California's ammunition background check system has denied approximately 50,000 people the ability to purchase ammunition, yet only about 200 of those denials were backed by legitimate prohibitions, resulting in an 11% failure rate that Olympic athlete and plaintiff Kim Roady argues is unconstitutional because it denies Second Amendment rights to law-abiding citizens without providing reasons for the denials.

50,000 Denied Their Rights — System is Broken #2A #gunrightsAdded:
I've been being an Olympic athlete, you know, and you asking me this question. I mean, we operate or I personally do at 100% or 110%. So, the fact that somehow 11% is somehow just or okay is just completely unacceptable and in my opinion unconstitutional for all those people that got denied or turned away. And I think the big thing is is that they don't even know why they were turned away or what the reason is.
So, I mean, there's a lot of problems there. I think everyone can agree that it just is a ridiculous argument.
11% just doesn't work.
>> Just yeah, I mean, just very casually okay with 50,000 people and that that's the stat you guys and you know, first of all, I guess I should have done this at the beginning of the video.
Jacob, maybe we can link the oral arguments down at the bottom. Guys, watch these oral arguments, very compelling. Not necessarily all that we can cover in just a short video here.
So, please be sure to watch the oral arguments for yourself. But 50,000 ends up being the number and of that 50,000, it's like less than a thousand. You know, I think they were saying one or two hundred that were actually backed up with people who should be prohibited.
So, the vast majority of people who were initially prohibited, which is 50,000, shouldn't have been. That that is a huge issue.
>> And I think the question comes back to how many of those 50,000 are going to come back and try again and again and jump through all those hoops. I mean, the reality is they should never have been denied to begin with. And ultimately, our goal is to make sure the Second Amendment stands for everybody, all 100%.
Of course, obviously, felons or people that are breaking the law should not have that, but at the end of the day, we're talking about law-abiding citizens, people that are here underneath the Second Amendment and just enjoying their freedoms. It it it it's just absolutely ridiculous. uh, 11% is such a, I think, an unbelievable argument that they even made in there.
