This reaction effectively captures how Tarantino’s non-linear structure transforms the viewer into an active participant in the film’s unfolding mystery. It proves that the brilliance of his character-driven dialogue remains undiminished and intellectually stimulating for a modern audience.

First Time Watching RESERVOIR DOGS (1992) | Movie ReactionAdded:
Hi everyone, it's Liz and I'm back with another movie reaction and today I'm going to be watching another Tarantino movie and it is Reservoir Dogs. This is one that has been mentioned so much in the comments and I really didn't think about too much when thinking about Tarantino movies, but I'm very excited for it. I'm in the mood for a Tarantino movie. So, let's see. I got my drink.
I'm all set. So, without any further ado, let's just get right into it and let's go.
Let me tell you what like a virgin is about. It's all about a girl who dicks a guy with a big dick.
>> She's been [ __ ] over a few times and uh then she meets a guy who's >> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out.
Green, tell that [ __ ] [ __ ] to the tourist.
>> That's definitely Quinton Tarantino talking, too.
>> It's all about this coup who's a regular [ __ ] machine. I'm talking morning, day, night, afternoon. It hurts just like it did the first time. The pain is reminding a [ __ ] machine what it was once like to be a virgin.
Okay, >> for the past 15 minutes now, you've been droning on about names. Toby Wong, Toby Wong, Toby Chung, [ __ ] Charlie Chan.
>> Give me that book. Are you going to put it away? I'm going to do whatever the [ __ ] I want with it. Want me to shoot this guy?
>> [ __ ] >> I wouldn't be surprised. It's a Tarantino movie, too. Okay, I'm ready this time. So, anybody could just whip out a gun at any second. I don't know.
>> I'll take care of the check. You guys can get the tip.
>> Uh-uh. I don't tip.
>> You don't tip?
>> No, I don't believe in it. They make minimum wage. You know, I used to work minimum wage and when I did, I wasn't lucky enough to have a job the society deemed tipw worthy.
>> Huh?
>> Who didn't throw in?
>> Mr. Pink, you don't tip.
>> You don't tip? What do you mean you don't tip?
>> You don't believe in it.
>> Shut up.
>> I pay for your goddamn breakfast.
>> All right, since you pay for the breakfast, I'll put in. But normally, I would never do this.
>> Oh my god. It's like it's hurting him to be a nice person. Doesn't somebody want to be wanted? Followed by Edison Lighous's Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes.
>> I'm already intrigued. Let's see then.
What are these guys going to do?
>> I'm going to die.
I'm going to die. I'm going to die.
>> What? What are they doing? It's going to show and it's going to be so funny. I just know it's nothing dramatic.
>> Sorry.
She killed me, man.
>> You're hurt. You're hurt real [ __ ] bad. Yeah, it it seems like it. He's terrified of the blood. Yeah, it's a lot of blood.
>> Are you a doctor? ANSWER ME, PLEASE. ARE YOU A DOCTOR?
>> HUH?
>> SO, you admit you don't know what you're talking about, >> right? Yeah.
>> If you're through giving me your amateur opinion, slide back and listen to the news. I'm taking you back to the rendevous.
>> The rendevu. Okay.
>> And you're going TO BE OKAY. YOU'RE GOING to be okay.
This must have been so much fun to film.
>> Yes, baby.
>> And we're in a warehouse. There we are.
We made it. We made it. We [ __ ] made it.
>> Did they make it? And who did this to him? A woman with a kid.
>> This is [ __ ] scared, man.
Can you please hold me?
>> Oh, no. Yeah, I actually feel bad for him, man.
situation cuz I'm shot in the belly without medical attention. I'm going to die.
>> Yeah, >> I can't take you to a hospital.
>> You don't have to take me in. Just drive me up to the front.
Strap me on the SIDEWALK AND TAKE CARE OF MYSELF.
>> He's not going to, but that would be the best option.
>> Tell them anything.
>> You're not going to [ __ ] die, kid.
>> Yeah. It takes a long time to die from it. I'm talking days.
>> You're going to wish you were dead. Time is on your side. IT'S >> NOT A [ __ ] SAMPLE. WHAT?
>> HE'S JUST saying things that are just not true.
>> Where's uh Brown?
>> Dead. The cops shot.
>> So bad. So [ __ ] bad.
>> I don't want to ask the obvious, but what happened? What did they do?
>> You really think we were set up?
>> I don't think we got set up. I know we got set up. I mean, really, seriously, WHERE DID ALL THOSE COPS come from? HUH?
ONE MINUTE THEY'RE NOT THERE AND the next minute they're there.
>> Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Probably someone said something.
>> I'm telling you, man. They were there and they were waiting for us. Haven't you [ __ ] thought about this?
>> Is it going to be one of the group?
>> GOING TO DRIVE. JUST DRIVE OFF, MAN.
BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO TELL US SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT THIS PLACE. There going to BE COPS HERE WAITING FOR US, MAN. THERE GOING TO BE COPS COMING HERE RIGHT NOW.
>> RIGHT. YEAH. I need some flashbacks of what happened.
>> I'm right here looking at you. Okay.
>> I'm right here looking at you.
No, you didn't want to drive him to a hospital. You're just going to He's going to bleed out.
>> As soon as I felt that, I should have said no thank you and walked and I don't [ __ ] listen. Have a cigarette.
>> I could Why? You got one?
>> He needs that. I think >> let's go through what happened. We're in the place. Everything's going fine. Then the alarm gets tripped. I turn around and all these cops are outside.
>> The cops did not show up after the alarm went off. Right. The cops didn't show up until after Mr. Blunt started shooting everybody.
Enough of this Mr. WHITE [ __ ] >> WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, MAN. DON'T DON'T TELL ME YOUR [ __ ] name, man. I don't want to know it.
>> How did you get out?
>> Shot my way out. Everybody started shooting, so I blasted my way out of there.
>> Move in. GET OUT OF THE WAY.
>> WHY do I think he's lying? He keeps telling everyone that they were sold out, but also it could have been him.
Oh Jesus.
Get the [ __ ] out of here.
>> What kind of a chase scene is this? The cops are so slow.
>> I was going to say they're not even shooting. Wow.
>> Did you kill anybody?
>> Few cops.
>> No real people.
>> Just cops.
>> No real people. Wow. Man, could you believe Mr. Blonde?
>> That was the most insane [ __ ] thing I've ever seen.
>> I don't want to kill anybody. What the [ __ ] was Joe thinking? We're awful goddamn lucky he didn't tag us when he shot the place up. I came this close to taking his ass out myself. I mean, everybody panics. Everybody.
>> I don't trust him. Why is he loading his gun?
>> Psychopath ain't a professional. Can't work with a psychopath.
>> Me and Orange jumped in the car, ground floor it. At that point was every man for himself. As far as Mr. Blonde and Mr. Blue concern, I ain't got the foggy cuz once I got out, I never looked back.
I mean, you know, the cops either caught him or killed him. But even if they did get away, then where the [ __ ] are they?
Yeah, right. Was this where they were going to meet after it happened?
>> I got the diamonds.
>> Where?
I stashed them. Look, if you want to come with me, let's go get them right now.
>> Uh, I don't know.
>> I say the plan becomes null and void once we find out we got a rat in the house. I mean, they could both be dead or maybe they're arrested. The cops could have them right right now at the station house sweating them down. Yeah, they don't know our names, but they could be singing about this place.
>> So, it was a robbery basically that ended very bloody. I swear to God, I think I'm [ __ ] jinxed. Two jobs back, it was a fourman job. I discovered one of the team was an undercover cop.
>> Oh. So, who's the rat this time? Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown. You know, listen, I mean, Joe set this whole thing up. Maybe he set it up to sell.
>> I don't bite.
>> H >> I've known Joe since I was a kid, okay?
And me saying he definitely had nothing to do with it is ridiculous. I mean, I can say I definitely didn't do it cuz I know what I did or I didn't do. For all I know, you're the rat.
>> For all I know, you're the [ __ ] rat.
Yeah.
I mean, fair. You have to think about everyone.
>> That kid in there is dying from a [ __ ] bullet I saw him take. SO, DON'T YOU BE CALLING him a rat?
>> Look.
>> Yeah. What? What about him? Is he still alive? Can we look after him for a second?
>> Mr. White. Okay.
>> So, explain the telegram.
>> Fiveman job. Busting in and busting out of a diamond wholesalers.
>> How many employees?
>> I'd say around 20. They most usually just deal in boxes, but on this particular day, they're getting a shipment of polished stones from Israel.
Did he get picked up the next day and sent to Vermont?
>> No, they're not.
>> Well, and now look at the situation.
>> [ __ ] Did he [ __ ] die in us?
>> He probably did.
>> Is he dead or what?
>> He ain't dead.
>> What is >> I think he is. I feel like he's just in an aisle.
>> Without medical attention, the man might not live through the night. Bullet in his belly is my fault. Now, while that might not mean jack [ __ ] to you, it means a hell of a lot to me.
>> Yeah.
>> What do you suggest we do? Go to a hotel?
>> You got an idea? Spit it out.
>> We get in touch with Joe. Joe could get him to a doctor.
>> How are we going to get in touch with him?
>> He's supposed to be here, but he ain't, which is making me very nervous about being here, >> right? Yeah. No one else is there.
>> All right, then. I guess we take him to a hospital. I mean, if that's what he said, let's do it. Since he don't know nothing about us, I say it's his decision. You didn't tell him your name, did you?
>> I told him my first name and where I was from.
Yeah, >> I told him where I was from a few days ago. It was just a natural conversation.
