>> So is this a 1050?
>> So this is a road.
>> So So she said they did not get into the >> road and then they were on the horn behind them like whatever.

>> In the investigation, the suspect was charged with assault, resisting arrest battery on an officer and disorderly conduct. Her boyfriend was charged with resisting arrest battery on an officer and disorderly conduct. With these charges, the two suspects could face jail time, significant fines, probation, and court costs. If convicted of assault, the penalties could be more severe and lead to longer detention and a serious criminal record. Viewer reactions incoming. Sarcasm level set to maximum. I am so tired of this don't touch me crap. Shocker. Another racist person screaming, "You racist." It's like dragging lard. Staying calm and cooperating with police is always the wiser choice. A single moment of anger or resistance can turn a small incident into serious charges and heavy legal consequences. Next is another case where a shoplifter thinks she got away with it until police give her the surprise of her life.
>> I'm at work behind your back. I don't want to resist. Put your hands behind your back.

Stay tuned.
>> She did deescalated it. I finally tried to get her to check out and just leave.
She kept yelling. She said she wanted to check out up here. So, I escorted her.
We stopped at Floral. I tried to check her out there. Then she said she paid for. I didn't even care about the chicken. I just wanted her to leave.
>> Okay.
>> And she kept yelling. She came back over here, started yelling, "Tammates again."
I came back over. That's when I told him over here to call the police just to have her removed.
>> Okay.
>> I gave her every opportunity to pay for it and leave.
>> So, she made physical contact with some of your employees >> supposedly over in the deli. I haven't been able to verify it.
>> Okay. Uh do you have camera footage >> uh that we could review? I'm Do they want to press charges for battery or do they just want her gone?

So, he came out and was mad with another worker about styrofoam plates. We don't have any, but they've been out for over 3 hours. So, when she got here, they already weren't there.
She was mad saying that with the one she was mad at went back there and started talking about her, but she went back there to tell everybody else we don't have any plates. So when I heard she was cussing, I came around and she was in place talking of like saying you and you up and I'm coming for you all that. And so I told her we haven't had any sour face for a while. And she got in my face and said, "No, I got the last one. You remember I got the last one." I said, "Okay, whatever." You know, I know she didn't, so I'm not going to argue. And when she got on my face, that's when I smelled her breath.
>> And I know she Yeah. And that's when she like shoved me and she she didn't do it hard but she don't touch me.
>> Did she kind of do like this or >> it was like a well you don't know.
>> Okay.
>> It wasn't like a attack but it was don't touch me please.
>> And so that's when she kept getting more mad and I could tell it wasn't going to like get fixed and I kept telling her is all well and she goes I'm fine but you're not. And just kept saying stuff like that and she kept coming back and just standing there. So I called and once I back she got even more mad and then started doing that all over my face again ma'am and she thought he said do >> so she went really yeah and then that's when told me to just walk away and I stayed away since then >> I talked to her so I got your information um we're going to take her to the station and obviously she's already on the ban list here so she's trespassing here she comes back you see her you know notify us we'll come back >> the woman was charged with petty theft battery trespassing and resisting arrest. With these charges, the woman could face short jail time fines, probation, and a ban from returning to the store. Repeat offenses could lead to harsher penalties. Before we wrap this up, let's take a moment to see how the comment section completely turned this situation into comedy. I love it when the cops slam the door shut. Emotional maturity of a 3-year-old. The racist card has lost its meaning. The real victims I really feel bad for. how a small situation can escalate when emotions spiral out of control. Both were charged with grand theft obstruction possession of anti- theft tools and possession of drug paraphernalia. If you thought this was unbelievable, wait till you see what people say next. JFC stop the ridiculous histrionics. Teamwork like this steal together, get arrested together. Perfect coordination, just for the wrong job.
When mistakes become coordinated, the consequences multiply. Blame and denial won't change the truth. Evidence always speaks louder. Sometimes it's not just the act, but the choices that follow that cause the real trouble. From fake tears to real rage, this is entitled Karen snaps when she's caught stealing merchandise from Kohl's.
>> Oh my god, I know my rights. You guys are going to be in so much trouble.
>> Okay. On March 4th, 2025, a woman fled after being caught shoplifting in a nearby clinic and called her husband.
Officers approached and this was how she responded to their questions.
>> All right, cool.
>> Hello, ma'am.
He chased me across traffic.
>> Okay. It's probably cuz maybe you had stuff that didn't belong to you. He's accusing me of that. No, I didn't do anything wrong.
>> Okay.
>> He said, "So if nothing happened, >> trespass you and I said, "That's fine.
You can trespass me."
>> Okay.
>> I said, "I've been walking today.
>> Did you want to talk with me outside just so we're not in middle of a doctor's office?"
>> Yeah.
>> I called my husband because he would not stop following me. Like he he like chased me all the way across the street.
