[00:00:09]We're going to start with uh we're going to talk about the Drake secondary and third albums or whatever you want to call them.

[00:00:46]Um so, we we kind of previewed Spike when we did a a listening uh reaction to Iceman, which is already on the channel.

[00:01:14]And there were uh it's actually not on this album, but it's on the other album.

[00:01:21]But uh but yeah, so I'm I'm getting that mixed up. But yeah, this was the one I didn't listen to, Fifo.

[00:01:27]So, I finally got a chance to listen to it. Uh-huh. What what do you think of the R&B R&B Drake album?

[00:01:34]I think this [ __ ] is god awful.

[00:01:39]That's what I think. [laughter] I I have I have so many thoughts just overall, but I I listened to this maybe three or four times.

[00:01:55]And uh I just could not find it. I couldn't find anything. I I got maybe like one track off of here that's called classic. I might give you WNBA. I might give you that. Everything else is complete utter garbage. Party Next Door, I don't know what in the hell is wrong with him or his voice. I don't know what thing he has in his voice while he's singing make it kind of stutter like that. I have absolutely no idea. I remember I told you guys I put it in the chat or I told you guys also in person that somebody said that Sexxy Red ruins every song that she's on. I thought that she was talking about that that that teenager.

[00:02:41]Uh I have teenage kids. I'm not tricking out here. But uh I um I thought they were talking about like Cheetah print.

[00:02:54][laughter] Cuz when I heard Sexxy Red and I'm like She trying to put her sexy voice on, Keith. I was like, "Yo, the get her off everything ASAP.

Like one of them would they they did like the Ice Man joint and they were kind of okay with the other joints that didn't like them. Now I understand. You know, I understand why nobody's talking about these joints. This this [ __ ] this uh Habibty or whatever it is, it's it's it's Bro, this is some of Drake's worst work.

[00:03:40]Keith, this is why all these years all these years y'all [ __ ] especially Mike City Town, especially you, talking about, "Oh, I just want a Drake R&B album. That would be the best version of Drake.

[00:03:54][ __ ] that. That's what this project proves, Ken. Drake sounds good at times on the R&B [ __ ] but that's not the lane. And this album proves that, Ken.

[00:04:05]I'm so with you. I'm I'm I'm I'm Not that I'm disappointed cuz it's kind of like I told y'all so. Like R&B and Drake don't really go together like some of y'all really thought it did. Um but I give you classic, Ken. I think that that's actually a really good song. [music] WNBA is possible.

[00:06:22]Cuz I mean we we we do this. We review these things. And I started going through and I'm like, oh, it sound all right. Like I found myself listening to some songs and I was like, oh, cuz I don't hate R&B Drake. I like R&B Drake.

[00:06:38]That's one of my favorite Drake songs.

[00:06:39]Like I [ __ ] with R&B Drake. I [ __ ] with Marvin's Room, Redemption. Like I like that >> Drake babe.

[00:06:46]And I wanted to hate this so bad. And I did on my first listen, but I did go back.

[00:06:53]And I started listening to it and I started hearing some of the [ __ ] that he was talking. I started hearing some of the things that he was saying.

[00:07:00]And there's two reason that the well, a couple of the reasons why I like this album. One, I was glad that it didn't cuz it if this if some of this [ __ ] was on Ice Man, I would have been pissed.

[00:07:11]I would have been pissed if he had thrown this on Ice Man and try to mix this in and force this on us.

[00:07:18]I think what makes me like this album is that it stood alone.

[00:07:23]Like it's like, okay, if you want to hear R&B Drake, here go 10, 11 songs for you. Have fun.

[00:07:30]And as I'm listening to them, it it's the R&B Drake that I'm cool with, but also is more rapping on it.

[00:07:38]There's a little rapping on there, too.

[00:07:39]And I'm like, okay, he talking his [ __ ] HE GOT HIS CONFIDENCE BACK. He He didn't bounce back from Kendrick whooping his ass. Like I like I [ __ ] WITH THIS. I LIKE THIS.

[00:07:54]You know I'm not saying I'm riding around listening to Habibti. I'm not doing that.

[00:07:59]But [laughter] I like it a lot more than I thought that I would and I ain't going to lie, I hate that I do. I I wanted to hate so bad. Like y'all know AB is a [ __ ] Drake stan. I wanted to get on our show and just just [ __ ] on these other two albums, but I couldn't. I couldn't do it in a genuine, transparent manner because I listened to this and I found myself like, I know I [ __ ] with that. That's cool. That's some cool [ __ ] The same song that y'all said. I I I like that uh classic. That's that's fire.

[00:08:31]Yeah. I like Slap the City. I like WNBA.

[00:08:34]That rusty intro is trash. The intro doing the country thing, I don't know what was going on right there. I don't know what that's about. That that's absolute garbage.

[00:08:42]However, there were a out of the 11, I would say maybe five, six songs to where I found myself like bobbing my head like, I ain't mad at this. And again, I think a lot of it is too because it's not on the main album.

[00:08:58]Had those five or six songs that I liked been on Ice Man, I would have been pissed. I would have been ranting and raving. Like, why are these songs on here? What are you doing? But the fact that he placed them over there by themselves and say, "Hey, here's the R&B joint." And I go listen to them. I'm like, "Okay, I get it. I [ __ ] with it."

[00:09:16]That's the one thing That's the one thing from your tape that I 1 million percent agreed with. And this is what I was telling Ken after we listened to Ice Man that I like the fact that he separated them. And I know we're going to get into Man of Honor. Um but I I do like the fact that he separated the R&B [ __ ] off of the main album. And the main album was primarily rap. He did give you some vibey Drake singing-ish type [ __ ] cuz it's Drake. But the the majority of that is here. So I'm cool with that. I'm not I'm not mad with that at at all.

[00:09:53]But I don't like it at as 11. Like look, I'll give you Slapping in the City.

[00:10:00]I like the song. I don't like Drake.

[00:10:13]Um High 5s. I just feel Drake sounds lazy. I do like the beat. Like the production on this I don't hate. I just I hate how lazy Drake sounds as an R&B artist, which is what I don't like That's That's the reason why I don't I feel it allows him to be the laziest version of himself, which is why I don't like R&B Drake. Yeah, well. Yeah, I I I remember your takes, Mike. And you made me listen to it differently and it didn't work.

[00:11:59]Yeah, I give it a B, man. Like I cuz again, like bro, I'm not a Drake I'm not the Drake dude. Like that ain't the role that I play in podcast that I do. Like I don't like It it it pained me to even be like sitting there and be like, damn, this ain't as bad as I want it to be.
