And I'm not saying that affirmations are not part of rewiring your beliefs. They totally are. But no one is actually talking about that. There's so much more to rewiring than just saying the affirmations. Firstly, you have to know what affirmations to say. So, you have to become aware of the actual belief that is blocking you. Secondly, you can't rewire your beliefs from disregulated nervous system. So before you rewire anything, you need to regulate your nervous system back to safety. And third, the affirmation can't be too big. Because if the affirmation is too big, your nervous system will go, wait a second, that is not true. And your nervous system will go back to fight flight. So you're back at the starting point. There's no rewiring happening.
So to rewire your nervous system successfully, first you need to have awareness of what the limiting belief actually is. Secondly, regulate your nervous system before you do anything.
And thirdly, the new belief can't be too big to kick your nervous system back into fight flight. Good.