I had to like >> run through oncoming traffic to try to get away from him.
>> Understood. Yeah. So, we're we'll make it right. Whatever is going on.
Um, first and foremost, so I like to uh stay safe and so he the guy who is following you, he called us. Um, and then I guess did you also call us as well?
>> Yeah, I don't know if I didn't get routed to the right place or what?
>> It it did come through.
>> I did. I hung up when I got in here. The lady let me in here and she said she would call the police and I said okay.
And they said I could sit down.
>> Yeah. So it did come through.
>> Hello.
Hey, are you here?
>> Negative. I'm out with a female. Uh, loss prevention is going to be at Firestone.
>> Um, going to try to recover some property from over there. So, we'll need someone to meet the LP guy at Firestone and then go to Kohl's as well.
>> Hello.
>> Can Can you please come pick me up?
>> Okay. 10 for start by going to Firestone >> and if there's property discarded in the bathroom, just take pictures of it.
>> All right. Um, so first and foremost, uh, I just want to make sure everyone's safe. Um, >> yeah.
Can you escort me away from here? So where he can't follow me anymore?
>> So he is not here. So he was here and he's over at Firestone now. She firmly denied the accusations, but officers asked to check her bag as loss prevention provided suspicious details.
Police secured the area and detained her for further investigation.
>> It was because I'm scared. I do I can I had you >> I don't want to go reach in my backyard.
I can take it off. I can hand it to you if that makes you more comfortable. I can take my jacket off and hand it to you.
>> Okay. Now, do you have any weapons?
>> I don't. Okay.
>> I said that because I was terrified and obviously he didn't care cuz he kept following me. Yeah, understood. Um, would I be able to search your bag and make sure?
>> Yeah.
>> Check for any stolen items.
>> Look here and I can pull this out so you can see my concealed permit.
>> Well, um, do you have the weapon on you?
No. Then I'm not too concerned. Here.
Um, here. We'll wait by my car. It's a nice safe >> area here. Um, >> so he is nowhere near here. So I >> across the street.
>> He's right across the street.
>> Followed me across the street once. like what's just happening?
>> He's not. So, I've I I know him um because he works at Kohl's and >> creepy.
>> Who chases a woman? Like I had several old men ask me if I needed help. I had people like >> um so let's start with the bag thing.
So, uh you said no weapons and no stolen property in your bag or anything like that? Nope.
>> Okay. Is Is it okay if I search it and make sure?
>> Yeah. In your jacket.
>> 218. Thank you. All right.
I'm right outside the front door.
>> But other than this, how's your day?
How's your day going? Other than this craziness, right?
>> This is my first errand to start running. It's a nice day.
>> Oh, boy.
>> I'm out walking to my errands. I went into something and I am walking out. I'm like the parking lot. This guy's running after me. Like I don't know who he is.
He's like in pain.
>> Is it okay if I take your ID out?
>> I was going to tell you. Absolutely.
Yeah. His hands out and >> Okay.
>> Um Oh, well, no, cuz you don't need that.
>> Okay. Well, as soon as uh it's determined whether a crime was or was not committed, um I I will >> I didn't commit a crime.
>> Well, we're going to find out.
>> I don't have anything on me. I don't I did not commit a crime.
>> Okay. So, I'm just saying that because that guy's accusing you of it.
>> Yeah, I know. But I don't have anything on me. I I did not I did not steal anything from him.
>> So So we're going to check the cameras at Kohl's. And if it's determined that you did, then I will get your ID. That's how that works. Okay.
>> So I can leave in the meantime?
>> Nope. You're detained. Not allowed to leave. If you try to leave, you'd be >> fearing her lies would be exposed, she tried to leave, insisting she knew her rights. The tension grew and a single bad decision made her regret it instantly.

>> Because someone >> I'm accusing him of a crime and you're not detaining him.
>> One second. Getting a phone call.
>> Hey, >> are you done? No, it's possible. Um, but go to a Firestone. So, we we first have to confirm whether a crime was committed or not. The bag that she had uh was full of stuff before she went to Firestone. Upon leaving Firestone, it's empty. So, it's believed that items were discarded inside of Firestone's bathroom. So, go over there. Um, take pictures of the bathroom. Um, just take pictures whether there's stuff in there or not. Um, recover the property if any. Then we got to go back to Kohl's, watch surveillance, go from there.
Gotcha.
All righty.
Thanks.
>> Hey, Brown.
>> How's it going, brother?
>> Good.
Um, so at the end of the day, loss prevention, um, accusing her of stealing >> and then >> like stumbling in plain clothes, chasing me. I didn't. No crime is committed. You have no proof. You have no right to detain me.
>> Yes, I did. You do. So, you're not leaving. If you leave, you're going to go to jail right now. So, you're staying right here.
>> That's That's not true.
