This video demonstrates how professional filmmaking techniques are applied in video game cutscenes, including camera movements (Dutch angles, camera orbits, tracking shots), lighting and color grading (5500 Kelvin color temperature, backlit scenes, shadow work), and narrative structure (non-linear storytelling, character introductions, dramatic reveals). The filmmaker analyzes how Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth uses these techniques to create cinematic experiences, noting both strengths (visual storytelling, character dynamics) and areas for improvement (music overuse, mission padding, lighting inconsistencies). The analysis highlights how Eastern storytelling traditions (character development arcs, emotional beats, cultural elements) differ from Western approaches, and how these choices impact player engagement and immersion.

Filmmaker Reacts to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth | [ALL CUTSCENES - Part 2] | Yuffie Kisaragi is Back!!
Added:Now start really.
>> Hey guys, K here. Welcome back to another filmmaker reacts and welcome back to yet again another Final Fantasy 7 video. Today in this one is part two of us checking out all the cutscenes to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Each and every time we cover parts of this game or even the original Final Fantasy 7 remake, I am left with my mouth a gape. I am in awe. I'm completely flabbergasted. And the reason being is because you and I, we don't realize how sport we are when it comes to the storytelling, the film making techniques, the cinematics, the quality. Honestly, guys, in gaming right now, it is absolutely stunning. And honestly, this is one of the best looking games, especially the eyeball pull work I have ever seen. If you've been hanging out with me when it comes to Final Fantasy 7 remake and then going on to this, you must be bored of it by now. But I don't care if I sound like a broken record. Honestly, this game is stunning. And guess what? In part three, I'll probably say the same thing again.
You and I, we don't realize how sport we are. In the last part, I absolutely loved sort of diving into Cloud and Sephroof, the whole history chapter. I definitely think it was a great way to sort of start the game off considering at the end of Final Fantasy 7 remake, we were fighting a god. We starting out as like beating monsters and by the end of the game, you are literally fighting a god. the power status, the power scaling at the end of the last game was through the bleeding roof. And the thing is, when you end a game like that, how do you then start the next game off? You've got literally a bit of a handicap going into it. How can you start off with a game when the climax was so high? The thing is, diving back to the history, resetting the characters, playing as someone else. In this case, it was Zach, wasn't it? I think it's an absolutely brilliant way to sort of start a new game off and yeah, sort of reset the parameters of the entire story.
Absolutely marvelous. And definitely something to learn from that when it comes to characters having as I said power scaling through the roof and you sort of need to bring them back down to earth a little bit to really sort of start the story all over again because at the end of the day this is a second game isn't it or a new game entry should we say and not only that Tifa has been dropping mystery bombs completely throwing me off saying look right with Final Fantasy 7 remake I was confused enough as it is going into this game I'm even more confused but the thing is I kind of like it that's the beauty of Final Fantasy 7. That's the USP of Final Fantasy 7, the immediius rest. You know, starting the story off like halfway through or a little bit in and then having to go back all the way to beginning to sort of catch up and find out what the hell's going on. The problem is I have left with the first part. I don't even know Cloud's a human.
I don't know if there is memories or what the hell is going on. But again, I'm absolutely loving it and I cannot wait now to find out even more the history and the characters, the lore, whatever the hell is going on in this part. I'll be honest with you guys, I don't think we're going to get any more answers with this part. If anything, like most parts when it comes to Final Fantasy 7, I'm just going to end the video with even more questions. So, what will it be? Will I get more answers by the end of this video, or will I have more bloody questions? I guess the only way we're going to find out is if we watch it. Right. Invite done. Let's go show you my favorite part. Back to the world of Final Fantasy 7. Play the tape.
>> All right.
>> All right. How we getting out of here?
Oh yes, started off strong with a score.
Do you know what? The music on this I absolutely love. However, it gives me a bleeding headache. Final Fantasy 7 when it comes to copyright on YouTube. Jesus wept. The amount of disputes I've got going on. It's ridiculous.
And I imagine this one's going to give me even more one of an ed.
>> Look who it is.
>> God, look at that. And he gorgeous.
>> Hey guys, >> the teal and orange and that is gorgeous and all.
>> Y'all taking a breather or what?
>> The bridge is out.
>> Wish I was having a [ __ ] breather on those pillows.
>> Do you think you can give us a hand?
>> I don't know about the till and orange.
>> Let me see.
>> But the score on it though is so good.
Another thing that's really gorgeous is the Z axis, the texture in the air, the elevated contrast, the black levels, hilarious way it was. That's quite good.
Taking a piss out of him again.
And that's why we love the characters, the bant between them.
And that's why it almost looks photoreal sometimes is when you look at that 5,500 Kelvin tickle on them.
>> Orange 5500.
>> Two grand. And don't you forget >> so good.
>> Okay, we mean business. Why? Nothing but diagetic sound. The score's pissed off.
Went to the shops.
That means we're honing in that were jump scare. No.
Oh mate, that was badass.
Why? Cuz the camera orbited around it on a definitely on this [ __ ] something out of Pokémon like a telephoto lens. So it means the background's compressed, means the movement is more amplified within the camera, but also I think they touched as well, which means it's off this axis. Pressure unknown territory.
Something noise is coming along.
>> Whoa. Was that what Parsley brought out?
back of the lift.
>> I forgot we're actually seeing gameplay in this. We didn't in our first coverage for remake.
Getting that Dutch angle very close using the particle effects to really fill the composition in and out.
>> Damn, this sucker keeps on getting bigger and bigger. But I just means it's that much easier.
>> Not that though. The car signs look absolutely banging.
It just took it off.
>> It's quite nice and refreshing. We're playing other characters. We've got these two teams.
>> Dude, that looks amazing. I like the motion blowing it again. That in and out of the camera. That's why it looks as good as it does.
>> Oh, you go on parley.
You're about to see one hell of a light show.
>> That reminds me of um is it Shonen Jump Jump Force?
The camera's moving around that eastern style.
Nice. Up to the camera. Shake shake shake shake. Camera looking down upon it. Inferior status.
>> Fine staircase. Thank you kindly.
>> That's a mine staircase. Thank you, Callie. how he grasps his voice.
>> What took you?
>> Stumbled on a killer rock formation and couldn't tear ourselves away, right?
>> He's all perky in this game, he >> could give way at any moment. We shouldn't linger.
True, but don't forget Shinra knows we're here now. Might be more of them outside.
>> That doesn't >> Sounds like you're a fairground music.
>> I ain't stopping. Not for them or anyone.
They put the music in there cuz it's like >> happy families, isn't it?
>> Not after what we saw.
>> There's the piano. That's what I wanted.
It's like a little bit more serious or no music at all.
>> We all know what's at stake here. The fate of the world.
>> Oh, look. I'm giving a little taste of the flashback. If >> they get in our way, that's on them.
>> See, that's what I want. Nothing but diagetic sound of the world.
>> Let's get back to tailing the guys in road.
>> It's more serious. Is there our best chance of finding Sepharro?
>> Yes, I do like the gimmickiness of it, the funness. The But it did sound like we're at a theme park, didn't it?
>> Oh, is those Voldemorts?
Why are they lined up like they're waiting for a ride just then?
>> Guess so.
That's when you use the music.
>> Oh [ __ ] How big is that thing?
>> Oh my god.
>> He ain't coming back.
>> P me thought. Is that really like a taxi service or is it like mate? That [ __ ] eagle is massive.
It's that city they're headed to. Is that >> He ain't coming back.
>> Shiner territory.
>> Oh, that's nice camera on the shadow back lit. Wonderful, isn't it? And look how look at the black levels elevated.
That's why it looks real. If you're painting or doing want to show distance, that is how you do it.
>> And what it does also gives us layers and texture in our shots. It's wonderful.
Welcome to Under Junan, our sunless oasis.
My name is Rhonda. I'm the mayor and sheriff around these parts.
>> Oh, like the uh Oh, no. Does that say Native American Medall for anyone who knows >> what I see? Is it Jesse's face?
>> That depends on who's asking.
>> A woman who could turn you in and be a 100 grand richer for it.
>> The thing is like they've aged her face but not aged the eyes.
>> Can't take it with you.
>> And aith to boot, huh? That's another half a million on top.
>> M. She's hit the [ __ ] jackpot.
>> She look at Cloud not even looking >> here though. We know when to turn a blind eye.
>> Mate, my foot is going like I'm on a [ __ ] kick drum.
>> Sorry. I call [ __ ] >> Well, I don't think you would if you knew even half of what my town's been through.
You don't like it?
>> It's definitely proper out back though, isn't it?
>> God over there.
>> Look at that. You foreground element.
Quiet little inn where everyone's welcome.
>> Any guys in black robes pass through?
>> Not that I saw.
>> Says what these that they're following >> suits though. Two guys and a girl.
Looked pretty tough.
>> Well, >> we know who they are.
>> They made a beline right for the elevator.
>> Now we're talking.
>> No, don't even think about it.
>> Look where that camera's always. Even a high up shot on a jib >> is Shinra turf. And the same goes for the elevator as well.
Don't ask me what, but the company's got something big planned up there and security is tight.
You start anything, anything at all, and there will be consequences.
>> And look how pretty she looks considering, you know, she's a woman.
What? 40s?
Well, I mean, they should have aged the eyes.
>> There's got to be black robes around here somewhere. So, how we going to find >> like it's all right age in the skin >> on where they are headed. If they mean to continue, >> but she still look very pretty, didn't she?
>> Off this continent.
>> Very idles or by air, >> right? Might want to ask around town then.
>> See, look how flat cloud looks. There's no shadow on him in his eyes.
>> Stragglers pass through or got boats for rent or something.
>> How about we meet at the inn when we're done? Sounds good. And remember, low profile.
>> It's very nice, haven't it?
>> Oh, given that though, like the set designs, like the world building, it feels massive.
