This video masterfully captures the intersection of human endurance and the slow, silent artistry of geological time. It is a rare glimpse into a sanctuary where history and nature remain perfectly synchronized with the pulse of the sea.

Shoulder-Deep in the Sea to Reach One of Scotland’s Natural Wonders: The Spar Cave, Skye追加:
It's accessible for an hour either side of low tide, but it's currently 4 hours before low tide. But I've got my wets suit on, so I'm going to just swim or or walk around in the sea to it. Oh, I can feel the cold water going in.
Oh, it's getting cold.
It is quite deep.
That's the water going in. Oh, actually, it is a little bit deeper than I thought it was going to be.
My phone is in the rucks, but my phone is in a completely waterproof case.
that my torch, my big torch is water resistant but not fully waterproof.
Anyway, some cold water is going in. It's quite wavy.
How about we look underwater?
I can largely walk around on these rocks here and there's barnacles to stop me falling in. Let's give this a try. If I fall in, I've got my wet suit on.
The important things are waterproof.
This is actually no problem at all cuz I could walk around this ledge.
I made it round the first bit.
I don't mind going into the water myself. I just don't want my torch to get wet. And on the way out, it's not the end of the world if my torch gets wet cuz I think it will dry out, right?
But obviously, I can't really go into the cave unless my torch is working.
I'm willing to sacrifice my torch on the way back if I absolutely had to. But I mean, the tide's going out all the time.
The tide is Okay, that is the worst part over.
Here we are. I have to clamber over here. I think I can put this back on my on my back now and just hope hope that the torch is still working. I mean, I've got my head torch.
It's just the head torch doesn't do a great job of illuminating the cave.
I think the best way is to walk across there.
Right. in case I fall in again.
Going to lift this up. Right.
Luckily, these rocks are covered in barnacles, which means they're not slippy. Oh, look. There's like giant underwater stepping stones.
This is I would never do this if the tide was on its way in, but because I know the tide is on its way out, it can only get better. Right, the cave is up here.
I think I can walk most of the way along this walkway here.
The water is mostly inside my my wets suit now, so I'm actually feeling kind of warm.
The tricky bit is going to be getting around there.
Right.
I wonder. It's hard to tell how deep that is. I think what I'm going to do is leave my stuff on the rock and check how deep that is. Cuz it doesn't matter if I go in right up to my shoulders. I can just swim. Um, my GoPro is waterproof and and it's on a waterproof handle.
Once I know that I can I'm within my depth, I could I can get my stuff there.
Can I cross here without?
Yes, I can. Right. Keep this stuff. I'm just trying try and keep it out of the water. I'm going to try and keep this stuff out of the water. I just need to get over there.
I just about fell in, but I saved my stuff. Right, we're almost there.
The trouble is it's very slippy.
I got to get my stuff.
I think it's I'm just out of my depth.
Leave my stuff there and just I'm slightly out of my depth. But what I'm going to do is just hold on to rocks and move my stuff along.
Oh no, I can I can stand or I standing on a rock.
It's just this last this last bit.
There's nowhere to put my stuff and I don't know if I'm going to be I can't swim and hold my stuff out of the water.
I don't know if it's going to have to try. Can I walk experiment? Can I walk all the way in my depth?
Yes, I can. Right. get the stuff.
It's just this very bit at the start here. But the time I come out of here, oh, by the time I come out, the tigles have gone down. It's going down like by the minute right up above our heads. There's some boulders I can stand on.
Right.
Oh, tripping over boulders. There we are. I think that's me.
Hope my torch has taken a couple of dunkings. So, I hope it's survived it.
I'll uh There we are. Look, we've made it.
Oh, look at the prim roses. Isn't that pretty? Wow.
That's a dead end there.
The spar cave is down here.
I've been all blas cuz I have been into it before. But when you get to it, you see that dark gaping entrance. It is nerve-wracking.
Let me let me just check that my torches are working.
Oh no, it hasn't. It's not working, is it? Oh, it is working. Oh, thank God for that.
Here we are. I'm going to put my head torch on as well in case one of them fails. Right. How fast can we get up here?
It's incredibly steep, but the rocks are very grippy. Your feet just grip onto them. It looks treacherously slippy, but it's actually not. It's a long way up though. It's quite terrifying to see it.
I'm going to stick to the edge cuz See how slippy it looks, but your feet just stick to it.
Man, it's so steep though.
Right, that's the top the top cavern.
Look at the formations on the wall.
There's some stallites growing up there.
My breath. It's cold in here.
There's a pool of water down there.
Let's go down to the pool of water.
Good boys.
This is treacherously steep as well. But again, feet just stick to it.
little steps.
So much easier with a wet suit on.
That's That's kind of the end of it. I think it just turned into a dark, muddy tunnel down there. So, I'm not going to go any further. That's far enough.
Right, time to get out of here.
Um, the last time I was in here, I left my phone at the top in its waterproof case when I went down to swim and a lot of people said, "Never leave your phone.
Never leave your phone." But there's absolutely no phone signal in here, and there'll be no satellite connectivity either. So, this is a proper dead zone.
Right. We need to get back there, then back to our car. What better way to warm up after that swim than some Cullen skink from the shellfish shack outside Broadford.
It's so good. And there's so much fish in it.
£550 for a huge bowl. Look at all the fish and potato in there.
