This video offers a romanticized defense of individualism that ignores the systemic barriers making the American Dream a statistical impossibility for most today. It prioritizes abstract philosophical ideals over the harsh material reality of modern economic stagnation.

Why the American Dream is Under AttackAdded:
I laugh. I laugh these days so much because I've heard so many people say the American dream is dead. And we all know the truth is that it's not dead.
It's just been under attack for a long time.
I watch how all these countries move.
Whether it be Canada or Britain, the CCP, Australia, they all seem to be hating on America right now.
And everybody everybody's saying the American dream is dead because you have to be asleep to believe it as George Carlin would say. But the reality is it's not dead. How many people what other dreams do people have of going to another country to be able to start from nothing and build themselves back up again? Can you go to China and start and start from the bottom in China and build yourself up into a into oligarch into a strong businessman into a middle class where you have a house and a kid and family, you have a good middle class living? Can you go start off in in in Mexico and all these other countries at the very bottom and make it to the top?
Can you just can you just start brand new as a fresh foreigner in any other country and make it happen? There's only one country only one country that allows that that actually people have still have a dream in and that's America because at the end of the day America is where dreams come true. And I think about my when I think about my own life and I realize when I look back on all the dreams I've ever had in my life, they've all been American dreams.
When I was a kid, I dreamt about being a big rock star, not in Canada. And when I looked up to the musicians, I I all looked up to in the bands. I looked up to Nirvana. I looked up to Sound Garden.
I looked up to all these American bands.
Pearl Jam even. Not really much anymore.
I don't look up to Rage Against the Machine anymore because they definitely don't rage Against the Machine. They're frauds. But I looked up to many, many American bands, old and new.
And when I was a kid, I dreamt I learned how to play guitar just so I could make music like Kurt Cobain. And I always dreamt of doing live and unplugged in New York, you know, just like Kurt or doing an unplugged set. These are the dreams I had. I dreamt about becoming a great writer like Charles Bikowski straight out of LA. Notes from a dirty old man, Hamon Ry, Post Office, Women, Factotem, all these great books and all these great all these great writers I loved.
All American I looked up to. Don't get me wrong, I had my fair share of Canadian heroes such as Wayne Gretzky, but once he left Canada and he went to LA and he went to America and he joined the LA Kings, I ceased being an Edmonton Oilers fan and I became a an LA Kings fan.
And I think about even right now my current what I'm currently doing and what I'm able to do. I think about the reason why so many people, even though there's so many people out there that like to criticize America and criticize everything that they've done and they feel really really free to do it, which is fine because America has a little something called freedom of speech.
You don't see these same people these same people that like to criticize America for all its faults. You don't see them criticizing the CCP for their for what they do to their people. You don't see them criticizing all these other countries that have way less freedoms, that treat their people worse, that harm people way more than America ever has. You don't see them criticizing these same other countries like they do America. And quite frankly, if you're in these other countries like the CCP, like China, or you're in some of these other countries, you don't even you can't even Canada even really you can't even really criticize people anymore. You can't criticize political ideas. You can't say anything against what the common whatever the current ideology is.
So when I think about when I think about America, I think about the American dream. I think about there's a reason why people come to America. There's a reason why people aren't aren't immigrating and going to other countries because the opportunity is just not there. The freedom's not there. The ability to to chase your dreams and build and build something isn't there.
The only place that you can really do that in, not the only place because you can definitely you used to be able to do it in Canada. You used to have the Canadian dream where you could you could have a, you know, a middle class live livelihood. You could get a regular job and you could raise a family. My dad did it. My dad bought a house. He raised four kids by himself. Uh he was able to live the Canadian dream. That that that that definitely did exist for a while.
But now that the Canadian dream, if any dream is dead, it's the Canadian dream.
People can't afford houses because houses have become you, you know, unattainable because they're, you know, millions of dollars in Toronto to buy a house or half a million to buy a condo and all you're doing is you're signing up to pay a mortgage for the rest of your life. And all a mortgage is is a death pledge. Pay till you die.
