In the Season 2 finale of Succession, the Roy family faces a crisis where they must choose a 'blood sacrifice' to save Waystar Royco from the cruise scandal, revealing that corporate succession requires a 'violent regime takeover' where the successor must demonstrate willingness to kill to earn the patriarch's respect, as Logan Roy tests his children's ruthlessness by forcing them to sacrifice one of their own.

Succession FINALE REACTION 2x10 “This Is Not For Tears” COUPLE'S FIRST REACTION | Breakdown + ReviewAdded:
Hey guys, welcome back to our reaction to Succession. Today we are finishing out season two with episode 10. These are not for tears. I have a feeling there's going to be tears.
>> This is going to be a crazy finale. I can feel it.
>> Everything's been building.
>> A blood sacrifice is coming.
>> The tension is high.
>> Family be damned.
>> Greg just turned down a quarter of a billion dollars and now he's going to get crushed.
>> We should have expected that. that as soon as he said that >> honestly >> that something bad was going to happen to him.
>> As soon as he was like, "Okay, I just turned out a quarter billion dollars."
He was just like >> flush.
>> Yeah, >> he's being flushed.
>> Yeah. I don't know. You think it's Greg?
I think it's Tom. Tom's going to be >> both of them probably.
>> Yeah.
>> And they're probably going to try.
They're probably going to go down fighting because Greg's going to be like, "Well, I have this recording." And then >> Greg is most certainly going to go down fighting.
>> Yeah. And then Tom's going to look terrible and it's going to be absolutely horrible and I don't know what's going to happen. I wonder if Tom How long Tom is going to stay in the show? Yeah. You mean get divorced? Like I don't That's sort of what I'm saying. As we continue the show, in what regard are certain characters going to die or leave, right?
>> Die >> like Marca Like Marca is an example of that. Like is she is that relationship over? I feel like Logan's gonna die at the end.
>> I need I need to reflect on the fact that the show genuinely could go anywhere, especially with the whole turkey deal happening that you don't you don't particularly because like in the last season again it ended with such a weird turn where like things got it was all business and politics and then now it was about like crime. someone died, you know, and [music] is that again like will someone blow a gasket and murder one of the characters that we, you know, they've had these underlying like things get really blood bloody and really real quick like no the crash and I'm not thinking of the crash. I'm thinking of the guy who deleted in in the middle of the office, right? So just moment little things like that where you're just like okay how real would this get? Will Logan Logan's done crazy things. Bore on the floor, peed on the floor multiple times.
The show opened with that. So like >> he likes to [music] do that.
>> So like what what will he do? You know, how far will he go when his brain truly breaks? You know, those sorts OF DEALS.
>> SCREAM. [screaming] >> NO.
>> YEAH. So you wonder like will the writer or the writers take it so far as to like for our main characters like blood will be spilled, you know, that sort of deal.
I don't know. Maybe that's maybe that's uh would be overdramatic or maybe that's sort of overestimating what is going to be the drama. But >> well, some kind of blood sacrifice happen.
>> I guess I I guess I I don't I didn't mean that in regard to this. I just meant like eventually, you know, will things get really crazy cuz the tension the personal the personal tension and the personal angst amongst the different characters continues to grow. And we're only two seasons in. We have two more.
So, yes, I'm ready.

>> The thing is, Greg and Tom in their minds are low on the totem pole because they're in the family and they won't like retaliate, you know, versus Bill or whatever.
I can't believe he's testifying.
>> This is crazy. His mistakes and his stupid actions led him here.
>> Mr. Hers, please rise. Raise your right hand.
>> You swear that the testimony you're about to give this committee is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. To help you, God.
>> I do.
>> Please take a seat. Senator Evas, it's your time.
>> Gregory Hirs, executive assistant to Tom Wamsgans. Correct.
>> Yes.
>> Yes. If if it is to be said.
>> I'm sorry. What?
>> Uh, if it is to be said, so it be. So it is.
>> Are you all right?
>> Uh, yes. Uh, I'm merely wish to answer in the affirmative fashion.
>> You can speak to us normally.
>> No, thank you, sir. So I shall.
>> If you added Karolina, that's a decent bundle of leadership meat to feed the sharks.
>> Oh wow. Jerry said Frank, Ray, Carl.
>> Can we get rid of all of them?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> So, it wouldn't be Tom.
>> Hey, you asked, Logan.
>> Is he safe?
>> Roman, [snorts] we got him. His doctor, shrink, fresh clothes. We got him everything he needs.
>> What?
>> What happened?
>> Oh, no.
>> How's he [ __ ] calling me direct now?
Good to connect, Phillipe. Will you stay? I'm really sorry to bother you.
>> I'm on my way to see Datu in Venice.
He's very supportive, >> but I just wanted to check in because here's our position. I'm going to summarize. Obviously, no shareholder ordinarily would back a CEO facing the press you're getting, not to mention the litigation.
>> Well, of course, these aren't normal circumstances. I mean, you can't just flog the [ __ ] donkey for a few more laps and then let it die. We've hit a squall, >> right? But here's the thing, and this is strictly between us, but we need some cover. You know, Cruz stuff, congressional hearings, this kid today.
Now, I want to vote your ticket on the fundamentals. I just need something to show you get it.
>> You need a name. Jerry Carl Frank. Look, >> this is a hard call to make, Logan.
Honestly, this thing feels so toxic.
I've been taking soundings, and we we feel that probably it should be you.
>> Oh, boy.
Uhhuh.
>> So, yeah, that's why I thought I should be in touch.
>> Well, let me think on that. Let me think on that.
>> Thanks, Logan. Not an easy call. Not an easy one.
>> No, no, no, no. Sure, sure. Let me think. Bye, [laughter] >> man. He's crazy how he can cover up his like >> I tell you what, Greg might onto your list.
>> Oh, no.
>> Oh, boy.
>> You want a coffee? I >> Why not?
Such shiny black cars.
>> Leave after opening night. Return and triumph. Yeah, >> I don't need to see the reviews, you know. I don't care.
