Victory in the Christian life requires active spiritual battle, not passive acceptance; believers must distinguish between salvation (received by grace), sanctification (the process of becoming Christlike), and victorious living (which must be fought for). To be victorious, Christians must develop five key characteristics: (1) Obedience to God's battle plan through hearing His voice, (2) Fierce fighting spirit developed through adversity, (3) Spiritual community and accountability, (4) Spiritual fitness through proper nutrition and exercise, and (5) Endurance and perseverance through challenges. The enemy actively opposes our progress, so we must learn to battle for the blessings Christ has purchased for us.

The Battle Plan of Victory | The Liberty ChurchHinzugefügt:
difficult to go wrong in a prophetic church if you are if you are properly kided in. Now I mean there's a lady here I asked to actually ask her permission because she came to see see me recently and she said she said based on the prophecy I said what's the prophecy? She said pastor that I I said I prophesied to her I'll cover it. I said I said what I saw I said I see a dentist beside you or something like he said I said do you know any dentist said no I said okay and you see anytime I say those if you notice I don't waste time I just go it is either the person has forgotten and they will come and meet me after the service happens almost after every service pastor I forgot my there's one girl I said who is a faith she said my cousin live with us after the service you won't believe she said it's my No joke. She still comes. She comes from wherever she comes from. And I keep telling her you that you forgot your name. Is it her name?
I don't know what happens to people. Now the the the the the the point is this.
So I said I see a dentist beside you and said she doesn't know anything blah blah. Then we had another service sometime thereafter and she came and I called her out for some and she was standing in front of me. I said, "Ah, I see a let's use the word Phillip."
Phillip. Phillip. Who's Phillip? Said she doesn't know any Phillip. Months later, a guy meets her, proposes to her, what is his name? Phillip.
She didn't even know how she was dating him. She now found out that what his original training was in dentistry.
Hallelujah. Good afternoon, Liberty Church Global.
This is the day that the Lord has made.
We rejoice and we're glad in it. Psalm 10 Psalm 100 verse4 says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving in your hearts and into his courts with praise.
be thankful unto him and bless his name.
So I want us to rise up this morning as we begin to lift up a banner of praise unto our God. Our father has been good to us. Let's begin to thank him for his goodness, for his mercies, for his faithfulness, his loving kindness. It is not by our power or by our might that we're standing today. It is simply by the grace of God. So let's just begin to thank him. Father, we bless your name this morning. We lift up the banner of your praise, oh God, for you are good.
Your mercies, they endure forever. You have been faithful unto us. Thank you for a powerp packed week. Uh Father, we thank you, oh God, for the breakthrough night in Lagos this week, just gone.

Let your name be exalted, oh God. In the mighty name of Jesus, we have praised. I want us to take a minute to just lift up every burden that will walk through these doors this morning. This afternoon, the Bible says in his presence there is fullness of joy and at his right hand pleasures ever more. As we walk into this auditorium, we will meet with the presence of God in the mighty name of Jesus. Uh and every burden uh will be lifted in the name of Jesus. Uh father, we thank you, oh God, for your presence this morning. We thank you for the dwelling of your spirit in our midst today. We definitely will not go back the same way that we came in the mighty name of Jesus. Uh for Lord, we will encounter your power. Oh God, we will encounter your transformational power in the mighty name of Jesus. Uh we thank you because our lives will never be the same again. Uh we give you all the praise. Uh in Jesus' name, I want us to lift up Pastor Bima this morning as she brings the word. I want us to also commit our hearts into the hands of God this morning. uh that the foundation will be laid uh for that which God will do in our lives in the name of Jesus. Uh none of us will come back come here and remain the same again in the mighty name of Jesus. Uh father we commit the service onto your hands. Uh we commit your daughter onto your hands. Uh as she brings the word we ask that you will empower her oh God. Uh that she will speak like your very own oracle in the mighty name of Jesus. Uh and Lord, as our hearts receive it, we ask, oh God, that you would change our circumstances uh in the mighty name of Jesus, that we will rise up to be all that you have called and ordained for us to be in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we give you praise. Uh we exalt your mighty name for you are good and you are faithful.
Let your name be praised, oh God.

>> Hello Liberty Global. Here is my amazing testimony.
I started attending church again from the 1st of January 2026.
My intention was to reconnect with my faith and to truly encounter God. I was expectant, looking for something real and supernatural.
Then came February, the season of relationships at TLC. And in the final week of our small groups campaign, we focused specifically on forgiveness.
I was not in a romantic relationship or married. I avoid conflict and could not think of any areas of unforgiveness or unresolved issues with anyone.
Even my relationship with my mother was in a good place. So I thought this wouldn't apply to me and looked forward to the month passing quickly.
But God had other plans. After Pastor Bimbo shared powerfully about forgiveness in the final session, something shifted in me. That entire week, I felt the Holy Spirit pressing on my heart. You think this does not apply to you, but you have a serious case of unforgiveness.
Uh-oh.
It became clear that it was about my biological father who left when I was about a year old.
leaving my mother to raise me alone.
With the Lord's strength, when I was 17, I found him, but he disappeared again.
When I asked him for support with university through God's grace and my mother's covering, I studied in the US and the UK and completed both my bachelor's and masters.
Fast forward to February 2026.
The Holy Spirit brought it back to me. I had blocked my father for nearly a decade.
In 2023, during a difficult season, I unblocked him, not to reconcile, but to release anger. I said hurtful things and blocked him again.
When God reminded me of that moment, it did not even sound like me. I understood this was not just about me. I understood this was not just about what he had done but about what I was carrying.
Then the word became real to me.
