MoveQuest Hatchery - Reading the Smart Contract

[00:00:06]Hey there everybody. I'm going to do a really quick video to explain the hatchery balances.

[00:00:13]When First thing you want to do is go and get the golden hatchery contract address, okay?

[00:00:20]You're going to copy that and you're going to come over here to SnowTrace and you're going to paste it right here.

[00:00:29]You're going to paste that contract address into the search bar.

[00:00:32]Now, what some people have done is they've gone here under token, right?

[00:00:36]And they see that there's 751,500 and almost one MQT in the golden hatchery's smart contract. Now, what I want you to do, I'm going to show you guys how to use the contract. Go and click on contract.

[00:00:55]Scroll down to number 40 once it loads here.

[00:00:58]>> [snorts] >> Click on it and input tier one, okay?

[00:01:04]Just the number one. Query.

[00:01:06]It's going to show you that there's 5,012 MoveQuest tokens. Actually, 5,000 almost 13 if it was rounded up.

[00:01:14]Tier two, do a query.

[00:01:17]5,123.

[00:01:20]Tier three, whoop, tier three.

[00:01:24]26,387.

[00:01:28]Tier four, 794,999.

[00:01:34]Tier five, is 50,000. Okay, those are the numbers that you see when you click on the golden hatchery and you scroll down and you see these numbers here. Now, if you go back to the tokenomics and you go back to contracts, I want to explain to you the golden hatchery right here. 881,522 is the total number of MQT that's been deposited into the hatchery. The 751,000 that you see that's showing inside this hatchery is lower than this balance. Why? Because the MQT has got to move from the MoveQuest vault. Okay? Where you see the 17,276,000 to cover your farming rewards. But this doesn't happen on an everyday basis.

[00:02:34]This happens every 90 to about 120 days.

[00:02:40]Why? Because in the hatchery balance, people will claim, people will renew, some people will cancel. And so this balance inside the golden hatchery smart contract is always changing on a daily day basis. It doesn't matter as long as the rewards are able to be claimed, right? Because it's a staking contract.

[00:03:06]It is not looking at every single MQT because the rewards are coming out of this contract right here.

[00:03:16]Uh the MQT vault. So as long as there's enough MQT in that vault, which is 17,276,000 because it's going to take 34 years for those to be um mined and farmed, there's plenty of the MoveQuest that's already allotted for this year's farming and mining rewards sitting right here.

[00:03:37]And so it looks at this number up here, which is 751,000, and it will reconcile every 90 to 120 days. So it's already reconciled once, and it deposited in um the MoveQuest tokens and it will reconcile again. What's important to understand is that there's nothing wrong with this number and that there is no dis- discrepancy. The only thing that is probably confusing to people is that those MoveQuest in the vault, which are allotted x amount is allotted each year for mining and for farming, only reconciles three to four times a year. Okay, cuz you've got your 30-day cycle, you got your uh 75-day cycle, 135-day cycle, 210-day cycle, and 323-day cycle. So, there's always plenty in there. Now, this doesn't affect um what's being held in contracts because what happens is it just shifts from the MQT vault into the golden hatchery, okay, to meet up with those numbers so they match. So, I'm just wanting to show you how to get all of the values that you need to get. So, you would go down to you know, number 40 on the contract and there you would do a query, what's in tier 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 versus what you show of the actual MQT that's in the contract at the time, knowing that what needs to be in that contract does get deposited from the MoveQuest vault. So, hopefully that explains everything um to everyone. So, the numbers that you see on the website under the golden hatchery stats is 100% accurate. It's just that the two contracts haven't reconciled against each other yet, that's all.
