Federal authorities can identify and prosecute individuals who make threatening comments on YouTube, even when users employ anonymous usernames or lack profile pictures, as demonstrated by multiple cases where individuals were arrested and charged with threatening federal officials including the President and ICE agents.

BUSTED: Federal Agents Make Arrests Over Online Threats!Added:
New tonight, the Justice Department is charging a Pennsylvania man with threatening to assault and murder President Donald Trump.
>> Yeah. So, that backfired and he was found guilty. Butler man pleads guilty to threatening to assault and murder President Trump, other US officials, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
>> The DOJ says Montair made those threats on YouTube as the user Mr. Satan.
>> Yes. So, according to the DOJ, apparently he went by Mr. Satan. And the way this all went down is rather interesting because I think typically when we think about events like this, you hear about a video being made on Tik Tok or on Instagram, but this one really stood out to me.
>> The DOJ says Montair made those threats on YouTube as the user Mr. Satan, including on a video of the president's address to Congress allegedly saying, "I'm going to assassinate him myself."
>> So apparently these were comments made on YouTube. And again, this is not something we hear too much as far as somebody made a YouTube comment and now they're being found guilty of said YouTube comments for making threats against the president and others. So, YouTube is quite a unique platform.
Unlike other platforms, YouTube typically does a pretty good job in making sure you guys see videos you want to see. Unlike on other platforms where you are mindlessly scrolling, YouTube typically does the work for you. They know how you operate, how you work, what you like to look up on the internet, and YouTube knows that you might like a certain video. So, when you leave a fringe comment on somebody's YouTube channel or within a YouTube video, it's very easy for everyone to see that comment stand out. And I want to make a distinction. We're not talking about like hate comments like, "This video sucks." Or, "I don't agree with you. I'm never watching this again." No, we're talking about a red flag of a comment that's really out there and possibly can be taken as a threat and in this case has been taken as a threat. Shawn Mer, 33, plead guilty before United States District Judge W. Scott Hardy to two counts of threatening to assault and murder United States officials and federal law enforcement officers with the intent to impede, intimidate, interfere with, and retaliate against the officials and agents while they were engaged in and on account of the performance of official duties. As part of his plea agreement, Mur also accepted responsibility for the other counts for which he was charged. In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that on April 8th, 2025, so this is very recent, the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Threat Operation Sections, NTOS, received an emergency disclosure regarding threats posted to YouTube by user Mr. Satan. The subsequent federal investigation affirmed that the intent activity associated with Mr. Satan corresponded with Shawn Mer's residence within the Western District of Pennsylvania. So, we don't know all of the details as far as how they knew Mr. Satan was this individual, but they were able to do it, as in the FBI was able to do it. Also, keep in mind, we have tracked another story that was a little similar. Um, they have not been found guilty, but it's also in lines with a YouTube comment. We do know that the FBI, the federal government, has the ability to work with Google if they need help trying to track down individuals as far as the back end of information. And that should all be very notable considering if you're just an everyday user on YouTube, you never want to make a video on YouTube. You simply just sit on your couch and you watch the videos and you like and you subscribe to the videos.
Um, that doesn't seem to matter. Even if you have the lowest of profiles, it looks like you can still be found um within the FBI and if you leave one of these fringe comments. The investigation further established that Mer saw and obtained a firearms permit shortly following President Trump's inauguration. In February 2025, Mer commented using his Mr. Satan account, "I have bought several guns and been stocking up on ammo since Trump got in office." Further, in March 2025, Mer posted, "Eventually, I'm going to do a mass shooting." I mean, that one is super direct. One week later, Mer commented, "I have been buying one gun a month since the election. body armor and ammo. Again, when you have comments like that, you know, my question is, does that still wave the red flag on Google's end if you're watching like some sort of GT tubers account or like some sort of history war account, you know, but obviously in this case, it looks like they're compiling the evidence to put it together and he has been found guilty as far as questionable comments in context altogether. Investigators determined that MER posted several threatening statements regarding President Trump and other state officials and ICE agents during the period between January 15, 2025 and April 5th, 2025, including the two to which Mer specifically plead guilty in February. Nah, we just need to start. We just need to start people Trump, Elon, and all the heads of agencies Trump appointed and anyone who stands in the way. And in mid-March, ICE are people and we need to start killing them. On April 9th, 2025, law enforcement arrested Merur on federal charges based on these threats and has been detained since that time.
>> A Butler man pleaded guilty in federal court following an investigation into threats he made against President Donald Trump. The FBI discovered that Shaun Merur posted the threats to YouTube claiming he would the president, members of his administration, the DOJ, and ICE agents. Investigators first made the discovery in February of 2025 following President Trump's inauguration. His sentencing is set for August 12th. He could face a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each charge.