>> That's how it works.
>> No. I already explained that to you, right?
>> I know my rights and I have not done anything wrong. You cannot detain me.
>> Yeah. Someone accuse you of a crime.
>> I'm accusing him of a crime and you're not detaining him.
>> So he's Cole's security.
>> It doesn't matter who he is. You cannot harass people. You cannot put your hands on people. You cannot chase people. I'm a female.
>> We are not holding court in the streets right now. Okay. This is how it's going to work. You're going to stay here. No.
>> Let me figure out what's going on.
>> You know that that's illegal.
>> So, >> okay. Not going to argue.
>> It's illegal.
>> I have not done anything wrong.
>> Push this down. No. Back off.

>> Okay. Well, you're being detained until >> How far am I going to get with cuffs on >> calm down?
>> Go with me.
>> Calm down.
>> You're the one who got uncalled and it's on. Is >> your body camera on? I was trying to put my jacket on.

>> You just told us you were leaving and you were putting your jacket on and walking away. What are you talking about?
>> Okay, I understand. I understand.
>> Staff showed video evidence and police recovered Cole's tagged cosmetics from a Firestone trash can. Loss prevention confirmed they were stolen from Sephora inside Kohl's. Were these items worth risking her future?
>> Sephora and everything.
>> So, she was at Sephora.
>> Yeah, there's a Sephora inside of Kohl's. I was watching the cameras. I saw that she had a bag like underneath her jacket, which I thought was strange.
I started to watch her on cameras and and I saw that she would select items off the shelves, put them into the bag.
The bag was getting bigger and then eventually she exited the store without paying. I confronted her. I said, "Hey, I'm lost in renting with Cole. I'd like you to, you know, give me my stuff back." She feed ignorance. I don't know what you're talking about, man. Get away from me. I don't have nothing. I said, "Why don't you just give me the stuff back? We'll trespass you. You know, you'll be on your way." She said, "I don't have anything. Get away from me."
And then she she ran from coals over this way. She went into Firestone here and her bag was very full at that time.
Okay.
>> Um, matter of fact, that's that's what I have on video here of here. You can see her bag is so so full. Okay.
>> And then when when she came out of the bathroom there, I didn't follow her into the bathroom. I just waited, you know, and then when she came out, her bag was flat like a pancake.
>> Okay. Oh, >> I didn't go through this yet, but I know. I just took a peek and I seen a couple things of coals like that. So, I know I know what's in there.
>> You want um since you have gloves, do you mind pulling them out?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let me just save this real quick.
take a picture. Whatever.
>> This is a trash bag. Go ahead.
>> Do you know? Well, you have to take it for yourself. So, >> yeah. I mean, I'll upload that for you, too. Send me like an ax on or whatever.
>> Yep.
>> And then So, I'm going to need to get a statement from you.
>> Okay.
>> I threw that out earlier.
>> Oh, >> let me get a garbage so we don't stuff away.
>> That bag was thick when she came in. She went right to our trash to our reg. He seen it, too. He said he's want to give a statement.
>> Okay. Do you have um cameras?
>> No.
>> No. Okay.
>> It's my eyeballs.
>> Officers and staff documented the items confirming the value exceeded Florida's felony threshold with witness statements, video, and recovered goods.
Police filed felony charges.
>> Would it be easier?
>> Would it be easier if you went to the counter over there? Uh, no. It'll be easier to see here cuz I got a scanner like we'll go right in there.
>> Oh, okay. I didn't see that you had a scanner.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know. For some reason, I feel like this is a little more than what you're saying.
>> It It probably is. It It does look like a bit more. Watch it go to Italian.

>> Oh, yeah. Like, I don't know what the majority of it does. I know that it's expensive.
I'm a little man. I need to stop giving people the benefit of the doubt cuz I did see her like a little bit earlier and like I felt bad because our Sephora staff like was like on break or they wasn't they weren't here yet, whatever.
saw like I saw her in Sephora like alone and I was like, "Oh, like that poor thing like like there's nobody there to like help her." And then later on I was just like, "Wait a second." Like she's glad nobody's there.
>> She's glad nobody's there. Maybe that's why she chose to come.
>> You know, >> perfect timing. Yeah. Well, I'm sure it's not her first time. She definitely seemed pretty, you know, sure of herself and everything.
>> No, that's that's everything.

>> It was,000.
>> I think the toilet paper I think the paper towels were covering a lot of it.
>> All right. So, this is what was determined. Um, so I didn't see anything that would prevent her and her criminal history from doing the APAD, but the amount of stuff that she stole from Poles exceeded the Florida statute amount to where it became a felony. So, because it's a felony theft, unfortunately, she has to take the trip and then you can she'll she'll call you once she's down there to kind of update you. Um, and then she just has to bond out.
>> Okay.
