This video illustrates how a routine parking complaint can escalate into criminal charges when a citizen becomes physically aggressive toward law enforcement. The woman initially called police about blocked parking spots but became intoxicated and aggressive when Officer Beerbower attempted to leave, grabbing him from behind and demanding his name and badge number. The officer was forced to physically restrain her until backup arrived, resulting in felony charges for battery and resisting arrest. This case demonstrates the importance of de-escalation techniques and the legal consequences of physical resistance toward police officers, even when the original complaint was legitimate.

>> You don't have to shove my arm like that. That's unnecessary force. Ow.
He literally just grabbed my hair, ran my head to the side, and then grabbed my arm to the side for no reason.
>> 93. Slow everyone else down. She's in custody. She's in custody.
>> Oh yeah, the threat.
>> They're not double locked yet.
>> The threat >> The threat is attained.

>> I'm trying to go to my house, WHICH IS BEHIND ME. I had no weapons. I asked him if I could park in my Stop.
>> Oh, I asked if I I could park in my spot.
>> Sit down. That's it. It's over. It's over. Just sit down.
>> I'm fine. I'm fine, guys. Sit, please.
Just sit down. All right. It's over.
That's it.
>> It's over. You're going You're You're going to jail.
>> It's not over. I know. I'm going to jail. My dog needs to be taken out.

