When Jesus says 'ask in my name,' He means asking in alignment with His character, will, and authority—not merely using His name as a magic phrase at the end of prayers. True alignment requires abiding in Him, which transforms our desires to match His will, creating a relationship where we ask for what He wants rather than what we want.

Jesus Never Meant His Name to Be a Magic Phrase #injesusname #alignmentAdded:
Okay, stick with me just for a minute.
If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. We've all heard that verse and we read that verse and we think that it means as long as I say in Jesus' name at the end that God has to magically do it.
But let me be real with you just for a second. Okay? That's not what he meant when he said that. Because in my name is is not a magic phrase. It's a position that we take. You see, the word of God tells us that a name represents everything about a person. It represents their character, their nature, their will, their authority. So when Jesus says, "Ask in my name," he's saying, "Ask in alignment with who I am."
Yes, there is authority in his name, in his authority. But it's not just authority that we use. It's authority that we walk in when when we're actually walking with him. Because I can't I can't represent somebody I can't represent somebody if I'm not in agreement with them. In 1 John chapter 5, he says, "If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." So we see it in his name and according to his will. They're the same thing. Jesus goes even deeper in John 15. He says, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask whatever you desire."
Why?
Because when you're abiding in him, your desires, they they begin to change. You don't just ask for what you want. You start asking for what he wants.
And that's alignment.
So are we just saying his name at the end of a prayer or are we actually walking in it? Because one is one is just words and the other is a relationship that we have. One tries to to use that name to get what they want and the other one submits to what he wants. And when you're living in alignment, your heart is in agreement with him. You don't have to you don't have to force anything. You're asking from the right position. And that's where the promise lives in that position. Not in the phrase, but in alignment.
So in his name was never, it was never meant to be something that you just say.
What it is is it's something that you step into. And it starts with the simpleness of here. I am Lord. I want to follow you. Stay aligned with him. Jesus loves you. I love you. God bless you all.