Why was telling him your name when you weren't supposed to?
>> He asked.
>> He just got shot. It was my fault he got shot.
>> Yeah.
>> I swear to God, I thought he was going to die right then and there. I'm trying to comfort him.
>> He really tried to be optimistic about it.
>> I mean, the man was dying in MY ARMS.
WHAT THE [ __ ] WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO? I CAN'T GIVE OUT THAT [ __ ] INFORMATION.
I DON'T TRUST YOU ENOUGH.
>> Now he knows P your name, B what you look like, C where you from, and D what your specialty is. They're not GOING TO HAVE TO show him a hell of a lot of pictures from him to pick you out.
>> He said he wasn't going to say anything though, which of course I don't know if that's true or if he is going to talk.
If if that's even going to happen.
>> We know he's going to die.
>> I'm very sad about that. But some fells are lucky and some ain't.
>> [ __ ] you touching me for, man?
>> Wow. Oh yeah.
>> You want TO [ __ ] WITH ME? I'LL SHOW YOU WHO YOU'RE [ __ ] WITH. YOU WANT TO SHOOT ME, you little piece of [ __ ] >> They get him, they could get you. THEY GET YOU, THEY GET CLOSER TO ME. AND THAT CAN'T HAPPEN. I DIDN'T TELL THEM MY NAME. I DIDN'T TELL THEM WHERE I WAS FROM.
>> YOUR BUDDY THERE IS STUCK IN A SITUATION YOU CREATED. SO IF YOU WEREN'T SO BAD, LOOK AWAY. THROW THEM IN A MIRROR.
>> I was going to say shouldn't play so rough.
>> The camera was panning away like this.
Why does he look so okay compared to these two?
>> Look, Brown is dead. Orange got it in the belly. He's alive.
>> ENOUGH.
>> YOU BETTER START TALKING, [ __ ] >> RIGHT. YEAH, PLEASE. He's freaking me out being so quiet.
>> Okay, let's talk.
>> I guarantee we got a rat in the house.
>> What makes you say that?
>> Is that supposed to be funny?
>> He's so weirdly CALM.
>> IT'S YOUR [ __ ] FAULT WE'RE IN THIS TROUBLE.
>> WHAT THE [ __ ] ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
>> THAT [ __ ] SHOOTING SPRAY.
>> OH, [ __ ] THEM. They set off the alarm.
They deserve what they got.
>> What a weird dynamic right now. He freaks me out still.
>> Are you going to bark all day, little doggy?
>> No.
>> Or are you going to bite?
>> Oh, Christ. Hey, look, you two [ __ ] Calm the [ __ ] down. Hey.
>> Yeah, they need to calm down. I actually don't know at this point if there's anyone professional here.
>> You said yourself you thought about taking him out.
>> [ __ ] said that.
>> Yeah, I did. Okay, >> I did. But that was then. Right now, this guy is the only one I completely trust.
>> 10 minutes ago. Yeah. What a mess.
Really?
>> Let's try and figure out who the bad guy is. All right.
>> Wow.
That was really exciting.
>> My heart's beating so fast. I'm about to have a heart attack here. I got something outside that uh I'd like to show you guys. So, follow me.
>> I really don't trust him.
>> Would you forget your French fries to go with the soda?
>> I had them already. It's a big surprise.
>> Okay, >> I'm sure you'll like it. Come on.
>> And what about the other guy dying? You know, are we so just leaving him there?
And it's Bud from Kill Bill, isn't it?
It took me a second, but I noticed his voice and just the way he talked. I was like, I know him. I'm pretty sure.
>> And we still got to get out of here, you know.
>> I'm terrified of this surprise. I don't trust any of this.
>> You talk to nice guy, Eddie. Why the [ __ ] do you say that in the first place?
>> Cuz you never asked me. Hardty [ __ ] har. What do you say?
>> Okay. Is someone in his trunk? Jesus Christ.
>> Oh god.
>> Maybe our boy in blue here can answer some of these questions about this >> front of the car.
>> Ain't a bad idea. Let's get him the [ __ ] out of here.
>> All right. Okay. Maybe we can trust Mr. Blonde. Let's see.
>> Hey, welcome home, Vic.
>> Not afraid of fail, huh? It's a change.
Ain't that the sad truth?
>> Who's your parole officer?
>> Nor Skagnetti.
>> How is he?
>> He's a [ __ ] [ __ ] Won't even let me leave the halfway house. I want you to know I appreciate all the packages you sent me on the inside.
>> I wonder how long he's been in jail.
>> You son of a [ __ ] I see you sitting there, but I don't believe it. How you doing, toothpick? Hey, >> Toothpick being your nickname is crazy.
He doesn't look like a toothpick, you know? Where does it come from?
>> He's like, Vic, Vic, I'm so glad somebody's finally here who knows what's going on. My son Eddie is a [ __ ] I mean, I love the guy, but you know, he's flushing everything down the toilet.