>> I mean, they might like it.
>> You might love it. I mean, maybe we can read the reviews in like a week or two.
>> Sure. First aboard. Early worm catches the best cabin port out. Starboard home.
>> Welcome to our city on the rock. It's like Venice, but it smells nice.
>> This is your life.
You just boarded your massive yacht or whatever.
>> Interesting. I'll tell you.
>> Okay. I No. Uh-huh. Yeah.
>> So nice.
>> Is this person Is she Is she still definitely into it?
>> Yeah.
>> It's the dream. I mean, it is threesome.
It's amazing.
>> What?
>> Ew. Is this Marsha's refit?
>> I think that >> her version of cutting up his ties.
>> I think he's just >> No, cuz I want you to see the benefits of the arrangement.
>> No. Yes. Thank you.
>> And it's really really exciting. Uh, but do you not think that with the with the family it might be a little I mean, why are we here? What is this?
>> Well, idea was a family mini break >> like close family and inflatables and mimosas and and the CFO and the general counsel.
>> Yeah, you know, vacation's not a vacation without the chief financial officer.
>> Like I just keep thinking about things I wish I said to the senators. Like I almost wish I just started out with you know >> woman no cry. Like what if no woman no cry to every single question, >> right? You you have uh reservations?
>> No. Do No, it's it's great. I mean, it's a very nice ship. It's a definitely a big ship. All right. Well, Marcia had it refitted, so you got to take your shoes off. I >> I might not.
>> No. That's the one rule on these things, man. Take deck. No shoes.
>> Uh and what if what if your toenails are not all that aesthetically pleasing?
Sails out, nails out, bro.
>> Massive bumpers.
>> It's so crazy. Look at this. It's so decadent.
>> Yeah, it's wild.
>> It's the biggest ship. Oh my gosh.
>> Reminds me of tenant.
>> Apparently, have you heard this?
>> All right.
>> All those scenes on that on that.
>> I'm a fan.
>> One of the conheads sent it in. I'm a meme.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Yeah. [laughter] >> Oh, the conheads are loving this.
>> You know, this is this is really all very very positive.
Is that a goodie? Did you read a goodie?
[laughter] Oh, [ __ ] it. Just tell me. Come on. How are they?
>> Uh, a mixture.
>> Okay. Well, read me one. Read me one good one.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> He scrolls.
>> What did the time say?
>> Oh, baby. You know what? I think let's just have a good time and then, you know, when we're ready for a laugh, >> let me take a look.
>> You know, why don't we just >> give me think. Just stop.
>> Just Just ignore the headline. Okay.
Disregard. Oh no.
>> I knew she was going to do that.
>> Okay. Wow.
>> I totally like guessed in my mind that she was going to throw it over.
>> That's [cheering and applause] great.
>> They're alive.
>> Four seasons, right? Was How did you escape? Did you Did you like build a glider out of a Caesar salad?
>> Uh, you know, it was actually [ __ ] scary and we thought that they might kill us.
>> Well, who do all the Caesar salad?
>> Sorry, dude.
>> No, it's all right.
>> Seriously.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
But I'm no hero.
>> Pride to see. I'm an incredible hero.
Tired. Whatever. It was funny. Carl almost shot in a bucket and I have it on my phone. So, we will fully humiliate him later.
>> Oh, good. Yeah. Excellent. Yeah, do that.
>> I could use one of those [ __ ] cold beers.
>> So, how did it all go business-wise or did that get forgotten?
>> We can't say too.
>> Oh, okay. Promising.
>> Well, it's confidential. But the kid did good. Hey, that's fantastic. Hey, >> you're okay.
>> Thank you.
Wow, >> that looks nice.
>> A pool on a boat. So funny.
>> Yeah.
>> Rome, how you doing, buddy?
>> Well, go on. You haven't told me yet.
How was DC?
>> What? Uh, the hearings?
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah, pretty [ __ ] real.
>> Yeah, I watched. You did good.
>> Go on. For for for a crackhead [ __ ] on crack?
>> Nope. Oh, you did okay.
>> Yeah, Ken nailed it.
>> You know, a lot of people are saying I was dead. They saying that really >> dead cat. You never heard of that?
>> No.
>> Dead cat on the table. Suddenly everyone's looking at the dead cat and not talking talking about your dad, >> right? No. No. You drew you drew the fire.
>> Thank you.
>> Yeah. Rya's out.
>> Okay. So then instead of Rhea, whose big hairy foot's going to fit in the glass slipper? Washington Ken.
>> Me? Uh, no. I mean Rome. If you brought the goose home, could be anybody. I mean, why is Greg here?
>> Always ask that question. [laughter] >> Hey Greg, you ready to step up? Uh, it's a fungus. They think benign fungus.
>> Great title for your memoir.
>> What's that? [laughter] A benign fungus.
>> And I thought, you know, they were going to vacuum out my inards and fill me with concrete or something. Thought if we come through this, is there a thing where we like talk to each other about stuff normally?
>> Is there a thing >> you want to talk to each other normally?
>> Okay.
>> Gosh, siblings. I mean, >> talk about the big [ __ ] >> Yeah, we could talk about >> feelings.
>> How am I the mature one here?
>> We don't have any feelings. What are you talking about?
>> I can't I can't find it find it this endearing at all. I can't I'm sorry.
It's just >> emotional gunship.
>> Just disconcerting.
>> It's just weird. Mhm. We're under attack.
>> Particularly with them on their crazy massive yacht >> that can land a helicopter on it. Wow.
Oh boy.
>> Roman L. Carl. Business.
>> Carl.
Kendall's tiny fedora.
It's funny to me.
>> So, are you okay?
>> Yeah.
>> I had it got a bit tasty.
>> Yeah, we're fine. I've had worse experiences at hotels. I once stayed at a Marriott. They look after you. I spoke to the White House.
>> Yeah. They said they sent a warship, but I don't know. I think it was already there. Then the ambassador took us out for a shitty lunch and someone from the agency gave us the old Merllo waterboard >> on the money. Kid did great.
