This video demonstrates how to create beautiful handmade cards by combining PET tapes with repurposed packaging materials from craft supplies. The presenter showcases seven different card designs using various PET tape designs (including heritage snippets, Misti Blush, Misty Breeze, Petal Post, Aurora House, Bloomhouse, Dusty Blue and Cinnamon, Sunflower and Navy, and Frosty Rose) along with packaging pieces from crafting supplies. The key concept is that creative card making doesn't require complicated techniques or brand new supplies—crafters can achieve stunning results by combining existing materials in new ways and repurposing packaging that would otherwise be discarded.

Turn Packaging Pieces Into Cards! 7 Easy Sketch IdeasAdded:
Hello crafty friends. This is Anya General with Ink Paper Scissors.
Welcome back to my channel. I am super excited about today's video because it's all about using what you have along with some beautiful PET tapes.
I always love finding ways to repurpose things in my craft room and stretch my supplies even further. So, I'm excited to show you what I came up with today.
But more on that in just a bit. Before I started creating, I went online and searched for a few new card sketches for inspiration.
I printed four sketches to a page so they would be easy to reference while crafting.
I believe most of the sketches I'm using today can be found on the Freshlymade Sketches blog or the Cards TV website.
In today's video, I'll be sharing seven stunning cards that came together surprisingly quickly and easily. I can't wait for you to see how they all turned out and how versatile these sketches and tapes can be.
You'll find all the products I used linked in the video description below.
But since YouTube does have a character limit, I've also included everything in my visual supply list. That's where you'll find the full list of supplies along with all the product links in one easy place.
And before we dive into the video, if you enjoy creative card making ideas, techniques, and inspiration to help you get more out of your crafting supplies, please consider giving this video a thumbs up and subscribing to my channel.
Your support truly helps me continue bringing you more crafty content.
Before we get started on the cards, I want to take a moment to show you some new PET tapes that I recently received.
The Washi Tape Shop has released some absolutely beautiful new designs, and I'm excited to share them with you.
This first one is the precut heritage snippets script tape.
I love the vintage inspired feel of this one. The layered script and collage style elements are perfect for adding texture and detail to cards, journals, or scrapbook layouts without adding bulk. Next is the precut Misti Blush PET tape. This tape has such a soft and romantic feel to it. The blush tones and delicate florals make it perfect for feminine cards, spring projects, or even wedding and friendship cards.
Next is the precut Misty Breeze PET tape. I love the soft blue tones in this design. It has a very calming feel and would work beautifully for everyday cards, sympathy cards, or even scrapbook layouts.
The artwork on this one feels very airy and peaceful.
Next is the precut petal post wide PET tape.
This tape is absolutely gorgeous if you love floral mail themed elements. I love the layered collage look with the florals and postage inspired details.
This one would be stunning for backgrounds or focal points on cards.
Next is the precut Aurora Housewide PET tape.
This design has such a cozy and whimsical feel to it. I love all the little house and architectural elements mixed with florals and soft colors. It feels almost storybook inspired.
Then we have the precut Bloomhouse wide pet tape.
This one coordinates beautifully with the previous tape, but has even more floral details throughout the design. I think this one would be amazing for spring and garden inspired projects.
Next is the precut dusty blue and cinnamon pet tape.
I absolutely love this color combination. The warm cinnamon tones paired with the dusty blues create such a rich and elegant palette.
This tape feels very sophisticated and would work beautifully for masculine or vintage style cards.
Next is the precut sunflower and navywide PET tape.
This one immediately caught my eye because of the contrast between the bright sunflowers and the deep navy tones.
It has a bold and cheerful look while still feeling elegant at the same time.
And the last one is the precut Frosty Rose PET tape.
This tape has such soft romantic tones and beautiful floral imagery. I think this one would be perfect for winter florals, elegant cards, or even Valentine's Day projects.
I honestly love them all. There are so many beautiful new PET sticker tapes from the Washi Tape Shop. I hope you take a moment to visit their website and explore all of their designs.
They really put a lot of thought and creativity into the artwork. And the fact that these designs are already colored is such a huge bonus and makes card making so easy and enjoyable.
Recently, I organized all of my ephemera packs and decided to keep a lot of the packaging materials because I thought they would be perfect for card making.
Many of these packages have beautiful printed designs. patterns and little elements that are just too pretty to throw away.
So, for today's cards, I'll be repurposing some of those packaging pieces and incorporating them into my designs.
I still have a large pile left over, which means there are so many more possibilities for future projects.
I always love looking at crafting supplies in a different way and finding creative ways to stretch what I already have.
Sometimes the packaging itself can become just as inspiring as the products inside.
It's also a great reminder to take a second look at things before tossing them into the recycling bin. You might discover some hidden crafting treasures.
Now, let's jump right into the card making.
Because these cards come together fairly easily and are mostly focused on inspiration and layout ideas, I'll be playing music while I work and assemble the cards.
I'll do my best to display all measurements on the screen as I go, but I won't be talking throughout most of the video since there really isn't a lot of explanation needed for these designs.
I always enjoy videos like this because they're relaxing to watch and a great way to gather ideas for using supplies you already have in your craft room. So, grab your coffee, sit back, relax, and enjoy the card making process.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Let's go.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
And those are the seven cards I created for today using card sketches, PET tapes, and repurposed ephemera packaging.
I honestly had so much fun putting these cards together, and I love how easy and relaxing this style of card making can be. It's such a great reminder that you really don't need a lot of complicated techniques or brand new supplies to create beautiful cards.
Sometimes combining things you already have in a new way can lead to some of your favorite projects.
Now, I'd love to hear from you. Which card was your favorite? And have you ever saved packaging from your crafting supplies to use on your cards or scrapbook layouts?
Also, what other things are you saving and repurposing in your craft room? I always love hearing creative ideas from other crafters, and I think it's inspiring to see how differently everyone uses their supplies.