I >> mean, that's what you said, right? I mean, tell him yourself. Oh, they >> come in and ask me how business was. You don't lie to a guy just don't feel very true.
>> Wait. Yeah, I knew that was going to happen.
>> How ridiculous though.
>> You sick bastard, Vic. You tried to [ __ ] me in my father's office.
>> Whatever you want to do in the privacy of your own home, go to it. But don't try to [ __ ] me. I mean, I don't think you that way.
>> Yeah. Listen, if I was a butt cowboy, I wouldn't even throw you to the posi.
>> No, you wouldn't.
>> You keep me for yourself, >> right?
>> Eddie, you keep talking like a [ __ ] I'm going to slap you like a [ __ ] >> COME ON, MAN. Enough of that [ __ ] I'm sick of it.
>> Come on. Yeah, calm down. The fake laughing, too.
>> Who's your PO?
>> See more Skaggnitty won't even let me leave the halfway house unless I get some shitty job.
>> You come back to work for us, man.
First, I got to prove to uh assad that I can get a regular, you know, job type job.
>> I'll get you down to Long Beach as a dock worker. I don't want to lift no [ __ ] crates, hoodie. You don't got to lift [ __ ] You don't even work there.
But as far as the records are concerned, you do.
>> All right. Yeah. Yeah. Of course.
>> You got a time card. It's clocked in and out for you every day. And at the end of the week, you get a nice paycheck. And if he decides to make a surprise visit, that's the day we sent you to Tustin.
>> Of course.
That sounds so chill. How would you feel about pulling a job with about five other guys?
>> I'd feel great about it.
>> Yep. It's so interesting to see how everyone got into it.
>> Well, I sound like I'm [ __ ] joking.
>> He's [ __ ] driving around with a cop in his trunk.
>> Yeah, that's crazy.
>> I don't know who's got the loot. I don't know if anybody's got the loot. I don't know who's dead. I don't know who's alive. I don't know who's caught. I don't know who's not.
It is so chaotic. Of course it is. But I do have to say Vic is so calm. Like I love his energy. It's so fun. Especially compared to the other guys who are just so panicking so much.
>> You're going to shut up, pal.
>> You hear me? Cuz you're going to [ __ ] talk. You're going to [ __ ] >> [ __ ] know anything.
>> Yeah, maybe he doesn't know anything.
>> Holy [ __ ] Orange is dead. No, he's not dead. But he will be if we don't get him taken care of. I just thought about Orange though. He might be dead at this point. You >> [ __ ] [ __ ] turn a jewelry store into >> Don't you call me an [ __ ] >> You [ __ ] idiot. TURN A [ __ ] JEWELRY STORE.
>> DON'T YOU CALL ME SO [ __ ] IDIOT.
>> I WONDER WHY THE [ __ ] COPS SHOW UP, >> RIGHT? YEAH, EXACTLY.
>> I talked to Dove. He says, "Daddy's coming down here and he's [ __ ] pissed."
>> Nobody's got a clue what happened to Mr. Blue.
>> Either he's alive or he's dead or the cops got him or they don't.
>> Yeah, I guess that's that's all the options, right? Maybe he could tell us who the [ __ ] set us up. If you [ __ ] beat this prick long enough, he'll tell you YOU STARTED THE GODDAMN Chicago fire. Now, THAT DON'T NECESSARILY MAKE IT [ __ ] SO.
>> YEAH, TRUE.
>> Somebody at least tell me one little [ __ ] favor just for my sake.
>> I got a bag. Okay, >> now let's go get it. White and pink.
>> Take a car each. I'll follow you. You ditch them. Pick up the stones.
>> You can't leave these guys here with him. Why not? Cuz he's a [ __ ] psycho.
I told these guys about staying put. Mr. White rips out his gun. He's sticking it in my face, calling me a [ __ ] saying he's going to blow me away.
>> I mean, Vic truly is a psychopath. It's just so funny, too.
>> He went crazy in the store, but he seems all right now.
This is what he was doing. Bam. Bam.
>> I told him not to touch the [ __ ] alarm. They did. If they hadn't done what I told them not to do, they'd still be alive.
>> Of course. Yeah.
>> [ __ ] hero.
>> Thanks.
>> He's so funny.
>> You guys should never have taken them out of the trunk in the FIRST PLACE.
>> TRY AND FIND out we KNEW ABOUT THE SETUP.
>> THERE IS NO [ __ ] SETUP. LONG, YOU STAY HERE AND TAKE CARE OF THESE TWO.
WHITE AND PINK, YOU COME WITH ME CUZ IF JOE GETS HERE AND HE SEES ALL THESE CARS PARKED OUTSIDE, I swear to he's going to be just as mad at me as he is at you.