Ephesians 6:2 says to honor your father and mother so that it may be well with you that you may live long on the earth.
It doesn't say to only honor them if they were good or present. It simply says honor them.
And I realized I had honored my mother but not my father.
So that Sunday I said in prayer, Lord, I forgive him. But there was no peace or release. And the Holy Spirit said, "That is not enough. Reach out." So I unblocked him and sent a simple message.
Within 20 minutes, he responded.
In prayer, it was easy to forgive. But in reality, I felt that hesitation.
Still, I followed through. I asked for his forgiveness for my words and my dishonor.
I forgave him for his absence.
And immediately he apologized deeply.
That was the beginning of reconciliation.
I asked for his blessing and he released it freely.
Then I told my mother, unsure of how she would respond, but she said, "I did the right thing and blessed the relationship." She even encouraged me to keep praying for him. But God was not finished. Though I was in a good place with my mother, I had hurt her in the past. So I asked her for her forgiveness.
She said she was glad I brought it up, that it hurt her deeply, but she didn't want to disturb our peace.
This was another moment of healing.
So over those weeks, God had been restoring my family, reconciliation with my father, deep healing with my mother, and now interceding for our extended family.
I learned that God is a God of restoration. Before he releases what next, he often asks us to clean house so we can sustain the blessing.
Today I am grateful that my father is alive and I had the opportunity to reconcile. Grateful to my mother and grateful that God did not leave me where I was. Because the truth is not everyone gets this opportunity.
So if you do have the opportunity to forgive, to reach out, to honor your parents, I encourage you to take it. Not only is there reconciliation, there is a blessing and freedom in it.
And I trust that the Lord will continue to work in my life, restoring, building, and completing what he started. God is truly moving. And what I thought did not apply to me became the very place where he transformed my life. Hallelujah.
Thank you, Jesus.
>> Praise the Lord.
>> Isn't that a powerful testimony of how God can restore and transform a family? My prayer for you is that God will visit you >> in Jesus name.
My dear friend is here, Pastor Bimbo.
Please come to the front, please. Let's make her feel welcome.
Pastor Bimbo Equel and her husband, Pastor, a powerful church in Abuja, Nigeria. But we go way, way back. So when we were singles, we're in singles ministry together in my church, House on the Rock, Lagos at that time. And we both ended up marrying ministers. And we have the same name. So, can you just celebrate her once again?
You're most welcome.
So, as many of us know here, pastor is in Nigeria. Um on Friday, we had Lagos Breakthrough Night. Um this Sunday, he's taking service um there. And then I believe during the week, he's making his way to Makodi where he's speaking at Apostle Rome's conference. So, please do keep him in your prayers. Makodi is not Victoria Island. Amen. So, he needs your prayers um throughout this week. Uh I also want to celebrate our people in red. I only see a couple of people uh this service. In first service, there were some strong Arsenal um supporters. It's been a profound week. So on Tuesday, which was the day after the the football match, one member of our staff had changed his backdrop to Arsenal.
And then somebody else turned up at the meeting in an Arsenal shirt and hat, you know. So I said, "I hope this is only for today." He said, "No, he's wearing it for the whole week." I said, "How does your wife feel about this?" He said, "Well, he's bought her our her own merch, so everywhere she goes, she must also accompany him in full regalia." So, we just want to celebrate the fact that God has broken 22 years of drought for Arsenal fans.
We are praying that the Lord will preserve your victory >> and cause you to have many more successes >> in Jesus name.
I even said I would wear red today, but I forgot. That shows you how interested I am in football. So, how many of us are ready to talk about the battle plan for your victory? That's going to be our focus for today. And May has been a profound month at the Liberty Church. Do you agree with me? Um, it's it's been a month really of spiritual reawakening for many, many people. And we've been looking at the theme of victory. We've been looking at it specifically through the lens of who we need to become in order to have victory. Who we need to become in order to have victory. So, you know, uh the Bible talks about line upon line. So, each week we've been building on that. And in week one, Pastor Shalah was talking to us about the spiritual practices we need to build into our life in order to have victory. And he shared about seven, you know, with us. I'm not going to go through them all for sake of time, but it's there on the screen. In week two, we learned about what being an eagle Christian looks like. And we spoke especially about the importance of being spirit assisted. And then in week three, we looked at walking in spiritual power.
And this week, I want to talk about something that everyone who will be victorious must learn. And that is how to battle for your victory. How to battle for your victory. All the things that we've been talking about in the foregoing weeks are fantastic. But actually, if we don't know how to battle for victory, we cannot walk in the power and we cannot walk a spirit enabled life or consistently practice spiritual disciplines. It's not possible if you don't know how to battle for victory. Uh because we have an enemy and the enemy does not want to see you make progress. Do you think the enemy wants to see you develop a powerful prayer life? Do you want you think that the enemy wants to see you to be able to move mountains by faith? No. The enemy doesn't want that because that diminishes his own kingdom.
And therefore, if you are going to take territory from the enemy, you must learn to battle for victory.
We live in a generation that leans heavily on the grace of God. And how many of you know that we need grace? We need grace. We all need it. In fact, Ephesians 2:8, it's a foundational scripture for our faith. It says, "By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." So none of us can boast that we're here because of something that we did or because we were so good.
We are so thankful that we are all standing in faith by reason of the finished work of the cross. So it's true that Christ has paid the price, but for many Christians, this is where they think it ends. You know, we love that song, Jesus overcame it all. Jesus won it all. Don't we love that song? Do you know why we love that song? It we think it means we have no spiritual responsibility.
Jesus has done it all. Jesus has fully paid the price. So, it's time for you and I to be drinking Kool-Aid, eating ice cream, and just living a wonderful life. But how many of you have been a few years in Christianity and you found that you can't be just eating ice cream and Kool-Aid and your problems disappear? How many of you are Christians, but you still have problems?
