IntelliMug Smart Mug Warmer System ITT569 (IoT) Mini Project Demonstration
Added:[music] >> Have you ever poured yourself a hot cup of coffee, >> [music] >> got distracted by work or a phone call, >> [music] >> and came back to find it ice cold?
You're not alone. This happens to students [music] and office workers every single day.
>> The problem is simple.
Traditional mug warmers just heat continuously.
>> [music] >> They don't know if you're there or not.
They waste electricity and can overheat your drink, and you can't tell if your drink is hot or cold without touching it.
>> [music] [music] >> Introducing IntelliMug, an IoT-based mug mug warmer. It uses an ESP8266 as the brain, a PIR sensor to detect your presence, [music] a thermistor to read temperature, a relay to control the heater, and an RGB LED to show the status.
Everything is connected to Firebase for cloud logging.
>> Here's [music] how it works. When I'm at my desk, the PIR sensor detects my presence.
The relay clicks on and the mug warmer starts heating.
The RGB LED shows the temperature status.
>> All this data is sent to Firebase in real time. [music] You can see the temperature, user status, and relay state updating live on our dashboard.
>> [music] >> But, when I step away, the system knows I'm not there. [music] After 2 minutes of no motion, the relay clicks off saving energy.
>> [music] >> The LED turns red to show the drink is cooling down.
Okay, the system also logs this as a break duration. So, every time I leave and return, >> [music] >> it records the time. So, after several break, it learns my pattern.
Okay, this is where it gets smart.
After collecting a break data, the system calculates a moving average and [music] predict when I'll return. So, the RGB LED change color based on the temperature.
Red when it's [music] cold, yellow when it's warming up, and green when the drink is at optimal temperature.
So, when I sit back down, >> [music] >> my coffee is warm and ready.
Perfect.
Okay, now we in the dashboard section where you can monitor everything through our dashboard. Like temperature, user presence, [music] um relay status, break history, and predicted return time. All in one [music] place, updating in real time.
The dashboard auto refresh every 5 seconds with countdown timer.
Intellimug, keeping your coffee warm so you can focus on what matters.
We are students from Uitm Jengka and this is our IoT project.