And I I laugh at people when they say the American dream is dead. It's not dead. The American dream will always be around as long as America's around. And America is almost 250 years old. Can you believe that? We're approaching America's 250th birthday.
Not quite there yet, coming in July. But I just want to say preemptively, happy birthday, America. And I know that it hasn't been an easy road. And I know that there's been a lot of ups and downs along the way, but you can't you can't you got to face the facts that without America leading the way, without American freedom, without the ideals of America, where would we be as a civilization in general? Where would we be if the Soviet Union won the Cold War and took over all took over all of the world, took over all of Europe? Although you could you could argue that the European Union is basically just the Soviet Union covered in a velvet glove because what is what is the European Union? All it is is a loss of sovereignty. The one thing that America has always stood for is is individuality, individual rights.
And it's basically come down to where whereas when you look at the Soviet Union, you look at these these these social socialist governments like Canada or these communist governments like Canada. Allegedly, it all comes down to control. They want to control every aspect of your life. They want to control whether or not you can see a doctor, how long it takes for you to see a doctor. And in Canada, they won't even allow private health care because it's unfair to the people that don't have enough money to pay for their own health care. Go figure. and they try to and you're trying to tell me and in Canada the funny thing about Canada with the public health care with the government funded health care is it's also starting to slip down into this dystopian death care where they do something called maid and I've mentioned this before this Orwellian term maid which means medical assistance in dying in Canada so what's happened is quietly maid or medical assistance in dying in Canada has become the fifth leading cause of death in our country.
Fifth, they won't even put those on the official stats to be on. You have to actually ask for them to when you when you go to Google or you ask AI, tell me what Canada's top lead leading causes of death are. It won't put maid or assisted suicide unless you specifically ask it to do that. I find that really strange.
But it's funny how they use the term made like we're here to clean up your life. We're here to clean up your life with this beautiful easy death that's free. And that's what it's become. If you watch the the TV series Futurramama, this has all been predicted. But what's happening to Canada's healthcare, it's now becoming Canada's death care. And I think it's important for people to realize that the elderly people in Canada are essentially under attack because as I've said before, my my auntie was in was in a government sponsored in a government sponsored hospital and basically my uncle was there and they're very they're you know Christians and every single day my uncle had to fend off the nurses that kept on insisting that my my auntie's got no way to recover. So, you know, you're better off. You're taking up a bed for somebody else that that it could be for somebody else. And basically, every single day, my uncle had to stop them from basically they're trying to offer maid medical assistance and dying every single day.
And basic, thank goodness my auntie had a good support system to stop that from happening. But what happens to all those elderly people that don't have that support system? So when you hear about Canada's health care, understand that it's actually now being transformed into Canada's death care and essentially allegedly the elderly in our country essentially are under attack because instead of because it costs too much money to keep people alive, it's cheaper to die in Canada. So what do they do?
They they decided to create the maid program and they have a goal. The funny thing is they actually have goals set with this program by the end of 2035.
They want to be have they want to have had assisted or helped over I think it was 32 million Canadians or 16 million Canadians something like that. I have to double check exactly what the number is but it's an astronomical amount of people they want to be be able to help with this maid or death care.
Look at that sweetheart. Look at you.
How cute you are.
You big swan. Yeah. Look at you. You're a big boy, aren't you? how beautiful you are. Thanks for coming to see me. But yeah, and you start and you start and you and it's funny because one of the biggest people critiquers of America is Canada and one of their big things that they hang their hat on is their health care system. So I just want to be clear here in America when you hear about Canadian healthcare, understand it's no longer really healthare. If you want to get if you want to get surgery, you want to do stuff like that, it takes years and years and years to get it done. And most people, I mean, this is allegedly, but many, not most, but many, many people die waiting for medical attention, and I've had personal experience with this through friends and whatnot.