>> Um, >> the suspect was arrested and charged with felony retail theft and resisting a retail merchant. The suspect could face one to 5 years in prison, fines of up to $5,000 full restitution probation after release, and a ban from returning to the store involved. Facts tell one story, reactions tell another, and that second story lives in the comment section.
Hiding in a doctor's office is a new low. Yeah, store employees are always chasing me across streets and into oncoming traffic for no reason whatsoever. You ever notice how offended thieves get when you touch their stuff?
Playing the victim cannot hide wrongdoing. One impulsive decision followed by running turned a small mistake into a far greater crime.
Calmness and honesty are the only exits while panic opens doors that lead straight to a jail cell. Next, this shoplifter acts like a lawyer, as if she has the authority to argue with the police.
You just put your knee in my spine. I have a spine injury.

>> Put your feet underneath. I can't. I have a spine injury. You have to put You have to literally stand me up.
>> Yeah. With your legs.
>> I'm not able to do that. I'm telling you that.
>> 913.

>> Start fire.
>> Are you injured?
>> Someone help me, please.
>> Hey, are you injured at all?
>> Yeah. I would like to get checked out.
>> Yeah, they're on the way.
>> That's fine. Can you please help me get up?
>> I can't help you get up if you can't help me.
>> I need two people to stand me up, sir.
You just put your knee in my spine. I have a spine injury.
>> Okay. Are you able to actually assist me? Cuz I'm not going to assist you. I don't have my hands.
>> No, use your legs to stand up.
>> I can't.
>> Okay, then I can't just lift you up.
You're not >> [ __ ] And you're not 5 lbs either. Your big ass got on the top.

>> No, you kids are hating me and didn't evening tell me what the reason was.
>> The job left. They told you.
>> So what are your injuries? Is this your back?
>> I told you what they are. I don't have to say nothing else.
>> Claiming injury didn't erase her actions, officers proceeded carefully as she acted more like a victim than someone taking responsibility. And what are you arresting me for? What am I being arrested for?
>> Obstruction and theft third.
>> Theft third. Theft third is what? For what exactly? You don't even know what I stole. Shoplifting.
>> You don't even know what I stole. And And furthermore, isn't there a limit for when you take people to jail?
>> It sounds like you're pretty familiar with this question.
>> You know what? Because I actually want to be a lawyer one day. That's why.
That's why I'm familiar with somebody. I don't have a I don't have >> future lawyer. I don't have a record.
I'm just somebody tells you I'm just somebody trying to make it in life. I'm like you're fat ass.
>> Take it off. Yeah. You want to go side?
>> I need help. I have a spine injury.
>> So, can you please be careful? He put his knee in my spine and I told him I had a spine injury.
>> Here. Uh, we can solve that problem by don't resist.
>> I'm not resisting.
>> Now you're not. But >> I wasn't resisting in the first place.
So, don't tell me not to resist.
>> Okay. We're going to start off this way.
All right.
Thank you. I appreciate that.
>> Okay, that's fine.
>> No, I'm not treated like everybody else.
I'm a black woman.
>> Yeah, you're just throwing me on the ground.
>> Inside the holding room, she denied everything, acting entitled as if she were the one in charge.
took underwear and shirts and she >> I did not take underwear. I paid for my underwear.
>> We have underwear and shirts and sheets.
>> Seal the shirt and pay for the underwear. That's what I was saying.
>> Is there anything else?
>> There's nothing else. It's just shirts and you don't can't you don't have >> Yes, he has legal authority. Stop through my >> No, I did not authorize >> exercise your right to remain silent.
Then >> listen, I did not authorize him to go through my >> You don't have to. You're under arrest for shoplifting.
>> You know what? And I didn't authorize you and you have the wrong ID.
>> Oh my god.
>> Sir, >> no. Nobody's gonna We're gonna stop talking to you.
>> I can go.
>> That's the wrong ID.
>> Sir, just Why are you going to Get all that stuff out of my purse. It's just a couple shirts.
>> Don't go through my purse. You're not That's it. That's all I have. You don't have to go through my purse. Marijuana is legal. You can put that back in my purse. You have no right to go through the rest of my items.
>> You're going to have your rights.
>> No, I'm not. He has Why are you going through the rest of my purse?
>> Argue it in court. That's your legal right.
>> Okay, that's fine. I will do that.
>> All right, man. I'm going to advise you of your rights right now. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us?
>> Listen, I will I will cooperate, but I don't like how he's going through my purse. There's nothing else in there for you to go through my purse. I would appreciate if you not not went through the rest of my purse.
>> You're going to go to jail today. So, be cut for obstruction and theft third.
Okay.
>> No, listen. I I have every you can do.
So for that reason items back I need to actually look through this.
>> Take me to jail. I don't have a record.
>> Well, you are going to I'm homeless.
