You Can’t Work—So Why Did SSA Deny You?

Unfortunately, you are not alone. 1.9 million people apply for their benefits on average annually and about 687,000 get their benefits. It's a big gap between those that get and those that apply. And many qualify, but here's what happens. With Social Security, it doesn't matter how many conditions you have or what the conditions are. You could have 10 conditions, but somebody with two conditions could get approved.

[00:00:35]And the person with two conditions could have their conditions tied to limitations that allow Social Security to understand that this person, for example, can't sit for more than 15 minutes or stand for more than 20 minutes or [snorts] lift more than 8 lb and this person was a floor nurse for the last 10 years and they're not able to do that job.