>> Only a few.
So, it's not a magic wand that does away with all of life's difficulties.
In fact, there's a scripture, a very perplexing scripture in Philippians verse 2:12. It says, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
So if you are a Bible student, one question you should be asking yourself is how can someone be saved but still be working it out?
Because if we are saved, we are saved.
So what exactly is it that we are working out?
And this is the crux of the matter that we fail to distinguish three steps in our Christian walk. We don't distinguish between salvation, sanctification, and the conquering of victorious life.
And each and every one of us must move through those categories if we are going to exist in the fullness of the promises that God has for us as believers.
So, as we've already established, salvation is received by grace alone.
Somebody said, "Jesus plus nothing."
Don't you love that? Jesus plus nothing is all you need for salvation. He's paid the price. Once you say the prayer of repentance and you accept him as Lord, you are saved. That's phase one. There is now phase two which is the process of sanctification.
And sanctification is pursue. That is the process of becoming Christlike. How many of you know that you didn't just wake up the day after you became a Christian and you were beautiful?
You were always in a good mood.
You were never angry. You never cursed anyone.
I think I think think it was uh h a pastor that said he was in the car speaking in tongues and then someone double crossed him and he don't do this.
So at the same time he was speaking in tongues he was also abusing somebody.
That shows us that sanctification is a process.
We did nothing to earn salvation.
But we must now live a life befitting of salvation. And that is a process. And that is something that requires amplic application.
This is what uh the New Living Translation, this is how it interprets Philippians 2:12. It says, "Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear." The Amplified Bible puts it this way. So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed my instructions, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation. Cultivate it. Bring it to full effect. Actively pursue spiritual maturity. So spiritual maturity is not something that falls on you and it's not even a matter of being in Christ for a long time because sometimes people say ah that person has been a Christian for 20 years so what?
Don't expect maturity just because somebody has been in Christ a long time.
The question is have they submitted to the process of sanctification?
And then the last stage is victorious living. And this level is fought for.
You see, there are benefits of salvation that you and I are going to have to battle for. Jesus Christ died that you might have perfect health, but you are going to battle for it. Jesus Christ died that you might have peace, but you and I are going to have to battle for it.
So there are some things that Christ has purchased for us that the enemy is going to contend us for. And unless you develop a fighting spirit or a victor spirit, there are some things that Christ has purchased for you that you will never enjoy sadly.
So let me give you two examples. during COVID um in our old house, the house we were living in at the time, I had a study and my study overlooked um the driveway. So, I could see um my husband's car in the driveway. So, it was just a regular COVID day, you know, one of those that season of of time days melted into each other. you don't know whether it's Monday or you know but I happened to be in my study and I just saw somebody walk very very you know briskly up to the car middle of the afternoon probably about 2 2 p.m. broad daylight and try to open my husband's car. At first I thought I was is this happening? And then he had like a electronic fob. He was trying to open the car to steal the car. So I ran to the window and I started shouting from the window, get away from the car, get away from the car. And he was still he was still trying to, you know, open the car. So I then started shouting. I mean, it was just me. I didn't know if the guy was dangerous. I didn't know whether I should open the door, but I just leaned out of the window and I started shouting, "Get away! Get away from the car." And a couple of neighbors came out and when he saw the neighbors, he ran.
So listen, there are some things that belong to you. In broad daylight, some people will have the temerity to try and take it from you.
There's another lady I know who was she was given a property by her father and the property the the dad had owned it for a long time and um there were tenants in there and they were like misgrunt tenants they hadn't been paying for years. So her dad was like if you can get them out of the property is yours.
So beautiful detached property in a very one of these established residential areas.
Um, so she would go there, you know, and the tenants would laugh at her. They would be like, "Look, the person who owns the property has not been able to get us out. We are not going." And so what she would do every day, she would go to the house and just harass them.
So, you know, this is why we say you have to have a fighting spirit. You have to learn to harass what has been harassing you.
So she would go out and she would just knock on the bang on the gate and say, "Get out of my house, thieves." You might translate that to Yoruba.
Okay. This is what she would say. She would just bang on the gate every morning and tell all the people in the neighborhood, "The people here are thieves. This is my house. They're not paying rent. They refuse to get out."
She would she would do She did that for weeks. She said they actually knew her as like the mad lady in the neighborhood because in the morning she would just tie her rapper. She's heading to the house to shout for the day before her day begins.
Do you know what happens? One day she just went there. The gate was open. The house was empty.
She had harassed them out of her house.
There was something that she did every morning that produced a result after some time.
And if you and I want to have victory, there are some things we need to do every morning.
So there are some things that have had a strangle hold on our family. One day you will just look and you discover that that familial pattern has disappeared because you chose to refuse to live with what others have been living with >> in your generations.
Victory is fought for. Victory must be battled for. There are some things God wants for you that are not going to fall into your laps. The very definition of victory carries the idea of effort, application and struggle. What does victory mean? Victory means the successful ending of a struggle or military contest. It means to overcome.
It means to prevail. It means to conquer. The Christian life is a fight.
You can't be cute and be victorious. You have to decide.
I mean, we saw an extreme example of it recently on social media where some ladies were fighting outside a nightclub. Wigs came off, eventually one person drove over the other person.
That's what you call when you you have determined that you are not losing the fight.
So, whatever it takes to win the battle, I'm not condoning what she did. Please understand me. I'm talking about the fact that you can't you can't fight and look cute.
You can't fight and expect not to lose something, not to be scratched, not to be hurt. The important thing is that at the end you win.