>> And I think Mr. Roy, you can take your firm private. Edward and his father have titular responsibility for the sovereign wealth. But the president's daughter's husband, Zenyal, is the key guy now. And Roman slam dunk it.
>> Zol figured out who we were. I thought we were going to get taken for a [ __ ] chainsaw massage, but no, we got an hour, pitched hard, and yeah, they say they want in.
>> Too modest. He killed say they can put in 10, Bill, Lar can put together the rest, and the exit horizon's like six years.
>> And you like it, Jamie?
>> Yeah, I think they can move fast and uh this sort of situation is all about relationships.
>> Well, that's that's [laughter] great.
>> I do have to say one thing, Dad. I did have a good conversation with Zenol and he said with his mouth that he wanted in and that's all great but if this is really serious for us I think I actually do have to say it feels like it is probably horseshit.
>> Uh come come kiddo.
>> They were flaky. There was a lot of [ __ ] going on >> that what >> Roman.
>> What do you mean by that?
>> Um they want to rebalance their portfolio >> uh for a variety of geopolitical reasons. Uh they're heavily European focused and he wants to tilt Western Hemisphere. It makes sense. Well, sorry for worrying my pretty little head, but if they're rebalancing their portfolio, it's [ __ ] insane to do it with one 10 bill mega deal rather than a ton spread across different sectors.
>> They said yes.
>> Well, sure they said yes. And maybe it's real. Maybe there's a 10 to 20% chance that you make what, like 100 million here. That's very exciting. But if we miss, we could be [ __ ] because it gets out we're looking at this kind of money.
It's going to be politically horrible.
We lose the proxy vote and we die, right?
>> It falls halfway through. It's terminal.
But but if it works, one bound and you're free.
>> I've done a little bullshitting in my time. He was a coke [ __ ] 3:00 a.m.
scotch and see you in the morning, man.
He ain't showing up.
>> Wow.
>> Be [ __ ] honest. He was bleeding to Carl. Dad, I wish it was real. I really [ __ ] do. But >> Carl, you can't lean on this. Not now.
>> I'm sorry, Jamie. Keep exploring. Keep talking. But I cannot pile my chips on something that isn't solid.
>> You are way off, Roman. You know what you're looking at if you don't go private. Larry, >> someone has to pay the price. Maybe you, Roman, or maybe one of your siblings. I suppose you'll have a fun little time ruining a life. Someone's getting tossed out of the balloon. And someone is likely going to jail. Good night, ladies and good luck.
>> Great speech, sir.
>> Okay.
>> Great speech.
He leaves. Goodbye.
>> I think maybe not the solution.
>> So, it's going to get uh choppy.
>> I can't [ __ ] believe it. I never did anything really. A good Catholic lad who couldn't even take his undershirt off in front of his wife, his ex-wife. Whatever the [ __ ] she is. Me and all the rest behave like a pack of [ __ ] stray dogs. No.
Okay.
>> It's so unsettling.
>> It is really unsettling.
>> Just watching them all have fun and acting normal.
>> Y >> with all this going on.
>> Private's off, right?
>> Just didn't trust them in the end. I can't explain why.
>> Cuz you're a bit racist.
>> I didn't think so. But there's always that possibility.
>> It's bad. Very, very bad.
>> What?
>> Okay.
>> Hey, Greg. What are you drinking?
>> I'm not sure. It's a rosé. It's not my favorite.
>> You got a favorite champagne now.
>> You can't help noticing.
>> It's fine. I'll drink it. It's just not my favorite.
>> Well, if you end up carrying the can for cruises, he'll be back to drinking milk from the saucer.
>> We're going private.
>> That's what that was about.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> It's going to be a hat on a spike.
>> Oh, boy. I see. I got I got why he said that. So now, so yeah. Yeah. Now they have to figure out who they're who they're >> a quick one, not a big >> killing essentially. um on reviews.
>> The play?
>> Yeah, just a spritz of praise, some poster toppings, the Chronicle or the Herald. Just uh could you lean a little bit? You know, something like not this, but something like um Kill for a Ticket or the theatrical event.
>> I do not like to lean on my people.
>> Oh, come on. I mean, you brought down a Canadian government over grain subsidies. You can't give me one [ __ ] lousy review.
>> Easy. I hear you j 500k on a fake Napoleon dick.
>> That's irrelevant. Look, pop.
>> What?
>> I'm actually hurt.
>> Remember, he was like, "That's Napoleon's penis. [snorts] >> Half a mill of the week. I've got Ostro.
I've got my campaign."
>> Sometimes it's hard to know what is like a reference.
>> What are you talking? [laughter] >> And what is just just actual actually the case?
>> 100 mil.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> A little 100 mil.
>> Come on, daddy.
>> Just a little 100 mil. But you have to quit your campaign >> just to financially indicate sound judgment. Good intention.
>> I'm floating policy. I got feelers. I got the >> It's a horseshit.
>> Everybody thinks you're a joke and you're [ __ ] embarrassing me, >> right? Thanks for your honesty.
>> Pull the plug and we'll get into it all.
But now I got bigger fish to fry.
>> Oh boy. I uh did not say there are a lot of whispers going around that not going to make tonight. I want to do the best thing get into a discussion about our missteps.
How we can indicate how sorry we are to the rest of the world. We're all pals here.
>> Everyone knows that >> someone's getting [ __ ] >> Everyone knows what that means.
>> Get the party started.
>> Boy, >> how we can let the world know that we're sorry for our mistakes. Everyone suddenly sitting there is like thinking, "Oh, is it me?"
>> [ __ ] off. How are you feeling?
Everyone's always mean to him, >> anxious, >> you know, in particular.
>> Why is he doing it like this, do you think? We're all pals here. Let's have a discussion. Like he suddenly wants our views cuz he loves advice.
>> It's running a show trial.
>> Mhm.
>> Get the whole pilot bureau to sign the death warrant. Then all our hands are bathed with blood.
>> Well, that's nice and lovely.
>> Yeah. The irony.
>> Who are you thinking?