>> Help. Somebody, please help.
>> Oh [ __ ] What's that sword on her back?
>> Please.
>> That sword? You're some kind of fighter, aren't you? That was Priscilla. And from the sound of it, she needs a tough guy like you to lend a hand.
>> A tough guy.
>> [ __ ] pretty boy is what she needs.
And we got just the thing.
>> Now there's a monster attacking the boat.
>> Oh, and of course our gang of merry men and women are on the case >> down here.
>> May that sword will be chipping away at the stairs.
>> That sword is weird.
It's you >> still dressing provocatively for a 16-year-old.
Oh man, I wanted her in the game, but we ended her with like a [ __ ] if she was a titan. Now look at her.
Oh, look at that jangle. That thing skating around like a jet ski. What?
>> Terrible.
>> I taste terrible.
>> Oh, it's a dirty dolphin.
>> You grab his vin and hold on tight.
>> Oh, there is a beast there. I thought I saw a blue fleck.
Great bit of feather storytelling over it. It's Boris Rav Descent.
Hey, we're coming.
>> So, she joins the party, does she?
>> Get rid of that thing.
>> Focus.
>> Hey, Shin is not born.
>> Right. I want to see some We've got a little bit of Titan status on it. Some momentum shots on it. I want to see a reveal. Pour out the water. Bring the camera close and bring it out as it [ __ ] roars.
I want to feel it. The fight can be good, but the first impression has to be the most important thing. That's the thing that will give you that last impression.
There. There it is. Awesome. They cut straight to the gang a lot quicker than I anticipated.
>> I thought it should have its own little beat, but it's so important that first shot >> after the momentum shots. Momentum shots are abstract shots of it. Be it the fin, the armor, the scales, whatever it may be.
>> Bless you with your love and brain.
That must be Soulcalibur. When they do that, he is shaking it around like a [ __ ] bag of peanuts.
>> What now?
>> Or a Kinder egg.
Oh my god. How many cuts draw you on the Dutch? Jesus Christ.
They're like, let's stick a camera to a fly and imagine that fly is flying around a bit of [ __ ] It's off everywhere.
Oh, mate. We're summoning Jesus Christ. We're selling all kinds of folk on this [ __ ] Go. Is that new for this game? We didn't have that in the first one, did we?
Feels like a one of those fairy things out of uh out of Zelda or something.
>> I love the fact though, even for a beautiful fairy, he's still got a wonderful pair of titties.
And again, the empty Oh, he ain't going to ride a dolphin, is he?
Oh, he Oh, he he jumped off it, of course.
Only this [ __ ] Oh, his hair looks wet there. I was waiting for it to jump over his head.
>> Nice work.
>> Let's check on that girl. Come on.
I don't think she's breathing.
>> Hey, we need >> even like with his hair still dry, mate.
>> Even the dolphin's perving after Cloud.
>> I tell you what, it's so interesting.
It's covering a lot of >> Oh, mate. She's in world shape.
>> Don't just stand there. Help me.
>> You're on presence.
>> Got it.
Now start really.
>> Oh, only this game would do that.
>> Oh, mate. He come away like he was cupping something.
>> You picked the wrong girl, creep. What?
I say if he's going to touch >> are from the splinter >> any pair of planets >> they avalanche but left after a policy dispute >> handful for days >> easy they're guests of mine and this one was trying to save your life >> yeah not copper film >> he was >> I wonder if we're going to play on her being a little smaller, you big [ __ ] >> And her comparing herself to Tifa or something.
>> That's a coming of age you normally find in uh East.
>> Okay, Yuthi, let's get you inside.
You've had a rough day.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, interesting. The focus was [ __ ] on that.
>> Thank you very much.
>> You're welcome.
>> Not to beat that guy. The kids these days, I swear.
>> Wow, they proper deaged her. Who is that?
>> Another one of my guests. I seem to get a lot of them when the world's on fire.
>> The only in she ran at us.
>> Hey, you guys are that avalanche splinter cell right >> now. How the hell did you >> I just got to say I'm a big huge fan of yours. It wishes they could be as cool as you guys.
>> Remember what they did with Cloud in the first one, the first part of him being all energetic?
>> Cool. But >> we've seen that. That's how you sort of age a character.
>> Stunned to ask and got to thank you for before.
>> I suppose you could come by the end tomorrow.
>> Sweet. You won't be sorry. Promise.
Later. Christ, they're energetic.
Her doing that shinobi run.
>> I know. I know. She laid it on pretty thick, but hey, she >> Oh, he's a sucker for a kid. Yeah, he's a sucker, ain't he?
>> That's a dad in him.
>> She wants your autograph.
>> Come on, let's get ourselves some rooms.
>> I imagine they're going to cover a little bit of DLC of like what happened to the other geyser. what you did for that girl. Thank you so much.
Your stay is on us. We insist. It's the least we can do for you. Really?
>> Oh, thank you very much.
>> Now then, how many we got? Will four rooms be enough?
>> I bet he's [ __ ] regretting that.
>> Could you five?
>> Five it is. Oh, everything is comped.
So, if you need anything at all, just ask.
Don't know about you, but I'm dying to put my feet up. Almost made >> the place booked up again for once.
Gosh, when was the last time that happened?
>> Yeah, he's giving them out for free.
>> And the worst part is that I don't even know what's missing.
Only that something is like it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't remember.
>> Damn whispers.
>> Speaking of, you seen them lately?
Oh, Cloud's been [ __ ] eavesdropping.
>> Who's in there with you?
>> Oh.
>> Oh, sorry, Parsley.
>> Thought it was someone else.
>> Nope. I'll clear your officer.
Well, hope the rest of your patrol is just as uneventful.
>> Oh, he's on patrol, is he?
>> I don't know about you, but it feels like we've just shut the door on us. How the [ __ ] do we get back in?
>> Midgar's ancient history. I wonder how mom and Marleene are holding up.
>> One sec.
>> No time for that.
>> Who's that woman about?
>> So, a little random, but do you remember the first time we met?
>> So, if you hit No.
>> It's called a gift cloud.
>> Is that in case you didn't play the first one? You can jump back on in in on this.
And I seriously doubt you're the one who put it there.
>> Hey, I like the practicals in here.
>> You never know.
>> Their eyes are a bit flat.
>> Never regift a present from a girl, especially if you're just going to give it to another one.
>> Noted.
>> Water under the bridge. He >> did, didn't he?
>> But next time.
>> See what they're doing there? They're highlighting them with the practicals in the back.
>> Brine should come calling. I doubt I'll smell them till it's too late.
No, we'll manage.
I wish I had more shadow. Man, it feels like I have fishbones in my nose.
Especially after we've just covered like a Star Wars Jedi Survivor and >> wows with us.
>> This is beautiful, but a different beautiful >> like Tifa said your autograph >> like he looks good.
>> Burden of fame.
Mhm.
>> Oh, he's in for a big shock that way. I get that.
>> Good thing my signature is a work of art. Let me prove it to you.
>> Oh, hey.
>> Perfect timing. I was >> And that music >> just about to come find you.
>> It's so loud in the mix. Oh, yeah. I That's how they're making him look young. Would that feel like cuz you got strong hair like calm.
>> Oh, come in.
>> Don't mind if I do.
I like the shadows on that. It's very nice. Oh, he left the door open. What a gent.
>> Oh, like that. Very wide aperture.
>> Allowing more light to come in.
>> I never should have doubted you either.
>> See, this looks great. Look at the shadow on the nose.
Say, do you remember a guy named >> Nori foreground >> from Nebleheim?
>> The general store kid.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, he deepened.
>> Anyway, he left the village right before you did. Thought I'd never see him again. Then one day last year, he shows up at 7th Heaven.
I couldn't believe my eyes. He was all grown up. didn't even recognize.
>> And look at the camera trucking. That's left and right.
>> Yeah. Oh, >> from the base.
>> What's more, the woman who walked in with him was stunning. Like, >> now we're pedestaling down.
>> Been a model. And >> the way he doesn't look at her.
>> You're not interested, are you?
>> Not really, but I'm happy to listen. So, go ahead.
>> It's okay. Forget it.
Oh, look at those sexy shots showing the neck.
>> The shadow.
>> It's the music.
I feel like I got banned in here.
>> Why deny it? I guess it was. Huh?
>> Lovely dirty friend.
>> Sorry.
>> It's fine. We'll find time to talk. Just the two of us figure things out.
I know. Tell like the presents.
>> Just be ready to spill your guts, huh?
Oh, >> she's put her brave pants on >> with my iron stomach.
>> I do a lot of that overhead shot. Um, yeah, looking down at them. I think it's more of like a friendly thing. I hope she leans against that door. Oh, yes.
Good.
I mean, that means she like it's such a great way to show feelings without saying anything.
If like if she just [ __ ] off straight to the bed, you need a lay down shot there. But just the door, there's something about the symbolism of the the door. It's wonderful.
I guess he's got his own way.
For [ __ ] sake, don't invite her in.
Jesus, man. So is that TV.
>> Oh, mate. Someone let off a [ __ ] glow bomb, didn't they? Oh, good.
>> Oh, okay. Please.
>> Okay, now that the gang >> just stand on my shave arms, do you know what?
>> It's time you got to know me.
My name is Yuthi, materia hunter and elite ninja operative for the >> love the music.
>> I left my beloved home.
>> And we know this, didn't we?
>> Bring an end to Shinra's reign of terror and truth.
>> And way they get us that camera sticking to that ball.
>> See, they really kidified doing this.
>> Yep. Which brings me to that little favor I mentioned yesterday. Long story short, I want you to join me. HQ. They just didn't understand. But you guys get it.
>> She's so full of beans. They're like >> just creep around in the dark.
>> Make her move. I mean, >> we've done some [ __ ] but we ain't about to stoop that long.
>> I'm using her legs as foreground element.