That is what Christ and that is what God has called us to if we are going to be victorious. The Christian life is a fight. 1 Timothy 6:12, it says, "Fight the good fight of faith." Wow. So, there's a good fight. Did you know there is a good fight of faith that you and I have to fight? Second Timothy 4:7, it says, "I have fought." At the end of his life, Paul said, "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith."
So at the end of your journey with God, at the end of your life, what will be your testimony?
Will it be I have fought the good fight?
Or I avoided as much trouble as I could.
I got into heaven, but I didn't have a victorious life on earth.
Well, that will not be your testimony in the name of Jesus.
So faith is not maintained casually.
Nobody drifts into spiritual victory.
Nobody accidentally becomes holy. Nobody sleepwalks into victory. It doesn't happen. If somebody told you that, you know, they tell us come to come to Jesus, all your problems will be solved.
They tell you that's just to get you over the hurdle.
And it's actually the best decision that you are ever going to make. But there are still some steps that you are going to need to take. Why do we fight? We fight because we have an adversary to overcome.
Turn to your neighbor and say, "Neighbor, >> in case you didn't know, >> in case you didn't, >> you have an adversary. You have an adversary."
>> You know, because I know this is the UK, you know, sometimes we were very sophisticated over here and we don't believe in demons and things like that.
But this is what the Bible says in 1 Peter 5. It says, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
The enemy is looking for a gap. He's He's thinking who is not up for a fight.
You know, bullies, they only go for people who are not up for a fight.
When I was in boarding school, funny enough, I was in boarding school with two girls who were president's daughters. One was tall, very tall, and one was short.
And so in a fight, who do you think would win? The tall one, but it wasn't about the height. It was about the fight.
I can't even remember what they were fighting. Maybe it was whose dad was more presidential.
Before I knew it, the little one had gone and I slapped it. And that's where you see that the the you know, it was I I really think it was a psy psychological battle that if I'm going to win this war or this battle, I must hit the first I must make the first strike. So the enemy is always looking for a gap. Who is vulnerable? Who can I take advantage of?
And that's why you must determine that you are willing to battle and you are willing to pay the price for victory. So we we fight because we have an adversary to overcome. Number two, we fight because we have a precious faith to preserve.
The Bible talks about some people that shipwrecked their faith. That means the their faith fell apart at some point.
They lost it. their faith is a drift on the sea.
And there are lots of different ways that our faith can be shipwrecked.
We live in a society that is very open to to new age, new philosophies.
You may have a friend who's trying to take you to the tarot or palm reader.
You don't know what you're opening your, you know, your your world into. Some of you are still reading horoscope.
You are still identifying yourself as Taurus or Gemini or a Scorpion.
Do you know the Bible says you should you will trade upon serpents and so if you identify yourself as Scorpio, you need help.
We are too pastor Kun said we should tread on you.
We have a precious faith to preserve.
Sometimes it's it's other religions.
Sometimes it's it's false philosophies.
It's it's new age. Sometimes it's your doubt in God.
It's your inability to get over something that you thought God would do that he hasn't done yet.
So there are many doors through which our faith can be lost. But the Bible says our faith is much more precious than gold. 1 Peter 1:7. That's why you have to battle for it because it's precious and is valuable not only for this life but to secure an eternity with God.
Number three, you battle for victory because you need transformation from where you are or who you are into who you need to be.
You're cute, but you ain't all that, as the Americans would say.
We say come as you are but don't stay as you are. God is still working on you and I. That's why I love today's uh uh testimony. You know it was not a testimony of a healing or breakthrough in Job. It was a testimony about the Holy Spirit build building the fruit of the spirit in somebody and transforming her family life through that.
The fourth and final reason why you need to battle for victory is in order to lay hold of and enjoy all that Christ purchased for you. The enemy is a liar and a thief. So there are some things God has purchased for you that the enemy will tell you you are not entitled to.
So you need to fight in order to lay hold of those things.
Several years ago in our last ministry, we had a member of our choir who got um cancer and she was engaged to be married. The first thing that happened was that her fiance unheard God.
You know there are some people who only hear God when things are good. One things begin to you know God didn't say. So you know we said look it's actually good you're finding this on the this side of marriage. So bless the Lord brother. May the Lord join you with the right person he has for you. So anyway it gets so bad that she's moved into a hospice and you know what a hospice is is waiting room for death.
So when she gets into the hospice, she starts having Bible study and communion daily with everybody in the hospice.
She was young, maybe like um how many people you remember Patricia? She's probably in her 30s, early 30s. The hospice was full of older women.
One by one, as she began to have this prayer meeting, she'll invite people to prayer meeting. They will come. She'll share the word. They'll pray, take communion.
People started getting healed in the hospice.
One person will leave the hospice.
She'll bring them to church. We saw them testimony of healing. Before long, the hospice was her ward was almost empty.
And then she began to ask God, "Excuse me, Lord.
It's beautiful that all these people are getting healed, but I am the one that started this and I still have cancer.
And she said, the Holy Spirit said to her, if you get healed and leave, who will who will be the agent of all these people's healing?
She was the last one to leave the cancer ward, the cancer hospice free. She's alive till today, 20 odd years later.
She could have died.
She could have died in the hospital, but she believed that Christ died for her healing.
And she fought for it every day.
And not only did she secure her own healing, she secured the healing of everybody. My prayer is that God will so bless you that everybody that is associated with you will feel the impact of God's hand upon your life.
So that is why you and I must be committed to fighting. In fact, do you know that the the the Bible says that you and I are soldiers?
In 2 Timothy 2:es 3-4, he says, "Endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ.