But that's what I think. So, I think it's important while we watch the news media and social media, we watch all these people, all these people talking about all these people saying the American dream is dead, and all it is, it's not dead. It's under attack. It's under attack from all angles. You name me. It's under attack from the media, from social media. It's under attack from from different countries. The idea of America is under attack because people want pe these people want collectivism. They think that collectivism is the answer. Not individual rights and not individual accountability, not the ability to chase your own dreams and become who you're meant to become. No, not that at all.
Look at you. You big boy. Look how big you are. So cute. You're a big boy.
Yeah, look how close you're getting.
So, it's it's a it's an it's an incredible thing to see and witness. And I think again I think about all my American dreams and how all my dreams are American dreams. Now, I've started this YouTube channel and this would not be possible if it wasn't for an American company. And I know a lot of people don't like these big huge corporate conglomerates, but YouTube allows me to be able to go out, talk to the people, explore the world, and be able to live my life how I want to be able to live it. The YouTube dream is the American dream. Me doing YouTube and doing this type of work and being able to get the message out there, this is a dream come true. And this is an American dream. And my dream is to be is to one day come to America just like everybody else's dream. When you think about the beginning of America and you think about Europe and you think about all these other countries, all these people that came from all these countries, whether it be Ireland or Scotland or or England or you name it, any country, Australia, Germany, anywhere in Europe, you name it. Everybody came to America because they were sick and tired of being oppressed by their own countries and their own governments. They'd rather come to another country with nothing and only have a chance.
And what what America stands for or what people got to understand about America is as long as you have a as long as you're able to breathe, you have a chance. And a chance is all you need in America. And that's what America gives you. Gives you a chance. And it's the it's it's the American dream is not just the American dream. It's the human dream. And I think people don't want people. It's the most hopeful dream that there has ever been is the American dream. And I think it's important to keep the American dream alive. and remember why America exists, right? Where what America did that was so unique. Fighting off fighting off the fighting off the the oppressive regime, the king, man. Creating their own country, creating their own republic, as long as he could keep it as a republic.
I think Jefferson said that.
But they they did the greatest thing in human history, which was fight off the king so they didn't have to bend the knee anymore. so they could start their own country, become a sovereign nation, and become the hope and the beacon light for all of humanity.
And now I have to sit here and watch people tell me the American dream is dead and America's over and America is crap. No, you're wrong. The country that you're in, the the dream that you had once in Europe, in the dream you had once in Canada, and Western society, yeah, maybe in your country, it might be gone. It might be dead, but in America, it's still alive because America is still alive. because America's out here still doing their thing. Nobody's nobody's usurped the Constitution.
Nobody's taken over can nobody's taking over America. Canada on the other hand, you could argue that the city of London and again I've mentioned this before, but the city of London, there's two cities in London. There's London and then there's a city of London which is its own country within London and it operates and it runs all the banks and it runs all the money. It does all the money laundering for everybody over there. It's one of the most powerful little k one of most powerful like miles square miles in the whole world. A lot of people don't even know it exists. But the America dream ain't over. And you could argue that on this 250th anniversary, Americans are fighting for it more than they ever have before.
Because at the end of the day, this is something that's worth fighting for.
America and the American dream. And what America stands for is worth fighting for. It's basically Western civilization. And without America, we're nowhere. Canada's nowhere. Everybody's nowhere. Where would we have been if America had never intervened in World War I, in World War II?
We'd all be speaking German.
So, let me ask you this question.
How many other countries have a place?
Like, don't get me wrong, do I love going to a place like Thailand and, you know, because I've been able to build up my finances or because I've been able to make money or whatever the case may be and be able to, you know, work on the road and live there. Sure. Yes. But could I go to Thailand and you, you know, build myself up kind of like how you can in America? You probably, it's possible, but it's would be way way harder, way more difficult, near impossible. But I know that some people have done it. So I'm not saying that you can't be done. But ultimately when people think about when they want to go to another place, when they think about dreams and they think about want to accomplish something, they want when they when they when they don't have anything in their own country, what do they automatically what's their first dream? What is the first thing they think about? They think about all the American television they've watched, all the American all the American movies they've watched, all the hope and the beauty of the culture, all the music they've listened to, and they think about how inspirational that that country has been and how influential it has been. And they think, I want to be an American because in America, I can get myself back up. And that's why that's why the American dream matters.