>> Right. That they're all on a cruise.
>> Frank, here's going to be you.
>> Screw you.
>> Everyone's so mean. I thought his name was Larry for a second.
>> I got a book going.
>> You want to put a million on yourself?
I'll give you four to one odds.
>> What What exactly are we hearing here?
>> You're plausible.
>> Hey, I didn't say I wasn't.
>> No, you're actually a prime candidate.
Six to one.
>> This is This This is horrible. Roman, we're real people.
>> You are not. You claim to be real, but look at you.
>> Look at Not a real person.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Are real.
>> Your shorts match.
>> The irony of this episode is is strong.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> So, when were you going to ask Naomi, I I did I I I asked Carrie to send word to I mean, yeah, I uh I like her, Dad. And uh thought it could be a rough weekend, and I know there's history, but I mean, she's she's kind of a good one for me, Dad.
>> I wasn't properly informed, and I'm just not sure we have enough provisions.
>> Oh, nasty.
>> I found her.
>> That is so gross. I need privacy for everything.
>> Yeah, she gets it >> for everything.
>> No, she she'll she'll stay out of the way.
>> We don't have enough provisions.
>> I just don't want you [ __ ] on drugs.
>> And she's part of it, isn't she?
>> Oh boy.
>> He sees all that's >> Should I do the knock and invite her up?
>> No. This is real.
>> Is this >> This is real. It wasn't a euphemism, babe.
>> Yeah.
>> Wait, what?
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> Okay, >> babe. [clears throat] There was kind of kind of death sentence vibes, but >> wait, what?
>> What is happening?
>> Yeah, I wonder I wonder if there is something we could do. Um, I don't know if I have the vim for the full dirty.
>> I was right.
>> You were right. Okay. I thought it There's so many sexual innuendos in this that I thought it was a sexual innuendo and I didn't understand what they were talking about.
>> Oh my gosh. [laughter] >> Could I watch >> Oh yeah.
>> Or even better, could she watch us? even better.
>> Uh yeah, she could she she could watch us, see if she's but >> he just does not >> I mean I'm sure I will because it's so hot. Just a health warning. There's there's a chance that I might I might not be able to because I I probably because I haven't done a stadium gig before.
>> Honey, we'll help you.
>> Or she could not watch. We could put her in the bathroom and she could look through the keyhole. Tom, dude, get out of this >> entire life.
>> You're turning our threesome into a twosome. He's like, "That's the point. I just >> I just I'm sorry. Want to be normal. I just don't [laughter] >> I don't know how I don't feel that naughty tonight."
>> He's like, "Can we just cuddle?"
>> Uh, okay. That's fine.
>> Alone?
>> Yeah. I >> can we just be married?
>> No, no, no, no. I thought it would be something that we could do that would be exciting for us.
>> That's okay. Uh >> I'm so uncomfortable.
>> Go talk to dad anyway by tomorrow. So >> Oh, it's so uncomfortable.
>> So >> bye, Marca.
>> You're alone.
>> You should [clears throat] come.
>> She's leaving.
Come with me.
>> I I just um it's a big time.
>> Yeah. No, of course.
>> Hey, come on. This this is like objectively a crisis. I'm sorry. I am. I And he loves me. He He He does. I think it's just a wrong kind of love expression.
>> Yeah.
>> And he loves the wrong thing.
>> That's what he loves.
>> Dang. Wow. His face.
>> Maybe I'll meet you there.
>> He looks sad.
>> Maybe.
>> Oh, he looks like a little kid.
>> Always. Always. He always looks that way in when you know in those scenes.
>> May I offer you something to drink?
>> I will take a full bottle of Burgundy.
>> That's amazing.
>> Please. Thank you. Well, yes. For breakfast, why not?
>> Let's have a swim or relax and then we can chat.
>> I don't know how relaxing a time I'm personally going to be able to have, but sure.
>> Well, it's not going to be you, man. So, you can chill.
>> We stick together. Don't exist.
>> People >> Ford Motor Company hardly exists. is just a time-saving expression for a collection of financial interests. This exists because >> people don't exist.
>> It's a family. I think the obvious choice is me. So that's what I'd like to announce.
>> No, no, you can't.
>> Well, you know, I may not be responsible, but I have to stop somewhere.
>> Not in the middle of a process.
>> Yeah, cuz they have to he's act like he's falling on his thorn and they have to performative be like >> doesn't work. People find Rehea isn't coming in. I need one meaningful skull to wave if the shareholders meeting were to >> or on the floor >> we lose. I need to persuade a couple of big figures. Anyone like to say anything?
>> Someone offer yourself as tribute.
>> I'll take care of whoever it is. No one will be forgotten.
>> Well, I mean I doing this I don't want to spread [ __ ] around. We're all loyal servants. But so I I only say without malice of forethought. Presumably general counsel is center of the web.
Sorry Jerry, I like you. There is no one more loyal than Jerry.
>> What about Frank? I mean, how come Frank is even here today?
>> Thank you. Welcome. I can see it. I take it. I make sense, right? And after what [clears throat] he did to you, the boardroom coup.
>> Water under the bridge.
>> In a certain way, my my indiscretion against the family, I would say objectively makes me less of a compelling sacrifice.
>> Great play, great hand. I would say >> unlike >> uh uh for instance >> this guy >> a loyal servant like Carl.
>> Uhhuh. Uh I thank you.
>> I don't know how loyal I am.
>> Well, my thing I guess is that if uh Rehea is no more uh we're back to having uh we're back to Jerry as name successor. So that fattens her up for the kill, so to speak.
>> I guess everyone knew I was always just a name on a piece of paper.
>> Oh, I think you were always more than that. I think that's exactly >> plus. Well, hang on. First class on the company coin, >> right, Carl? I just went for the sports massage. I had no idea it was that sort of establishment.
>> Okay, Carl sounds good. Sausage thief.
>> You know, Jerry is theoretically kind of [laughter] perfect here. Here.
>> Uh, no. Theoretically, no. That's [ __ ] I disagree.
>> Roman is the only one going to bat for her >> because that's my opinion.
