Let's have a look.
Hi everyone, if you are watching, I have already started my video, but I thought it would be interesting if I got a little bit of a live stream as well.
I don't even know if this is working, so we shall have to see. Obviously, I'll have my fly over like I always do later on with the improved uh audio quality and um sort of you know voice over after I've already seen everything. But I just thought we might as well get a few people in here um just in case anybody wants to view it tonight. Well, you will see the video tonight probably about 9:00. Uh I was away for the weekend uh in Sheffield actually. So um yeah. So this is why this one's a little bit late today. We will be back tomorrow. Looking over at this tram track here.
Can see they've now cornered it off properly. The excavators are working on the next section and the track bed looks pretty much uh completed a lot of the way. If I just zoom in as well, you can see exactly what the track is doing as it comes into Ken Street.
Follows around there. Just go up a little bit more to get a bit more signal.
And that is all good. I am also going to just transmission. I'm going to go to the 2.4. before and that should help the signal.
Um, I'm now going to switch out of that and back over towards motor homes. You can see that over there. That's going to be a huge development when that gets going. I think over a thousand homes um between one and two bed apartments.
This is then the route that it will take, the tram will take as it goes back into Ken Street Station.
looking over towards the BBC headquarters, at least regionally.
I'd imagine they plan to move in here soon. Looks pretty much complete.
some kind of roof area there with a bit of dirt on it, but other than that, it looks pretty much complete. We'll fly back over here and I will show you the route that the tram is going to take into Cursen Street. So, it's going to follow this road here.
Apologies if I go quiet in a minute.
There's a couple of people walking up next to me. Like to be respectful to everyone, so just give me a moment.
I'm also just going to check that you guys can definitely see me.
17 100%.
One second. People are just walking next to me.
Give it 20 seconds and we'll be back.
We can see a lot of work has gone in down here.
>> Uh some guy is stomping his feet next to me which is interesting. Um we can see all the pile caps or the piles I think these are known as um have been dug up and I think they go further back into that corner where the excavator is. Uh but haven't got through to that just yet and then gonna go back over to one time.
Oh no, I will stay on two times for a bit. Um also apologies, I can't see the the chat just yet. Um I was planning to have that sorted. However, today uh I can't. So please do like and subscribe if you are enjoying this. I am trying to grow this channel as much as I can. Um, and I do appreciate all the views, likes, subscribes so much. So, please let's keep that going. We can send this new concrete slab. I've been told this is going to be used um sort of as a cheap uh layer of concrete that they're going to build on top of. I don't know if this helps anyone. Um, the shapes we can see down here so far as to what they might build. Just looks like a lot of steel at the moment.
Um, so we'll keep an eye on that. And then also if we I don't actually need to do that. I don't know why I did that. Um we can see there's a lot more of those yellow fences down in between the the concrete paws there.
Looking over at the steel work, this form work as people said. There's also concrete slab on the ground by these two supports here.
This is starting to extend out a bit, but it's going much more slowly compared to the decking on the left hand side, which we'll get to in just a second.
Um, we got those umbrellas that they they hook themselves onto when working at height.
Uh, let's have a look at these P uh sort of rebar sections on top of this here.
Not too sure what any of this is for just yet. Obviously, this is they're going to cover it all in concrete eventually, and it'll be one of the floors.
Um, I'm just going to rotate that upwards.
And that is that.
And I'm going to come out of that. Go into wax.
Oh, I can adjust it. Isn't that fancy?
Um, we can see that the rebar over here is now much thicker than it was before on the right hand side.
Um, much thicker on the right hand side as they build towards again fully covered. They've put a hard stop here. I'm not too sure why. um of where the concrete goes up to.
Um and there's some weird spilages uh over here, but I'm guessing they're going to extend the rebar the whole way down and then eventually it will uh connect all up and they'll pour it with concrete again. Um we're going to go over towards Bellingham Bridge now. We might not make it the whole way as the drone does tend to play up, but we'll have a look over in this storage area here.