>> Even when she couldn't deny it, she admitted it, but with a ridiculous excuse. When medics arrived, they checked her injuries and took her away.
No excuse could change the outcome.
>> Take me to jail. I'm homeless.
>> Like I'm homeless. That's why I took a few shirts.
>> Where's home if you're homeless?
>> What do you mean where's home? You said you're home, but you want to be taken home.
>> I went in my car. In my car. That's where I belong. In my car.
>> Which car is yours outside?
>> Sir.
>> So, you're taking me to jail?
>> Yes.
>> For what?
>> For obstruction. You fought me.
>> I did not fight you, sir. You >> Yeah, I gave you a lawful order. Stop.
You literally put your knee in my back and I'm not going to argue with you against the You're taking me to jail and you literally slammed me. You didn't even give me an opportunity.
>> Yes, I did. I g >> No, you did not.
>> Okay. So taking me to jail for what?
>> Shopl I think it's called death. It's a crime.
>> Understand? Okay, I understand that. But take me to jail for Why do I have to go to jail? Why can't I be in court again?
See, there's that self-entitled thing.
Anybody who commits a crime can be taken self.
>> But I'm telling you, if you commit a crime law, I don't >> Well, you are today. You shouldn't have committed shoplifting.
>> Do you want me to or you want to go to the hospital today?
>> Sir, I want to go home. I want to go sleep in my car.
So what I'm worried about is your medical condition right now. Are you in Are you in back pain?
>> I do have >> you want to go to hospital.
>> Do you think so? We don't see anything based on the email that we're seeing.
>> Okay.
>> But but based on what happened, if you'd like to go to the hospital to get an X-ray.
>> No, it's okay.
>> You don't want that?
>> I will check myself out when I get >> Okay. All right. No problem.
>> All right, guys.
>> We're good to go.
All right.
>> So, what we'll do for you is um when we get to the uh outside the jail cuz there's kind of a line like a salport area.
>> We'll get your cell phone. Um we'll hold it to your ear and you can talk to her.
>> Does that sound good?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> I appreciate that.
>> Thank you. and I appreciate being >> the suspect was charged with theft along with obstruction for resisting and failing to comply with officers during the encounter. The real show starts in the comments. Constant whining with a giant onesie living her best toddler life. Her calling someone else a fat ass is top tier comedy. Hippo disguised as leopard. Tricky. No matter the reason or pressure, choosing to lie or resist only makes things worse. Sometimes it's your reaction after being caught, not the act itself that determines the outcome. >> Been detained for what?
>> On April 11th, 2022, police responded to a theft at Home Depot. The suspect, Jack Wheel Swain, wore full camo and carried two large bags trying to blend in like it was Black Friday, but actually stealing.
>> You want to get one side of >> Mhm.

What's >> going on, brother? there.
What's >> going on, man?

>> I got to use your bag.
>> That's fine. You'll use it later. Grab your bags.
>> No, I ain't grabbing no bags.
>> You just put them down, right? Those are your bags.
>> Put them down. All right, grab the mom >> and we're going to go back inside.
>> I'm just going to grab you, right? Wait, relax. Yeah, >> we're not doing that. We're going to walk inside. Come on.
>> What you grabbing me for?
>> You're being detained right now. Okay.
>> You're being detained for what?
>> For shoplifting.
>> His standout outfit drew attention, so police detained him. He denied it but complied until asked to return to the store when he lost control and made a very poor choice.
>> I didn't walk out there.
>> I didn't walk out with anything.
>> You didn't until I >> No, you asked. You said what are you doing? I said I'm not I said I said got you loading all these stuff here. I said I'm not I said I'm not walking out with nothing.
>> Doesn't matter. We got you loaded up.
It's not a conversation, bro.
>> I said I'm not walking out with anything. I didn't walk out with anything.
>> I didn't load nothing. I had it I had it right there in the cart and I had the bag. I didn't load anything.
>> I didn't load anything.
I didn't >> I didn't conceal it.
>> I'm telling you why. I didn't conceal it.
>> It's a Home Depot bag.
>> I didn't conceal it. This a home bag.
>> I didn't conceal anything. Is >> this a home bag?
>> No, but I didn't conceal anything in this bag.
>> No.
>> No. What's not come back?
>> I didn't conceal anything, bro.
>> I know what you mean.
>> I didn't conceal nothing, bro.
>> N bro, I didn't conceal anything.
>> All right. Like I said, we're going to go to the office and talk.
>> I didn't conceal nothing. I'm not trying to go to the office.
>> I DIDN'T CONCEAL NOTHING.
I'M OUT HERE.
>> NO, I'm not doing stop. Don't resist. Okay. Don't resist.
Resist. Watch his hands. Wait. Watch his hands. I ain't >> listen up. I ain't do nothing. Relax.
>> Excuse me. Please tell me what's going on. Please tell me what's going on.