>> But your reasoning >> to pay for cruises, we we take out a senior woman. Haven't we, you know, kidding here, killed enough women already? I mean, I think the obvious choice is, and I hate to say it because he's such a swell guy, is >> Tom, >> excuse me.
>> Yeah, >> right. I know, but you know, head of cruises.
>> But I Well, I have been a loyal servant.
>> Yeah, but you know, if if if this laboratory time emotions extracted, Tom, I [ __ ] love you, dude. But you shot the bed over Mo Lester >> and I was sent in there as the beating as the [ __ ] beating man. I took the beating.
>> You got suckered in by Ebis. you don't answer the questions.
>> Okay, that's like rule one and you're kind of the face of this and look I'm saying boy >> and Shiv is not defending him. I'm just I'm saying it because this is the time movement for all saying things.
>> Yeah, I think Tom works kind of a clarity. I think >> everyone's happy for Tom to take it.
>> They don't care to speak to my qualities.
>> No, Tom looks logical.
>> What?
>> Cruz's document destruction.
>> What?
>> I'm not saying that it should be. I'm saying you're like family, which is good, but also not family, which is kind of good. Oh my god.
>> No, we can't. There's no need to say the elephant in the room. There are 15 other elephants in the room.
>> The testimony.
>> Literally family.
>> Why shouldn't it be you? Well, if it should be me, why why shouldn't it be you?
>> I'm not attacking you. I'm defending you.
>> Doesn't feel like that. Doesn't feel like that.
>> Okay. How do I work?
>> I don't know. I don't know. I'm just I'm not saying you. I'm just saying.
>> I I mean, I guess if we were saying shiv, we'd highlight witness tampering and uh know that she was going to take over, but I don't know. Probably it probably doesn't work.
>> Oh, yeah. Too right. It doesn't [ __ ] work. I don't make sense. I've never been inside.
>> What about both of them? Shiv and Tom.
[laughter] Beauty and the Beast.
>> Does Tom work?
>> Everyone knows.
>> Honestly, Tom, >> I don't think he's a big enough skull.
No offense.
>> Has to be Logan.
>> Then how about Tom with some [ __ ] Greg Sprinkles?
>> What? Greg Sprinkles?
>> Yeah, just a party pack. He was a sweetener.
>> Yeah, Elmo and Big Bird. I could start to see that. And then you throw in like a Carl or Frank or >> Oh my god. [laughter] >> No, why not? Well, these are just examples. No. What precisely are Greg sprinkles?
>> Greg sprinkles are basically a fantastic garnish to basically anyone seated at this table.
>> Okay.
>> Like a Tom sundae with a with a little Greg cherry on top.
>> No, I object. I really do.
>> Who cares?
>> I'm more than a sprinkle. What about you? What about Roman?
>> Me? Let's hear it. What's the pitch?
>> You're widely known as a horrible person.
>> Thanks. [laughter] >> It could be Roman.
>> There's another elephant in the room.
>> What about I just throw myself over the side? [laughter] Didn't see that coming.
>> Yeah, in return for a little payout. I'm cash straps. Just strap me into that sweet sweet golden parachute and toss me in the volcano.
>> Uh, what?
>> I'm sorry. I just I don't see that.
>> Eminos Grez.
>> What?
>> So, uh, old Rishelu here, uh, skulking around in the background, pulling the strings, the malign influence you're finally rid of.
>> That's, uh, that's kind of your call.
[laughter] Thank you. And, uh, we'll bear it in mind, dude.
Yeah. So I uh >> Conor's like kind of useless.
>> Need to reflect.
>> I wonder when he's going to explode.
>> Nobody takes you serious.
>> Half an idea. But uh yeah, later.
>> Yeah, just let it linger for even longer.
>> Do you have to? Do you have to >> let it linger?
>> What's We have an idea. What's that?
Half an idea.
>> Tom. It's Tom.
>> That means we're It's Tom, but we're letting it marinate longer before we >> Tom. But you're not big enough. That's half an idea. Tom with Greg Sprinkles.
>> Ken, can I get one word? Are we okay? I told her she was welcome, but uh >> Oh, she's on a hair trick.
>> Yeah, I I don't know. She um she just I don't know.
>> It might be humiliating.
>> But what I ought to do, I don't want to do.
>> This is the kind of >> I don't like it.
>> You don't like it? What's wrong with this one?
>> I can see a sea urchent. There are infinite coes. Let's find the perfect one.
>> This is the kind of marriage that you're just like, why at all? Why were they even dating? How that How did that even happen?
>> Well, yeah.
>> What?
>> We know why. There's reasons.
>> Thanks for meeting, man.
>> But it is ridiculous.
>> No, I know it's come, sir.
>> There's no seat. You guys need anything?
>> There's no relatability. No even real chemistry.
>> You guys good? You guys need anything?
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, maybe in a minute. We both know it's a it's a knife's edge. You may have it.
We may have it.
>> This isn't a negotiation. It's a one bang final deal offer and it's generous.
>> Okay, I love that.
>> Three board seats, including Ken. You get a codified say in the appointment of our next CEO. We remove a poison pill, conduct a strategic review on terms co-set with you, dismiss all our litigation on the proxy battle, spin-off cruises.
>> No, I don't think that works.
>> Are you [ __ ] stupid? You have to ask Sandy. That is a good [ __ ] deal. does not work for us.
>> I mean, are are are you [ __ ] for real? I mean, you you need to [ __ ] make it work, okay? Or I will I will personally [ __ ] destroy you. Can I come to you?
>> Does not [ __ ] razor blade. That's what I'm talking about. Dick off and then push it up your poo poo pops out of my nose hole. Dude, it doesn't matter.
It doesn't mean anything. [laughter] >> Stuck a million severed dicks into my ball bag. But the actual fact is we're persuading more and more shareholders every day that we offer them just a slightly better chance for them to make a little bit more money on their [ __ ] dollar.
>> Money wins.
>> That's so true. That's so true. Like that's a perfect response to that scene.
>> He's He looks so defeated.
