The video offers a sharp meditation on the trap of comfort, framing regret as a necessary engine for growth rather than a burden. It insightfully suggests that moving forward is not an act of escape, but a vital defense against the stagnation of one's own history.

Evening Podcast | DeniaAñadido:
Ah.
We meet again.
Come.
Sit.
How is it?
The room feels bright enough, doesn't it?
With a window this large, every time the shutters are opened, it's like stepping straight into sunlight.
Back when I was at the academy, I loved moments like this.
Just lying in the warmth, letting myself drift off.
On a good day, all it took was closing my eyes, and an entire class would melt away like [music] butter.
Sometimes, I'd wake to the glare of the sun, or the faint sting of heat [music] where my hair had been scorched.
Even so, it always [music] felt nice.
Hm.
How should I describe it?
Imagine this.
A quiet afternoon.
A gentle breeze passing through the room.
The professor stands at the front, patiently working through formulas.
Everyone around you is focused, listening, writing their notes, and chasing a future ahead of them.
And you?
You don't quite belong there.
You are just passing through.
So, you turn your head, and outside the window, the square is alive with people, laughter, and youth.
You could watch them for hours or turn back to listen or simply lie down and fall asleep again.
Does having choices despite not belonging count as freedom?
I don't really know.
But for me it was rare.
And because of that I treasured it.
Though I used to love basking in the sun like that now it makes me a little uneasy.
Why?
Mhm.
Maybe I've just started to feel that it's a waste.
After all there's only so much daylight in a day.
If I spend it all asleep I'll miss people and things that won't come back.
Oh, don't take that too seriously.
I'm only joking.
That look on your face just now it gave me a curious sense of satisfaction.
Still some things are easier to understand only after you've lived through them.
There are people who are pinned to something because they can't bear to be idle.
They've lived long enough and remember too well.
They know what regret feels like.
And once [music] you've tasted that you start running just to avoid feeling it again.
So perhaps it's better to forget.
Keep moving forward.
Don't look back.
Joy doesn't visit often.
>> [music] >> This isn't escape.
It's refusing to repeat the same mistakes.
Hm?
You think those were kind words?
>> [sighs] >> How disappointing.
Well, no matter.
At least I've said what I wanted to say.
The sun's setting.
And I'm getting a little tired.
Goodbye.