This is just so such a nightmare. This entire situation, they're portraying it so well though. The dialogue in the acting, it's just perfect.
>> Alone and laugh.
>> Oh no.
I was scared of this. What is he going to do to him? I think he's capable of anything.
>> I think I'm parked in the red zone.
Okay, >> I told you I don't know anything about any [ __ ] setup. I've been on the course of only 8 months. They don't tell me anything.
>> Oh, no. Stop it. I believe him.
>> You can torture me all you want.
>> Torture you? That's a good That's a good idea. I like that one. Sounds >> Even your boss said there wasn't a setup.
>> My what?
>> Your boss?
>> Yeah, that's not his boss. No. Oh, he didn't like that. Oh, no. I don't have a boss.
Nobody tells me what to do. You understand? Agree what I said, you son of a [ __ ] >> Oh god. He's getting angry and I don't like it.
>> I don't really give a good [ __ ] what you know or don't know, but I'm going to torture you anyway.
>> Oh god.
>> Not to get information >> just for fun.
>> It's amusing uh to me to torture the cop.
>> Okay. All you can do is pray for a quick death.
>> I'm terrified. He truly is absolutely psychotic.
>> Oh no. What?
Why is he so scary? It's not even funny.
He's so unpredictable and he's playing this so well.
>> You ever listen to K Billy's super sounds of the 70s?
He can't even talk. It doesn't matter.
He's just going to do whatever he wants.
Oh no. This is so horrible.
>> Oh no. And the shots are so disturbing.
Just the music and him dancing and you just know there's no humanity in him.
>> I'm horrified. I'm just horrified.
What? What is he doing? What is he cutting out? Oh no, >> I'm freaking out.
>> Please don't show it. Oh no. No. That's actually terrible.
>> Was that as good for you as it was for me?
>> Hey, what's going on?
>> Did you hear that?
>> Stop it. It's not funny. This poor guy.
He has to get out. But I don't think he's going to survive this.
What is he doing? He freaks me out so much. I just I can't even look at him anymore. He already freaked me out as Bud and kill Bill, but now Oh no. Is he going to burn him alive?
But again, this must have been so much fun to film. You can tell he's having the time of his life as a psychopath.
>> Oh no.
>> This poor cop. He knows exactly what's going to happen.
>> Stop.
>> What?
>> What's the matter?
>> Don't do this. Stop. Just talk to me for this. Don't. Please don't. Don't burn me.
>> Yeah. He you would try to somehow reason with him, but you have no chance.
>> I got a little kid. No, PLEASE.
>> OH, WOW.
Thank you. I was terrified.
He's not dead. Look at him saving the day.
What a hero, honestly. But now what?
I really don't know what to say. Is he going to get up and talk?
>> They both look so dead. Like barely alive.
>> Hey.
>> Oh [ __ ] >> Hey.
>> Hey you.
>> Hey you.
Oh no.
>> What's your name?
Marvin, >> I shot Marvin in the face.
>> Listen to me, Marvin. I'm a Listen me, Marvin Nash. I'm a cop.
>> I was thinking about it right then.
>> I know you did.
>> He did.
>> Yeah. Your name's Freddy something.
>> And that's why he shot Vic. That's when I thought about it for a second.
>> Introduced us about five months ago.
>> Oh, >> I don't remember that at all.
>> Oh no. Can one of them at least survive?
>> How do I look?
>> What?
>> Why would you ask him? He's literally lying in a pool of his own blood.
>> I don't know what to tell you, Marvin.
The [ __ ] >> What a crazy situation.
>> Marvin, >> I need you to hold on.
>> This cop's waiting moving a block away.
WHAT THE [ __ ] ARE THEY WAITING FOR?
>> RIGHT. BUT the way Marvin knew, too. And he didn't say anything, so he knew who the person was.
>> I'M [ __ ] DEFORMED. [ __ ] YOU. I'M [ __ ] DYING HERE. I'M [ __ ] DYING.
>> YEAH, RIGHT. Not to make him move to Joe Cab shows up.
Something to get him.
All right.
>> Is that going to be quick enough though?
And are the cops going to be quick enough to act when it happens? This is so stressful, but so funny. Why is it so funny and horrifying at the same time?
>> Cabb is doing a job and take a big fat guess who wants on a team.
>> This better not be some kind of Freddy joke, man.
>> I'm in there. I'm up his ass.
>> He's good. I really didn't think about him for so long. Only because he got shot. There's actually not even a reason, right?
>> We get there and I meet Joe and a guy named Mr. White. It's a phony name. My name is Mr. Orange.
>> Hey, Mr. Orange. Have you ever seen this [ __ ] before?
>> Who?
>> Mr. White.
>> Yes, Mr. Orange. Mr. White.
>> He's really not taking it seriously. It sounds crazy.
>> Two of you talking.
>> Who? Me and Joe.
>> Mr. White.