>> It's so crazy cuz it's such shallow drama. These people lose nothing. They lose nothing. I know the stakes >> are so low. Are so low.
>> They're so high but so low.
>> Yeah.
>> You want to talk?
>> Cuz they >> Why would I want to talk?
>> They're like royalty.
>> They have like they want nothing.
>> They're not going to lose everything.
>> You [ __ ] You [ __ ] toasted me.
[ __ ] You fried me.
>> Mom, I have to be an honest broker to save you. I can't be seen to be acting in self-interest.
>> I got shitty advice before the hearing ship.
>> You know, I don't know about that.
>> I got hung out to dry.
>> I love you.
Great.
>> That was the least convincing. I love you.
>> No. No.
>> I don't know. I love you. I love this rock. Bye, Rock.
>> You're dead. What does it mean?
>> I won't let anything happen to you.
>> You told me you wanted an open relationship on our [ __ ] wedding night.
>> Thank you for bringing this up, Tom.
Finally.
Oh, [laughter] >> well, yes, I have been stealing actually.
>> Finally.
>> Stand up for yourself, Tom.
>> I'm not a hippie. I don't want to stuff a dildo up my I don't I don't want to do threesomes.
>> Okay.
>> On our wedding night bang.
>> Nasty.
>> Shanghai into a into a open borders free [ __ ] trade deal. [laughter] >> It was just an idea.
>> Well, that's a biggie just to throw in at the altar. I do >> I do maybe also demand to gobble the odd side dick.
>> Gobble the odd side dick.
>> I don't think it was cool what you did.
>> Thank you.
>> Finally.
>> It was not.
>> I just >> Yeah, a little spoiled princess. What do you think of that?
>> I think a lot of the time, if I think about it, I think a lot of the time I'm really pretty unhappy.
>> Oh, Tom.
She's like, what? What are you saying?
>> I don't know.
>> I don't know.
>> I love you. I do. I just uh I wonder if I wonder if the sad I'd be without you would be less than the sad I get from being with you.
>> That's how that's that's the killer blow.
>> That's the killer blow right there, bro.
>> That's That's it.
>> Oh, that cuts deep. Ow. [screaming] Ow.
>> Oh, it's so satisfying, but it's so sad.
>> I know.
>> Oh my gosh. I'll talk to Logan.
>> No, I'll talk to Logan.
>> Thank you.
>> Fine.
>> Be a man. Let's go. Rise up, Tom. Rise up. Even though if I think about the horrible things Tom has done, it makes me mad at him. But I It's so complicated.
>> Hey, [laughter] >> it's over.
>> You okay, Tom?
[laughter] >> Oh my god.
What the [ __ ] [laughter] >> Huh?
>> Thank you for the chicken. [laughter] [laughter] >> We didn't even talk to him.
[laughter] What?
>> What the [ __ ] was that? [laughter] >> I don't know. I think uh it's getting to people to have attention. He ate my [ __ ] chicken. [laughter] >> So what next? Stick his [ __ ] into my potatoes.
>> You uh you wavering [laughter] >> documents and cruises.
>> Tom, >> I'll take care of him. Would he flip prison time?
>> Why not? You know what we discussed?
>> Ken works. He was across the whole thing. It hurts. It plays obviously.
>> Thank that. Uh Tom doesn't deserve it.
>> Even though Even though he does >> doesn't work for the rest of the world.
>> I don't.
>> And again, this isn't real either. This is her guilt.
>> Mhm.
>> It's crazy.
>> What do you think?
>> Uh >> it's the sort of tough choice people need to be able to make. People who would be >> dangling in front of her face.
>> Very senior.
>> Once again. Once again.
>> Gosh.
>> Oh, it's her weakness.
>> Oh, look at that face. weakness.
>> Oh [ __ ] >> I can't choose that.
>> No. No. [sighs] >> Just not uh just not >> please for me.
>> Yikes.
[snorts] >> Is their relationship going to be salvaged?
>> That's That's an interesting contrast.
>> Yeah, that was that was amazing.
Actually, >> thank you for pointing that out. I was just going to let it go over my head.
>> Oh my gosh. No, now I realize you're right.
>> Beautiful. Oh, that was beautiful.
>> Kendall.
They're going to burn Kendall.
>> I can't do any more of that [ __ ] from this morning. Greg, Tom, doesn't work.
>> No, I see that.
>> And they won't accept me.
>> Mhm.
>> Who won't?
>> I get it. I do. just because they don't have a >> the uh Marsha and I used to read to each other >> before I >> I'd read a history >> left you know Spangler Gibbon the big boys >> okay >> the Incas in times of terrible crisis would sacrifice >> a child to the sun I said to her there were a bunch of [ __ ] savages >> but I'm about to do the exact same thing >> was what could you possibly kill that you love so much it would make the sunrise again. She said that.
>> Okay.
[sighs] I miss her.
>> It's okay, Dad. It's okay.
>> Thank you. Thank you, sir.
>> You did so well. And now you're the face. I trust you in case it turns or gets >> Yeah.
>> nasty.
>> Yep. Nope. I get it. So, uh, we'll set up a press conference. You'll admit that you knew everything and that you directed the cover up.
>> Wow.
>> And we're no higher.
>> He's taking the fall for Tom.
>> Okay. Will he do jail time? Would he?
>> Would you? For fraud?
>> Tom really should.
>> Hey, Dad. I >> get in trouble.
>> Just out of interest. Um, did you ever think I could do it?
>> Do what? it >> the top job. Oh, I don't know. Maybe.
Well, I just, you know, you're smart, you're good, but I I just don't know.
You're not a killer. You have to be a killer nowadays. Maybe you don't. I don't know.
>> Okay.
Are we good? Are you good?
>> Yeah. I deserve it.
>> Maybe I deserve it.
>> Oh, no, son.
>> Yeah. For everything.
>> No, no, no. God, no. It's good to pay the boy.
>> No, no, no, no, no. Not that. An RPI.
You're the best. Don't beat yourself.
>> Not a real person.
