College Football 27 will incorporate NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals reflecting real-world changes in college athletics, but will not feature major gameplay changes due to EA Sports' business challenges including AI implementation concerns, the Saudi Arabian investment group's acquisition of EA, and the company's historical sales data showing college football games consistently underperform compared to Madden NFL titles. The game will also be released on mobile platforms with a public beta testing program.

These NEW LEAKS Just Confirmed RIP College Football 27!?Added:
We just got some new leaks from a college football insider that worked very closely with EA Sports. And he had some bad news for anyone hoping for big changes coming to College Football 27.
We also got more news that may confirm the arrival of College Football 27 to mobile as there is even a public beta testing that you could sign up for right now. And I'm going to get into all that news. But before I do, as always, if you guys want to stay uptodate about any information that releases on either College Football 27 or Madden 27, please make sure to be a subscriber, hit the like button, let me know in the comment section. Let's get right into the video.
Now, this first big piece of information is something that mirrors a lot of what I've been saying in my recent videos.
Only this time, we're hearing it from an insider who worked very closely with EA before the release of the College Football Series came back in College Football 25. and his name is Matt Brown, who is not really a gaming insider as much as he is more of a college football insider. And he's responsible for releasing several things that turned out to be true long before anybody else or long before the official uh release information came out with things like the wear and tear system. He was one of the first people that suggested that that was going to be in the game. He also leaked that uh college football was not a reskin of Madden, that was built from the ground up. All these things turned out to be true. He also was the first person to report that the team builder feature was going to be coming back. And pretty much everything that he said eventually came true in college football 25 as he recently went on a podcast called the Scabanchi verse which I only really heard of because I saw another video on my YouTube feed by someone named Rio West Gaming who had a very similar title to a video that I just put out suggesting that we're going to be let down big time when it comes to college football 27. and I wanted to bring this information to my audience's attention, but make sure you check out either the Scavonsky Verse podcast or Rio Gaming and show these guys some support. Now, the first thing that they ask him about this game is what new changes are going to be coming to the game. And his answer is pretty surprising.
>> So, you're pretty wired in with EA, you know, what are you hearing now coming for EA 27?
>> I'll peel back the curtain a little bit.
Like, so ahead of EA the the the first football game 25, a ton of information was shared via email. what I have been hearing on the school side, not from the developer side, but from the licensing and coach and and you know, institutions on on over there, you're not hearing a lot about massive changes to the game.
So, based off of what he's saying there is that when College Football 25 came out and there was a bunch of new information to share, EA was more than willing to share it to people. They would send out emails with a bunch of information in it about the game because they're hoping that these influencers would then pass it on to their audience to create a lot of excitement for these people to then go out and buy the game.
But now based off the fact that there really isn't a lot of information to share, that's why he's no longer receiving emails with information and update about these games. And then he went a little bit deeper. He dug a little bit deeper to some of the contacts that he has with the actual schools that also are working with EA, whether it's in the licensing department or coaches or just people in the know.
and they don't have any information either. Which goes back to what I've been saying in recent videos is the reason that we're not getting any information. We're not getting a lot of leaks is because there's not anything to leak because there is no new information to leak. There are no new features coming in the upcoming game. And he goes into further detail as to why that's happening with several different reasons.
>> The other interesting thing that we noticed was that after the second year, audiences didn't care as much.
>> Sure. The novel behind the scenes Yeah.
trends because it's now now it now it's routine.
>> He does go into further detail with more reasons which I'll play for you guys in a moment. But I first want to touch on that as when College Football 25 returned, there was a lot of excitement because it was the first new football game from that series and really the first competing new football game for anything against Madden in over a decade. But EA has a lot of historical data that lets them know that college football in general does not sell as well as the NFL counterpart. as the last NCAA football game called NCAA 14 sold 1 a.5 million copies while the NFL counterpart released that same year which was Madden NFL 25 the one with Adrian Peterson on the cover sold about 6.16 million copies which is over four times as much and these numbers were pretty consistent for that era and I think EA expects them to return that way as obviously college football 25 return set records for the most sold sports game in North American history but we're already seeing that trend correct as last year, Madden 26, which really wasn't that great of a game, did outs sell college football 26 as they both were in the top 10 selling games of the year. But Madden was slightly ahead as the number six bestselling game while college football was the seventh bestselling game. And I think that they expect this trend to eventually return to what it was, where Madden's going to outperform it every single year. And I think they're also going to put their resources in order based off of that trajectory. But that doesn't mean we should expect a bunch of new features when it comes to Madden either, as he talked about a bunch of unique challenges that EA is currently facing.