>> Although that is something we do.
>> Oh, I like the fan moving.
Look at them frame within a frame.
Traveling alone so far from home is expensive.
>> So, I've been moving from town to town.
This is so funny. Scraping together enough scratch to keep sticking it to the man until that is. I came here and lucky I did because I met Rhonda. She offered me the gig of a lifetime at assassination.
>> Oh, >> and guess who?
>> Wow, look at that glow.
>> Seriously, guess.
Just spit it out already.
>> Who else but a certain company's new president? Roffus freaking Shinra. That crazy or what?
>> And the thing is, where are those those bad guys going to be in it?
>> Be here any minute now. Douchebag.
>> They're here anyway. Enjoying his fancy inauguration.
>> He's so quick. The cuts, the shots, every frame is full.
>> Country stolen from them and then their sunlight. Junan demands revenge.
>> Is that matey boy on that bike?
President steps out.
>> Oh wow.
>> And look how shallow they were on the neck.
>> Okay.
>> And the bas planning on paying me with your bounty suckers.
>> What?
>> I'm having a bit of culture shock on this.
>> The lady works fast. Well, this was fun.
See you.
>> Hey.
>> Oh, mate. The F of story tellers for the roof.
>> You're in there, my friend.
>> Oh, it's him. away. You should try to find Priscilla. She'll get you top side.
>> Now, now you don't want to make me come in there and fetch you because I would love to do it.
>> I bet you would love to do it. You dirty bastard.
>> In the ass.
>> It'll give you a pain in the ass, >> Cloud. Chop it off.
>> Be waiting.
Absence certainly makes the heart grow fonder, my friend.
>> Oh, they've dled him up a bit in there.
No.
>> Still playing hard to get it. Well, I've got news for you, young man.
As if I think the speed demon has been entrusted with a singular task one day.
>> Uh, me.
Oh, look at this. D shallow clouds stepping in front of them. I love that.
>> They went out of focus.
>> You got to go for me, [ __ ] >> I like to go big and a venue this small just won't do.
>> Oh, that's good.
>> No need to worry. I found the perfect stage.
>> What a buildup.
>> The city of you and I go big.
>> Where we can dance up a storm. Sig me out and we'll put our last performance to shame with a show none shall ever forget.
>> I like the momentum on that camera punch in >> after when we were covering all like Final Fantasy. We've covered a lot of eastern games on the channel recently and I kind of got used to the culture >> to get top side. Right. Let's go find her.
>> Because we've covered so many western games recently as well as movies.
>> That Shinra nut job.
>> I'm having like a bit of a culture shook on it.
>> Second we did that for you. The slime ball who sold us out.
>> Take it. Not much, but it's yours.
>> The hell's this supposed to be?
>> Thought that's Gil.
>> Your bounty. Part of it. Anyway, you thought I'd put you through the ringer like that without making it worth your while. We're on the same side, >> mate. Didn't she get like near 400 grand or something?
>> What if biker boy had taken us in?
>> Then I would have had to improvise, but I didn't cuz it all worked out. Worked out fine.
>> Look how much this camera moves.
>> Didn't think you'd still be hanging around.
>> I kind of wish we kept this theord.
>> I like that sword. Think I could put you to work? The remainder of your bounty? I need it delivered to someone. I've already got a porter picked out, too.
>> I say, I knew that dog had something to do with it.
>> Salmon.
>> Since he'll be the one making the drop, it's your job to get him there safe.
>> Doesn't seem like too much of a hassle, but >> who exactly radio money for?
>> My son. Haven't seen him in a spell. Not since he left town and never looked back.
>> Oh, he's making my [ __ ] go hands of him. He's a grown man. Can't be clinging to his mom's skirts or her pocketbook.
>> What will you do?
>> The crow's nest. Boy got sick of living under this steel sky. And my thumb, I suppose.
>> Look at that camera always moving. Why?
>> It's cinematic. What does cinema mean?
>> Kind of sad being honest. If you're going to run away, at least go somewhere interesting. Don't halfass it.
>> 70% of the picture is sound.
>> What I said, >> can't afford my brain struggling with this >> his [ __ ] >> I raised him best I could. Gave him every advantage. But he's got to learn to stand on his own two feet.
>> I wish that radio would [ __ ] off and run out of batteries. Now, don't I, Sam?
>> Take the job.
>> Once you make it to the crow's nest, find Toby. He'll make sure you get the reward I promised. But if I find a single hair out of place on Sam, you won't live to enjoy it. You keep my boy safe.
Like even a mission like this, I said in the last part, I feel like this game is like >> like about 10,000 side quests that wants to get you is going to have to go through me.
>> But that's the charm of an eastern game.
They're like they want you that music What the [ __ ] A sandstorm Drake.
Okay.
Like, I worry that this game's got so many side quests. But again, that's the charm of it. They're like, "Guys, we want you in on this game.
Not for your 60 hours, 160 hours." Like, they want you fully invested on it. They want you to be like, I don't know if it's like bad padding cuz it's probably >> It's fun, isn't it? You playing the game.
>> What are you doing here?
Came all this way and you're still full of energy.
>> I bet is why we've been killing Drake.
>> Know you?
>> We're Sam's bodyguards. Your mom hired us to keep him safe and to make sure her boy got his allowance.
>> Keep it. I ain't taking her money. I can make ends meet on my own.
>> Who are they? Dylan, friends of yours.
>> Claire, what are you doing out of bed?
You know you need to stay off your feet.
I know you can't.
>> Her son's been busy.
>> I can't accept that.
>> Just make sure Sam gets home safe for me.
>> You really are your mother's kid. Got our stubbornness and everything. Have it your way.
>> Make me make ends meet on his end. You should have [ __ ] wrapped it, mate. or he tapped it.
>> This is a fortune.
>> If you really don't want it, I'll take it off your hands. But as a parent, I'm sure you want to give your kid the best life you can. And in my experience, that don't come cheap. Think it over.
>> See, it's nice, isn't it? Like, it's lovely. The little story that they're doing here, the little side mission.
>> We'll take it.
Dester was looking for you, dude.
>> Toby, >> sorry. Got a little tied up. Hang on.
Avalanche Honda said I might run into you.
>> Avalanche?
>> Wait, you mean they're the ones who blew up those reactors?
The superstars themselves. I just want to say it is such an honor to meet you.
>> Everyone's meeting at the front [ __ ] door.
>> While you're here, think I could ask you for a favor? Sure, why not?
>> Situation added to the shopping list taken care of.
>> Yep, it's all good.
>> Excellent.
>> Like, it's a lovely little story.
>> Why don't we step in that?
>> Right this way.
>> Oh, look. Some other geese are there now. Why aren't they lying?
>> The situation. There's this big lighthouse down by the Cape, and someone calling themselves the Merc of Junan has turned it into their hideout or something.
>> A Merc. But I know for what I would enjoy this guy.
>> No, >> I don't mind doing side missions like this.
>> Anyway, >> long not just fetch quest. That used to piss me off.
>> Used to go up there all the time and just chill, but it's too dangerous with all the monsters around. And that merc hasn't done a thing about them. Then again, I've not played it for all the hours that you have. Convince >> that to help us out. Might >> be tired.
>> I'd love to know what the reviews were on this feedback. and all throughout the grasslands allegedly that is. And like if they're so paging was an issue good, then why aren't they doing anything now?
>> Yo, mate, >> they definitely need the music.
>> You know, I just knew I could count on you, >> mate. That I can't believe how much these [ __ ] cameras moving.
>> So, you going to help or >> me? You can sniff out trouble?
>> Yeah, Parsley. I suppose that does make me the most suitable candidate.
>> Oh, pro tip. If you ever get the chance knockoff, >> you might even catch a glimpse of the great Condor if you're lucky. If you're into that kind of stuff >> very quickly when I s I saw Condor come up before he said he said it and part of me was like I swear it said condom >> of you know than you are.
>> Oh my gosh, Cloud >> Curier.
And then the go to shouts, the man for the south.
>> Um, just a little business venture.
Grandma went off on another one of her tira I'd make a killing outside the city so I could rub it in her face.
I've got it. Why don't you come work for me? I could use it.
>> Mate, what is this [ __ ] done to the music?
>> Not in a million years. And quit calling yourself a merc. You're giving the real ones a bad name.
What even is a murder? Nobody is his sister or something. And >> besides, >> cousin, >> arguably this whole mess can be laid at your feet, mister.
>> I came all the way out to Junon to strike it rich, but nobody knows we're here or even that we exist. Zero publicity, which means zero clients. I mean, this is business 101.
>> I like her outfit, though. She's cute.
Since you suck so bad at self-promotion, I had to pick up the slack and come up with an ad campaign. But like, >> mate, his eyes were proped out.
>> What's your brand? Tall, blonde, and not interested. Sounds like a one-way ticket to bankruptcy to me.
>> Allergies. Allergies.
>> Shut up. This thing can talk.
>> Indeed.
Oh, look at him stepping away. Aren't you just the most adorable boy?
>> Well, he walked back forward.
>> Hey, you know, I've always wanted a pet of my own. Come here. Come to mama.
>> I step back even more. So, the camera followed him.
>> Yikes. Okay, scratch that.
>> Is the music always this loud in a game?
>> Anyway, as I was saying, I'm putting in all this work for us, yet we haven't managed to bring in a single customer.
And if we don't get bit dirty from him.
>> Your CEO and PR head is as good as done.
But not to worry, I put my creative skills to work and came up with this, did he?
>> Mate, they love a dialogue on this, don't they? Which is very, you know, quite quite an eastern thing.
>> They slimers or grimers, whatever they're called, from Pokémon.
But because the cuts are so quick, dirty framing it, the flow of the camera, wonderful. It keeps our eyes engaged.
>> Nothing to do with it.
>> But at the same time, >> it's how they're getting away with it.