>> No real person involved.
You know, it's it's nothing.
>> Okay.
>> Right.
>> Wow.
>> Shall we?
It's so dark.
Alien world, man. Alien world. So dare >> I have decided.
>> I have decided.
>> Come on. Really, Dad? No.
>> There's What [clears throat] about the one of the [ __ ] [ __ ] >> Hey, it's okay, guys. You're off the hook.
>> Yeah, I'm good.
>> Just him.
>> Uh, yeah. Are there any additionals?
>> Second board son.
with your responsibilities. It will be a very simple cell.
>> You forgot about Carter.
>> Roman, you're taking over as full chief operating officer.
>> Oh, yeah. Well, with Beck and Captain Cautious back in the next room.
>> No, no. Frank's going to be responsible for the cruisers's cleanup. You're on your own solo. Can you handle it?
>> Well, yeah. Really exciting.
>> No, wrong. It's great. Okay, guys, eat up. This one's on me.
>> The horns.
as he sacrifices himself.
>> You okay, dude?
You know, if you need to use the bathroom, you can use the bathroom. I'm not going to jump out the window.
>> I'll go.
>> Yeah. I just uh just for what it's worth, I'm sorry about this whole I I just think what your dad's doing is Anyway, I'm sorry.
>> Thank you.
>> Especially because Greg actually was involved.
The thing is, it's not really justice.
It's just it's just a PR move. Not the people responsible [music] are actually paying. Like, it should be Tom and it should be Greg and it should be Bill and all the people who were involved.
>> Okay. You okay, Ken? There's water by the side if you need it. I'm going to let them hit like three questions and then that's it. Your dad just texted.
He's watching.
Hey, you okay?
>> Just just can't eat.
>> No, it's okay. Sh.
It's okay. It had to be done.
>> Poor bastard.
>> Good morning. Mr. Roy has a prepared statement he'd like to read. So many cameras. That's great. I have a sear.
>> Good morning. I have an announcement to make about wrongdoing at Wayar Roy Cove.
I have been asked to explain my own role in the managing of illegality at the firm and associated cover-ups and it has been suggested I would be a suitable figure to absorb the anger and concern.
>> Oh, that feels really genuine.
>> But >> he's going to flip.
>> The truth is that my father is a malignant presence.
>> Oh, he's trying to be a killer >> and a liar.
>> Oh my gosh. and he was fully personally aware of these events for many years.
>> The Judas kids >> made efforts to hide and cover up.
>> He had a twisted sense of loyalty to bad actors like >> [ __ ] me.
>> And this entire time he's telling the truth.
>> Migrant workers, non-union workers and for vulnerable performers and guests. My father keeps a watchful eye over every inch of his whole empire. And the notion that he would have allowed millions of dollars in settlements and compensation to be paid without his explicit approval is utterly fanciful.
>> This is [laughter] crazy.
>> I have with me today copies of records that [laughter] show his personal sign off.
>> Oh, [laughter] who executed his wishes bear responsibility is for another day. But I think this is the day his reign ends.
Oh, >> J.
>> He's like, I'm so proud. I'm so proud.
>> It is kind of what we It is kind of what we said.
>> Yeah.
>> From the early first season. It's kind of what we said.
>> This is crazy.
[laughter] >> That's very satisfying.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Look at the smile. He's so proud.
>> Yeah. He's like, "I knew you could."
>> That makes so much sense.
>> I knew you had it in you.
>> That makes so much sense. That is what we said to begin with.
>> Yeah.
>> That is what we said to begin with, isn't it?
>> Mhm.
>> Because in the sharehold in the sorry, in the board meeting to begin with when he's like, "You fired and you missed.
You couldn't do it. You couldn't do it, Kendall." Like >> he wants him to take him out.
>> He wants him to. And but it's sort of twisted. It's like not exactly because he knows that the company will not survive without him gone. And the way that he wants to get gone is by truly having someone strong enough at the helm.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, and so he puts everyone through the ringer just to make it to like that is what he wants. He wants a killer in the position.
>> And Shiv is not a killer because she spared she wanted to spare her moment of weakness. It was her one moment of weakness.
>> And he was like, "Oh, okay."
>> Yeah. She's not a killer. So, so, >> and Roman's competent, but he's not a killer, >> right? And so, right, cuz he wouldn't he wouldn't throw Jerry, right?
>> Mhm.
>> And so, it is what we said originally in >> the succession needs to be a backstab.
>> The succession, >> it needs to be a a story of like the violent regime takeovers of >> of your from your own child, right? Like that's that's what it has to be.
>> It has to be like the only way he will be satisfied.
>> Mhm.
>> Is if you go for the jugular and you and you >> that's how you earn his respect.
>> You hit your mark.
>> Mhm.
>> That's pretty cool.
>> That's crazy.
>> I like that.
>> I was I had a feeling like, oh yeah, I feel like maybe he'll say something.
>> Of course. I was like, they're not just going it the season we're coming close to the end of the episode, >> but I didn't expect that. The season is not going to end with him going with him just being like, "Oh, yeah, it was me."
And then and then it's over.
>> Then he goes to jail or whatever.
>> I don't know if anyone would like I don't think would they go to jail? I don't cuz it was illegal cover. Illegal cover up.
>> I don't know. They were saying someone maybe. That was crazy.
The Judas kiss.
>> Yeah, I know.
>> It was crazy.
I take over now. I'm the captain now.
Yeah, that is that is so cool how that did ultimately did come back around >> cuz I feel like we sort of estimated or felt that vibe >> fairly early on that the game the game that he's playing is not is he wants a successor in his own image.
>> She also gave him permission, >> right?
>> Because he was like, "Oh, I should pay for what I did." He's like that that's nothing.
>> That's not even a real person, right?
So, in that moment, he's like, "Oh, yeah. My dad wouldn't come after me about this.
>> He wouldn't like if I try to if I try to take over, he's not going to like lab.