>> A little about what?
>> Brewers. If this crook's a Brewers fan, his ass has got to be from Wisconsin.
And I bet you everything from a little D Joe to a damned if I know that in Milwaukee they got a [ __ ] on this Mr. White motherfucker's ass.
>> Oh. Mhm.
>> As you go through the mugs of all the guys from old Milwaukee with a history of armed robbery. Put a name to the face.
>> Yep. Right. That's so good.
>> How was Long Beach Mike's referral?
>> Perfecto. Tony was Long Beach Mike. I did the poker game with a nice guy called to check it out. Set up his AO.
Okay. Dude right by him. He's a good guy. I wouldn't be inside if he wasn't for him.
>> Long Beach Mike is not your [ __ ] amigo, man. Long Beach Mike is a [ __ ] scumbag. He is selling out his amigos.
>> A >> use the commode story.
>> What's a commode story?
>> It's a scene, man. Memorize it.
Undercover cops got to be Marlon Brando, right? To do this job, you got to be a great actor, >> right? Yeah. Fair. Absolutely.
>> Cuz if you ain't a great actor, you're a bad actor. And bad acting is [ __ ] in this job.
>> I love this. This is so much fun.
>> I got to memorize all of this. There's over four [ __ ] pages of [ __ ] Just think about it like it's a a joke. All right. You memorize what's important.
The rest you make your own. All right.
>> Mhm.
>> You can tell a joke, can't you?
>> Nope.
>> Yeah. Nothing worse than telling jokes.
Honestly, >> this particular story takes place in a men's room. So, you got to know all the details about the men's room. You got to know if they got paper towels or a blower to dry your hands with.
>> You got to know if the stalls ain't got no doors or not, man.
>> Yeah. You got to know all the details to sell the story, right?
>> You got to remember this story is about you. The only way to do that, my brother, keep saying it.
saying it and saying it and saying it and saying it.
>> Crazy. Just crazy.
>> I still had a connection which was insane cuz couldn't get any weed any [ __ ] word.
>> They give me a call and they say, "Hey, Freddy."
Say, "Hey, dude."
>> Yeah. Leave out the name. He also has such a chill energy compared to him having been shot in the car and freaking out, which is fair. Obviously, >> I got to be a pain in the ass. People call me on the phone. all the [ __ ] time. I couldn't even run a [ __ ] tape without six [ __ ] phone calls interrupting me.
>> What a cool place. This looks so good this entire shot. And he's still memorizing. I love it.
>> 86. There was a major [ __ ] drought.
Nobody had anything. People were living on resin, smoking the wood in their pipes for months.
>> Is that Joe?
>> She had a brick of weed she was selling.
She didn't want to go to buy alone. Her brother usually goes with her, but he's in county unexpectedly. Watch for his traffic tickets. They stopped him for something. Found warrants on him to county. He is convincing them.
>> Picking the guy up at the train station.
>> Wait a minute. You go to the train station to pick up the buyer with the weed on you.
>> Yeah. A guy needed to ride away. Don't ask me why.
>> Careful. They are truly questioning everything.
>> So, I walk into the men's room and who's standing there?
Four Los Angeles County Sheriffs and a German Shepherd.
>> Yeah.
>> I walked through the door. They all stopped what they were talking about and they looked at me.
>> That's hard, man. That's a [ __ ] hard situation.
>> He is selling it. Well, it's so good to actually make it happen so that it's actually a memory for him to talk about.
>> Panic hits me like a bucket of water.
First, there's a shock of it. Bam, right in the face. I'm just standing there drenched in panic and all these sheriff's looking at me.
>> This is so well done.
>> They can smell it. Sure as that [ __ ] dog can. They can smell it on me.
>> Shut up.
>> Hey. So, so anyway, I got my gun drawn, right? And I got to point it right at this guy. I tell him, "Freeze, don't >> love it. They look so nice back there."
And the dog, too.
>> And I scream at him. I go, "Asshole, I'M GOING TO [ __ ] BLOW YOU AWAY RIGHT NOW. PUT YOUR HANDS ON THE DASH."
>> I love that they're all involved. Like, they're all so ready to do this.
>> The guy snaps out of it and casually puts his hands on the dash.
>> What was he going for? This [ __ ] registration.
These scenes just feel so real.
>> You know how to handle that situation.
Just shooting your pants and dive in and swim, >> man. Yeah. These shots, they're so good at capturing a certain feeling and then just making you feel like you're there with the characters, too.
>> You remember the Fantastic 4?
[ __ ] looks just like the thing.
That's something I haven't watched, which maybe I am going to watch at some point.
>> Be right down.
>> Mhm.
>> Be right down.
>> He's in. He did such a good job.
Honestly, what a legend. I don't want him to die. I really hope he's going to make it somehow. This also means that he probably heard everything that was said by the other guys because he was conscious all this time, right?
