, and the teachers who pushed us not just to learn, but to grow. Being an SGA gave me a unique window into the heart of our class, and I've seen firsthand how much spirit, kindness, and strength lifts in each of you. We faced challenges we never saw coming and celebrated victories that we'll remember for the rest of our lives. We've learned how to adapt, how to lead, h and how to show up for each other and how to keep going even when things felt uncertain. And the best part is we didn't do any of it alone. We did it together as classmates, as a community, and as a family. To the parents, guardians, and loved ones here tonight, thank you for every ride, every every pep talk and every moment of patience.
To our teachers, counselors, and administrators, thank you for guiding us, challenging us, and preparing us for the world we're stepping into. And to my classmates, thank you for filling these years with purpose, joy, and memories that I will carry with me long after tonight.
Class of 2026, this is our moment. We've earned it. And it is my honor to officially welcome you to our graduation.
It is now my pleasure to welcome our saludiatoran, Angel O2, to the podium.
>> Good evening. First, I would like to say congratulations to the graduating class of 2026. Whether you are a falconet, a member of the mighty marching machine, steam, an athlete, or a member of the Cobb County Center for Excellence and Performing Arts, otherwise known as PA.
We are all proud Peel Pebble Brook Falcons. And today is a day for us to celebrate. Throughout our journeys, one lesson we have learned is that while there may be times when we feel unmade, unmotivated, overwhelmed, unsure, or lost, we know that we are not alone.
Pebble Brook High School taught us the meaning of community and love. No matter what obstacles we faced, we did not face them alone. Instead, we had our parents, our friends, our teachers, and all of our loved ones walking this journey with us in support of our dreams. Whether it was for AP Calculus, where we stayed after school and turned our desk into many whiteboards to review FRQs and groups to help each other find the correct answer, or in AP environmental science for Miss Bannerman's class where our group chat reminders became lifesavers to remind us to finish writing up a lab report, or even the late night conversations with our parents to express our stress and our goals for our future. At every turn, we did it together. We leaned on our community and accomplished our goal. We made it to graduation day. As we embark on this journey and we enter this new phase of life, whether it be entering college or university, joining the military, or entering the workforce, one thing we all should remember is that we are not alone. Work with others, communicate your dreams, and lean in on community and love. Again, I want to thank all the parents who have supported us, all the teachers who have guided us, and everyone who has been with us throughout this journey. To the graduating class of 2026, we made it.
It is now my pleasure to welcome our valadictorian, Elia Thorp, to the podium.
Good evening everyone, faculty, staff, family, friends, and of course, the graduating class of 2026. We finally made it. No more assignments to turn in at 11:58 p.m. No more pretending we could only send the Campbell link. No more hearing the phrase, "This grade can make or break your average," and immediately feeling your heart drop.
After four years of deadlines, stress, growth, and trying to figure things out as we went, we're here. Standing here today feels a little surreal because as long as we can remember, we've always been moving towards something. The next grade level, the next semester, the next test, the next milestone, the and now suddenly we've reached one of the biggest transitions of our lives, graduation. But if there's one thing that high school has taught us, it's that life is constantly changing whether we feel ready or not. One of the best examples happened during our sophomore year when the new building was finally finished. Before that, we had spent an entire year navigating construction zones, blocked hallways, and routes to class that changed every other week.
Then suddenly everything looked different. New hallways, new classrooms, new schedules, new traffic patterns. At the time, it seems like the construction zone created small inconveniences. But looking back, I think it represents something much bigger. Because we learned that we didn't really have a choice but to adapt. And that's exactly what life is. Life will always keep changing the route on us. Sometimes the changes are exciting. Sometimes they're uncomfortable. Sometimes they happen gradually, and sometimes they happen all at once. But no matter what, we will constantly be asked to adapt to new versions of ourselves, new environments, and new challenges. An adaptation is not weakness. its growth. There were moments during these four years when things felt uncertain. There were moments when the workload became overwhelming, when motivation was low, and as strange as it sounds, things often seemed to get harder the closer we got to the finish line. But senior year taught us that despite everything, we must keep going.
As a class, we've also experienced moments of tragedy and loss that reminded us of how fragile life can be.
Those moments affected us, all of us deeply, and brought us closer together.
They reminded us to care for one another, support one another, and appreciate the time we have together.
That sense of unity is something I hope we carry with us long after today.
Because while graduation celebrates individual accomplishments, none of us got here alone. We were supported by teachers who encouraged us, families who sacrificed for us, friends who stood beside us, and communities that believed in us even during moments we doubted ourselves. And now our paths begin to separate. Some of us are heading to four-year universities. Some are attending technical colleges or trade schools. Some are entering the military.