We want to be babies of Christ. We want to be God's sweetheart." And that's beautiful. My daddy, my daddy, your baby is singing. That's the one we like.
We don't like soldier of Christ.
But that's what the Bible says that you and I are. And it's the soldier Christian who wins battles. It's not the baby Christian that wins battles. It's the person that has built the spiritual armor to overcome in God. Because what do soldiers do?
Soldiers fight wars and defend nations.
So when Jesus says that you and I are soldiers, when the Bible says that you and I are soldiers, what he's saying is that we are people who are called to fight wars and defend territories.
There are territories that God has given you. Your family is a territory. Your church is a territory. Your children are a territory. Your workplace is a territory.
your your the space you you function in is the territory.
I'm always harassing my younger son. I said, I know you are there singing, singing. I said, don't forget what they sent you for there. That's the territory.
We're called to defend territories.
And what are soldiers done? Soldiers are trained for victory. So today we're going to share five characteristics of a soldier Christian in the second part as we move into the second part of this message. By God's grace I should be able to finish it but if I don't we'll end where we end. I think the first two points are the most important.
The first characteristic of a soldier is that every soldier is a follower.
Every soldier has a commander that they answer to.
In fact, if you if you conscript to be a soldier and you cannot take instruction, you cannot last as a soldier.
The first characteristic of a soldier is that they are obedient.
So God has a battle plan. God the commander has a battle plan for your victory.
But to experience victory requires alignment to that battle plan.
But you know the challenge is that many of us cannot even hear the battle plan.
We don't know the voice of the commander.
How can you follow what you don't even you can't even hear? You can't even perceive. You can't even pick up.
The first key to victory is hearing what God is saying.
Romans 8:14, it says, "For as many as are led or as many as are directed by the spirit of God," these are the sons of God. These are the mature sons of God. These are the soldiers of God.
So I say this to singles and they don't like it. I say if you can't hear God, you are not ready for marriage.
A couple came to see me. One of them was particularly cro close to me. They say, "Oh, you know this." I said, I said, "Have you heard God?" They were looking at me like, "What's wrong with you? We are saying we love each other. We are compatible. We are this." I said, "Can you have you heard God?
Do you know why? If you don't hear God, the the circumstances of life look very pleasant now.
The singles are praying to get married.
You don't know no there are some married people who are praying to be single.
If you don't hear God, you'll be praying to be unmarried.
When people say if you can't hear God, you you shouldn't relocate.
Everybody is going to Dubai. Safest place in the world. Is it still?
They dropped a few bombs there. All the people that run there, they pack their bags at their back because guess what? The safest place to be is in the will of God.
That's why you must hear your commander.
Okay, let me give you a testimony of why you must be able to hear God before you marry.
Because I remember sing speaking to one lady about you know before she got married there were some issues. I said have you seen this? Have you seen that?
She said pastor B you people are always stressing us stressing us. How hard can it be? That those were her words. How hard can it be? I said you don't want to know how hard it can be.
When she entered marriage she said pastor B use me. She said when you meet with singles you tell my story.
I was the one that said how hard can it be. Now I have seen how hard it can be.
Why you should hear God? This couple they've been believing God for children for a long time. Eventually after a few years the lady got pregnant. She got pregnant but the you know pregnancy was very complicated. Lots of you know bleeding this that. Eventually they they said that the child had Down syndrome and that her life was on the line and they advised her husband to to you know for them to take the baby out to preserve her life.
So the husband said please just give me 12 to 24 hours.
Her husband was very prayerful.
So husband went to pray and he came out and he said God said you will be fine and the baby will be fine. If you are the mother of the wife, what will you say?
Will you be happy that your your your wife's husband said he's an intercessor from God?
So So he said, "Do you do you trust me?"
And you see, she knew him to be somebody who hears from God.
So she said, "Yes, I trust you. If you say that's what God said to you concerning this important matter, I believe you." Do you know what? They had the baby. The baby does not did not have Down syndrome.
Not only that, the baby is one of those overachiever a star children.
She excels the piano. They will give her certificate. Everything she does, she excels at it. Now listen, if they didn't know how to hear God, they would have lost that baby. Not only that, they would have said that God is not faithful.
They would have said, "God, how could you help cause us to conceive and then cause us to lose this baby?"
Whereas God was building their spiritual muscles and showing them his faithfulness in adversity.
So when you are a soldier, one of the first things you undergo is drill training. When they SAY ATTENTION RIGHT TURN, LEFT TURN, they are training you. If we say left turn, better know, don't face the other direction.
Some of us that struggle with left and right. That's me. When when they say right, I say, "Okay, which hand do I write with?" This is right. You can't be in the army.
In case you shoot the wrong, you must hear instruction clearly.
And then you must obey. How many of you know that hearing is one thing, obeying is another? Ah yes. Because if you don't like the instruction, some of us we don't like the instructions God gives us, you're like, God, why are you like this?
Why can't you just make it easy?
You know, why are you always stressing people, relocating people, rearranging people's lives?
You know, we we led a ministry for almost 20 years within a congregation.
My husband started it, I think when he was about 25 or 26 years old, he started that church and in the 19th year, God told him to leave the church and to start the Liberty Church.
So he had gone on a pastor's conference.
God spoke to him in Philadelphia, told him to leave his father's house. That same afternoon, he went to the pastor's conference. He um uh a another pastor with a prophetic grace upon his life called him out and said, "God told me to tell you to leave your father's house." Same day. So when he came back to London, he told me, he said, "God told me that we need to leave." I said first of all why is it in Philadelphia you know we have been in London all these years he could not tell you here besides you have already left your father's house this church you are standing in you said that's the word God gave you so the father's house you are to leave you've left and yes so he said to me he said pimple I've heard god now go and hear god for yourself because you know as a woman you began to think of practic two boys in private school mortgage this that my head was already running computations.
