Where Have I Been? (Making Some Changes)Added:
All right, it's me, your boy Cinematos Ken. And you may be wondering, Ken, where have you been for like two weeks?
There have been no streams. There's been no videos. I know Keon's over there just like, do I still have a job? Yes. And the answer to the question is, I have been around. I have been hereish. I've just been very, very busy. Those of you that follow the Facebook page, uh, and you guys have a better idea, but those of you that don't, it's facebook.com/morson Kenneth is my personal account, and I've opened it up so people can follow me.
And, uh, I put more of the uh, what's happening going on there. So, the first thing is that I got hurt. I had a good old a good old hamstring pop. It was very painful. And I haven't been able to go like I'm upstairs right now, and I haven't been able to climb upstairs to get up here. So, that's one thing that happened. And the story behind that is I play a little game called ultimate frisbee. It's a lot like soccer and football. Like, it's you the you throw a Frisbee around and you move around the the field like soccer, but when you catch it, you have to stop. You can't move and you throw it. Uh, and there's endzones. So, what happened was the disc was thrown up in the air and I was running across the field and I was going to jump up and try to get it. Now, I missed. I didn't I didn't hit it. It was too high. I couldn't get to it. And the field we was playing on was a little uneven. So I was running and I jumped and I was running pretty fast. And when I landed, it was a little bit of a dip.
And so I was a little further down and my leg kind of hit a little hyperextension. It kind of, you know, my knees right here, it kind of hit a little little little bit of a backwards action. It didn't like bend back grossly or nothing like that, but it was enough that my hamstring went pop and I felt a very distinct pop and I thought I blew my ACL out and I thought I was done. I thought I'd never walk again. Uh rolled around the ground. I WAS LIKE, "AH, GOD, it hurt." Turns out my hamstring was a homie and took the bullet for me.
Uh and it sacrificed itself to save my knee. So, one of my buddies is like an athletic trainer, everything. So, one of the guys like run out in the field when someone gets hurt and like assesses you to see like how hurt you are. Uh, and he took a look at me and everything was stopping or was supposed to stop. So, nothing was disconnected. I had just strained one of my hamstring muscles pretty badly. The guy they hobbled me off the field and I went home and laid in bed and um like like like picking my foot up like this is the good leg. So like pick it pick like heel to butt my left leg about ow it's about as high as I can go cuz it it hoes. That was one thing that happened.
That was that was the most recent reason why I haven't been streaming. I tried I tried to walk it off and rub some dirt on it, you know, but didn't really it didn't really work out. The other things have just been being busy. And so whenever I get busy, this channel, the gameplay channel, unfortunately, is what I what I put on the back burner. Um, got quite a few things going on. Uh, but one thing that I'll tell you guys about is I am helping Mary to launch a future uh, soap and candle company. This is the first time that anyone that you guys are the only ones that know about it. I haven't said it about it said anything about it anywhere else. We're going through a test phase right now to where we're making this is soap. This is a test soap. See, it's got this little purple bar around it. That's tea tree oil that goes away. But uh we're making some cold processed soap. Like we made we've made soap a lot and just decided to like well let's let's make Mary a business out of it. So that's what we're doing and we're currently testing it. We got I got my different we got different fragrances been doing it. Smells pretty good. And here's a test candle. This is not the final candle like this these little like jars that everyone uses.
These are just for tests testing out scents. Testing out different different waxes and stuff like that and seeing kind of what we like. Got some premium wax going on here. I don't know how the wax is going to do when we start shipping it because we got that like good coconut apricot wax, but it's softer. Like I can like put my finger on it and like rub it and it kind of like actually gets like a little bit oily.
So, I don't know how that's going to work in the summer heat, but it's the good stuff. You have like soy and you have bwax, stuff like that. This is like the top end wax, like the good good stuff.
It smells good, too. But then the soap, you know, it's like uh I'm going to cut some pretty thick bars. Like these are going to be the thickness of them.
They're going to be a little taller than this. Like these are pretty squared off.
Like you see how it's kind of got this bow in it. Like I said, these are the test ones, but they're going to be this thick. And I find that a lot of bars are skinnier, but they're longer. So that means when you hold it in your hand and you wash yourself, there's more surface touching the skin. And that doesn't actually mean you clean yourself better.
That just means that you use it faster.