What are you going away?
>> It's okay. Just one at a time.
>> No.
>> No.
>> I ain't do.
>> STOP.
>> I DIDN'T DO NOTHING.
>> STOP.
>> NO.
>> STOP.
>> STOP.
>> BRO, don't put them handcuffs on me.
>> Stop.
>> I ain't do.
>> He tried to flee as a last resort, but was quickly caught, turning a simple theft into a more serious offense.
>> Who? This what I'm talking about. NOW I AIN'T COMING HOME.
>> WATCH. He's got my cuff.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> NOW I AIN'T COMING HOME.
>> BUT YOU WENT TO USE THE BATHROOM.
>> NO, I ain't coming home.
>> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
Don't pick him up yet. Don't >> stand up, bud. Come on.
>> No.
>> Are you okay?
>> Joe, are you okay?
>> Let's put him in the back right here.
No, >> I didn't do I didn't take nothing. It wasn't nothing in them bags.
>> Listen, just because you walked out of the >> Just cuz you walked out of the store with nothing.
>> There wasn't nothing in them bags.
>> Wait, before I'm going to racial profile.
>> We're not racially profile.
>> There was nothing in them bags.
>> I got to do my [ __ ] on myself.
>> That's not [ __ ] on yourself. Other people have before.
>> I didn't take [ __ ] I didn't >> I didn't want to >> I'm not getting in here.
Telling him I'm not getting in here.
>> Listen. Why are you leaving?
>> I'm not getting in here.
>> Listen. Get in.
>> I ain't taking >> Okay.
>> No, y'all not doing that.
>> I didn't take that.
>> Bring your car.
>> I'll see you in like a year, bro.
>> Yo, it's serious. Get in. Seriously, >> regardless, you just pull one.
>> Yes, I will, bro. Man, another car not going to do nothing. I'm telling you, I take these cuffs off in your mouth. So, officer, bro, y'all locking me up for nothing.
>> I didn't Okay, >> I keep telling y'all I never walk through the room with anything.
>> Can I ask you something? That shot was >> I'm going to ask you something. If I go watch the video and I watch you walk through all the points of sale, right, and I see Okay, >> go ahead.
>> And if I >> I'm not getting in this car, though.
>> That's fine. Go ahead.
>> Okay.
>> Watch the video. I never walk through no point of sale with anything.
>> The situation escalated as his wife intervened trying to cover for him, but officers stayed professional, calmly revealing the truth about his actions.
>> So, you don't want to Yeah. Just stop saying push him. So, we're not just >> I I heard you. I'm saying it right here.
I heard you.
>> I heard you. I heard you. She trying to talk to him and you just trying to be on some bull. Y'all not about to do that to my husband?
>> Listen, listen.
>> Wrong with you. You want me to talk to somebody, right? Let me talk to you.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah, please.
>> So, this is what happened, right?
>> Okay.
>> He was shoplifted. Listen to me.
>> If he was shoplifted exactly what he just said, anybody knows that you walk when you're leaving out >> and you >> They saw Can All right. They followed him. He walked through all points. Were you with him?
>> No.
>> Okay. People that worked there, the loss prevention, they walked him. They saw him walk through all points of sale.
Okay. Just because you walk out with nothing in your hands doesn't mean you weren't shoplifted. Once he passed the point of where you're supposed to pay, that's it. But he turned around when he saw us and dropped everything and then kept it moving. He was shoplifted. What I'm telling him is if he has no warrants, if he's got nothing pending, the worst is going to book him and he gets released on a summon. He's just prolonging the inevitable. It's not going to matter how long this takes for us to get him into into booking and do that. It's really not that serious. I don't know if he's got something else pending and that's why he don't want to go. But regardless of the fact he was shot yesterday, if not, we would not be doing all of this.
This is a constant thing. Now, I'm not saying with him. It's my first time dealing with him. Okay?
>> We're trying to be as passive and keep he ran from us. He's resisting. He's making it more difficult for himself. The best thing right now cuz he's going to get his phone call regardless. He has your number, I'm assuming, right?
>> No, I have a new number. Can't you write it down and put it in his pocket, please? He's not Can you let me talk to him? He's not going to listen to y'all.
He's not going to speak to him from over here. Okay, I'm over there. That's you want to give it. That's fine. But I can't let you get through this. You can stand back. If you want to film, do whatever you need to do. That's fine.
But I'm going to need you to stand back.
If you need any other information, I'll come to speak to you. Okay.
>> Despite the situation, he showed no remorse and kept denying it. But CCTV and officer's explanation confirmed everything, leaving no room to deny.
>> She's sitting down though, bro.
>> Would you have her?
>> You have her have a word with her him or >> she tried to speak to him.
>> He was He was angry. He's He's agitated.