Oh Lord hey you've been there pastor Bimbo you've been there so that oh Lord was with feeling start again in your late 40s.
So I prayed and God gave me a scripture.
He told me he wanted to put new wine in new wine skin and I knew that God was calling us out.
Honestly, it was a very tumultuous tumultuous time. I was telling the first service people that when I in that season when I wake up I cry. I don't know if that was your in the morning like like I know I'm going to cry at some point in the day. So let me get it out of the way.
Yes, because hear all sorts of stories.
Oh they they did this. I said really where was I when I did that?
Some people said they are going to Nigeria to be to become politicians. I mean just stories, different stories.
They kicked them now. Not that we left.
They kicked us out. And the reason why they kicked us out is yet to be revealed.
But you know what? In all that difficulty, I was 110% sure that I was in the will of God. So decrying was just to pity myself. It didn't change the accuracy of what God was said and the reality that we were in the will of God. So listen, the will of God is not always a soft walk.
It's not always an easy ride.
Sometimes it cost you something. It cost you this. It cost you your comfort. It cost you security. It cost you some friends. It cost you your ego.
But remember what we said, the will of God is always the safest place.
And God said there is nobody that leaves husband, wife, house, property for him that in this world and in the one to come will not receive a hundfold. God never strips to deplete. He always strips to multiply.
So when you understand how God works, even when God seems to be a subtracting for you, you from you, you know it's only a matter of time before you kick into multiplication.
So you must if you're going to be victorious, you must learn to hear God's voice because it's from God's voice that you will get your battle plan instructions.
You will get your guidance.
You will get your details where you should be, what you should, you know, what you should say, what you shouldn't say. Do you know that even after God had told uh um Paul and Barnabas to go on mission, God still blocked them from certain things?
So you need that minuteby-minute instruction from God to be victorious.
Number two characteristic of a soldier.
Remember I said we may we may not finish but what you get is enough will be enough is that soldiers are fierce fighters and God actually teaches us to war. If you and I want victory, we must allow God to train us to war. This is what Psalm 144:1 says. It says, "Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle."
Do you know that God trains people for war? Did you know that God is a fighter?
God, because God is a conqueror, anybody who is a conqueror has fought a war and triumphed in that war.
In Judges 3, it says, "Now these are the nations which the Lord left that he might test Israel by them. That is all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan. This was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it."
So it means that there is a part of our development that is not complete without some battle experience because this what the scripture is saying is that there were there was a portion of Israelites that hadn't experienced war and God was like ah no they're not ready we need to manufacture some circumstances for them to go through because battle does something in you.
First of all, battle it eliminates fear.
You you are only scared if you've never battled. If you've battled and won, there's a fierceness that comes upon your life.
>> So, this this couple I told you, what are the ways that God builds uh h trains us to war? Number one is God passes us through adversity not to kill us but to show his power in our lives. So that's what happened with this couple I was telling you about who you know were trying to conceive and all the challenges that they had with their you know with their um child birth. There's another couple in our church. Um I think they had their first son when was it 13 days it was it 13 years 12 years now listen I can share this story because they shared the story he didn't have low sperm he had no sperm okay as I said I'm not gisting you okay I'm not revealing somebody's secret they've shared this testimony so he had a medical condition that meant he was not producing not that he wasn't producing a lot of sperm, he was not producing any sperm.
So please can you tell me how somebody like that is going to have a child?
Not only that, they had the audacity to believe that they were going to have twins.
That's how you know that some people are they are not well in a natural point of view.
They are not well naturally but they are very well spiritually.
And I mean there was a day they came you know to our house.
Hey I said can we can we manufacture children?
Do we have the power to manufacture children? Anyway to cut a long story short they now have their first son who is a boy and a set of twins two girls.
Because God is not mocked.
And you see their story now means that anybody who has that challenge, they are able to tell them relax, relax.
The Bible says that God made a public spectacle. Do you know what it means?
The public spectacular is you humiliate somebody when the Americans say you brag on God.
Yeah, you are able to brag on God.
That's when they say what God cannot do.
>> How can God make somebody who does not have sperm have three children?
I mean ridiculous stories. people without wombs having children. How?
Because God wants to show, you see, if there's no trial, there's no way for God to show himself to be God.
And God wants to show his might through our adversity.
Number two way that God teaches us to war is through his word.
And that's why you and I have to be conversent with God's word because God's word is both our manual and our weapon.
Okay? So, first of all, God's word tells you what you can have and then God's word enables you to get what God says you can have.
1 Corinthians 2:12, it says, "Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is from God that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." So there are some things that have been freely given to you by God.
The Bible says, "None shall lack their seed or none shall be barren in their midst." So that means even if you don't have any sperm, you read that scripture, it means God is saying despite whatever your natural condition is, that promise is yours.
And then the second thing is that the word then also becomes our weapon. In Revelations 12 10-11, it says they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony.
So that means that you use God's word as a sword. The Bible says it's a two-edged sword. It means any way you slash it, it cuts.
So I was telling the first service people about one lady who came, she came to supernatural shift. I heard this testimony recently is fresh. You know the the pastor Kul says some testimonies expire. So this one is fresh.
She came to supernatural show. Was it April? She came from America. Imagine she came from America just to see one of the men of God to say that somebody carried her husband.
Do you know that people carry husbands?
Some people that's their specialty.
They look for established husbands, packaged husbands and they carry them.
So because you know if you are 21, 22, would you not rather have an established guy in his mid-50s but he's still trim he has many properties, many cars, can take you to Dubai and say buy anything you want in Dubai.
