The Future of Cartoon Network Animation

[00:00:00]Hey guys, what's up? Sir Bianca the daring orca and the ever reliable ship steward and Cyril the anchovy. Together they navigate the choppy waters of friendship and self-discovery. Yeah, I really like the art for this one. It kind of reminds me of Jimmy Two Shoes. I think that was the name of the show. It was on Disney XD.

[00:00:45]Yeah, the art style looks pretty good. I like Submarine Jim. I like Jim's character design the most. Now that I'm looking at the other characters, I don't really like them as much, but it's kind of one of those things where you have to watch the show. You watch the show and then you fall in love with it. So, hopefully this show comes to Cartoon Network in America, but I don't know why networks do weird things like that. It's like, "We'll air the show. We'll air the show, but it'll be like Cartoon Network like Canada, Cartoon Network France or something."

[00:01:15]I'm making a joke, but I know that Cartoon Network Europe has its own original shows and Gumball, I don't know if people know this. Gumball is actually a European show. I know it's aired in America and everywhere, but Gumball is a European show. It probably says Cartoon Network Europe on there somewhere, but you know, people don't pay attention or something. So, this looks pretty good and let's just go ahead and move on to the next cartoon on the list. Next up is the unfiltered world of Animalu.

[00:01:45]This show was hard to find any information on mainly because none of it is in English. It seems like this started on YouTube and grew into an actual show. Animalu is an original series released by Cartoon Network Latin America. The show debuted as leader for all pay TV in Brazil and stayed as the second most watched show for kids during the first month upon release. In a series of 26 episodes and a special Sin Cartoon, Anima Lou show brings the well-known late-night concept to the world of cartoons. Working as a Cartoon Network TV host, Anima Lou interviews famous characters such as Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, and Gumball and Darwin.

[00:02:28]She also brings cooking and singing competitions and interacts with the Cartoon Network universe. So, this information is for her talk show, but it seems like there's also a show of her in school.

[00:02:41]I don't really know what's going on here. I had trouble finding any information on this, but it seems like there's two different shows. It seems like this is very popular. It started on YouTube, which is awesome. It's cool to see YouTubers make it and kind of get into like the more mainstream sort of media. So, getting onto Cartoon Network can probably push your reach out a lot more, assuming people are watching. And it seems like this is already popular, so maybe the audience just showed up. I don't really know. I just think the art style looks beautiful. This looks like a great show. Finally, we have Goat Girl, which has some episodes on YouTube if you want to watch it. The series is about GG, who was raised by mountain goats and attends boarding school at age 13. Having had minimal human contact, this marks her first real exposure to society, prompting overseers, nanny, and Billy to push her to spread her wings among people versus goats. This one's a little weird. This one's a little weird.

[00:03:36]The art style kind of reminds me of Rick and Morty. I personally like the art style, but some people kind of complain about different art styles. Like they'll say like all modern cartoons look the same, which they don't. Or they'll say like a bunch of shows such as the ones on Adult Swim all look the same which kind of has some truth to it. I know there's a few different Adult Swim shows that do look different, but I think they're more so talking about like the cheap sort of art style that Adult Swim cartoons tend to have.

[00:04:06]Rick and Morty doesn't have that. Rick and Morty has a lot of money and you can see that in some scenes where the animation just kind of jumps, but there are definitely some Adult Swim originals that aren't very popular that don't look the best. I think this show looks pretty good. I think it looks pretty cool. I like the concept of putting the character in a new situation for herself.

[00:04:27]But I do think it looks kind of weird.

[00:04:29]Just the fact that like she was raised by goats. Now it looks like she's being raised by humans or they're taking care of her at least and now she has to go to school. I imagine this will be a situation where she's like the weird new kid at school and then she'll be like my goat mom did it this way. My goat dad did did it this way. And then um she'll be like oh my human taker my human caretaker or something did this for me or show me how to do this, you know.

[00:04:55]It's probably about like her learning how to be human or like balancing like the goat and the human aspects of herself. But yeah, those are the new cartoons coming to Cartoon Network, but not in America. What do you guys think?