No. M.
>> Don't [ __ ] out of me now.
>> They don't know. They don't know. [ __ ] >> Oh, yeah.
>> You're not going to get hurt.
>> Oh my god. What a crazy thing to say after what we've seen.
>> I would be there though. It's so scary.
Even though he does know what he's doing. He's good at it. But one of daddy's clubs. It's a black cocktail waitress named E Lois. She looked like uh Christy Love. Apparently, Lady E was married to a real piece of dog [ __ ] I mean, a real [ __ ] animal. He falls asleep on the [ __ ] couch. She sneaks up on him and she put some wacko glue on on his dick >> and glues his dick to his belly.
>> How would you feel if every time you had to take a piss, you had to do a [ __ ] hand?
>> Well, let me tell a joke. Five guys sitting at a bullpen wondering how the [ __ ] they got there. Finally, someone comes up with the idea. Wait a minute.
While we were planning this, caper, all we did was sit around and tell [ __ ] jokes.
>> Yeah. Well, >> we're going to be using aliases on this job. Under no circumstances do I want any one of you to relate to each other by your Christian names. And I don't want any talk about yourself personally.
>> I love how Vic is just pretty much not listening. He really doesn't care.
>> Hear your names.
Mr. Brown, Mr. White, Mr. Blonde, >> Mr. Pink.
>> Why am I Mr. Pink?
>> Because you're a [ __ ] All right, >> why can't we pick our own colors?
>> I thought about all the colors. I was like, what? What was his?
>> Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow.
>> Yeah, but Mr. Brown, that's a little too close to Mr. [ __ ] >> Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. [ __ ] How about if I'm Mr. Purple? Some guy has some other job as Mr. Purple. You're Mr. Pink.
>> Just accept it, you know. I mean, what about pink? It's okay.
>> There's two ways you can go on this job.
My way or the highway.
>> Jesus Christ, Joe. [ __ ] it. Forget about it. It's beneath me, you know. I'm Mr. Pink. Let's move on.
>> Yeah, let's go.
>> I'll move on when I feel like it. You always guys got the goddamn message.
>> Yes, Joe. Got the message.
>> So goddamn mad. How are you guys? I can hardly talk. Let's go to work.
He's so disgusted. Now, let's see how they made this happen.
>> You two take the manager in the back and make him give you the diamonds. What happens if the manager won't give you the diamonds?
>> When you're dealing with a store like this, they haven't shirted up the ass.
They're not supposed to give you any resistance whatsoever.
>> I mean, it's a good thing we got Vic, who just started shooting everyone.
>> Now, if it's a manager, that's a different story. If you want to know something he won't tell you, cut off one of his fingers.
>> Okay, >> the little one. Then tell him his thumbs next. After that, he'll tell if he wears lady's underwear.
Freddy is just overthinking all his life choices right now.
>> Why is he bleeding? Wait, was that after he was shot in the head? That's impossible.
>> Jesus.
>> Wasn't he just driving?
>> Got blind, man. I'm [ __ ] blind.
>> You're not blind. You just got blood in your eyes. All right.
>> Oh, that's so bad.
I still want to know how Mr. Orange how Freddy was was shot.
>> Did he die or not?
>> He did.
>> Let's go.
>> Let's go. Yeah, he's definitely gone.
They need him behind the camera, so he can't get too many scenes.
>> Hold it right there.
>> Get a [ __ ] car.
>> Yeah, woman. Oh, he obviously didn't want to shoot her.
Oh, >> this blood scared the [ __ ] out of me, Larry.
I'm going TO DIE. I KNOW IT.
>> And he still hasn't died. So, maybe he's going to make it.
>> What the [ __ ] happened? Slashed the cop's face, cut off his ear, was going to burn him alive.
>> Yeah.
>> What?
>> Uh, I don't know if they are going to like that.
>> This cop.
>> No.
>> Oh, no. Oh, I actually thought he was going to make it. Maybe >> that sick piece of [ __ ] was a stone cold psycho.
>> You can't ask the cop if you didn't just kill him. Talk about what he was going to do.
>> H I do think they're going to notice.
>> Doesn't make sense.
>> What?
>> You're saying that Mr. Blonde was going to kill you and then when we got back he was going to kill us, take the satchel of diamonds and scram. I'm right about that, right? That's correct. That's your story.
>> Uh, they don't believe him. Except for Mr. White.
>> He got caught at a company warehouse full of hot items. He could have [ __ ] walked. All he had to do is say my dad's name, but he didn't. He kept his [ __ ] mouth shut.
>> That's not good.
>> You're telling me that now that this man is free, and we're making good on our commitment TO HIM, >> HE'S JUST GOING TO DECIDE OUT OF THE [ __ ] BLUE TO RIP US OFF?
>> I don't like this. This may have set us up.
>> Damn it.
>> Dad, I'm sorry, but I don't know what the hell's happening.