I hear it. You know, um she's just concerned. I spoke to her already. I gave her all the information. I told her the worst that's going to happen is he'll be released in about 2 hours after being processed. And like I told you when just hear me out. What I told you when if you feel that you didn't do anything wrong, you have your right to your date in court and you can discuss that with the judge.
>> I'm telling you I'm going to jail. I'm telling you I'm going to jail. So I just asking for two minutes. I'm telling you I'm going to jail.
>> So can I have two minutes and I would just go like >> we'll bring her to the car and you can speak to her. That's fine.
to secure you.
I'm secure already. I cannot be >> Oh, was he alone?
>> Hello.
>> Good. How are you?
>> Listen to me. You can't be out here asking people for money, right?
>> I'm not asking people.
>> All right. I heard >> I'm helping. Helping.
>> All right. So, listen to me.
>> Helping with their bag.
>> Listen to me, okay? I'm just giving you a heads up in case somebody calls and then we'll have to come out and just disperse you. Okay.
>> Yes. Yes, ma'am.
>> Okay. I just got to let you know. Yes, ma'am.
>> All right. Excellent. Yes, ma'am. Sean.
>> Yeah. Sean, he said he passed and as soon as he saw you guys turned around, threw everything.
>> No matter >> and kept and then walked out with and he kept saying, "I don't have anything. I don't have anything." Just because you don't walked out the store with it does not mean you did not mean you didn't shop.
>> You could concealing be in the aisle just concealing. That's it. That's enough. The conceal was there, but >> they don't know.
>> He had those think they do.
>> They think they do because they all they all they all jail lawyers.
>> Well, that's why they don't read the fine print.
>> They don't read the fine print and then that's where that's where we messed up.
So, when we got the call, was he at selfch checkout and then >> No, when he got when I called you guys, I just finished watching him load up the cart >> and stuff in the bag and watch him collect bunch of other stuff >> in the process of of walking towards >> towards that nursery exit. He got to this point. They looking to see which way is the best >> exit. Exit. Okay. The nursery is probably the best way to go.
>> After all, the suspect was charged with shoplifting after concealing items and attempting to leave without paying. He also faces additional serious charges for resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer during the arrest. Some comments just make you nod because they're spoton. If you ain't do nothing, why you be running, yo? Of course, he accuses the cops of racially profiling him. His pants are pulled up and shoes are laced up, he's running.
It's not whether you make it out with the items. It's the intent and actions that matter. Many think dropping the items means they're safe, but once you cross the line and try to evade consequences still follow, and resisting only makes the price much higher. >> I'm so sorry.
Can >> I have a female come up here and search you?
>> On December 22nd, 2024, police responded to a retail store after reports a woman fought loss prevention during a theft stop. When officers arrived, she was already restrained and told to calm down and cooperate.
>> Oh, I'm sorry. Look at me.
>> You're going to breathe. Look at >> We're We're take her. Um, we're going to have a female come up and surge.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> I don't know.
>> Officer.
>> Okay.
>> I'm so sorry.
>> 41 days. Am I the only one?
>> Do you have any weapons or anything that can hurt us?
>> No. I'm a nurse.
>> I really like you reaching your pocket. So, we're going to empty your pocket. Got >> I don't have anything that >> I I'm so sorry.
>> Staff searched her bag and seized her cash as police discussed charges. She denied everything claiming to be a nurse and pleaded. But the law doesn't work that way.
>> Oh, sorry. Sorry. I didn't know you could be talking.
>> All right. Just chill.
>> Can you fix my stomach?
>> Like what? Your shirt?
>> Yes.
>> All right. Here.
>> I can't breathe.
>> Okay. We have an ambulance coming.
>> No, I don't need any.
>> Well, this is what we can do.
They're they're determined if you need to go when they get here, right?
>> Hi. I'm so sorry.
>> I just wanted a way.
>> I believe so.
>> Just to verify multiple times, you guys are wanting to sign more complaints.
>> I'm so sorry.
>> I'm so sorry.
>> Please. I'm so sorry.
or you want heard you twice. Keep quiet.
>> Okay.
>> Okay.
>> You hear about it anymore.
>> It's just what happens, right?
>> I'm so sorry.
Can >> I have a female come up here and search you? All right.
>> This is my jacket.
>> I can't breathe.
>> I really can't breathe.
>> Okay. Well, stop here. Just leave it for now.
>> Wow. So many officers. I >> probably >> when the when the female >> that's please don't go through my stuff.
>> We have to >> You know what? You're going to ask me for a favor.
>> I'm sorry.
>> Okay. What you're going to do is you're police officer.
>> I am.
>> You have every right to go through your stuff.
>> All right. I'm sorry.
>> No money.
>> No money.
>> Right. What?
>> So, you came here to steal?
>> No, I didn't have my cards.
>> 3724.
>> Oh my god.
>> Kind of a long night for you, huh?