>> After all, nobody knows how to take down monsters like a merc.
>> So hire yourself. You're pro, aren't you?
>> Come on, don't be petty. Oh, I'll even give you some of these. homework and so very nice.
>> Wait, our lives are in as much danger as hers now. We have to fight.
>> The [ __ ] is going on with this music? I bet you it's copyrighted.
>> Might have to strip the audio out somehow.
>> Damn, Final Fantasy, you're killing me over here.
>> Oh, [ __ ] You're big.
You know, can we call you the devil team?
>> Damn.
>> I feel like if I was going to play this game, I would have to be like, "Right, I ain't doing nothing else for about another year."
Man, we got a lot of summonings going on, aren't we?
>> Well, to be fair, we didn't really see a lot of the gameplay part when it came to remake, so they new to this one.
>> Oh, that's wonderful. Hide it in the smoke. Let the particle effects come out. I'll pay you back.
>> Glad that's over.
And now I know why I wasn't getting any customers. Nobody could get past all those uglies.
>> I'm glad you learned.
>> This feels very >> Oh well, >> it feels cheap down. I don't want to sound offensive.
>> Anyway, I'm going to slip, but I'm sure you can take it from here. Catch you later, fellow.
>> Hey, >> she's a cool want to leave with mama.
Come on. You know you do.
Like the camera's very wide. The camera just sort of >> panned over to her as she walked along.
You >> are my worst enemy.
>> You and me both.
>> My dudes.
>> I saw the monsters headed your way.
>> I couldn't help but worry.
>> But it looks like I worried for nothing.
>> I don't know if it's the person is left more in this video than the others.
>> She moved on.
Bummer. Well, guess we should get this place cleaned up.
>> I probably would have liked that. So, >> yeah, Ronda do merc work on the side, too. For real.
>> I can't believe you didn't say anything.
Best buds don't keep secrets, you know.
>> But I hope you'll lend me a hand the next time I >> Where's that bird going?
>> Oh, he's kind of picking up. Even the [ __ ] bird's got aviators on.
>> Care to join us, young lady? We've got a lovely breeze blowing today.
>> You certainly do. So, what are you all looking at?
>> We're on the lookout for the great condor.
We try to catch sight of it every time it takes flight. Make sure it's in good health and all that. It's not really a danger to people, but its hunger can drive it to hunt larger prey.
>> Let's just hope it never develops a taste for us.
>> Surely you've seen our newsletter, haven't you? Well, >> it's filled with fun facts about our beloved bird. I'm quite proud of it.
>> Sir, I don't think the condor is going to show today.
>> Maybe we should head back.
>> Mate, look at this [ __ ] Ken looking bastard.
>> That bird's got me a bit worried.
Haven't seen it in a fair while now.
>> I wonder if we should have given it something to eat after all.
>> Perhaps I put a post up on the notice board.
>> He looks like a a decent old boy.
Well, if you're still looking for volunteers, we'd be more than happy to help.
>> Well, a lot of volunteer jobs on this.
>> Turn down such an offer.
>> It's a grand old bird. Makes its nest in a small island just a stones throw from here. Even save. Is there a reason why that bird land if you can believe it?
>> The condor was looking out for me that day. So, I thought I should start looking out for it. keep tabs on its well-being and whatnot.
>> Yeah, almost running from some Shinra troopers when one of them got me in the back. I fell to the ground.
>> I thought I was done for until that bird snatched me up and flew me to the next town over.
>> Oh, maybe didn't kill that.
>> If it mistook me for supper, >> I never managed to regain the use of my legs, unfortunately. But I feel my spirits soar when I watch that condor fly. I may be stuck here, but at least they're still free.
>> He sounds like an older person. I like it when an actor got a rasp on it. Bit >> tried to feed it before, but it seems to prefer catching its own prey. If something smelled enticing enough though, it might be moved to come and take a closer look. I suspect.
>> Accept his request.
>> I appreciate it. One of the Condor's favorite hunting spots is in the woods nearby. You'll need a chocoo that can manage the climb to get there. It's pretty tough.
>> There should be a chocobo trotting around the ranch somewhere. Maybe have a look over there.
>> What happened to our one that looked like us?
Bill.
Oh, you got to [ __ ] sneak to chuck a bow.
And the music's so playful.
Look at this dirty little [ __ ] Thomas tank engine moving about.
Gotcha.
Is that train going to keep going around?
Two golden plums plumes.
What are they doing with his fill light and his eyes?
Not great, dude. I thought literally we had to fight the cow.
I was like, Jesus, we're fighting a new now.
Oh, can that [ __ ] the chocoo trap?
[ __ ] Like, we just saw like a death of a cow.
And like it it got stuck to its feet like it was on magnets. And the music was [ __ ] what I was going to say is the dragon designs are like the creep designs are really bloody good. You're going in.
>> It's giving me Yu-Gi-Oh vibes. That one can tell level one. What do you do now?
Did we hook the cow up or was it truly [ __ ] >> I guess that answered that one.
>> Oh, you're back. Hope it wasn't too much trouble. You can put the food right over there. Thank you.
>> The sound of it. You didn't see it, but the sound of it.
>> I've never seen that other color. Are you sure it's safe for consumption?
>> I don't know where it was. It was like some sort of shelf the way they used it as a foreground element to lead her eyes. Sometimes you that's all you need just to give you the layers.
>> Got to say it's kind of nice and seeing a blue sky.
>> The wilderness vibe, the the outback or the Native Americanness that they're trying on this game.
>> We had the first one was so citybound, wasn't it? But you know your limits out here. It's endless. I kind of get what Aith was saying now.
>> Yeah.
>> Shadow open.
>> Hey, look.
What a sight. I never dreamed I'd be able to see it up close like this.
>> Look at that camera punching. It's an important moment to the characters.
>> Wait, we have to get a photograph. Grab the camera.
>> Hold the flash. Don't scare it off.
Gather around everyone quickly. Quickly.
>> Say cheese.
>> Oh my god. They're >> so snap. Any good shots, >> mate? She's got a [ __ ] disposable camera that takes digital >> my camera.
>> Really? Couldn't tell from a shot like this.
>> I thought she was like he was like, "Get a shot of the bird." Not like with a William in it.
>> I hope Hot Wheels are facing the right way.
>> Well, I haven't looked this happy since I was a lad. It's precious moments like these that make Condor watching so exhilarating. You never know what to expect. Well, scouts, let's finish writing up today's report and start preparing for our next fateful encounter.
>> Sir. And hopefully next time we'll be able to snap a clear picture of that bird, >> sir. Miss, I'd like you to have this as a souvenir.
>> Clear picture of the bird.
>> Nice face, Cloud.
>> Oh, hey you guys.
>> We talked to Yui.
>> Like, wow. Look how good she looks. I don't mean like that. Just the skin, the lighting, >> the shadow work, the shallow dep and easiest way into the city.
>> Maybe it's cut away uh to break her, separate her from the water perhaps or how the gra the engine control room.
>> It's like a filter >> so we can repurpose the ship as an elevator.
>> They definitely use the music as like padding as well, don't they?
Problem is, how are we supposed to get to the controls?
>> High voltage.
>> Yep. It should just say no climbing.
>> So, we're stuck.
>> Not what barbecue.
>> You wouldn't believe what he can do.
>> Like like when we met.
>> Look at that. Look at that [ __ ] >> Swim all on my lonesome. At least I thought I was alone. But then, squeak squeak, I hear this funny noise.
>> That's great and all, but we're in a hurry.
>> Hey, we're sorry. Really, but we'll make sure to come back as soon as we're done. You can finish your story then. How does that sound, >> mate? Even promise.
>> Never done it before.
>> I love panning out, didn't I? Never even talked about it.
>> Oh, gotcha.
Awesome.
>> Quite cute there, isn't it?
>> Very quiet.
>> Now we ask Mr. Dolphin to get you up.
With his help, it'll be a cinch.
>> The way that dolphin's flipping the barrel over the gaff.
>> Okay, which one of you wants to go flying?
>> So, they dutched it. That angle's Dutch as it looked as it tilted up to that boat thing.
>> You've written all over it, M.
I love these transitions.
>> Yes, it's me.
>> Great. Just let me know when you're ready to go.
>> You we not be returning for quite some time.
So, what we on our Todd for a while?
Oh, man. We got a [ __ ] like wave race going on.
Wow, that's impressive looking. Nice motion blur. I love the wet down look obviously cuz it's water.
Oh man, this is so eant, but I love it.
Oh god, they've even got like a music [ __ ] game in it at all.
Nice shot, man.
10, the music.
I don't remember it being like this.
This game's got again. Then I had two weeks out from Final Fantasy and my eyes the culture shock either that or they've dialed it up on this part.
It probably was always there. I think the first one had a little bit more serious tone to it where I feel like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a is a little bit more, >> you know, just looking at the outfit >> right here.
>> More >> the ship's not far, so you'll be there in no time. Holidayesque.
>> If we don't sink on the way, >> man. That Echo [ __ ] is cute as sin.
Oh, look at Parsley there. Bless him.
Oh, is he scared of water?
>> Careful.
Oh, you clumsy oath.
M as a [ __ ] house broke through a window, isn't he? That boy.
>> Well, guys and girls and a dog. I'll see you later.
>> Like, what a closeup.
>> You didn't need that closeup, but they did it just to show you the momentum of them.
They're going to wave to it.
Hey, M.
>> Good to go down here.
>> Hey, M.
>> Guys, you have to let me know. That's the the proper score. Obviously, this guy or gal, whoever's m put this video together, it's very Oh, look at them. Look, take control of the camera subtly punching in. Just subtly. It's nice, isn't it?
Just exercise your eyes will get bored.
But by pushing in and going up.
>> Meet you at the top.
>> And look at that. Making him look like he's going faster by pedestalling.
