Right here we have Comet 46P/Wirtanen passing directly in front of the iconic Orion Nebula. What makes this so insane is the absolute contrast in time. The glowing blue streak is a comet from the Oort Cloud. It's basically a dirty cosmic ice cube left over from the birth of our solar system billions of years ago.
But behind it, the massive pink cosmic cloud is the Orion Nebula, which is a giant baby star nursery only about 2 million years old.
