This video demonstrates steel reinforcement design for two-story commercial buildings, covering plinth beam specifications (225mm x 300mm) with four 16mm bottom bars, two 12mm top bars, 8mm stirrups at 150mm spacing, and 40mm concrete cover with 135-degree seismic hooks, as well as floor beam design (225mm x 300mm with 150mm slab) featuring crank bars that transition from tension to compression zones with appropriate bar placement at different sections.

Plinth Beam and Top Beam Drawing StudyHinzugefügt:
Welcome back to Civil Engineers YouTube channel. In this short video lecture, I would like to guide you for two-story commercial building plain beam steel reinforcement and also for floor beam or you can say top beam with slab.
Let's get start, guys. If you need house planning structural drawing 3D animation for any type of building, so you can contact me on this WhatsApp number. This is paid services, not for free. The size of the plain beam is 225 mm. This is width and the depth is 300 mm.
Normally, you can say 9 in by 12 in.
This is size size of plain beam.
We used here four bars at the bottom.
You can see clearly where the dia is 16 mm and two bars at the top portion where the dia is 12 mm. If you see, guys, the stirrup size is 8 mm with the spacing of 150 mm center to center.
So, let me write here.
Four bars at the bottom.
Dia is 16 mm.
This is bottom. And this is top section.
Two bars, dia is 12 mm.
Next, guys, you can see the stirrups.
So, S is for stirrups.
The dia is 8 mm with the spacing of 150 mm center to center.
And the concrete cover is 40 mm or you can say 1.5 in.
If you see, guys, this is for seismic hooks details. You can see clearly it should be bent on 135 degree as you can see here in this plan.
On the other side, the spacing you can see clearly.
Next, this is floor beam, guys.
The dia is 225 mm by 300 mm.
And slab thickness is 150 mm or you can say 6 in. Where we have two sections guys you can see clearly.
Because we have crank bar and the crank bar section is like this.
So this is A section, this is B section.
At the A section we have four bars at the bottom, two are middle bars at the distance of L by 4, two are top bars. So 2 + 2 You can see two are middle bars and two are top bars for the compression zone. And at the bottom portion guys you can see this tension zone where we have four numbers of steel rods and the dia is 16 mm.
And you can see thickness of the slab is 150 mm. Dia is 8 mm for the stirrup steel reinforcement and you can see the spacing is 150 mm center to center. On the other side this is section two guys our section B. We have crank bar these two bars are bent up to the upward side of tension compression zone guys you can see so therefore we have two bars at the top portion.
Okay? At the section guys you can see so let me create a section for this.
Same like uh this one.
Let me guide you properly this is long section.
And here you can see like this.
So therefore this is one bar, this is the second one. So therefore we have two bars at the top portion.
So this is a short video but very important for you people to know about the two-story commercial building plinth beam steel reinforcement and its spacing [music] for the stirrups and also for the top floor. Thanks for watching.
See you in next video.
Goodbye.