So when this 21-year-old saw she carried the man from his house, the guy relocated to our flat.
Imagine you're 21 years. We call him 55 year old baby. Baby, can you get me?
Baby, can you and baby too will be Hey, please tell if there's a woman next to you, say hold your husband. Oh, holding.
Hey h some people are looking for your husband that husband that you are doing anyhow some people are looking for him that's how this young girl carried this man from his house so the lady flew all the way from America to say please they have carried my husband and I need him back.
So, so the pastor said, "He's your husband by covenant.
Insist on your marriage covenant and begin to bind every strange woman and command the return of your husband to your house." Anyway, to cause a long story short, the man packed his lo within a few months of these prayers. He just reappeared in the house very repentant and ready to resume his husbandly duties. Now I know some of you may be saying you don't want him back but this lady wants him back.
And you see if she did not know how to fight with the word her hus the husband of her youth the father of her children the man she struggled with no look you will not walk and somebody else enjoy the fruit of your labor. You will not struggle with a man and somebody carry him in his years of prosperity. Hey, that's why you have to become h a what's the word? You have to become hood.
You have to go hood sometimes in the spirit.
You have to go gangster.
I know you people are feeling me now.
So some gangsters do not carry your load.
Number three way God chooses uh trains us to war is through community and accountability.
The Bible says in Proverbs 27:17 that iron sharpens iron.
And that's why the Bible says do not forsake the assembling together of yourselves.
Church is powerful.
There are some battles you are not called to war. In fact, you don't have capacity by yourself.
That's why I always say to believers, the time you most need to be in church is the time you least feel like being in church.
>> It's those times that you need church. I remember one particular season, I don't even know what was going. I was so I don't know whether the word is depressed. Depressed is a bit strong, but I was just out of it.
But you know, I'm the pastor's wife, so I have to show up. I didn't really have a choice. They will not allow me to stay at in the house. So I put on my clothes.
I came to church. As I was the worship music was going, my leg was just before I knew it.
The worship was sweet. Do you know I did not live with the spirit of heaviness that I came with.
There there are some things that you think are natural. They are spiritual small group in this church. One of the members, a couple there, they said they were getting a divorce. Do you know what the small group did? They got together.
They divined, they decided a prayer and fasting routter.
So every day of the week, one person in the small group was fasting and praying for the restoration of that marriage.
The couple are still together today.
It's been almost 10 years.
That's the power of spiritual community.
So there are some things you are trying to battle by yourself. You are not designed to battle it by yourself.
You come to church maybe the you know somebody gives you a prophetic word.
Somebody gives you a word of encouragement.
Somebody just sees you and says, "This guy, who is this guy? There's this guy that's been around you. Come, let's talk."
That's how they break a relationship that may have broken your life.
Spiritual community is powerful.
If we want to be victorious, we can't walk alone. I'm going to give you the last three just you know I'm not going to do them because our time is over and I want to honor the time and we also have thanksgiving today. So the other three characteristics which you must develop to be victorious is spiritual fitness.
Pastor has already spoken about that quite a bit in the month of May. So I won't talk about it too much. You have to be spiritually fit. That is about your spiritual nutrition. what you are taking in the amount of word you are taking in and also um a spiritual exercise how active your prayer life is.
Okay. The the fourth is focus discipline. Many of us cannot be victorious without being disciplined.
You know is the discipline to do what you need to do versus what your flesh wants to do. Your flesh wants to sleep when you should pray. Your fle flesh wants to eat when you should fast. your your flesh wants to fornicate when you should be abstinent. So discipline, spiritual discipline is required. And then the last is forbearance or endurance. We cannot be victorious if we want victory in a moment.
And we live in a generation that does not understand endurance.
We want everything in sound bites. Do you know that if you are if you are scrolling through Instagram and they don't hit you in 5 seconds, you're gone.
We've been trained to not be patient with process.
If the you're watching a movie, I mean myself and my husband sometimes we're watching a movie, we're getting all you know what's going to happen and we just notice our sons are cool. Ah, what's happen? I've Googled the end. I'm like what's the point of watching the movie?
Well, that's this generation is like, let's just find out what's going to happen so we can lose all this tension.
But everything of value takes time to build. Wealth takes time to build. Don't believe in women empowering women. It's a Ponzi scheme.
Okay? No, wealth is not and crypto just know what you are doing so that crypto doesn't you. Crypto is not for everyone.
So in in God's kingdom, things of value require time to mature.
Your marriage, your business, your investments, your purpose, even your voice, your faith. You can't rush it.
And that's part of where victory or battling comes in is the battle of endurance. is the battle of staying through.
Many of us don't see victory because we quit too early.
We turn it in too early. No, this is too much stress.
I remember my both our sons, you know, in university, oh, one said he was an entrepreneur, doesn't need to graduate to do business. The second one said he's an entertainer. He doesn't need to graduate to do I said is true. You don't need to but you should you know so you do different things as parents sometimes you beg sometimes you threaten you use a combination of factors whatever will give you victory to push them to that final exam.
Now, no, you know, my youngest son, you know, he's he's an Oxford graduate and and uh uh the the UN Union of Cambridge invited him to speak, put on his shirt.
He said, "Yes, University of Cambridge invited me to you." I said, "I thought you said you didn't need to graduate."
It's because we forced you. You can now put on shirts and put on Instagram that University of Cambridge invited you to their union. Anything of value requires endurance, requires perseverance, requires pushing through, is part of your battle armor.
If you're somebody that gives up too easily, turns back too quickly, the victory that is yours may be denied you.