Oh, here's >> why don't you just >> Okay, >> I can't.
>> Officer, >> I come to do that.
>> Please, I can't breathe.
>> Okay, well, stop. I'm getting worked up.
Just breathe as normal.
officer.
>> Security confirmed she resisted, tried to flee, and struggled, escalating a simple stop. Police requested a female officer for a lawful search and called medics to assess her condition.
>> You guys or anything?
>> No, just in a struggle.
>> Okay. We'll get all the details.
>> Wait, why do you guys want to take me to the back?
>> When we take care of her, we'll get all the details from you.
>> If we had just done what we originally do, we take you back and we'll process you and you paperwork and then we'll get to >> Okay. Can we do that?
>> No, you can never go.
>> Can we please do that?
>> Uh, unfortunately, >> can we do that?
>> Most likely go on the other route with it. We're going to take you to the station, fingerprint you, take photos, and then >> Yeah. Can we do that?
>> Can we just officer search you, have the paramedics check you out, and then we'll go from there.
So, okay.
>> Be careful. Left index finger.
>> Right index finger. Um, ring finger.
>> So, I again I have no idea what you guys got. I >> It's Hoffman. So, >> where is he right now?
>> He's back in the back room. Um, >> okay.
>> But, um, you can uh talk to him. Usually we do pillows here, but since he resisted and then, >> you know, all this happened, you might want >> resisted. They hurt me. I want to get prints and photos.
>> Obviously, I'm going to do what the officer is telling me.
>> Of course.
>> Okay. But what I am going to tell you is we're not going to accommodate somebody who is trying to get away from us and then is not being cooperative after they commit a crime. You understand that, right? Like I'm trying to make make you understand the best way I can. Okay? I'm not making any promises and I'm definitely not going above what these officers want. If they're saying that we could have done a local ordinance, cite her and released her. However, she upped the ant. She upped the stake. She wasn't listening. She wasn't cooperative. She ran away.
>> I was really scared >> cuz they told me they were going to put me on the floor.
>> Well, what do you think is going to happen when you listen listen? What do you think is going to happen when you steal and then you try to run away?
>> Do you think we're just going to be like, "Thank you for stealing, B."
>> No, of course not. You know what I mean, >> right?
>> So, let me talk to the officer. I literally have no idea other than I hear resisting and retail theft >> and possible injury of staff, too. So, >> the stolen goods exceeded $800, meeting the felony threshold. Officers explained her prior actions ruled out leniency and any explanations came too late.
>> So, looks like what you took was over $800.
>> What?
>> Yes. So that in itself, we have to call in for a felony.
>> No, please.
>> And then um Oh my god.
>> Calm down. What's your name?
>> Tanya. Listen. Listen.
>> Nobody told you to to steal.
>> I know.
>> And then secondly, because we're being up front, you are also getting a charge for Are you okay? You're hurt. What's What's going on? Get my check out.
I'm so sorry.
>> Okay. Well, >> so I'm going to be in big trouble.
>> Well, yes, but there's pros and cons to this. What kind of history do you have?
>> Oh, okay.
>> Listen.
>> So, what's going to happen is no matter what, it's not like they're staying overnight with us. However, they're going to be with us for a while because we are calling felony review for a felony. I don't know if they're going to give you the felony. I have no idea.
>> Really?
>> Yes. Yes, really. I do.
>> You can't just come up here and steal and then and then run away and push people and think that that's okay.
People understand I think you understand because you got caught. You don't understand because of what you actually did.
>> No, I did. I do.
>> Again, we're going to take you back. You got to be fine.
>> I really I'm so scared.
>> I understand that.
>> I understand that. But that doesn't know you probably haven't looked. Do you have any marks of bruising or anything?
>> Um, yeah. It's obvious.
>> Police seized all evidence and informed her she'd be taken in for booking. Will she regret it? And what charges will she face next? Let's find out.
Got it.
>> It's from a different store. I believe >> you bought this.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, to be fair, I think that's a valid question.
>> I know.
>> Correct.
>> Okay.
If you got a cough, cough down.
>> I'm sorry.
>> I know. I'm just >> I don't have a gun at all.
>> In the end, the suspect was charged with felony retail theft and resisting a loss prevention officer. For these charges, she could face 1 to 5 years in prison, substantial fines, full restitution, possible probation, and a long-term store ban ordered by the court. After watching this play out, viewers couldn't resist adding humor to the situation, and it shows in the comments. The irony of a thief saying, "Don't take my stuff," is just great. I've been a nurse for almost 40 years. If she really is a nurse, she's a disgrace. If she's a nurse, how many patients has she stolen from? One wrong choice can trigger serious legal consequences. When theft escalates through resistance and violence, the cost becomes freedom and the future. Honesty and stopping early are always the cheapest way out. That's all for today's video.
