Labeling a mechanical necessity for depth perception as "talking" is a classic case of prioritizing emotional clickbait over basic biological literacy. Itβs a shallow interpretation of a sophisticated evolutionary adaptation.

THE BIRDS ARE TALKING TO US!Added:
I'm walking.
It's boring.
I'm clean.
Back to you, Mommy.
How many of you guys have seen that one that video of that guy doing that? It's so funny. I love that. Hi everyone. I'm back at a rental. We're actually about to go look at a couple of houses, I think. I'm not sure, maybe just one house, but we're really excited with children. We had a crazy travel day yesterday. We were just going from where were we? Atlanta to California and somehow we ended up traveling for like I can't do the math, but it was a lot of hours, probably close to 24 hours. Not really. I think it was let me see. We left our hotel at 12 in the afternoon.
It was 18 hours. It took 18 hours to get us home. That's crazy. The travel day was crazy cuz our first flight was delayed, which meant we missed our second flight. We had to get a different flight that was later to a different city than the original city we wanted to go to. And then from there we had to drive over an hour to Rachel's house and then from Rachel's house had to drive an hour to my house and it was just a lot of traveling, but it's okay. We made it home. I'm just so glad I'm home. We were reunited with the children. They were so excited. They loved their little gifts that we got for them. It was great and now we're going to go look at some houses. I read some of the letters that you guys gave me at the shows. A lot of people gave me really sweet letters and I was weeping on the plane. I didn't even finish them all cuz I was weeping so much cuz you guys are just so sweet.
So thank you if you wrote me a letter.
You're just the sweetest. And I feel like I'm Cadet Kelly today in this outfit. All my clothes are dirty, so I wore what was clean. I feel like I'm about to go into the army.
Okay, bye. Hi everyone.
>> We're at the bird sanctuary and we're going right now. Bye.
>> You might know my son Flynn and I have been very obsessed with birds lately. We love birds. Flynn's been really into watching videos of cockatiels, parrots, gray African parrots, gray African parrots and we found a bird sanctuary near us. They have a gray African parrot. They supposedly have a gray African parrot, but they rescue birds.
And so we're going to go >> Jeremy, is is my head wider than your head?
>> Well, just cuz you're closer to the camera. See, mine's a little bit bigger.
All right, let's go see if we can see some birds.
>> Okay, let's go. Bye.

But Flynn memorized a lot of the birds' names and their favorite phrases cuz it says on the website you can learn about all the birds and where they came from and he's very excited cuz he knows who they are and what their noises are. He's all I just heard Babu made the water droplet sound. Oh, did you hear the water?

Ooh, so beautiful.
That was so fun. Flynn got a little cockatiel. We had so much fun. That was amazing. And it was like all for a good cause. They rescue different birds, and it was it was just so awesome. We were there for so long. Now, we're going to go get some ice cream. We're just having a special mommy-Flynn day today. How was it, Flynn? Good?
My favorite ice cream, soft serve chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate.
Yum, so good. Hello, everyone. Crazy hair day. I'm getting a sweater, even though it's kind of hot outside. I don't know if I even need a sweater, but I feel like just in case it gets chilly, I should get a sweater because at the end of the day I haven't vlogged yet today.
I vlogged a little bit yesterday and the day before I think. I can't even remember what I vlogged and what I haven't. It's been hectic since we got home from tour. But keeping in the theme of birds, I guess, we're going to go look at birds because when Flynn and I went to the bird sanctuary, Eric just happened to find some owls that were in a tree. I guess there was a beautiful great horned owl that had babies in a tree at one of our local beaches and they've obviously blocked off the area to keep them safe, which is amazing. But you can still see them and observe them.
So even though it's bedtime, we're going crazy and we're going to leave and go and try to see these owls. So that's the plan right now and I'm trying to decide if I should wear a sweater or not. I'll just bring one for my waist area and then we'll go from there. I don't know if I've ever talked about this before, but I obviously carry around these water bottles. I'm not sponsored, but you guys see me with these probably all the time.
It's the coldest water bottle.
I know, I'm coming, too. Coldest water bottles ever. I started drinking out of these when I was pregnant with Flynn because my water intake just was bananas at the time, obviously. When you're pregnant and when you're breastfeeding, you're like the thirstiest you've ever been in your life. And growing up in the '90s, we didn't drink water. The amount of water I drink now is definitely a new thing. Well, I mean new, seven years new, but before that I pretty much never drink water. Well, my kids love water.
More specifically, they love my water.
We could give them the most beautiful, cool, fun, funky, weird cups in the world and they don't care. I could give Flynn a cup with lizards and bugs all over it. I could give Mazie one with kitty cats and fairies. I could give Westin one with monster trucks. They want what they call mama water. They don't say mama's water. They don't say mom's water, mommy's water. It's mama water. I want mama water.
Um that is suspiciously chunky. I'm going to not drink that. Whenever we go anywhere, I don't have to bring a bunch of waters for them because they all just drink out of mine. Community water, I guess. And don't say like, "Oh, just get them little versions of this for them."
Because I've done that. They all have a smaller version of this and different colors, but they just always still want mama water. Do any other moms deal with that? Or is that just a me thing? I don't know, but let's go see if we can see these owls. If I ever have trouble getting my hair to curl, all I got to do is just come near the beach and it goes like my bangs like 6 in shorter. And they're not even 6 in long to begin with. We found the oil the oils whoops the owls. We found the owls, guys. Look at that beautiful great horned owl. I am obsessed. So beautiful. So luscious. We couldn't see the babies at first. They were hiding high up at the top of the tree, but eventually one finally flew over to another branch. I was like, "Oh my gosh, there they are." And then I spotted the other ones. There were three babies total and there goes one flying across to another branch. Thank goodness it moved because now we can see it better. Look at this cutie patootie little fluffy bird. And there's the mom in very close eyesight of the cute little birdie just looking around. And this was so funny. It started bobbing its head around and like doing this cute little dance. The kids loved this. They were laughing so hard. And I didn't know why it was doing that, so I looked it up and I found out that they do this to compensate for fixed forced facing eyeballs and to develop depth perception because their eyeballs can't move in their sockets. So they have to move their entire head to shift their visual perspective. And so that's how they like judge how far away things are to get a perspective on how far to fly and how far their food is and blah blah blah. I don't know, but it is funny to watch them do it. The kids were dying laughing. Look at that. He's so funny.
He's so funny, isn't he?
What's he doing today? Babies are over there.
But yeah, we had so much fun. I'm glad that Eric suggested that we all go do this because it was just absolutely magical. And there goes little fly owl.
And there goes the mama flying away.
Magical. So cool. Such an awesome experience.
>> My mom will show you a picture, right here. Oh, editing. Flynn tried to get a picture of the owl and he did a great job. He got a couple great shots, didn't you, buddy? Yeah, and it took me like 200 times of mistakes and then I finally got it right. I didn't get a photo.
That's right. at all. And what's in this tree, Flynn? What kind of birds are these? A thousand cormorants.
Cormorants? Yeah. Okay, you guys want to see some cormorants? Here are the cormorants. These are diving birds and that's why Flynn loves these. He was very excited to see these. I guess they dive really deep in the water to catch fish. So, they're fishermen, just like Flynn is. So, he was very excited that there was a tree full of them for us to look at. And there you have it, guys.
That's the vlog for today. I hope you enjoyed. Leave me a comment. Let me know what you want to see next time. But for now, I'm just going to keep looking at the birds and the beautiful ocean.
All right. Bye.
