Meghan’s Taps, Grips & Redirects Through the Years | Flashback Friday

[00:00:00]Hi everyone, happy Friday. We're here to do another episode of Flashback Friday.

[00:00:04]We're going to look through some hilarious clips of Megan doing her thing and we have a lot to talk about. So, let's get into it. Let's have a good laugh. But before we begin, here's the intro. Welcome to Revealing the Narc.

[00:00:16]Join me as I highlight narcissistic traits and celebrities and public figures. Everything here is in my opinion and not professional advice. If you enjoy the analysis, please like and subscribe. Okay, everyone. So, apologies. I'm going to be looking off to the right. Let's get these clips started. This first clip is from one of the early events that Harry and Megan did. And what you're going to see is Harry is just trying to enjoy himself.

[00:00:41]And as soon as Megan taps him, he stops acting uh fun or having fun with the child. Many of you were saying that the child didn't seem very interested. And and that's okay. My purpose in showing this clip is that here's Harry trying to interact with someone and be warm towards them and Megan taps him and his response is to immediately stop that behavior. So, I think by this point we're seeing Megan completely trying to hone Harry in. She doesn't like it when he, and these are all assumptions, of course, she doesn't like it when he's animated and he seems to be enjoying himself with other people. Okay, everyone. Here's another example of Megan tapping Harry. He seems to be folding a piece of paper to put it away.

[00:01:28]And I don't know if her intent here is to try to get his attention back on him and away from the piece of paper or to get him to put the paper away quickly.

[00:01:38]I'm not sure. But you can see her facial expression. It's just very controlling behavior. where she's looking at him intently and then almost has this self-satisfied look as soon as Harry does whatever action it is that Megan was hoping for. Let me know in the comments if you see that as well. Okay, everyone. This is one of my favorites. I actually spotted this while I was looking at footage from Invictus. I believe this was oh 2022 um when they went to Whistler I believe.

[00:02:10]And look, look where the sun is and look where Megan puts her hand. It doesn't even provide shade for her eyes. Like, you see where the shade actually goes.

[00:02:20]She's so concerned with what things look like in the public. She wants to make sure that her face is captured on camera. So, that's another example. When Megan was in Rwanda, you saw her move her hair back and hold her glasses in such a way that her full face would be captured. Now, it would make sense for her to actually wear glasses at this point, but she doesn't. She just wants to make sure the camera catches her full face. You know, everyone, it appears the theme of this week, and we're only what, four or five videos deep, is Megan tapping Harry because she doesn't like his behavior. So, you see again another example. Harry's excited. He's calling people over and Megan taps him like, "Stop that behavior. Stop being enthusiastic. Stop being so personable."

[00:03:06]This is the impression that I'm getting from these clips. Let me know if you see that as well. And you see Harry's response is immediate. This particular clip was from the Wellchild Awards, I believe in 2019.

[00:03:21]It's her second appearance at WellChild, the Wellchild Awards. Her first one was when she wore a all black outfit. It was a black like pants suit. And I I think this might actually be the last time that she went to the WellChild Awards.

[00:03:33]every other time. I believe Harry has gone by himself. Okay, everyone. This clip I'm going to have to play the audio so you see how Megan responds. This is from the Jane Paulie interview in 2024.

[00:03:46]Harry and Megan are here representing the Parents Network and they were actually announcing, I believe, the Parents Network during this interview.

[00:03:54]And the purpose of this video, whether or not they hit the mark or not, was to try to talk to parents whose children have passed away. Um, and they want to blame social media, but a lot of the examples that they brought in could be um would be a little bit of a stretch to connect directly to bullying on social media. Okay, so let's watch that clip and let's watch how Megan responds to this mother who's talking about the loss of her son. We had no idea what happened to our son.

[00:04:32]She's just completely checked out. Her eyes are like wide open, but she I don't think she's paying attention. She's not looking at this grieving mother. She's just nodding along. And I mean, look at Harry. Harry is looking at the mother, but Megan, no. I I don't believe this is the look of someone that is passionate or really cares about this issue. Oh, I love the near misses. And this is one of those near misses. Megan goes to push Harry and guide him along. And she misses the mark. Harry was too fast for her this time. Run, Harry, run. It's funny. I love these. This clip is from the Paley Center Awards when uh Tyler Perry won an award. And we all talked about how much Megan wanted to be on the red carpet. She was clinging to him. She didn't want to leave the red carpet. And this is footage of that. See, he's going to take photos with those other people.

[00:05:33]And Megan is reaching out for him because she's not done with her red carpet moment. No, Tyler, don't go.

[00:05:40]We're not done. We need more pictures.

[00:05:42]Wait, Tyler. Let me bask in your spotlight.

[00:05:47]And isn't that like Megan's life motto?

[00:05:49]I would say, let me bask in your spotlight until I can get the spotlight on myself. So, this is an example of Megan thinking that she's just so cute and special compared to other people.

[00:06:02]And here, I'll play it for you. Let's hear what she has to say.

[00:06:05]>> Now, who who as an adult really watches The Little Mermaid?

[00:06:09]>> Look how cute I am. I still watch The Little Mermaid. Now, this whole scene from Oprah was very manipulative because her purpose in talking about the Little Mermaid was she was talking about how she had been isolated and that she was sitting in Nottingham Cottage. She didn't feel comfortable going out of Nottingham cottage while she was part uh while she was a working royal. She was isolated and she was watching The Little Mermaid. And while she was watching The Little Mermaid, because what adult actually watches it? Look how cute I am.

[00:06:42]Cuz I actually watch Disney cartoons.

