Most people when solving this math expression, first they go for this uh subtraction between 9 and three and write instead of this expression six. Then they go for this addition between eight and two and write instead of this expression 10. Finally they go for this uh division between 10 and four and write instead of this expression 2.5.

[00:00:43]And finally they go for this uh multiplication between 6 and 2.5 and write instead of this expression 15. But this answer is not correct because according to the order operations which is PAM does we have to solve this mass expression in this way. First parentheses then exponent then multiplication or division and then addition or subtraction.

[00:01:09]Remember that multiplication and division have the same level of priority and addition and subtraction have the same level of priority too. According to this rule in first step we have one parenthesis. Inside these parentheses, we have another parenthesis and addition. Now uh excuse me.

[00:01:40]So 8 / 4 = 2. Finally we we have to solve this addition between 2 and two. And we can write inside of this expression four. Let's rewrite the expression. We have 9 minus 3. We have one multiplication here. Because when a number is placed next to parentheses, it means multiplication. And we usually don't write this multiplication for brevity times and four.
