When religious leaders prepare for death by creating trusts and wills, family members may contest these arrangements in court, particularly when there are questions about the leader's mental capacity, potential coercion, or discrepancies between the trust and will documents.

Rachel Lamb Court Case: Is It Joni's Will or Family Trust? Let's Dig InAdded:
We have some late breaking news. Um, we are finding out today that Rachel Lamb has gone to court. We're not exactly sure why. We believe that there was a hearing at 1:30 p.m. Is that Central time, Dallas time?
1:30 p.m. or whatever time zone that is.
And um and it looks like that she has um now if you can put that full screen JT I'll see if I can see what is going on.
So what we what we see here is uh Rachel Lamb Brown.
Um, and then uh it looks like it says descend descendant Lamb Joanie Traml, also known as Weiss, Joanie Lamb. Public notice uh unknown missing or incapacitated air.
Um h so she's going to court. So there's a few a few things that we're finding out like what could it be? First of all, we know that there's a trust, but it appears that um somebody has information that she submitted the old will, which one just wondering like what will that is because there was a will that Joanie was never able to find. Um, so she submitted an old will and Rachel also submitted a new will. Now, if she's in court and perhaps contesting anything like that, uh, then we have to ask a few questions. Is that because Joanie made a new will and so she's not happy about how that went. Usually, you only go to court if you know you're not happy about something. Um, otherwise it just all kind of falls into place. So, some questions we have are, is Rachel upset with the addition of Doug Weiss?
Is Rachel upset with the addition of Jonathan Lamb at the end near the end?
Uh, Joanie Lamb finished well.
She had some come to Jesus moments.
We are not at liberty and Kenyon has revealed some things but no one's at liberty to quite say the whole crux of everything involved. But now Rachel may have a problem with what Joanie did at the end. So we're going to uh just delve into a little bit. Let me show you uh Trinity Foundation's write up regarding Dayar and sort of some of the moves that Joanie made. I urge you to please watch trinity foundation.org.
Um watch as in make sure that you follow them online. It's trinityfi.org.
Okay.
So, preparing for death downsizing during Joanie Lamb's final year. This is by Barry Bowen. It came out May 22nd, 2026. So about 6 days ago. Um, show me Lord my life's end and the number of my days. Let me know how fleeting my life is. Psalms 39:4.
And Joanie Lamb, co-founder of the Dayar television network, a ministry that promoted the prosperity gospel, died May 7th at age 65. While it is alleged that Joanie died from bone cancer, which this is not true now, we know it is breast cancer. Dayar has not disclosed the cause of death. In her final year on Earth, Joanie prepared for death by downsizing. Joanie sold three homes she owned and placed four properties in a trust so that assets could be shared after death without going to probate.
Um so we see here 829. So August 29th of uh 2022 warranty deed uh lamb Joanie Granters MHC. So, I believe this is the sale of the home that she was in when she began seeing uh Doug Weiss in March of 20 March 25, 2026. So, March of this year, this uh the granters uh Lamb Joanie T and Lamb Joanie Traml guarantees Lamb Joanie Trust. Lamb Joanie Traml trustee revocable trust of Joanie Lamb. So the property is put into um the trust. All right. So the screenshot this is saying Bib County, Georgia. E search shows property transfer of uh Macon Georgia home to the Joanie Lamb Mon Georgia home to the Joanie Lamb Trust.
Okay. So, this is actually showing um that that Georgia home, all right, was put into the trust. So, pardon my uh not reading ahead, everyone. We're on the fly right now. Okay. Joanie encouraged Dayar viewers to put the TV network in their wills. Dayar's legacy stewardship page lists reasons for estate planning. Here are four of them which may have influenced Joanie in preparing for her death. Ensure your property is transferred to the persons of your choosing, not the states.
Prevent persons from receiving any of your assets. Make charitable contributions and maintain privacy.
So, so that was on the Dayar um the Dayar legacy stewardship page as they were encouraging people to leave your items to us. Um and in fact um you know a couple of um All right. No, I'm I'm not gonna say that right now. Okay. In March 2025, with assistance from Trinity Foundation, journalist Julie Royce reported, all right, on the Day Star, President Joanie Lamb owns seven homes.
But now, actually, um, as as Trinity is telling us, we're back to Trinity, that it is uh not the case any longer. All right, so let me enlarge this. Here we are. Three of the properties were purchased following the death of Joany's first husband, Marcus Lamb.