>> I suspect part of that is just because of the really difficult business environment and not just EA is in right now, but the entire video game industry where layoffs are rampant. Now, he says layoffs, but what he's talking about is AI, which is a topic that I already made a video about. I will have links to that popping up at the top right hand corner on screen at the end of the video if you guys want to check that out. This video was based off of a report that there was a lot of developers inside of EA Sports that were unhappy with the AI program that they're being forced to work with based on the fact that they didn't think it was doing very good work and they were also upset with the fact that they were being expected to train this AI program that they know would eventually take their jobs. But he also goes into further detail talking about how the Saudi Arabian investment firm is taking over EA as we speak. that EA is in the middle of going private and being sold to the Saudi Arabians and you have uh some potential like levels above the Florida studios and kind of rethinking how they want to do games.
>> Now, he brings up two very different things in that clip there. Number one, I already mentioned and I made an entire video about how the Saudi Investment Group is taking over EA Sports. They did buy them out. They're taking them private, which can mean a number of different things for the employees.
Number one, you don't know if your job's safe. You're already worrying about AI taking your job, which is definitely going to impact your performance, but you also don't necessarily know what the direction of the company is going forward based on the fact that the Saudi Arabian investment group might want to do games very differently, which could be a good thing in the long term, as the Madden community and the college football community and basically every EA sports community is pretty disgruntled with the way that they've been getting games over the last decade or so. So, I'm actually excited with the idea that we could get something very different in the near future. But that's most likely going to mean openw world environments, which is something that a lot of the community is not really asking for as we're already seeing this play out in the FC27. It's expected to have an open world environment as EA has been very public with their desire to create an open world environment in both its American games as well when it comes to college football and Madden. So, these may be big changes that we can expect in the future, but he does lay out what he expects to change in this upcoming college football 27 game, and it's not much. So, I I'm expecting some things that are going to be different.
Um, but I'm not I would not I would think that the jump between 26 and 27 is going to be more similar to the jump between 25 and 26 rather than something massive, a wholesale or anything. The one change that he does suggest that could be a little bit bigger is the incorporation of NIL, which is obviously becoming much bigger in college football every single year as they recently had to institute a $20 million salary cap, which was something that wasn't even a thing when College Football 25 came back. Okay, so let's talk about the NIL and how it's affecting the game. Do you expect there to be any changes or have you heard of anything in how recruiting is going to change in the next game like to more account for NIL? Um on on as far as recruiting is concerned though this this is something that I heard from developers on both ends was a they're wor they're facing two different challenges right they want to make the game realistic and there was some concern for both previous editions of this game that the mechanism for paying players >> um changes so much and you kind of have to have this game system really kind of locked and ready to go 5 months before release that it didn't feel fair to do it which is why it wasn't really a factor at all in the first game and all the way through kind of, you know, secondary, you know, metrics, right? The other challenge is making the thing fun >> and and I I can tell you just because this is my job and and I write about the how roster construction actually works in real life. If we made a very very realistic depiction of how you right now like go through the transfer portal and get a roster of 105 people, you guys would hate it. So, I have not had anybody with an EA email address explicitly tell me, hey, you know, you're going to manage a payroll this year. Um, I think there is some reticence also in making this as realistic as possible to appease the lences.
Um, but I will say that I I know for the firsthand knowledge that the fan and community feedback of this doesn't feel very realistic >> because my NIL budget is a standin for like my brand and there's not really way for me to impact my brand. They are aware of that.
>> I don't think what you're going to see in the game in a couple of months is going to be super realistic, but I I do think it will likely be more realistic than it is right now in terms of like figuring out how to allocate those resources. So, he does acknowledge the fact that either from the schools that he talks to or EA Sports themselves that the NIL incorporation into the game is very important, but he also doesn't really seem to think that they're going to have it incorporated too much because they would almost have to rework the entire system, which is something that I mentioned in my last video. If they were to add money into the game, which currently has nothing, there is nothing in the game in the recruiting system that talks about money. for them to add that to the game, they'd have to completely rework the system, which they haven't done yet. And from the sounds of everything else we're hearing, it doesn't sound like they're going to be making any other major changes based off of how much change is going through the company itself, and that would be a major change. So, I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen in College Football 27. Now, one of the biggest changes that might be confirmed by the next thing I'm going to show you guys is the fact that College Football 27 should be coming to mobile. as screenshots have been shared online of an invitation that's been being sent out by EA Sports that has some very unique information specifically to mobile. As you can see at the top, it says that we're looking for players to help with an upcoming closed play test. And then when you go down into the few importance notes section, you can see that number one, this is invite only. So you would have to get an invite like this from EA. But then you also have something that says that we're looking for both iOS and Android players, which means that this is a beta infight for something that's going to be happening on your phone. And I've already made a video about previous leaks suggesting that College Football 27 is coming to mobile. So if you guys want to learn about that or any of the other things that I talked about in more detail, just click links. And until next time, thanks for watching, man. Wash it out.