Sometimes you struggled so long, you at the edge of breakthrough. If only you could open your eyes in the spirit to see that breakthrough is around the corner. You would persist just that little bit longer. My prayer for you is that God will train your arms for war.
>> That God will give you skill for every battle and every challenge that you face. My prayer is that God will not allow you to walk alone.
>> That God will surround you with helpers, >> people who will hold up your hands in the battle >> until you see victory. My prayer for you is that God will give you an enduring spirit, >> a battleh hardy spirit >> that will cause you to stay through until your season of victory.
>> Indeed, in due season, we will celebrate with you >> in Jesus mighty name. Can we put our hands together? Let's bless God.
Amen. Before I take my seat, I want us to just bow our heads for a moment. I want to give somebody here a moment of privacy.
We want to pray for somebody here who's never made a decision for Christ. This is your moment. Perhaps somebody has invited you to church or you've been coming and you've never made that decision.
Jesus died to give you an eternity with God. Fully paid for. all your sins forgiven and right standing with him from the moment you make the decision.
If that's you and you're saying, "Pastor, I'd like you to pray with me."
Please, could you lift up your hands?
We'd love to pray with you. Would love to pray with you right now. If that is anybody in the room, okay, I don't see any hands. God bless you. Please look up. There is also going to be a QR code on the screen. If you're saying, "Oh, I don't want to do it publicly, but I'd love somebody to get in touch with me and pray with me."
Please scan the QR code. Somebody will be in touch with you during the week to pray with you and to lead you to Christ.
And last but not least, would love you to to give you an opportunity to give to God. The Bible says none shall should come before him empty. And that God loves a generous giver. Um, and so on the screen once again, there's going to be details if you'd like to give electronically. You can scan the QR code and give, you know, to the church electronically. Or if you'd like to do it the good oldfashioned way, the ushers have envelopes if you'd like to give cash or if you prefer to put your card details on the envelope. The finance team treated with high confidentiality so you can be sure that your bank details will be safe. God bless you as you give.
Liberty Church Global. Please can we make that round of applause bigger for the grace of God upon our dear pastor Bimbo. What a sermon. Thank you so much PB for that practical wisdomfilled word and that's very very much in in season for us as a church. My name is Honest and I'm here to take the POP update and introduce the announcements video. First on my list is the small groups campaign. As you already know or you may not know, the Liberty Church small groups is running a campaign currently themed detours, delays, and divine purpose when life seems to contradict what God promised.
And it's been designed by our lead pastors. This week we'll be continuing with our second session of this campaign and it is titled the transformed inner life, joy, peace and it is hosted by our dear pastor Bimbo. So if you want an overflow of the wisdom that you've received today through her ministration, please do attend the small group session. If you're not currently part of a small group at the Liberty Church, but you're looking to build connections, you want to explore faith-based discussions and grow within a community. I mean PB spoke about the church community in her sermon as you know a means of um getting strength for battle. We would like for you to join us by scanning a QR code to sign up today to become a part of the small group. I believe the code should be up on the screen in a moment from now and you can also ask one of the the team members you know in service about small groups if you're keen to join one today.
You can use this as one of the things that you're working on in our 90-day challenge. As you may be well aware, the Liberty Church is currently running a 90-day challenge where we're focusing on different things. Prayer, fasting, you know, for our growth and moving to the next dimension. And I believe that a faith-based community within a vibrant believing church like this might be one thing that can help you in that regard.
Second on my list is raising a territorial army. This is a session we will be having with Reverend Mossi Madukba and his dear wife. If you attended the last session we had with Reverend Mossi during one of our supernatural shift conference last year, then you need no convincing to be at this session. In this session, he's back next Saturday at 2 p.m. to empower us to move to higher dimensions. And the session will include teachings on the battle for the family which is very apt and is the message we've just heard breaking curses and negative patterns and strategies for taking territory. So please do register as soon as possible using the QR code on the screen or checking it out on our Liberty Church page on Eventbrite.
Thirdly, we have Enrich. enrich is the marriage ministry at the Liberty Church and they would be hosting a married couple's lunch with our lead pastors pastor Dr. Scholaf Falad and Pastor Vimbo Flay. It is designed to create a warm a supportive environment where couples married couples can have guided discussions interactive activities and they'll be encouraged to build deeper emotional connections, address challenges and develop practical tools for sustaining healthy marriages. So if you want a battle for your marriage, this is one of the events you should be attending.
Next on my list, repeat attendance. If you love us so much that you worship with us first service and also second service, we would like to accurately count the numbers. So if you could please scan the QR code appearing on the screen to complete the repeat attendance form, we will very much appreciate that.
The announcement videos will play now, so please keep your eyes peeled to the screen and listen. Thank you.
this small group campaign titled detours, delays and divine purpose. When I was in boarding school, I picked up um smoking smoking cigarettes and I started smoking cigarettes when I was about 14 years old. So by the time I got to the university, I had a pack a day habit. I used to smoke 20 20 cigarettes a day when I gave my life, you know, to Jesus.
And this is what people think. Oh, immediately you give your life, all of those things, you know, end. So I realized that smoking and Jesus could not go together. I needed to give up the habit. And I started in prayer. I started by asking God to help me. I started by asking God to break the hold of nicotine. And it was a hold. Um I spent 48 hours in a lot of physical agony as I tried to stop. So whenever we're trying to break the hold of the flesh, there's a mixture of Holy Spirit and divine enablement that he's going to give us to discipline and boundary our choices and behavior so that that habit can be broken.

We're now going to go and do um the birthday celebrations. Ladies, can we say your age?
Are you hiding it? Don't worry. We'll keep it between us girls. But both of them are celebrating. Well, when I pray it may come out, but both of them are celebrating again.