>> It's all right, Eddie. I do.
>> Oh, no.
>> That lump of shit's working with the LAPD.
>> I don't have the slightest [ __ ] idea.
>> What's talking about?
>> Please, Mr. White, help.
>> Trust me on this. You've made a mistake.
>> Come on, Mr. White.
>> He's a good kid. I know this man. He wouldn't do that. YOU DON'T KNOW JACK'S [ __ ] I DO.
>> UH, >> he was the only one I wasn't 100% on. I should have had my [ __ ] head exam and go in the head when I WASN'T 100%.
>> THAT'S YOUR PROOF.
>> YOU DON'T NEED PROOF when you have instinct.
>> I mean, he's right, but also that's no proof.
>> You lost your [ __ ] mind.
>> I love Larry. He's wrong, but I love him.
>> We're supposed to be [ __ ] professionals.
>> Larry, look.
>> Is everyone just going to die?
>> It's been quite a long time.
>> Happen.
>> Joe, if you kill that man, you die next.
We have been friends and you respect my dad and I respect you, but I will put [ __ ] bullets right through your heart. You put that [ __ ] gun down.
>> Just everyone put the gun down. COME ON.
>> LARRY, STOP PUTTING THAT [ __ ] GUN AT MY DAD.
>> And they're all dead. Yeah. No. I can't believe this. Of course, everyone was just going to die.
Oh, except for is Mr. pink not shot and he's just going to get the stones.
Is he going to be the only one going?
That can't be happening. I'm so mad. I wanted Freddy to make it out somehow.
Wow, what a sight to look at. And Freddy is still moving. So Oh, and Larry actually believed in him until the end.
He only got shot because he truly believed Freddy and and shot Joe.
Damn it.
>> Emma.
>> Oh god, he's just saying it. Oh no. Oh, that's really bad. Don't burst Larry's bubble. I'm sorry.
>> Oh no. Is Larry going to kill him now?
>> Is he going to strangle him?
Yeah, that's really bad. Imagine hearing that. You shouldn't have said that.
>> Oh, no. No. I don't want to look. Why would you say that?
>> DROP THE [ __ ] GUN, BUDDY.
>> COME ON. Drop the bun. The bun. the gun.
Huh?
Did Larry pull the trigger on Freddy?
But also the cops killed Larry. Is that what happened? All right, so this was Reservoir Dogs. And I mean, what a crazy movie. I know I say this about every Tarantino movie, but just everything happening. And can I just talk about the premise because I think that was so so good right from the start and it was so intriguing. Freddy bleeding out and being terrified and then this whole thing revealing itself and the robbery, them talking about it and trying to figure out who it was. And honestly, I didn't even think about Freddy. I can't believe I didn't think about that because yes, he got shot, but also we didn't know if it actually happened, you know, how it happened, if it was just in a chaos and he did say that it was a woman and not a cop. So, it kind of it was there all along, right? The clues. And I just I did not think about it at all. But just that moment when he killed Vic, that's when for a second I was like, "Oh, is he actually on the cop's side?" Because if he if he wasn't, he wouldn't have done it. Because yes, he could also feel bad for what what was about to happen to Marvin, but I just thought, okay, it is a little bit too it's too obvious. But then I was so shocked about Marvin almost dying and then Vic being killed and that whole thing.
and then he already revealed himself and I was like, "Oh my god, I couldn't I didn't even think about it." So yeah, I'm so overwhelmed with this whole movie and now the ending too.
Everything was just so much fun. Even though it was such a bloody mess and especially that scene with Vic dancing to the music and just being a fullon psychopath, that is some horrifying [ __ ] I'm sorry. That's just the acting by everyone in this movie. I do have to say, insane. Just insane. It was so much fun to watch them on screen and you could just tell they had the best time filming this and they gave it their all and you could just feel it. And combined with the shots and the music and the atmosphere that was created, it's just it's such a great movie. I'm so impressed because I really didn't know what to expect by this movie. I I really hadn't heard that much about this movie compared to, you know, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Janguan Jane, which I have seen, or In Glorious Bastards, which I've also seen. So, I do know Tarantino movies, but this one wasn't really like super at the top of the list, but now that I've seen it, it might be one of my favorites. It was just so crazy but so so well done and kind of reminded me the most of pulp fiction because the way the story was told too and then we kind of got to put things together more and more. It was just so so much fun. I can't believe the way it ended. I still want to know who got shot in the end. I do think they're both dead. I don't know if they could have survived even if they had gotten help in the end right there.
But I do think both Larry and what was his name? Freddy are dead now. So many shots in the end. I was so confused. But I have been confused this entire movie.
But also it was just it was incredible.
So yeah, what a crazy ride and what a cool movie I have to say. So let me know what you thought about this movie. Thank you so much for watching as always and I'm going to see you on my next reaction.