I feel like something bad's grabbing him. Like he's having a funny turn.
No. It's interesting.
Okay. Now I feel like the story is kicking in again, especially with the size of that cannon.
Oh, see that little subtle black speck there? Oh, this is nice. Oh, yes. [ __ ] me. Sideways. This is what I've been waiting for.
Oh, goodness gracious me. Look at this lovely, beautiful trucky shot. Still obvious axis framing helicopter come down. Lovely long shadows. Very nice.
Wow.
How real did his skin look?
And look at the black levels in their eyes. That's what I want in the game play.
Who have I got to bend over to get that?
You could fully cut the black then.
Now look at that. You can't see that dog or cat's [ __ ] because he's black.
It's, you know what I mean? Lost of detail. Fine. But he looks wonderful.
Yeah. Look at these. Look at them with their pop idol eyes. They're about to go on the stage and sing their new release.
Less security than I thought.
more worried about the parade. Huh?
>> Guess things have changed. They got higher priorities.
>> Personally, I think that's a good thing.
>> The city's size, on the other hand, >> I know it sounds dark, but >> men won't be easy to find.
They're definitely not here.
>> Well, that's better. That's nice.
>> Let's head into town.
>> Don't have to be really dark in the sh in the eyes, but that's something that I definitely look out for.
>> That is >> the high.
>> And the reason why I don't like pride and joy, >> no one's going to see them. most advanced airship in fleet.
>> Screw the boat. Let's take that.
>> Unless you got a trained crew and piloting skills we don't know about.
We're sticking with the boat.
>> That's too bad. Would have been perfect.
>> They had to be just walking about like that.
>> Look at that carpet all [ __ ] up as well. Devil in detail, baby. Look at that. Oh my lord. Now we're cooking.
>> We'll leave them be for now.
They are aware of them.
See, that's fine. Like a little bit more darkness on his eye, on his internal >> cuz look, look how even that light is.
Looks wrong.
>> An emissary from Wuai is here. Sent by Viceroy Suf.
Oh.
>> Oh, introduce yourself as Colonel Glenn Lrock.
Oh, wonderful. Look at this [ __ ] Nice seia.
>> All right.
>> Not quite a match cut.
Oh, he looks different from the other Voldemorts.
Looks like he's trimmed up his beard for starters.
Give me that face reveal. Oh, we're doing it from afar. Interesting.
That's what I was expecting as the hood came down.
I thought you were dead.
Then you thought, right?
>> I feel like it's a better looking version of me.
Let's cut to the chase, Mr. President.
>> The vice >> and I had like a better hairline.
>> Father had big plans. I assume you intend to carry the >> How dare they use my likeness.
>> Correct.
>> That's good to hear.
>> They should have done that reveal of his face as he took the hood off.
And this battle for the Magnus materia demands commitment from both Wuai and Shinra.
>> Thank you. I'm aware.
But my father is dead, which changes the equation.
>> And look at the way they've look how bleak he looks to his color.
>> You always did prefer to march to the beat of your own drum.
>> This new vision include your promised land.
>> It's like putting your [ __ ] feet on it without putting your feet on it.
>> You take and you take, you never give back.
>> Oh, look at all that negative. Even though it's technically leading cuz he's the actor, the model is looking that way.
>> This world would end up an empty husk.
>> Oh, lovely shallow depth of field. Dirty frame as it punches in. But war can keep right be anger, desolation, hatred, and in its wake, new unity, a people rejuvenated, and a planet once more made whole.
>> Wow, look at that. Look at the [ __ ] potholes on his face. Like looking at a crumpet. I love it.
>> What we're doing is for the greater good. Just got to know when to ease off the gas.
>> Now listen.
Oh, look at that frame within the hand.
You >> started this. Remember, no more playing the idle heir. You have obligations to fulfill.
Let's give the people what they deserve.
>> Everyone's got a very stylistic beard, though, haven't they?
>> Oh, right. Before I leave, a message from the viceroy.
>> Why is he dressed up like one of the Voldemorts, though? Congratulations on your inauguration, Mr. President. Shinra has a bright future.
>> Oh, look at that really big ruler. You can tell by looking for his brow.
He don't get flying two figs about him, does he?
Oh, wonderful. Look at this [ __ ] Not here. Not here. Here.
>> Excellent. Well, at least I Well, if I ever decide one day if I can ever afford one of those hair transplant things that are popular nowadays, at least I know what I look like.
>> God damn.
>> Now, I know what y'all going to say. But I got to ask >> what the music.
>> If Roffus is in town, are we >> playing Pokémon opportunity pass us by?
Hell, I'm not saying we kill a man, but we >> have been playing Leaf Green recently.
>> Rough them up a little, maybe. You know, >> actually, I'm going to have to agree.
>> And what he's doing is he's taking the seriousness away.
>> Do whatever. We're not after you. But then Cloud's biker buddy rolls up and says he is. We got to straighten this out.
>> Okay, but how? We can't just walk up to the president in the street.
Why have they decided to do this? That's what I'm really interested in.
>> Or maybe we can.
>> We bust up his parade.
>> No.
>> Maybe they wanted to give you a different vibe from the first game.
>> Like a bunch of dumb asses. The city's crawling with Shinra troopers.
We join the parade. Hide in plain sight.
>> It definitely makes me feel like we're in a different area, not in Midgard.
>> Get close. Get answers.
>> Seriously?
>> Sure.
>> Wow. That's good.
>> I hope we get a [ __ ] Tifer in a blue outfit again or something >> similar.
>> You guys find a route to the port. See what security's like.
>> And keep an eye out for black robes while you're at it.
>> Now, hold on.
>> I bet you any money won't be enough to disguise you two.
>> We see a beach shot or something.
Remember, I said this is like an holiday, so I'm expecting some sort of vacation thing.
>> True enough.
>> Shut up.
See you. That >> be very sort of Japanese. Find a uniform.
Oh, we're coming with.
>> I'm so pumped for this.
>> This way.
>> Yeah, >> you're coming with them. And he's coming on.
>> The ceremony will be starting >> now. We're talking.
>> It's a [ __ ] music.
>> They're actually kind of cool. Well, ready to suit up. Yep.
Oh, mate. Please tell me it gives you the option to have a little piece.
>> Steps back if you please.
>> You can keep your one shut. I'm on I'm on the left.
Oh, yes, of course. the beginning of the game.
Oh, then again, any holes a goal. So, >> why is his eyes so low compared to the others?
Well, >> I thought those bits were meant to be over the eyes.
>> You got me.
>> I'd say we look apart.
>> Maybe.
>> Is that because they don't want you to lose their eyes? Because that emotive, remember, we need the eyes to evoke that emotion. It's how we connect with characters. And I think they're scared of losing cuz when you look at the other, I always call them the Cronis Corp. They look like something out of Gver. Their eyes are pitch black. Not like that.
>> It's the damnest thing. But I don't recall seeing the three of you at practice.
>> Oh, I like his voice.
>> Am I to assume that you simply forgot?
>> Sorry, sir.
Sorry, sir.
>> You're sorry?
Do you have any idea?
>> We This is a [ __ ] different game. Is >> Do you maggot?
>> Form check. Now you will give your commander a flawless.
>> My mouth's a gape.
>> And if you show her anything less than perfection, I'll feed your ass to a behemoth.
I love his voice.
>> Now what?
>> He got right in the roll in. Just follow my lead.
>> I still remember the basics.
>> I love the fact that he stepped up though.
>> What are you doing over there? THE COMMANDER IS WAITING.
>> SIR, >> MATE, they're all a bunch of [ __ ] diff. God damn. Who's that in the red?
>> That's it. Music. [ __ ] off. You've got guts skipping out on practice.
That or you're idiots, >> man. She's a big [ __ ] >> Let's find out, shall we? I'm not about to take any chance. I wonder how long it takes to shave her legs.
>> I'm warning you now, though. One flip up and I'll chuck you straight into a Malbero's mouth.
>> Clear.
As I always say, the blondes catch your eyes, but the brunettes, they keep it.
>> Let's see what you've got now.
>> And the gingers.
Oh, they light up the bedroom.
If you would have said to me this is Final Fantasy 7, other than the visuals and the characters, I don't think I'd believe you. It feels like a different game altogether.
Like, it's lovely. It's wonderful for what it is and what it wants to do.
But then again, the second part on Final Fantasy remake when we're in the tournament arc had the same vibe.
>> Keep it up.
>> Oh, a bit early there, weren't they?
How the [ __ ] did they know that?
See, for me, it's always about being grounded. Oh, I like that foreground element. What they using there as a foreground? Quickly, tell me.
It's the floor. Precise, clean movements. Impeccable timing.
>> Well, the thing is he's got the eyes of a soldier, isn't he?
>> I must say, you've impressed me.
>> You serve as a sterling example to the others, man.
>> I like these whip cuts. These shallow depth field. They're going to make him do that in front of the others.
ratulations. You are hereby promoted to parade captain of Midgar's seventh infantry.
>> As the camera punches in, good reaction from them, too.
>> Our model trooper, the one to march at the head of our drill team.
>> Oh, look at that. They dutched it not because out of uncertainty, just to elongate the shot.
>> Otherwise, is now your responsibility.
>> Ma'am, mate, her eyes are beautiful.
Canel >> tighter than a nuns bit.
>> That parade captain, you will round up your fellow troopers currently on leave in Larore Juice.
>> You will recall that. To march in the parade, each drill team is required to muster five units or more.
>> Look for the seventh Brasards. They'll identify the best from the rest.
Once assembled, you and the team to Starboard Juno.
>> This is a repeat of the first game. If you're looking at different arcs, >> this is the the silly arc or the comedy arc.
>> But they can't copy what they did with the first tournament arc. This is different. But I don't hate it. I just >> about this is the parade really going to get >> and so what happens is when we get to that jition of it being really serious or something taboo, it's going to hit.