That's why the American dream is still alive. And even even if there's just a little bit even a little sliver of the American dream left, that's still something and that's still some worth protecting and it can still grow again, right? That means you have a little dream left unlike all these other countries that have completely fell fallen off.
So don't let So in America, Canada, Western society, don't let anybody tell you the American dream is dead. It's not. It's it's just it might have been sleeping a little bit. People might have been people might have been lulled to sleep by the media and by social media and by all the propaganda, all the terrible things they're saying about this wonderful great country and these great people, but it's not dead, right?
They're just trying to kill it. They're trying to demoralize you. They're trying to make you feel like it is, but it's not. And it never will be as long as America stands. So, Canada, quit quit hating on your on your neighbors and your brothers and sisters in America and start you got to start looking at what's happening to your own country. How long is your country gonna fall before you start to realize that that the Liberal government, Mark Carney, the city of London, Europe, the CCP don't have your best interest at heart in that country?
If anywhere has your best interest at heart, it makes more sense for us to be working more than ever to to work with our North American brothers and sisters in America and in Mexico. I love the Mexico pe Mexican people.
Viva Mexico.
So that's it. So I don't want to hear it anymore. I'm done hearing I'm done listening to people talk about how the American dream is dead. It ain't dead.
People are just trying to demoralize you. So let me know your thoughts. Let me let me ask you this in the comments below. Do you think the American dream's dead? Yes or no? What is it that you love about America? Why don't you think it's gone? Why don't you think it's dead? We need to be getting more positive here. We need to start putting out our own message. Everybody out there needs to start putting out their own message about why America is great and why the American dream still lives. And we got to start counteracting all this negative press that we're getting across all these other media sources. It's time, man. We got to and you can't be afraid. Canada, all you Canadians that that that believe in America and the idea of America, you need to be making yourself vocal now. You need to start saying what you what you mean now. No more listening to just sitting there quietly listening to these people spew their their hate and spew their bull crap. They've they've learned off the mains media.
None. No more of that, right? No more listening to the prime minister, to the prime minister of Canada who's does who hasn't lived in Canada in 15 years, who bends his knee to the king, who's taken a who's pledged his allegiance to the king and not to the people. Enough with that. It's time for you to the the the silent majority needs to speak up now. I was just in a bar the other day having a drink and this lift this this uh limousine liberal lefty lunatic, you know, started telling me how great how great Mark Carney was and how bad Trump was. And I just said, "Listen, bro, at the end of the day, who would I rather have running my country, city of London, CCP, Europe, all these people?
Or would I rather have somebody that actually is a patriot, somebody that cares about the country, somebody that cares about about making it the best country it can be?" And no, people aren't perfect. But ultimately, the ideas, it's beyond the leadership. It's the idea. It's the it's the principles of America. That's what matters. And that's why America matters because you can't just take away the Constitution.
You can't take away freedom of speech.
You can't take away the right to bear arms. You can't take away all these great wonderful things that are that are available. You can't take away the opportunity that that lives in America. You can't take away the focus on individualism in America while at the same time having a having being a proud proud nation and proud of your na of your of your history, right? Well, you look at all these other countries who don't have constitutions, who don't have real rights, where you're not allowed to speak your mind. So that's why it makes it so much easier to criticize a place like America because because you can. If you go to all these other countries, you can't do it. So what does that tell you all you limousine lefty liberal liberal lunatics? What does that tell you? Do you want you want you want a you want a country where where everywhere a collectivist country, a totalitarian country where whatever your views are is what matters. You want to get rid of freedom of speech. You don't want people to be able to disagree with you. And that, my friend, does not make for a great country. It doesn't make for a great civilization. All that leads to is destruction.
So, I want you to know, so anybody that's on here still, like, dislike, subscribe. I want your comments. Let me know your thoughts. I'm Matt Ross. I'm the No Wolf.