[00:06:44]Girl, I watch Disney cartoons all the time. Okay, please. I love Disney cartoons. I go to Disney all the time, okay? It's not that big of a deal. But um this is just Megan trying to to be connecting with PE to try to connect with people and just talk about how cute and innocent she is. Now, this was a very manipulative thing that she did here because she was talking about how she was isolated. She was sitting at Nottingham Cottage watching The Little Mermaid and she realized she is just like Ariel because she had to give up her voice in order to marry the prince.

[00:07:19]Yeah. My facial expression, the facial expression you're making right now, I'm making the same facial expression. I roll. I roll. I roll. Heavy, heavy duty.

[00:07:30]I roll. I need to be careful because my mama said if I roll my eyes too much, they might get stuck right there.

[00:07:36]This next clip is from Harry and Megan's visit to New York City. I believe it was 2021.

[00:07:44]Yeah, I believe it was 2021. And you're going to see in just a matter of seconds, Megan is tapping Harry. That's number two. And then number three. So, she does that three times, guiding Harry within a matter of a couple of seconds.

[00:07:58]Let's watch it one more time and let's make sure we count it correctly. So, we have Okay, wait. It is four because the first one she does is she points Harry, go walk over there. Let's watch that again. She tells Harry, go walk that direction. Then she taps him. Then she taps him again. And then she taps a fourth time.

[00:08:17]Let's do it one more time because I think I I missed the first one. So, okay. Walk that way. Tap number one. Tap number two.

[00:08:29]Tap number three. So, four four in four instructions on which way, which direction to go in just a matter of seconds. And you know what? Let's quantify the number of seconds. So, let's see. At what point do I get into the slow-mo around the six 7se secondond mark? So, four times in seven seconds. That's got to be a record. This one is wild to me.

[00:08:55]This is from Harry and Megan's trip to Nigeria in 2024. Look at how she's holding him. She is holding him by the wrist, not by the hand. Now, I I know or I've heard about movements that law enforcement uses and using the wrist is one way where you can control someone. Um, it's and excuse me if I get it wrong and people that if you know martial arts training or you know anything about law enforcement, please drop it in the comments. Let me know if this is true and I'm I'm not just making it up, but controlling someone from the wrist is something that is done. It's taught. And that's that's exactly what I see here. I know I'm stumbling over my words because it's shocking to me whenever I see Megan do this. I couldn't believe it the very first time I saw her doing this in this clip. She actually does it uh a couple of times during these moments uh from Nigeria 2024 and it's it's kind of scary I have to say.

[00:10:00]Here is another example of the double claw. This is from Australia 2018. Harry and Megan had just come off the plane.

[00:10:09]She has her left hand holding Harry's hand and then she has her right hand kind of grabbing him in the forearm. She does almost seem like she pushes his arm back to try to control where his arm goes. We saw her do something very similar actually in the most recent Australia trip. I will uh put that clip once I'm done talking about this clip so that you can see how she did it. And the one from Australia of this year, she it looks like there's like pressure and force behind it allegedly and in my opinion. But this is just another example of Megan guiding Carrie. So many people talk about like why are we say why are we watching videos from 2018?

[00:10:50]Who cares? And so she was just holding his hand it doesn't mean anything. No, you can see this is a pattern of behavior where Megan is controlling Harry's interactions. Megan is controlling where Harry stands, who he talks to, how long he talks to them, how personable he is with people. This is not something that we can gloss over. We need to pay attention to these moments.

[00:11:24]This next clip is from the Emily Chang BBC interview Megan did in the middle of last year, 2025, and she's talking about what her her name is because we're all confused uh at this point what we should be calling this woman. Um because sometimes it's I'm I'm Megan Sussex now and sometimes it's something completely different. And then you know she gets announced into rooms as we heard in that most recent what was it the Variety article where she's walking into uh a New York condominium and her presence is announced. So let's watch this clip.

[00:12:04]>> No matter what my name is or what people call me, I'm still the same person. I'm still the same person.

[00:12:15]I think I need to do a video about names and uh identity and how that connects to narcissism because this is something that I've definitely noticed in Megan. She puts a lot of weight on her the way her name is said, the way the way she identifies herself is very connected to whatever name she's using at the moment. So when she first made her Instagram account and she called herself just Megan, that that was her name, I was convinced she wanted to pull like a Sharon Madonna where her name is enough of an identifier. She didn't want her last name associated with it. She didn't want maybe Duchess of Sussex maybe associated with it. So, I thought it was very important that that's the name that she chose. And then we were she started her Instagram what, January of 2025. And her Netflix series started dropping in spring of 2025, which is when the first time we heard I'm Megan Sussex now. So her a lot of her theme last year was talking about what her name is and how she's known. And I think that's very very important and maybe gives us insight into the way Megan feels about herself and her identity. She changes her identity a lot. We've seen how she imitates uh Julia Roberts.

[00:13:45]>> Got some really solid Rwanda dance moves. Wait for it. Wait for it.

[00:14:00]She has emulated Angelina Jolie.

[00:14:10]She ha copies um Princess Diana. It's because she doesn't have a very clear understanding of self. So, she morphs herself into all these different characters, and they all have different names. And this is just the impression that I'm getting. I haven't done a lot of uh introspection to try to analyze what I'm saying here, but let me know if this is something that you think would be interesting to delve into and if you have any thoughts about it. And this is the video we will end with today. It's another example of a near miss. This is from Invictus, I think 2023.

[00:14:45]And there she goes running after Harry, but Harry's too fast again. Run, Harry, run.

[00:14:54]Oh my goodness. I I love those moments.

[00:14:57]And um yeah, they're they're pretty hilarious.
