Stormy end to the week

[00:00:04]All right, folks, looking at cloudy skies now from the Ozark and home health and hospice camera. A gray day from sunup to now so far. We're going to poke some holes in these clouds though as the afternoon comes around, but man, generally a gloomy cloudy day right now.

[00:00:18]No rain to speak of at the midday hour.

[00:00:20]Things pretty quiet. It's fairly warm outside in the 60s right now with a steady southerly breeze. Jumping off to the west and northwest, we have two systems out here. We've got the big storm. That's the main pattern driver.

[00:00:32]That's sitting over Idaho. That has opened the door, kind of flipped the pattern around to where we'll get some storm systems to sneak around on the southern side. And the first one's coming in Thursday night. That one there sitting off of the northern California coastline, boosting our rain chances overnight Thursday into early Friday morning. Additional rain and storms possible Friday afternoon and evening.

[00:00:53]Saturday looks to be a dry day for the weekend and then more rain and storms Sunday into Monday coming our way.

[00:01:00]Looking at future cast, clouds again expected to decrease a little bit for this afternoon. That's probably not going to happen though until about 2 or 3:00 and afterwards. Looking up at Thursday, warm and windy here locally Thursday. Meanwhile, across northeastern Kansas, storms fire along a cold front Thursday evening. Not getting into western Missouri probably till after midnight. This will be a midnight through Friday sunrise event for us near north of I-44. So, the storms will be strong to severe. However, there's a cap in the Ozarks that might limit storm strength as they come this way. So, not a crazy wild event, but some locally heavy rain, thunder lightning, and some gusty winds occasionally with that storm system blowing in. By Friday midday, a little bit of a lull, but then the boundary keeps drifting southward. As it does, we're going to find an additional chance of maybe some showers and storms Friday afternoon south of I-44 into northern Arkansas. That clears away Friday night. Saturday looks like a dry day before more rain moves in on your Sunday. So, enjoy Saturday. It's a quiet day, a little soggy. So, maybe not going to be able to mow the yard that much, but Sunday more rain and storms return.

[00:02:09]And we'll find rain chances Sunday night and then another round of rain with a cold front coming in on your Monday. For today, 75° granted the clouds break away. Should be a warm day and a quiet day overall today. Winds not crazy.

[00:02:22]Tonight, upper 50s to near 60. Pretty mild to start the day on your Thursday.

[00:02:30]Temperatures close to 80. It's not until again a midnight time of arrival in western Missouri for storms to blow in with a cold front. It's a pretty good chance of rain. It's a low-end risk of maybe a stronger storm or two uh leaning towards north of I-44. Again, there's a weakening trend as the storms push southeast, but could find some wind gusts of up to 60 mph Thursday night, Friday morning. Friday afternoon, rain focus shifts south. Southern Missouri, northern Arkansas could find some wind and some hail with storm activity Friday afternoon. That there is also a low-end risk for it. So, okay. So, we kick things off Thursday night with rain and storms there lasting through the day Friday. Saturday's a quiet day.
