Man arrested for trying to sell retired NASCAR truck as road-legalAdded:
Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a man who they say tried to sell a retired NASCAR truck as a vehicle legal for public roads at a Cumberland County car auction. Police say Yancey Cup of Williamsport purchased the truck from a NASCAR series truck driver and installed a fake vehicle identification number which he used to get a Pennsylvania certificate of title. He then sold it at the Carlisle car auction for $10,000 claiming a former owner made it legal for street use. Police say an examination of the vehicle confirmed that it is in fact not street legal. Cup is now facing seven felony charges including forgery and deceptive business practices.