The president himself gives >> like a proper gut punch, wouldn't you?
And you're going to love it.
>> Plan. I mean, it's frisky, but got to go big or go home, right?
>> With the music, though, I feel like I'm about to watch like some sort of Disney Home Alone sort of shenanigans.
I'm waiting for the wet bandits to [ __ ] fall out the window or something.
>> Ready to rally the troops, Captain?
>> Yeah. Just remember, Midgar, the seventh infantry. Anyone with one of these guys, right?
>> Come on.
>> I love the idea of us walking about as a troop enjoy the view.
>> [ __ ] gorgeous though. That that bit.
>> Captain.
>> Oh, >> see, look at their eyes.
>> Captain, >> get your [ __ ] together.
>> Yeah, look.
>> It's about to begin. Everyone follow me.
>> Yes, sir.
>> So, that's true. what I said. It's about eye contact and you'd lose it if your eye if the eyes weren't there. You wouldn't connect >> so I can get in there.
>> It's too long to not see our eyes of our heroes.
>> That's a nice camera.
>> Whenever you're ready, sir.
>> That'll do. [ __ ] it. Bit bit more less head room, please.
>> Oh, but then again, you got a board on it.
>> Wow, Captain. Who knew you were such a pro? I might just have to frame this.
>> Break time's over, people. The parade's about to begin. Follow me. Yes, sir.
>> He's got a bit of sponge on the top of his head.
>> Like at the very beginning of the game, right, we looked at Oh, maybe a captain [ __ ] up there.
>> Hey there. Uh, I was just checking my uniform for y'all know how it is.
I should have known.
>> Very funny. I could have shot you.
>> You look what?
>> Wow.
>> It's not like I had a choice. Nothing else.
>> They must have had the music up. The music was a bit less. I think I'd enjoy it more.
>> Anyway, I've checked out the way to the >> Let me know down below what the [ __ ] going on with this music. It's way too loud.
>> Look like you're here. Done that. Nobody's better than I.
>> We're going to win the president's commendation.
>> I'm sure you will.
>> I'm sure you will.
>> Think you mean I'm rooting for you?
>> Well, let me guess. You're here for the limited model, too.
>> Check the helmet, you [ __ ] >> Check the helmet, you [ __ ] >> Please forgive me.
>> You see the way they're making time's over.
>> They whip the camera out ever so slightly. Is that just a bit of movement?
>> Sir.
>> Um, >> I love how there's like little models in it.
>> Captain.
>> Oh, [ __ ] >> Quick.
>> Attention.
>> Get your [ __ ] together. Parade's about to begin. Everyone.
>> Oh, I see you're rounding up everyone, aren't you? Of course you are. And they're all in their different areas.
>> Captain, perfect.
>> Captain, I'm picking out a present for my girlfriend. Which do you think she'd like more? The machine gun brooach or the bayonet one?
>> Don't bother your [ __ ] ass. Get out there. He's being an idiot.
>> RNR's over, people. Seven. Outside.
>> Yes, sir.
>> God, I bet this takes an hour and a bit to uh achieve all this.
>> Can we help you? We're kind of in the middle of something.
>> Check the helmet, >> Captain. I I didn't I'm sorry.
>> Okay. Every single group needed someone else to say check the helmet.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Mate, why are they all Why are they all dumb?
>> A How'd you know it was us?
>> Smell your scent.
>> That is dumb nose you got there, Red.
>> I would expect nothing less of my parley has done wonders for my faculties, even though this place is starting to take its toll.
All right.
If I saw that, I' i'd want to go in just to see what what sort of [ __ ] show I'm about to watch.
Looks like something you'd see in Amsterdam or something.
and make it shine.
>> I was expecting to see like some sort of man. They all look like [ __ ] Maven mix of stone colds in there.
>> Rude. You mind?
This your first time?
>> Hey, you look familiar. trade with us.
You're going to have to lose the helmets.
No scout, no service.
>> It's like one of those filler episodes in an anime.
>> What are you waiting for?
>> I got a pair of nice clean ass cheeks, though.
>> Are you three mop heads?
>> Wait, he's our new captain. He didn't know, >> mate. They're going to [ __ ] dance, aren't they? Sir, this place is for the clean shaven. You need to prove that you belong or leave.
>> That's right. I came with you. Get the [ __ ] out.
>> RNR's over, people.
>> Yeah, good.
>> Outside, >> sir. Right away, sir.
>> Please tell me you don't have to put a board cap on later on or go in there to do a mission.
>> Uh, excuse me, but we're in the middle of an interview.
>> Oh [ __ ] it's the captain.
Uh, >> I guess to be fair, he's the new captain. They wouldn't know.
>> Perfect. If you have a moment, I'd love to ask you some questions about the parade.
>> I bet that's a Sony camera.
>> Sorry, but >> how do you say at the beginning of the game >> from the competition?
>> They look like fierce warriors. Fierce, don't cross them. They will screw you up. And the severity was there was serious.
>> Right. I see what you mean, Captain. We can't go spilling our secrets to anyone who asks, especially on camera. Break time's over, people. The parade's about to begin. Follow me, sir.
>> Well, I don't get that at all with this game.
>> Captain, I didn't realize. Sorry, sir.
>> Perfect. Okay, >> over time for the real deal with me.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Mate, how many have you got to do? I thought we said we had to do five. I feel like we've done about 400 of the [ __ ] things.
>> Sir, permission to ask a question. What formations do you intend to utilize for our performance?
>> Uh, that depends on the readiness of my men, but you can rest assured that your captain has everything under control.
>> Is that clear? Now out, >> sir. Yes, sir.
Was that like meant to be like um not a Warhammer but like tabletop gaming?
Midgar 7 infantry attention.
>> Oh wow, look how polished that looks and how expo overexposed it is in the highlights. At that time of day, you'd have more shadow across his cheeks across here. It looks so much nicer. But again, they don't want to [ __ ] up that idol look.
>> We'll be watching us.
>> Now, I like the music.
>> Very hanzimmerresque. Very big.
>> And we cannot we will not let our great city of Midgar down.
Failure is not an option.
It's a big ask, but we can do it together because we have our captain to guide us.
Look to him, trust in him, and he will lead us to victory so long as we follow.
>> I love the uh I love the subtext there, the story in the story.
>> Uh right now, >> don't tell us that. Tell them.
>> And they're zooming in out of the [ __ ] camera, punching in, punching out. It was made for the secondary. We will win that commenation for our city.
>> Thought they could have made this look so much nicer.
>> Return home as champions.
>> Even though it's lovely, sir.
>> But yeah, even more so. Like look at them. Look how much nicer they look.
>> Who's going to show the rest of them HOW IT'S DONE?
>> WE ARE.
>> I can't hear you.
>> We are.
Captain, the parade's about to start.
>> He started getting into it then.
>> Of course.
>> He stepped back into his old ways then, didn't he?
Okay, now we're talking. This is more my cup of tea.
>> When did we last use her?
>> 5 years ago, sir.
>> Let's blow off the dust.
>> 5 years ago. That's when everything went [ __ ] ceremonial display would constitute a violation of the ceasefire.
Wuai would view what is a willful act of aggression.
>> So be it.
>> And it's a new era. Let's ring it in with a bang.
>> Very good, sir. Very good.
>> Like fireworks to rouse the spirits.
>> Mr. President, it's time. This is why this game looks like a movie when they're doing this [ __ ] That camera moving, the shallow depth field, racking focus when it needs to.
See, it's always moving. It makes the trajectory look like it's going fast as well.
>> Damn.
>> Yeah.
>> Cool. Blime me. This is stepped up. But look at the shadows. That is why >> looks like it's real, doesn't it?
>> As you can see, the streets of Junan are a buzz with excitement.
>> I can tell you right here and now, this music is going to cause a glimpse of the new Shinra.
>> And here comes Midgar's mobile unit.
Their incredible skills are truly exciting.
>> Wow, look at that.
And look, these bikes even got weight on it.
I wait for a kid to be like, I want to be one of them.
>> Oh, look at him.
This looks very nice. Look at the confetti. There is a foreground element.
>> Rufus Shinra. Wow. Can you even hear me over this crowd?
Uh, the president has stopped.
>> Oh, look at that. [ __ ] edged it. Back lit.
>> Whoa, look at the action powder. Music's pissed off. Digetic sound. It sounds serious. We're dialed in.
>> Ready to fire, sir.
>> Welcome to the new world order. NWO >> fire.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, >> with a single blast of Jun's famous cannon, Rufus Shinra has announced his arrival.
>> Whoa, look at like he looks like a very expensive movie.
And is that matey boy? Is it? Oh, he's not so fair there.
Got more mousy blonde.
>> You join us in Starboard Jun as the final team of the day takes their position. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Vidgar's >> the captain and his team >> only this game determined to win the president. give you a massive undercover >> theme to see what kind of performance they'll put on today.
>> Troopers of the seventh infantry make us proud.
He's got his face formation change.
>> It all looks a little stiff.
>> Oh, look at them giving like a little running commentary.
It looks so stiff, but then it looks effortless.
>> I can't take my eyes off them.
>> Final sequence.
>> Looks nice. All the long shadows. End of day, golden hour.
>> Using the shadows in the background, really darken to play on the Z axis.
Give us depth. There foreground. You got the main ground, which is the building, and the shadows in the back are the background. See? Oh, they're using the HUD elements there as foreground.
They're in perfect sink.
>> Oh, we went too early.
>> That's unfortunate.
>> Oh, do we dig it up?
>> Difficulty three. First performance.
>> That concludes the first part of today's performance by the Seventh Infantry Drill Team. Our judgment.
>> You even got a social media ranking from you, the viewers. And here they are.
Now, frankly, I'm already blown away.
And folks here seem very nice.
>> The crowd is loving it.
>> The only question is how they're going to top this.