It's not even a thing to >> Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a long-term plan for Roy, for Logan, and that like he was planning and contra that all this would happen, >> but he's always playing chess. He's always trying to >> What's interesting though is that when when Kendall did the bear hug thing, he was going after him, >> but and he was not he was upset about in that case, but maybe it's just because he was trying to do it from the outside, you know, that he was trying to get that it see that it seems weaker to go to like get muscle from the outside, >> not come up from underneath, you know, >> and rebel. So, >> what's going to happen?
>> Wow, >> that was a fun ending. That was >> Shiv is the worst, man.
>> She's the worst. Such a sad sad marriage.
>> That was so funny that >> back in their early sentence, the early sentences, early lines of the show, they were talking about it. And you were like, "What?" And I was like, "No, they're not really talking about [laughter] that."
>> Cuz they said threesome.
>> I know, but they're always every everything is a sexual innuendo in this show.
>> So, when are you actually talking about it? Is this person is she is she still definitely into it?
>> Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, she's all primed.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah, we FaceTime. She's lovely.
>> Okay.
>> Cuz you seem a little >> I guess I got sidetracked because for some reason I thought she was talking going back on talking with the lady >> from the last episode. I don't know. I for some reason I got in my head. I didn't realize I must have missed the line where he asked is that her to the m to the to the attendant. He said it again later when it's >> I know I know but I guess what I'm saying is I thought I I must have missed that >> these sort of like out of focus in the foreground not real people according to them just fishing and trying to make a living with their you know in their opinion small little lives these people are not real when really like they're not they're the ones that aren't real and then in the background it's like this dark like the Empire sort of thing like >> star star destroyer. Yeah. In the background just looming like massive uh ship that represents the like extravagance and excess and this like sort of dark beast of this machine, you know, >> that is consumes people.
>> Sort of interesting how the show sometimes brushes up against who are the real those who are the real people.
>> Mhm. And they're like the aliens, you know, like they're the little alien creatures. They're the little bugs.
They're the little like fish that swim underneath the the surface, you know, that you sort of encounter. And then like these are the people like the high and mighty. Like they are it just completely in their own little world, right? Like they're two different species.
>> Yeah. They barely cross, >> right?
>> Only when they need the help, right?
when they have their like pe their servers coming like it's like just such a different class that they almost like don't exist to them >> and it's like so they're so overlooked and it's wild like just all of the like all of the lines Roman at one point in this episode was like oh I stayed in a Marriott once it was >> like horrible whatever >> it's like they have no sense of reality as like most people experience it >> which is so weird >> and let me say for the record I don't believe that wealth in and of itself is a bad thing.
>> I think some people have a right and have earned a state of wealthiness.
>> Like it's not a bad thing to build a successful company.
>> I don't know if decadence >> the question is >> is ever right. And by decadence I kind of mean this sort of deal.
>> Yeah. At what point does it become >> I kind of >> ethically morally questionable or you know because it's like you could make that argument about like different things like is it >> like going on a nice vacation or taking your family to Disneyland or whatever you know some people could say well that's excessive you don't need to do that >> that's the problem with my saying that is what where is the what crosses over into decadence >> because everyone has a different threshold and a different metric for >> exactly >> what's excessive you know >> I I think it's mostly like it's up it's up to the individual story. Obviously, in this situation, you know, everyone is terrible. But but I think my the point that I'm making I'm trying to make is I don't I'm not someone who thinks that wealth is a bad thing. Um some people are just, you know, vindictive and jealous of wealth, jealous of wealthy people.
>> I'm not like one of those people. But >> but there is something to be said about the fact that >> it's disgusting in this show. Yeah, >> it's like >> like the level of the level of wealth that we're talking about is it's corrupting, right? I mean, it's you can't escape it to have if you if you don't have a foundation to stand on. If you don't have, like we've said all along, like values and um a system of morality and principles that you're going to operate on, you are going to just take advantage of everyone and everything to get ahead and live, you know, a very indulgent life for yourself, you know, and it's like, yeah, like you can wealth is a great thing.
It's it gives you so much power to do so much in the world for good or evil, you know, and you can you can do great things with it and you can be generous or you can be like a Scrooge, you know.
>> Uh um Logan does care about something.
The thing he cares about most is the game.
>> Yeah.
>> You know.
>> Mhm.
>> He he cares about Monopoly more than anything. The game of Monopoly.
>> He cares about winning.
>> Yeah. Like that's his that's his but even still like it pleases him that if he's backing into a corner that like someone is winning >> on really his terms.
>> Someone's playing the game how he wants it to be played.
>> Exactly.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Anyway, >> it's pretty crazy. That was very exciting.
>> Where does Kendall go from?
>> Crazy ending, man. And we thought it was going to be Tom and Greg.
>> Was that just a red herring? The recording and everything.
>> Mhm.
>> Everyone's like, "Dang, he actually did it." You know, his siblings are like, "What?"
>> So funny because he looks like such a little like scared child at different times.
>> Yeah.
>> And then he and then he does look like a cold killer at other times. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah.
>> At other times he like >> he's he's goes so hard.
>> It's like that last conversation with his dad gave him what he needed to break away.
>> Yep. I love it.
>> It's crazy.
So wild. Well, that was good. Good ending. How many more seasons?
>> Two, I believe. I think it's a four season show. Yeah. I don't think Logan, by the way, will put on the face that he like he'll he won't go down fighting or he won't go down without a fight >> cuz Yeah.
>> Even though he's pleased.
>> Mhm.
>> It It's the start of something. It's the return of that fight, >> you know.
>> And it makes him feel like he has something to do.
>> The thing is he won't he will not go down. He wants to feel like he's a player. He doesn't want to feel backed into like >> Well, and Kendall has to win.
>> Yeah. He still has to prove that he can win.
>> He still has to win.
>> Yeah. Because he's he's he's not going to pull his punches. Like he won't do that, right?
>> He's like, you have to win fair and square. Yeah. Duel to the death and then I will respect you. You know, you can do whatever it takes.
>> Hate it.
>> Agnikai.
>> All righty.
>> All right, guys. That was fun. Hope you enjoyed. we did enjoy. So, good stuff.