>> Yeah. So, let me know how you feel about this. I mean, that is some hefty punishments right there. Um, obviously, he's been found guilty, but we're going to we're going to be tracking this story to see what happens. So, make sure to please like this video. Make sure to please subscribe because I don't want you guys to miss a thing. Again, it's all very notable because if you know how YouTube works, for as big as the platform is, you really can consolidate to your own many groups of families. And we probably all watch a bunch of different creators. And even for like massive accounts, maybe like a Benny Johnson, even then you might see some of the same people commenting on a Benny Johnson video or others. So when you do see hate comments, that's one thing, but when you see one comment really stand out, that's another. And it's actually pretty easy to spot from everyone's end if you guys do read the comments, which we do. Okay, now moving forward. This is a completely different case. However, I was even a little confused because I thought I was talking about the same thing. So, this is from April 21st, updated 3 hours ago. Bloomfield man pleads guilty to threatening Trump and ICE agents. And guess what? YouTube comments were also involved here. Again, this is a completely different story.
The last case we just talked about was an individual from Pennsylvania. This one's going to be in Ohio. So, apparently this individual, Mr. Ingram was arrested after a criminal complaint said he made threatening statements toward President Trump and members of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, commonly known as ICE. Ingram is accused of making the threats on YouTube between January 14th and January 28th.
According to the criminal complaint in his case, he's also accused of doing some other very disgusting things that I'm not even going to say out loud.
They're so bad, but you guys can read them. According to the complaint, most of the posts have been removed. Ingram was arrested after federal authorities served a search warrant at his home. And he has also plead guilty. Man pleads guilty in federal court to threatening President Trump and ICE agents. Charles Bronson Ingram, 47, enters his plea in the US Northern District Court of Ohio before US Judge Charles SK Fleming to charges of influencing and intimidating a federal official by threat and sending threatening interstate communications.
Sentencing is set for July 7th. And again, make sure to please subscribe because we will be covering that. Yeah, very bad stuff. And just out of curiosity, I typed into Google like how common is this? I already did a video, I think several months ago, how in one week there were like three people arrested for these threats against federal agents. I mean, you can't make this stuff up. This was posted a day ago on the Homeland Security website. Check this out. HSI arrest convicted murderer who sent threats to ICE director saying ICE law enforcement officers should have two effing bullets to the back of their there. I'm not even going to say that out loud. So, this guy has also been arrested. And I also want to point out the citation down here. ICE law enforcement officers are facing an 8,000% increase in death threats alone.
So today, the United States Department of Homeland Security announced that on April 10th, 2026, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, San Francisco, arrested US citizen Daniel Barber for sending a violent death threat to the acting ICE director, Todd Lions. And Todd Lions has been very public about how this is becoming an issue and he's really just tired of it. That was one of the implications we got as far as why he's retiring. It's not only him, there's threats against his family as well.
Okay, so according to Homeland Security, HSI, this is the email. If you guys want to pause your screen and read that, I mean, it's quite shocking if this is true that this was an email sent to Todd Lions. And I don't know if this person realized or knew. Um, this could be seen as a massive red flag if it's all true.
And according to Homeland Security, they're all saying this is true and here's the evidence. And again, I think there's a very big distinction between Todd Lions, I can't stand you. you're the worst person ever and an actual intent for a threat or wording that could come off as a very big red flag as a threat. I think that's the big distinction because even Homeland Security would admit not too many people are fond with their actions. They say that all the time. That's why they always cite all of the percentages against their ICE agents um with these online threats. But here you go. Here's some evidence that Todd Lions apparently was getting this on his way out of the agency after receiving this email. ICE launched an investigation and identified Daniel Barber as the person who sent the email. Barber was arrested on April 10th, 2026 for the threats. He has a lengthy criminal history, including a conviction for murder and robbery with intent to cause bodily harm in 1990. He also has multiple arrests for burglary, battery, and vehicle theft. This convicted murderer sent this disgusting death threat to ICE director Todd Lions, acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis said. Comparing ICE day in and day out to the Nazi Gestapo and the secret police and slave patrols has consequences. The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning and try to make our communities safer. Like everyone else, they just want to go home to their families at night. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop. So, I want to put my disclaimer out there. This individual has not been found guilty as of right now. Keep that in mind unlike the other individuals we have covered in this video. Okay. So, I hope you guys enjoyed the video. I hope this was a little bit of a educational video for you guys that even on a platform like YouTube where some of you might not have an icon or a profile picture and you might have some sort of odd name like user 4428, whatever. And if your name is user 4428, nice to meet you. That was a random shout out. Um, it looks like you can still be found if you do make some comments that can be seen as threatening. And not only that, it looks like the multiple comments that somebody made also can be used against them in these types of cases. So, thank you guys again so much for everything. God bless all of you. And I hope I was as fair as possible in reporting this story. And please pray for peace. We need that right now. And please seek Christ. Thank you guys so much.