Some are stepping directly into the workforce. And some of us may still be figuring things out. And that is completely okay. What matters is that wherever we go, we continue growing, continue learning, continue adapting, continue becoming better versions of ourselves. Because over these last four years, we learned that here. Being a Pebble Brook Falcon taught us that one, change is inevitable. Two, growth is uncomfortable. And three, both are necessary. The new routes we had to learn during our time here at Pebble Brook eventually became normal. And one day, this transition will too. One day, the uncertainty we feel now will become experience. The fear will become confidence. The unfamiliar will become routine. So don't be discouraged by change. Don't be discouraged when life feels difficult near the end of a chapter. And don't let fear convince you that you are incapable of adapting. As Falcons, we've already proven that we can fly. We, the class of 2026, have shown that we can and will adapt. To the teachers and staff who guided us, thank you for your patience, encouragement, and belief in us. To our families and loved ones, thank you for every sacrifice, every prayer, every ride to school, every late night conversation, and every moment you supported us even when things were difficult. And finally, to the class of 2026, be proud of yourself, not just for earning a diploma, but for everything it took to reach this moment. For every obstacle you overcame, every challenge you survived, every moment you kept going, even when you were tired, today is proof that we are capable of adapting, growing, and moving forward, no matter how uncertain the path may seem.
Congratulations, class of 2026.
It is now my pleasure to welcome the senior ensemble.

Good evening. I'm Dr. Dana Seals, better known as Dr. G, the very proud principal of Pebble Brook High School. Before I begin, I want to offer a moment of silence for a very special student from the class of 2026 that we lost earlier this year.
David Daniel.
David was a light to all who knew him and a friend to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family today as they remember him. We acknowledge his presence with a red rose and his chair in the back. Join me for a moment of silence at this time.
Thank you.
The number 26 is associated with balance, harmony, nurturing, and abundance. Now, class of 2026, when you first arrived at Peelbrook as freshmen, you were far from balanced and far from harmonious, but you were definitely nurturing and caring, which has become a hallmark of this class. We call this the class of the whisperers. As freshman, yeah, you were a little bit quiet, probably hiding in the shadows of a very rum rambunctious class of 2025. But soon you would make your own mark. And what a mark you have made. So, what did you accomplish on this journey? What will be the legacy of the class of 2026?

Look at you now. You are all so incredibly special to me. I want you to go out and be the best version of yourselves. Keep smiling like Madison, Michael, Jalil, Thasin. You may not have eloquent speaking skills like Callie or Shelby, but you have something important to say in this world. Yeah, you might not be able to sing like Elise and Ava, Kari, and Gavin, but you can create your own song of life. Be kind to others like Jesse, Sela, Zurielle, James, and Damian. And no, you may not have the athletic skills like Macy, Zyrie, Tiffany, Jaylen, Ivan, Jolo, Jonathan, and Christopher, but you have your own unique skills that you can draw from.
Finally, I want to thank Michael and Cameron for wearing the crown and the tiara with pride. Thank you, Tayana Gray, Alex Anderson, and Annayia Kirkland for leaving Pebble Brook High School a better version of yourselves.
Thank you, Elon, for showing me what courage looks like. Thank you, Warren, for being unapologetically you. Finally, a special thank you to a special grandmother, Miss Kim Wyatt.
Four years ago, Miss Wyatt called Pebble Brook High School looking for a new high school for her academically gifted granddaughter. She wanted a place where her granddaughter could grow, thrive, and become great. After a call to our school board member, she toured Pebble Brook High School. We opened our doors for her daughter. Her daughter, her granddaughter enrolled, her granddaughter studied. Her granddaughter shined. her granddaughter conquered and today her granddaughter is our validictorian, Alia Phil.
Thank you, Miss Wyatt, for believing that Pebble Brook High School could be her home. And now, for the last time as your principal, cell phones are to be away during instruction.
Students, you have eight minutes to get to class. There's no reason to be late.
We're not an open campus. Once you get to Brook, you are to >> Y'all already know. Remain for the remainder of the day. In our effort to ensure safe school if you see something.
>> That's right. Don't forget, hands are off, >> minds are on. Keep your hands to yourself.
>> If you can't be kind, you can always just >> be quiet. Be quiet. Show kindness and respect to all. And finally, as the last time as your principal, if no one else has told you, never ever forget. Dr. G loves you. God bless you all.
Good afternoon graduates, families, educators, and honored guest. On behalf of the Cobb County School District Board of Education, and the Superintendent of Schools, I want to extend our deepest congratulations to the class of 2026.
Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have overcome at the greatest cost, says Booker T. Washington. Class of 2026, as you stand on the threshold of a new beginning, remember these words. Not as a burden, but as a reminder of the resilience that has brought us here today. As you step into the future, remember your struggles do not define you, but your determination to overcome does. Whether you're pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, serving our country or our community, carry with you the pride of this moment, and the knowledge that you are ready to make a difference. We are so proud of you. So, congratulations to the class of 20 2026. The world awaits you.
As your dulyeleed member of the Cobb County Board of Education, I hereby certify that the graduating seniors of Pebble Brook High School have met the high school graduation requirements of the state board of education and the Cobb County School District and are thus entitled to all rights and privileges for completing these requirements.