Um, they're building more of those concrete casts that they do. I'm imagining that is going to be for the rebar acuation tank that we've just seen. Uh, they are filling all of that in with concrete. You can see a blue mat there. That mat there is a place to stop uh movements. So, when it gets wet, uh maybe they're looking for something to be set or something like that, but that is just to stop the dirt moving. Uh we can see they're starting to fill it back in. And there's also been a concrete paw um in between the concrete blocks um that we haven't seen before. So, they are starting to work on that bottom bit of the site that's been that way for a long time. Let's just fly over here now for a second and see what we can see over here. I do just want to check. Sorry guys once again. How many people we got in the live? Only 11. Okay.
It's all good.
Please do. Even if you watch this, tune in to the video later. Um, just give it a view and a like and watch it for a little bit. It does help the channel.
The live streams are more just to give people that want to have up to date content up to date content and uh the videos are the ones that really support me.
So, I appreciate you watching greatly.
Um, I have been told in the comments to give uh this a look.
These crane parts down here. I'm going to go two times on these.
Go four times on these just to see if we can see any names.
There's one there, Decal.
decal deal.
Um, so somebody was asking me to zoom in on those. So, at least now I got a little bit of footage of that. And also, let's see if there's anything over here.
Can we see these?
No. No names on that. just the HS2 branding.
Um, so let's just fly over here and see how far we get. As you can see, the signal is cutting out, but we might be all right just for a moment. Anyway, I'm just going to go a little bit higher. You see a lot more scaffolding is taking place down here.
A lot more. Um, obviously building this up for when Ken number two Varduk wants to get pushed. Uh, it's coming up now in about 2 weeks time.
Um, going to see a lot of movement over here.
They're building that decking up higher than it was before. And I would expect quite a lot has happened over on this side of the railway.
They're working late over here trying to get it all done before the deadline of I think the 24th of May until the 28th of May is when it's going to be pushed. You see that area closest to it, the first support has had a lot of decking done. And over here we can now get a good view of what the workers are up to. This is obviously very late.
It's 7:00 p.m. So, it's good to see people still working here.
Um there's a lot to get ready obviously and they're going to push this whole bridge.
Um so that is going to be very interesting.
Diston junction vux is over there in the back but that won't be moving for a while.
Look over at the container storage area.
That's always rammed.
And now we're going to bring the drone back.
Just going to swing that round.
Look over towards Keren Street again.
I'm now going to fly back over the site and then back down towards um the the offices. We'll have a little quick look and what's going on down there.
And then I think that'll be it. But please do tune in to the video. Again, guys, I appreciate you all tuning in for the the live streams, uh any comments, any super chats. I know they're they're not mandatory at all, but I do appreciate them all. Um makes it more viable me coming out here. Um cuz it is expensive on the trains. I'm hoping to change that one day if I grow the channel. Get a get a place I can do live streams all the time, but not at the moment. Looking over at Ken Street, the Ken Street building, they haven't really started any work on that.
I know there was remediation work that they were going to do, but I don't know if the money's run out or not.
Just going to look over here again at the decking section.
I know we've only had today they're off for the weekend, but they've now done how many piles have they done? So, they've done Oh, we can see this section. They've done a concrete pour as well around the these new rebar sections. That's interesting to see. But here they've done one see 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and it extends out to 11 and they got 1 2 3 4 five left and it's good to see finally they have put the concrete mold around this final one here. They were taking their time to do that. So that is good to see that they have done that.
Now just going to take a look at these offices as it gives us an idea of when these might be operational.
It looks largely the same as it did before. Uh still a lot of dirt. They they need to extend this concrete pathing the whole way around it. Um but I'm sure that will happen too long. Aircraft will return to the home in 10 seconds.
>> I'm going to have to return the drone now. But thank you all very much for watching. I do appreciate it greatly.
Please tune in to the video later and uh yeah, thanks guys. Please like and subscribe.
