The day that I had my Hernia Surgery and all the things that happened that day with me and Mrs PIB!Added:
Hey, good morning, guys. This is Jimmy from Par Matters Best. I'm out here looking at this beautiful day the Lord has made. And uh I was going to tell you also that uh uh had my uh uh hernia surgery yesterday.
I was back home and see I had to be there at 6:45 or is it 6:30 uh in the morning and uh I was back home by about 11:00 that morning.
And uh he said everything went very well. I'm very sore as you might expect.
And uh uh but I but I'm here and uh you know if you've been watching my channel, I I was expecting I didn't know what to expect.
I've never had hernia surgery before. So uh uh I was expecting it to be like my knee replacement. Now that was horrific.
Horrific. And my wife was asking me uh I don't know a time a time or two she said is it as bad as your knee surgery was, you know, total knee replacement?
And I said no. I said that knee replacement was like a Hang on.
Anyway, uh that knee replacement I explained it to my wife cuz I'm I'm not the brightest bulb in the room, but I I told her it's kind of like getting run over by a semi truck.
And then they noticed you that you were ran over.
So they backed up the 18-wheeler and run over you again to see if you's okay and realized that you're not. So they take off again. So you got run over three times. That's kind of like what it felt like to me in my eyes in my mind how knee replacement was for me cuz they done a of The doctor said he done a lot of extra work on my leg because I'm bowlegged and he said I he said he evened it up and straightened my leg up on top of total knee replacement. So, the only thing original on my knee is the kneecap.
So, uh but no, this hernia surgery, I mean, yeah, it's painful. I'm hurting right now, but uh it's nothing nothing Oh my goodness, nothing like the knee replacement. And that's kind of like what I was expecting.
I haven't had any uh surgeries in my life.
So, the replacement was the first one.
So, I was expecting more of the same with the hernia, but as I said, I'm hurting standing here, but I need to walk around. They said no uh try to that will prevent blood clotting and uh infection or pneumonia or something, I don't know.
I was kind of out of it, you know, how they put you under.
And uh one of the I guess one of the funny things I guess you can call it funny, maybe it's kind of sick kind of funny, but my uh the nurse and the guy that puts the uh put you under uh I can't think of the word just now.
Please forgive me.
Uh Anyway, he puts that gas on you, put you knocks knocks you out.
And uh I told her I was I told them they were both standing there and they said, "You ready to go back to the operating room?"
I said, "Yes."
So, uh we got back there and that you know, I said uh uh I was talking to him about something, asking a question or just talking cuz I was really nervous.
They said my blood pressure was high because I was so nervous, you know, as you might expect.
Anyway, so uh they said nurse told me she's real nice and she said, you know, Jimmy, she said uh one of the sad things is is that a lot of times uh somebody is talking like you are and she said uh the the sad thing is is uh they get started talking about something and we never get to finish hearing what they're saying.
Because they're gone.
And uh and you know what? I was gone, too. They put that thing on, I was out like a light.
And uh it's kind of funny now, but she didn't mean it in a she didn't mean it that way. It just kind of I guess kind of came out that way, whatever.
So, it was you know, I was telling my wife about it and Miss PIB and she was laughing pretty good about it and uh so Yeah, it was a success. You know, uh I was numb in that area.
And then when the numbness wore wore off, you know, I could tell it was wearing off.
And uh and for some reason uh I you know, I kind of lost my voice uh kind of uh I that I don't know why, but uh I guess that gas or whatever they give you to knock you out, uh it kind of affects my voice and when I used to do a lot of welding uh you know, aluminum welding and stuff, uh some sometimes, like if I was welding inside of petroleum trailer or something uh you know, all day uh you know, on your knees beating and banging and stuff like that trying to weld up a petroleum trailer that hauls fuel to the gas stations for you uh sometimes I would lose my voice and I couldn't speak.
Or or even welding, you know, any kind of welding, some sometimes it would affect me that way. It's always my voice.
So, I got to where uh when I'd lose my voice uh this is kind of funny, too, I think.
When I lose my voice, I I'd get me a piece of paper and I and I'd stick it on my shirt, you know, and I'd I'd say uh, good morning or whatever, and I'd say, uh, you know, I I'm not mad. I'm not, you know, anything like that. I just I've lost my voice and I can't speak.
You know, it'd just be like a little whisper.
Well, I don't know why, but this is kind of like the funny part.
People would understand I couldn't speak, but they would talk louder like I couldn't hear, either.
You know, and and I could hear perfectly fine. I just couldn't speak, you know, I'd have to get really close to someone to say something to them. So, I I don't know why that affected me so much, but it's mostly aluminum welding. Seemed like it affected me more.
I'd done that for I don't know, 14, 15 years, you know, it it once while I'd just totally lose my voice.
But, uh, anyway, that's all behind me now. All that stuff's behind me. Um, I was going to tell you real quick, or not real quick. I was going to tell you, my wife was, uh, you know, I was kind of out of it, you know, it took me a while to recover from being put under.
And, uh, so, anyway, so my wife was having a little bit of fun with me.
So, she was, uh, we got two videos.
And anyway, my wife is making me some, uh, what was it? Oh, yeah, I'm trying to remember what I ate yesterday.
I had some, uh, uh, chicken noodle soup.
And, uh, I was I was trying to eat something light, you know.
And, uh, anyway, she she said, "Oh, wait." Before she gave me the bowl, you know, I was I was sitting in the recliner trying not to hurt. And, uh, she said, uh, "Wait this minute." She said, "I forgot to put something in your, uh, soup."
So, she went back in the kitchen.
And uh you know, she she said, "She's acting like a wicked witch or something." You know, she would "You don't you wish you knew?" or something, you know.
Anyway, she put some stuff in there. Uh some fiber.
You know, because of the medications and stuff, you know.
A little bit of fiber to fiber to kind of help you out and then uh She You watch the videos anyway. She's having fun at my expense.
So.
Let me know what you think about that.
We're all the time kidding around and stuff and uh I appreciate all the prayers and everything that y'all have given my wife and myself and I also want to tell you I'm not really sure how the channel's going to go, but uh my my wife is uh My wife is kind of about talked me into uh keeping the channel going for a little while longer, okay? So, I'm I'm not trying to waste your time. I'm not trying to hoodoo you.
I'm not trying to do anything, but uh my wife uh my wife is a big influence on me. As I've said in many a video, she's a she's a keeper and so uh So, at this point, I think I'll keep the channel going for a little while longer, but uh we'll just see how long that lasts, okay?
Hopefully, I didn't disappoint y'all or or you know, well, he's going to keep it going long, you know. I hope I didn't make any y'all mad by that, but uh you know, I still got a still got a another issue going on with me that I hope my wife and I's been praying a lot for, you know, the the C-word. I'm hoping I don't have that, but as of now, I think my I don't We'll just play it by ear, okay?
I'm just going to hush. I'm not making no sense at all. So, anyway, I thank you for watching. My name's Jimmy. You're watching Primitive's Best. Keep watching the video at the end when I get done when I shut up.
And uh y'all can watch those two little clips, maybe.
Might be three clips. I'm not sure.
Yeah, yesterday was just kind of a blur.
You know, I wouldn't I slept for a long time after I got home and uh it's just kind of a blur.
So, and I've been up since uh Now, I know nobody cares. I've been up since 3:30 this morning. I I was hurting, you know. So, I finally just got up and sit in the recliner.