>> You will get another charge.
>> Your feet.
>> Tell me why I'm going to jail right now.
>> Why?
>> For battery once.
>> What did I do to him?
>> Ma'am, I did nothing to him.
>> I did nothing to him.
You were all going to jail for battery.
>> Maybe maybe later.
>> I'm going to sue you all.
>> Copy that, sir. Thank you. You're going back to one.
>> Yeah. I uh still rolling. It's a parking violation.
>> She's going on.
>> She was the one that called about >> She's the one that called. She lives here.
>> She says, "Uh, I leave at 10:00 in the morning. These people are parking here."
I said, "Ma'am, that's not the patrons from Vixens. You know, the spot is here now. She starts getting real close. I said, "Listen, stop. I can smell alcohol on your breath. Okay, you're going to leave the car there cuz you don't want to go to jail." She says, "Take me to jail."
>> I said, "No, I'm leaving. Have a nice night." Go to get in my car. She grabbed me from behind. So, I had to push her up against the sign. She keeps reaching like in her pocket and then it's like jerking her arms away. I had to take her down to the damn ground and then I was in a stalemate. I couldn't move her arm.
>> I don't know what the hell. Right.
>> Okay.
So >> that's all >> five >> 10 15 20 25 35 40 41 42 I did 42 43 48 49 9 50 51.
>> Yeah, >> you do.
>> She's in there screaming.
>> Yes. But is it on?
>> 50. It's on.
>> 56.
$56.
pins, makeup, debit card, keys, phone.
>> Hey, sorry.
>> Oh, yeah. I didn't know if I had the crowd. It knocked my earpiece out of my ear. That's why I couldn't hear anybody.
I um came here just like I am now. She's here talking about she's can't park here because she's blocked. I said, "No, it's not blocked. The guy from Vixens walks over. She's complaining that, >> okay, when I leave at 10:00 in the morning, I can't move because the Vixens people are here.
>> I've tried several times to tell her, >> "Ma'am, if it's 10:00 in the morning, it's not Vixon's employees."
>> Right? And she's going on a tangent with this guy about when you asked permission before you moved in, I said this, that.
So I told the victim's guy, I said, "Look, this has nothing to do with you.
You can go, sir." So I tell her, I said, "Ma'am, the spot is empty." She's going on about, "Well, what do I do when I can't get to work?" I said, "It's okay.
You can, you know, the spot is empty now. You'll be able to get out." She's like, "No, no." She's losing her mind back there again. So finally, she's real close. I said, "Listen, get your vehicle there. I can smell the alcohol on your breath. You're interrupting me. We're done here. Okay? You're not blocked.
We're done." She's like, "Arest me." I said, "I'm not going to arrest you. I'm leaving. I'm leaving." "What's your name and your badge number?" I said, "I'm leaving. Back away." I go to get in my car. She grabs me from behind. So, I turn around, push her against that sign.
She keeps reaching down by her bag. I grab her bag. I said, "Stop reaching.
Stop reaching." And then she starts screaming, "Help me. Help me. Help me.
Help me." I said, "Stop, stop, stop."
She kept fighting. I had to take her down to the ground and just hold her there. Okay.
>> And that's why that's why I was trying to say 10:13, but I was my earpiece wasn't hanging out of my ear. All the crowd started coming around. She's like, "Get your knee out of my back." I said, "It's not in your back. It's on the ground."
>> Other guy was like, "Hey, he's not hurting you. Just stop." And she was just screaming, "Bloody murder. Bloody murder. Help me. 911, all this other crap. So said, "Okay, you're going to jail." So that was the gist of it. I have no idea how that went from a parking violation to that. No, no injuries on me.
>> That's what I'm obviously most concerned about.
>> No, not none at all.
>> Local.
>> Uh yeah, she lives here.
>> She's still listed as Roosevelt Boulevard, but she said she lives here and that's why she parks here. So that went from zero to 100 >> when I told her we can help me get out one way or the other.
>> We're going to leave in a minute here, sir. Um, so yeah, I went from zero to 100 in like a second when I told her I was leaving. There's no parking violation, ma'am. I'm leaving. And that's when she lost it. So I just pinned her down because I didn't know if I had the crowd or not. And I was able to hold her back. And some of the people here were like, "He's not hurting you.
Just put your hands behind your back.
She's screaming for badge number and you and all this other [ __ ] So she can go off.
>> Sure.
>> I'm sorry. Police department injuries. I don't have any is there any reason that you decided to jump on this officer's back and try and pull him after you saw he was leaving from the >> pretty loud there's any reason that he jumped on this officer's back and try to pull him away after he told you he was going to be leaving >> when this officer when I asked this officer in this area >> yes after all of that was done when he said he was leaving was there any reason he can come and grab him the way he did >> no I didn't grab him the way I would do you have a video I'm sure that he does.
>> Why are her handcuffs in the front?
>> I didn't put them in the front.
>> Uh, they weren't in the front.
>> She slipped them.
>> Well, let's fix that. Take her out to jail.
>> She's going to want to fight me.
>> You have no words.
>> All right. We're going to be taking you out of the car to put your handcuffs behind your back again.
>> Okay. If you decide to resist again, it's going to work out poorly for you. I promise.
>> See every single badge number, every single >> You'll have all of it. They'll all be on your arrest after the car and turn around.
>> That's fine. That's fine. every single name, every single badge number that's listed on this.
>> The officer that said that I touched him also.
>> Yeah, absolutely.
>> All right, ma'am. I know this handcuffs.
>> Yes, sir. Absolutely. Completely understand.
>> Right.
>> Yeah. Let's go.
>> I want you guys to understand that I'm thinking this is the bolt of the wall.
>> All right. This was you're obviously like one kind of free pass for moving them up to the front. If you do that again, you're going to have an additional charge. Do not move your handcuffs to the front again.
>> Just said, but >> I will also like charge you to the full extent of law. Like you guys, I did nothing wrong.
>> If I can put you in jail, I'm going to put you in jail for the rest of your life.
>> You're not going to be able to >> and I hate you and I hope that you die.
Like you guys are the worst. I'm just trying to go home.
>> Get put your foot in the car.
>> What did I do wrong?
>> Put your foot in the car.
>> What did I do wrong?
>> I'm not going to tell you again. Put your foot in the car. That's what I did wrong. Slam the door on my leg and break it. Let me see.
>> Is there a seat bel or not?
>> Yeah.
>> Do it, Lollipop.
>> Can you turn your head?
>> No. All right.
>> I don't know how.
>> All right.
>> Thanks for looking out for us, guys.
Really uh instructing the justice on the society that it needs, huh? Putting the bad people away. Eh.
>> All right. be that as >> I hope every single one of you guys gets cancer of the epidermis.
>> I hope you guys will.
>> Wow, she's fun.
Turning off the rear camera.
Okay, ma'am. We're going to come out.
Let me take off your seat belt and we're going to walk through that door that's open over there. Okay.
Let go of the seat belt, man. Let go of the seat belt.
>> I don't know who the you are. Where the I am.
>> I'm officer beer bar. Key West Police Department.
>> I went recording of where I am.
>> My body cam is >> No, I don't. I don't trust you.
>> You refusing to get out.
>> I went refusing to get out of the vehicle.
>> Please record him. Record.
Good.
>> Hey sir, I'm refusing to exit. Can I have the CO come down, please?
>> Thank you.
93. Come. Come on. N just make a note. She's refusing to exit the vehicle. I've asked for the corrections officer to come downstairs.
Yes, ma'am. Just make a note. She's refusing to exit the vehicle, refusing to let go of the seat belt. So, I've requested a corrections officer to come downstairs.
Thank you.
So she she's battery at Leo all over the place. Now she's refusing to get out.
Huh?
>> Battery on Leo.
>> Battery on Leo.
>> Yeah. And she's now refusing to get out of the vehicle.
>> Okay, >> there you go.
>> I want his name in his back.
>> You're going to get it worse. Go this way.
>> You put me down. I want his name. We'll do that when we get inside, ma'am.
>> He's coming inside with me. He's the one who said, "I'm [ __ ] scared, dude. What do you want me to do? I'm scared. I'm [ __ ] with the terrifying flame.
I don't know where it's going. This beat the [ __ ] out of me, baby. Going on.
I'm a nice girl and this guy was just there for he was parked in my spot.
>> You know I'm a >> No.
>> I am a person who is like >> I'm I'm a minister to society in one way. I don't understand.
>> Will you just kill me please? What the is this?
>> It doesn't make sense.
>> It doesn't make any sense that my value as a human is not okay. Definitely a single.
>> That's okay. I mean, I'm not going to live past this.
>> No, I know. So, >> you do something to this like somebody who's been through AA for years. Yeah, I know. So, sir, >> I know. So, do you want to let somebody take advantage of me like that?
Hey. Hey. Hey.
