This commentary powerfully exposes how social media culture has dehumanized us, turning bystanders into passive cameramen rather than active protectors. It is a sobering indictment of a society that prioritizes viral content over basic human empathy.

White Man Brutalizes Black Woman in Road Rage as Bystanders Do NothingAdded:
A white male uh brutally beats attacks a black woman. Broad daylight. Many people are watching. Cars everywhere. Uh there's a guy who runs up. You think he's probably going to at least try to separate this. He takes out his phone.
He starts recording. It's so brutal. I have to show you the progression of screenshots as to what happened. And it lasted a very long time. Put it up full mass. I'm going to give you the information as we have it. The internet is in a frenzy after a video of a man brutally beating a woman over an alleged road rage incident in Las Vegas went viral. The video shows a man in a black t-shirt and black trousers punching a woman violently while she was lying down on her back in the middle of the road.
The Daily Mail reports the incident happened last week on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Park MGM Hotel and Casino, which has been hosting Wrestlemania Stars. Okay. The Atlanta Black Star reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police to see if they intervened. They have yet to respond to Atlanta Black Star. The Daily Mail reports that the violence broke out between four individuals.
You can see in the video a silver Ford and a white Nissan with their doors flung open in the middle of the road. As the fight progresses, you can see a fight between two other women break out behind the individuals who are already on the ground. And at one point, one was seen um stuffing the other into the fort. The two on the ground continued to grab each other as the man violently punched the woman. At one point in the video, you can see a man run up. He took out a cell phone recording the fight, but seemingly does not plan to help at all.
Um, this was this was one of those videos where you look at it and and you're you're pulling for humanity.
You just you're just rooting for humanity. Somebody uh who has some level of humanity in them. Uh get out the car and say, "Hey guys, break it up. Stop."
If you don't want to get physically involved, at least say something. But to come there and and record. So, first of all, most people who saw it did absolutely nothing. Did not get out their cars. It doesn't even seem like they they honked a horn. Um or yelled stop. Okay. Uh this guy gets out of his car. He records. He records.
There are many things that could have been done uh if somebody was afraid of physical contact. Say, "Listen, the police are coming. Are you all going to go to jail if you keep doing this?" Uh or, "Man, get off of her." That's a woman.
or grab him to hold him back and make sure he doesn't get attacked while you're holding him. Very simple things that are instinctive to most people. Um, obviously not to most people who are on the boulevard that day. Uh, Sharon, I saw this video. I saw it a couple of times. Um, we decided not to play the video because of of the brutality. I mean, it it's brutal. It is a brutal beating. Um, I could not imagine seeing something that brutal and not doing anything to try and stop it. It seemed as if she could have died the way he was pounding her head into the ground.
>> Yeah. Uh, honk something. But this is the culture we live in. the the things that you just described in those adjectives that you use is the precise reason that we've been trained to stop the vehicle, pull out the camera, and not document it for the police, but for the viral content potential. That's exactly what we're doing.
>> I stopped arguing with a Republican that we both know, a black Republican who >> I have some arguments for, but who insists that part of the culture is the rap music. My gripe with him is do you ever listen to rock and roll brother?
Okay, because it's there too. The violence is there too. But in some sense I am so concerned about us as a society because the empathy is gone. It is taught that that's out the window. You know, maybe we've just kind of adapted, however you want to call it in this society because of what we viewed and what we have a steady diet of. But that what you saw chose not to show is just horrific. And human beings saw this. And we're >> you make good on that.
>> Good point.
>> Yeah, you make a good point about the content aspect that likely uh individuals um were recording out of content uh wanting to have uh the opportunity to share content on their social media platforms or uh their particular page. And it's interesting uh because I'm I'm reminded of Dr. King who talked about content too, but he said content of character. Content of character.