When it's skinnier, it also like like sags more. So, I made it I'm I've made it thicker and and a little bit less surface area so that way you can get like a good lather, wash yourself, and not like use as much. But, yeah, we're going to have like four different like women's scents and two guys scents. Uh, and then I'm going to do one scentless uh with goats milk and all the like the oatmeal and all that stuff for sensitive skin like actual like the sensitive sensitive stuff. Like I'm not going to I'm not adding any colors to this stuff because some people react to the colors.
It's just going to be natural. It's also going to be a softer bar if that makes not not like to the touch, but it's not going to be it's not going like Dr. Squatch to where it like cleans you but then like dries you out as well. It's more on closer to a butter bar than it is a harsh soap bar. So, trying to make it premium. We're putting a lot of good stuff into it. I I find that a lot of people that do candles and do soaps cut corners a lot. Like they kind of like try to make as much as they can for as little as they can. And I understand that when it's a business, but I'm trying to make something a little more premium, but also not charge a crazy amount for it. like it it still has to make money to like first like pay people and stuff like that, but it doesn't I don't need to like quadruple earnings or anything like that. Anyway, if you guys care anything about cold processed handmade soap that we're making out out of our house, then uh that look forward to that in the future. My my act my actual fear with that with the soap and stuff is that not that it's not going to sell and it's not going to do well. It's that it's going to do too well and we're not going to be able to make enough of it. That's what I'm actually worried about because on YouTube we can we can hook it up to a Shopify account and it can be like like the merch is like when you go down underneath the video on like a mobile device and you can see it. I can put it there. Yeah. And then if I go get like Felix and Marzia to like review it or you know I don't know. I'm kind of actually I'm I'm a little nervous about scale to be to be honest.
We've been planning on doing soap for forever. like even before he went to Australia. And so then Charlie did like his his cheeks one or whatever and I was like, "God dang it." But he's he's using a third party uh supplier for his. So, and we're we're we're homemade right here, baby. I'm literally making it currently out of the garage, but I got a big garage, so it's okay. We're also, right, we have um like the regular wicks right now. And I am trying to figure out wood wicks. Do you guys like woodwicks or regular wicks? You know, let me know because we're This is a glass jar. We're changing to the ceramic the bigger ceramic jar and putting the wood wicks in there to make it look real nice. Uh but those are a whole another a whole another process. And then what else is going There's there is a building that I'm looking at for another business that we we reached out to an old man that we know and was like, "Hey, you have this big factory, this big warehouse. Do you want to sell it?" And he was like, "I sure do. Let me get back to you." and was like, "Cool." And we expected him to ask. We we had some expectations of how much he'd ask. And then he came back and he was like, "How about two warehouses for cheaper than we thought?" And so I'm like, "Huh, okay.
Some good commercial land that I can do a lot of stuff with. Uh, so there's like a pickle ball idea uh to make like a like a like a legitimate like pickle ball club, like make it really nice. Uh, I don't know what I'm going to do with the second. I guess if the soap stuff takes off and does really well, then uh I'll just make a soap and candle factory. So, there there there's there's there's a lot of side business stuff going on. And I've been I've been having meetings because, you know, I've been considering getting into local politics and I know how people feel about politics, I know, but this is like the very low local level. This isn't like this isn't federal or anything like that. So, don't don't like get all upset and start, you know, going down that path. this has more to do with like your your taxes and stuff like that in your local area. Uh but since I've shown interest in that, then a lot of people have been reaching out and they want to talk to me. Uh because obviously I'll make an impact if I run and yeah, so I've been I've been I've been going to meet a lot of people, lots of meetings, lots of business ideas, lots of candle making and soap making. It's been fun.
So that's where I've been for like the last two weeks is just doing all of that stuff and I got hurt. So So yeah, I'm trying to get back on schedule though, trying to get back into into doing all the stuff. I'm not running for mayor, by the way. I keep saying on the Facebook page people like Ken's running for mayor. I don't live in the cities, so I can't run for mayor. I could run for governor, though, of my state, I guess.
But I'm I'm I'm I'm eyeballing a position and considering a position to run for that isn't such a full-time. If I'm if I'm mayor, then I don't I can't I can't continue to do YouTube. I'll have to like do like a video every now and then kind of thing. Like it's I would I would have a lot more going on if I did something like that. So, it it would be cool to say mayor, but a very impactful position that I could help out with a lot that isn't like so much on the radar of of all that stuff. There's some other stuff going on, too. But, those are those are the most interesting to talk about. But the good news is gameplay and stuff will be will be coming back. So, hooray. Yay. Streams are coming back.
Hooray. Cuz I got pretty much everything in order the way it needs to be. And I got more time now. So, we're good. We should be, I hope.