>> And that's what we want.
>> Drill team.
First sequence begin.
>> They're doing quite well.
>> That looks wonderful, doesn't it? Camera coming around a nice long take, letting the camera take us on the trajectory like this. Don't want to cut away.
>> So crisp and clean.
>> And look at the way they're using the soldiers there as foreground elements.
Dutching it back lit. It looks more cinematic on the shadow.
>> It's good.
>> Very pretty.
>> Surely do better.
>> You're watching history in the making, folks.
Bam. Bam. Such excellent begin.
>> What a >> I would love to know what your opinion is when you're playing. Is this what you wanted from Final Fantasy? Do you like this? Do you like this because it breaks up the story?
>> It's part of fun with your gaming.
>> We got one bad.
>> And with that, the Seventh Infantry concludes the second part of their performance. or in some hospital. Hey mom, our judges have been busy all the votes we've received.
>> So let's look at the results.
>> Universal acclaim and little wonder given the skill and coordination on display.
>> So what's going to happen in the second the third part of our video coverage?
I'm expecting serious >> cuz at the moment >> even though we're getting a little bit of fun, a little bit of story pushing here, this is very much a fun episode, isn't it? And again, we had that in the when we covered remake.
>> It's definitely part of their >> their different acts in the story is paying off.
Practice makes perfect.
>> That's nice. Started up high like on a jib shop and paired the stall down as they are coming through like this.
>> Quite effective because this is on camera take as well. We're on it.
>> I do feel >> watching history in the making folks.
final sequence begin.
>> If I was playing this, then again, if you're playing it, you're fully invested in it.
>> But for me, I really hope this music doesn't cause me problems and I got to take all this section out. That would suck so bad for anyone that's watching this on YouTube.
But if I feel like if I was playing this, if I wasn't fully invested, I think this would be enough to make me go.
>> And with that, >> I like Final Fantasy, but is there a way you can skip this section or I'm sorry.
>> For the final time, the judges are tallying the votes for you.
>> And now, let's see the results.
>> Listen to that crowd. Judging by this response, it's clear that Midcar seventh infantry has made, >> you know, I don't mind gimmicky, but I still want to make it believable. Like, folks, that was a performance for the ancient.
>> Do you do this in the original game?
Maybe you do.
>> Oh, man. Got the red arrows to find out.
Huh.
Aith and the [ __ ] music.
>> Yes, sir. Around the clock. They remain unaware.
>> Leave them to me. I want you and your people tracking the ropes.
>> Understood.
So, they've been here the whole time.
They've always been clocked.
>> We're back on the clock. I trust you know the mission by now.
>> Listen, >> my friend.
>> Chunky bit of the game as well. It >> to congratulate you on a stirring performance. You've done your company proud. Your passion and patriotism is beyond question. And I know our president can't wait to thank you all.
>> Oh, Marcus.
>> Of course, some among you are deserving of special praise.
For our first award, we will recognize the division whose exemplary display eclipsed all others.
>> So, we're going to get Cloud up on the stage, are we?
THE PRIZE FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE goes to he wants it.
The seventh >> MIDGAR SEVENTH INFANTRY.
>> We literally have just had another tournament arc.
>> Is that Yuthi on camera?
Oh no. I swear to God I saw >> you.
>> I [ __ ] swear to God. I'm going to go back later and check that out.
I'd love it if there's a scene of her coming to thank Cloud if you know what I mean.
award >> just to give us that bit of grownup to it as she warmly.
>> Congratulations once again to the team and >> man, this game's got me smiling. It's obviously his magic's working on me.
>> If you would do the honor, sir.
I would like a bit where he's on stage cloud and he goes, "I know who you are."
And then they just look at each other and there's that tension.
I like [ __ ] like that.
>> The late president, my father, single-handedly turned a small arm, >> very slow punching. Look at his eye level, top third, rule of third, >> and transformed all of our lives with the miracle of Monaco. So I invite you to join me in a moment of silence for a great man gone too soon.
>> Mate, the way this is written is so nihon. It is so Japan.
>> We live here.
>> But that's what you buy it for. That's what makes it special. Any fans of that culture, the stair storytelling >> delete us. But to them and to you all, I say this. The Shinra Electric Power Company will endure.
>> Him firing that gun off. I swear to God, that's going to have repercussions.
>> If we summon our courage and cut ties with the past, yesterday is behind us.
We must look instead to the promise of tomorrow. For today is a new day.
>> I suppose they introduce new soldier character journey which we must take together >> that you grow attached to. Follow me and we will reach our promised land. This I do music epic in this for you all as president of the Shinra electric power company.
My friends, place your trust in me and together will we achieve our dream.
>> I love why he's a bit more delayed on the screen like real life.
And look at him going all slow motion in the background. the copies.
>> Now, I have a commenation to present.
>> I like this when the music's nice, but I like it when he's like just digesting sound.
>> Goes to Midgar's Seventh Infantry.
>> I swear to God, right, we're watching the [ __ ] Mighty Ducks or Or is it high Q?
That's exactly what this part of the game was, a fun tournament.
>> And the thing is, cuz you're playing it, you're like well and truly invested in it. And as much as I said I think it might pulled me out, but now we won it >> to accept this award on behalf of the team.
>> Three of the best will now join me.
>> Oh, they know.
>> Come on up.
>> Don't wish your eyes were hidden. Now >> the president has invited three members of the >> Let me get Do they get captured at this moment in time?
>> Oh, will they want to show that to everyone?
Your performance today was nothing short of incredible.
>> Midgar's seventh infantry is without a doubt the prize.
>> And this is the J position.
>> Congratulations.
>> The president offers his congratulations to the team when we only imagine those troops.
I have a few private words to say to these troopers.
>> Cut the [ __ ] feed.
>> Sir, >> you you're on crowd control.
>> Hard work and dedication brought them this far.
>> And this is the part where he knows >> that ain't right.
>> Excuse me. Need to get through.
>> No. Why is the music so lighthearted? I want something a bit serious over there.
It is you of the times.
>> Mate, they really love an overhead shot in this one. I rarely talk to the rank and file. Why not take off your helmet?
>> Cloud Strife.
God, look at that. Don't that look performance >> one worthy >> of a soldier. Blink up.
Punching in.
>> Mate, you ain't got hat hair or nothing.
>> Don't cause a ruckus.
>> But sir, >> oh mate, now this is [ __ ] sexy and spicy and all the things I like. The 5500 tickle on them. They're running around, mate. As if you want to see that >> fascinating individual, Cloud Strife, your file was as gripping as it was enlightening, which is why I have a proposition for you.
At present, >> go on requires my full and undivided attention.
>> The city is Shinra's beating heart. Its devastation is a humiliation, and the world must use the music.
To that end, I need to refocus my efforts and push certain duties to one side.
>> Get to the point. Are we going to hire him to hunt out?
>> Left me a mountain of unless tasks like the recapture of a fugitive of ancient descent, >> the recovery of a stolen lab specimen, >> and of course, the arrest and execution of avalanche.
>> Oh, they're both on the team. None of which frankly are of any interest to me whatsoever. I'd gladly wash my hands of it all.
You >> got one.
>> What? You're going to let us go just like that?
>> Yes. Provided you keep your distance from Midgar. That is no more stirring the proverbial pot. Money and publicized >> for me. But why?
>> It's It has got me It's It's got me really interested.
>> I have a new vision for Shinra.
>> So, we go free and you get >> Sephro dead.
He's an unsavory relic of our past and I want him gone.
>> Oh, he's a clever boy.
>> But in our current state, Shinra lacks.
just let the heroes do the dirty job, which they're already doing anyway.
>> So, I turn to you.
>> I like this writing, >> but it's it's so much better because we've just had that whole [ __ ] tournament arc.
>> You have a lead, I take it.
>> The guy's in black ropes.
>> And look at them punching in all the time, >> building that tension.
>> You know who they are, don't you?
>> This is where Blondie comes in.
>> Hojo. They're connected to Sephro.
Shadows of the man, I believe he called them.
Follow them and you'll find him.
>> And he's very slow blinking, isn't he, Dieser?
I like the way I like this now.
But again, it works so much better because we've had that tournament arc.
That's the beauty of it. Granted, it gave you a little bit of Japan, that filler episode, but actually they're quite fun, so to speak. And what Yuthi is going to [ __ ] it up for everyone.
>> Look up there.
>> Oh, no. Don't do it now.
Especially in public performance.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Why am I saying yes? Cuz there's no music. It's fully Oh, mate. Got those nutcrackers in there.
Oh, there we are. There we are.
>> Time to pay.
>> There's your tickle.
>> Focus.
>> Why did they cut them?
>> So, we have ourselves a deal then.
>> Only if you can honor time. No one comes.
>> You know you can do this.
>> Not Hojo. Not the Turks. No one.
>> You have my word. Here goes.
>> They're going to get the blame for it.
>> Stop.
>> Get down.
>> Get over here.
>> Better do your job, Cloud.
>> So that's your game. It wasn't us.
>> Oh no.
>> Spare me. You've had your chance.
>> Son, please.
You [ __ ] up for everyone.
>> Swing the rooftops now.
>> Don't let them get away.
>> Yuthi, that was her, right?
>> Unbelievable.
>> Get the hell out of here.
>> Well, it would have been too good to be true anyway. They would have had to take him down eventually. He's obviously poison.
What happened to Roffus?
>> But they just gave him the everything that they wanted.
>> [ __ ] So what now?
>> But Yui [ __ ] up for everyone.
>> He was headed for the port. Let's follow him.
>> Place is on alert.
>> Wow.
>> You sure about that?
>> Still got the uniforms.
>> Go on without me. I'll take care of the seventh infantry.
>> Throw them off the scent.
>> Alone? You sure?
>> Trust me. I do feel like we we should have some alone time.
>> Get going.
