The most advanced chips in the world can only be made by a handful of facilities using processes that took TSMC years to develop. An iPhone without TSMC is not just an iPhone that costs more. It is an iPhone that doesn't exist. Then there is Nvidia. In the last 2 years, Nvidia has become the most valuable semiconductor company in history.