>> A bit like the first mission. Play a little bit different perhaps.
>> Sir, your orders.
>> Just received new intel.
>> This is really cool.
>> Is in route to Larbor Jun.
I'm to convey this information to all nearby units. Go join the search. I'll catch up.
If I may, sir, we've heard rumors that there are others in league with the terrorist conspirators in stolen uniforms.
>> For your own safety, sir, allow us to accompany you. Midgar 7th infantry leaves a man behind.
>> They didn't want to spend the money out on that.
>> Among us, other units are a potential threat, and we must treat them as such.
Oh, interesting.
>> Good point.
>> So, you're going to carry on the game with taking out other soldiers.
>> Like we trust you.
>> Oh, mate. It's almost too good to be true.
>> We'll alert all units from here to the port elevator. When that's done, we'll regroup with the rest of Marore Jun.
>> Got it. Yes, sir.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Checkpoint.
And there you have it. That is the perfect time to stop this game because I know full well after we've just had this part, which yeah, was a little bit silly. Yeah, it was actually quite a few mini games in there, but at the same time, it was very much fun. But I know full well what's going to happen next.
I'm kind of hoping it goes down that way. We're going to get a flavor of seriousness cuz you know what's going to happen. Like I say in every single video, I'm just going to want to keep watching. The thing is, they definitely got me at the end there. I've gone through a real mixture of emotions in this part and it definitely kind of gave me a little bit of a wakeup call or reminded me of certain things when it comes to Eastern culture or anything with Nehon or Japan, sorry. But also, I bet it kind of woke up a lot of you guys or certain category of gamers perhaps.
I've got a sneaky suspicion and maybe I'm just overthinking this, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of well quite a few of you gamers out there who would played this game who loved the first one went into this one not disappointed but felt the silliness or the light-heartedness compared to the first one might be enough to put a few gamers off. I don't know but you know my spider senses I like to say my filmmaking senses or my storytelling senses my alarm bells are going off a little bit. But for those who love the silliness of Japan, the mini games of Japan, the things that come with a JRPG game, you're in your [ __ ] element.
This is wonderful. It's amazing. I am used to anime arcs, okay? I've been watching them since I was a wee nipper.
So, when I watched this, you know, I think there was a moment in there I'd been like I even said, didn't I, guys? I said, look, you know what? If I was playing this myself, granted, I would have played it. I would be a little bit more marinated. I'd be enjoy controlling the game. Maybe I'd feel differently, but there's been a part of this video should be I almost said game, but I meant video that yeah, it pulled me out slightly. It made me go, do you know what? Maybe this isn't the game for me.
Maybe this is a little bit too lighthearted for me. And again, like I just mentioned that previous sentence or statement, would I have been one of those gamers to drop the controller and not return? I reminded myself, no, this is like anime. This is a tournament arc and we just had that crescendo moment, the juxosition, the other side of the coin. Think of it like chapters like real manga and and like real anime. You have the ups and downs. That's the beauty of the eastern culture. That's what I love and that is what you love as well. And so when you're playing this and it gets to the serious part, you're like, "Oh my god, they've been given everything they want." And then when Yui comes along and [ __ ] spoils it. I can't believe she did that. It's like you're shocked. You can't believe it because that is the juxosition. That is the other side of the coin. That is the silliness, the funness of the game that we've had all this time. Exactly what we had in remaking part two with the whole him dressed up as a girl, you know, and all that section with Cloud. And then when it flipped over, the seriousness was utterly fantastic. That's the bit I loved the most and probably what you like as well. But at the same time, it hits harder because of the silliness of it, but also it's a nice little bit of storytelling of that, you know, it can be a light-hearted place. And I've said multiple times, I do feel like Midgard is very serious, very gloomy. And they definitely played on that. Even though there was a little bit of light hardness, a little bit of silliness with this one, I do feel like we are on holiday a little bit. And as I said, if we don't get like a beach scene, cuz a lot of the we've had Echo the Dolphin in it, that would be the right old um proof in the pudding, so to speak. If we see Yuthi compare her boob size to Tifa, maybe not Erith, but definitely Tifa with a bikini shop because I've seen that in so many animes, you know, about being a woman and whatnot. feel like they're definitely playing on the Japanese culture and and I'll be honest with you guys and the the ina otaku, should we say, wants to see that. And if it does happen, don't spoil it. Do not put it down below, even though I really want you to just give me a little wink or something down below because to see if I'm on the right track and I'll know exactly what that means. Speaking of silliness and speaking of alarm bells, I definitely want to cover over those two, but there's three things that I kind of dislike in this video or this part of the game. the use of music is very overused. Again, I don't know if it's the person's video that we're watching, but it definitely feels like it's being cranked up a little bit too high or they're using music here to pad out the game to get that thread of storytelling you from A to point B a lot easier. I do feel like they're using a little bit too much as like um I don't know, like a handrail or something like that.
Something for you to lean on to crutch the story and the way the development or at least the flow is going. something's off with it and I do feel like they're using it too much as a crutch compared to I don't know if it was like that in remake but this one I've really noticed it and the second thing that's given me sort of like the old spider sense tingling is due to the missions of what they are is this game bloated by any chance but some of the missions that we've done in this I understand that you know and it kind of goes into the music especially when we got introduced to that other character with the hat on there I don't know if she was in the first one I called her a mouth of the south but cloud's eyes and she pretended to be a a merc I don't know it just feels like it's quite padded and again that would put me off from playing the game effectively but it's the music that's kind of making it feel that way.
I don't know what it is but that's the second alarm bell. The third thing that I didn't like and it's sort of the main thing is actually the flat look is the idle look that is giving the characters.
The first game so Final Fantasy 7 remake I kind of noticed it a little bit but I don't know if it was because of where they were midguard trying to make it a little bit more doomy and gloomy.
There's a lot more shadows on the noses, at least on the bridge, and it just looked a little bit more contrasty, and I liked it. It able to give us the Z axis play, a little bit more depth in our shots when it come to 45° angle with this. The idle look was so strong and I understand why they want to do it in the cut scenes, but actually in the cut scenes, it was perfect. It looked real.
It looked exactly how I wanted it. But in the game engine, I don't know if the guy's playing on PC or PS5, it looked like it was the lighting engine or the lighting, whatever they use in there looked a bit [ __ ] up if I'm being honest. And it looked like a glitch. And what it was doing, it was making him look flat or it was making Cloud look like a serial killer. It's just what a shame. And again, I don't know if this is a game engine or something like that, but I want you to be aware of it. And you think, you know, why does that character look a bit flat? Why does this look a bit cheap? You know, why does the quality control look like it's, you know, not only fallen on the floor, but gone through the [ __ ] floor, should we say, like a Mortal Kombat fight sequence or something. And the reason for that is because of the lighting. You can really tell when it [ __ ] up and when it sort of like damages the product and the IP. I noticed it more in the side missions, and that's kind of where I'm going with this, that all three of them are connected if I'm being honest, and it makes the side missions. I even mentioned in this video, it made it all look a little bit cheap and sort of damagy. And the thing is, I know full well Final Fantasy 7, this story is utterly brilliant. I know full well the game developers are absolutely marvelous. I know full well I am in love with this IP. So why put a bad foot forward if you know what I mean? These are definitely things that I've seen in this video. I just wanted to bring that to your attention. I want you guys to also notice it. So when we go forward or when I'm like, "Wow, look at this cut scene. Look how different it looks." And that is why. And it's normally nine times out of 10 is the lighting.
Granted, if they dip the music a little bit, it would make it flow a little bit better, but also it's not necessarily how it's written, even though it kind of is. I guess it's just those three things put together. Again, it always comes in packages of three. Most of the time when I'm talking about packages three, it's normally the color grade or it's the writing, whatever it may be. It normally elevates it to a A tier or an S tier.
But in this case, those three elements came together and marked it down. But does that mean I hated this video?
Absolutely not. I did feel like it was a little bit long and tooth sometimes and that's due to the fact that they kind of push it all together. They kind of crunch it all together. They did that in the last part. Actually, no, it wasn't the main game. It was in Yuthi's part. I said in that part or integrate or intermission. I feel like they needed a certain amount a certain quot we say of comical or a certain quot of Kawaii or something along those lines and they sort of like packaged it all together like those tiny little rice or guini.
But yeah, I don't know man. This part I do really like it. It definitely has.
But again, it's exactly the same thing with part two. The only thing part two if I remember correctly in the last one they had teeth a lock hard making me lock hard in that outfit. I really hope we get to see I know I'm just being pervy here but [ __ ] hell I can be. I do like the way they do play on this a little bit as well. And speaking of playing on it, what did they do to my girl Yuthi? They kind of had a little bit of a sex appeal in intermission, but they kind of made it look no she's definitely a child compared to the others and especially she looked a bit green dynam shocked me. This part is definitely gave me a little bit of culture shock. This part is definitely sort of opened my eyes and reminded me about the Final Fantasy 7 story and the way Japan and Square Enix like to tell their stories.
I do feel like though if you're not a huge fan, if you're not an otaku [ __ ] nerd for manga and anime, you might struggle with this. But then again, I don't feel like if you're not a fan of those and you're not into that sort of stuff or at least if you're Western trying to give this game a go. The first one might have won you over to a certain degree, but definitely this one you would have struggled with. But let's be realistic, you wouldn't be watching this video with me today, would you? But there you have it. That was my reaction to part two of us covering all the cutscenes to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I cannot wait now for part three because I now know what's going to be coming. A little bit of seriousness. Yeah, of course we're going to have a little bit of a quot of silliness and fun because that's the beauty of it. And my goodness, I really do hope we get the payoff or I get the payoff of seeing Tifa in some sort of sexy outfit.
But guys, I go create Big Grant. I'll see you on part three or a different gaming franchise all together. Whatever it is, I'll see you then. See you later, guys. Bye-bye. Out of time.