These properties, which included a beach condo in Myiramar Beach, Florida, costing 2.9 million, may have been purchased with funds from Marcus Life's insurance policy. Joany's prior residences were partially paid for by generous clergy housing allowance which totaled 1,671,000 and 324 from uh 2002 to 2011. The taxexempt housing allowance was disclosed in financial documents that Dayar gave to defendant Janette Hawkins, a former Dayar employee falsely accused of blackmail. Trinity Foundation successfully sued as an intervenor to get the financial records unsealed.
So this is the job of Barry and Pete who run um Trinity Foundation. They are watchd dogs. They are keeping track of what these mega ministries are actually doing, where they get their funds, how they use their funds. Unlike secular nonprofit organizations, Joany's nonprofit Word of God fellowship because it has church status is not required to file a form 990 which would disclose to the IRS and the and the public the housing allowance given to highly compensated employees. In October, Joanie sold her twostory Collieville, Texas residence. The final sale price is unknown. According to the general warranty deed with vendors lean, the new homeowner acquired the property with a loan of $2,350,000, but that does not include the amount of down payment. So, the home would have been worth more. I believe uh this is the one that we're seeing. Um, this is the drone footage of Joany's former home uh that was supplied to Inside Edition and uh they were keeping track and and seeing uh what this is all about. So, you know, when there has been um a lot of giving over the years by grandmas and stuff, you know, just kind of important to know uh where these things because Joanie Lamb is not the only one to acquire multiple properties. We've seen Shawn Fo has done the same thing. And according to Redfin, the Collieville home is worth $3,365,263.
Meanwhile, the Tarant County appraisal of the property was $5,779,632 for 2024 through 2026.
So, let me just see here what happens when we push on Red Fin. So, okay. I think that um I don't know what happens there. I don't think I don't even know if that's um what uh this would Let me see. Let me just Okay, how about this one? Okay, so the original one which was um the big one um I'm guessing and uh they will know more than me, but I think this might uh be the new home.
Uh, we estimate the home's value 3,42,000.
Oh, no. This was built in 2004 and it was on 2.03 acres. So, I believe that this is the home that Joanie sold after she married Doug and then they built a new home, which you'll remember that we had a guest on where Joanie had told the new guest she was downsizing.
That's why she was selling the house.
But they didn't downsize. They they bought uh the Taj Mahal. So, they built it. Actually, they built the new one.
Okay. All right. So, then Red Fin reports and these other ones, $300,000 homes. Another estimate is 831 for another home. Uh downsizing also occurred at Joony's Broadcast Ministry.
Word of God Fellowship, the parent organization of the Dayar television network, sold its Gulfream G-Vjet, which the network acquired in 2020 shortly after receiving 3,913,000 um paycheck protection program loan to retain 303 employees during COVID. Um so somehow they retained the uh the employees, I guess, got a got a jet. Um, so in November of 2020, Inside Edition reporter Lisa Guerrero. You might remember that she conducted an ambush interview of Marcus in the parking lot of the Timon Country Club in South Lake, Texas. And therefore, when Marcus arrived for the Dayar golf tournament, Guerrero and her cameramen sprinted out of the van to question Marcus. Um, Guerrero asked, "Did you use taxpayer money to buy a private jet?" Marcus responded, "No, we did not. We had our own money." Dayar paid back the PPP loan. And I just want to say right there, something honorable took place.
So, I like that. Um, these guys that have things that are going on are given choices and there's a lot of money flying around. And before anyone of us can judge people that are very wealthy, um, imagine if that was your burden to bear. Oh Lord, please don't ever don't ever test us with great wealth.
So, you know, you can get yourself in trouble because money comes. But apparently, they did literally pay back that PPP loan. Studying the accumulation of wealth by religious leaders by documenting property holdings. In 2021, the Houston Chronicle published an investigative article series on the topic of church parsonages.
Investigative reporter Jroot submitted open records request to county uh property assessors to identify the state's most expensive um properties.
And I think um uh Trinity Foundation assisted them with all of that. And this is what um you know, if you wouldn't mind just blessing them. I know that Trinity Foundation barely gets any funds to support the work that they do. They're not rolling in it because everyone's busy supporting the big people with all the money, but these guys, they're watchd dogs and they're keeping a handle. We've had them on the show. Jonathan and Susie recommended them highly and said they just appreciate that they bring integrity. And as you know, Jonathan Lamb is the type that, you know, when things are not being done correctly, he likes to bring it to light, which probably is not the favorite thing that Rachel and Rebecca liked about their brother. They probably have some things they liked about him, but but bringing accountability in the financial department may not have been one of them. Nonetheless, this is exactly the kind of leader that we need. In addition to reporting on Jony's property holdings, Trinity Foundation also published the article's worship uh leader acquires nine hopes and two parsonages regarding Shawn Fo and the article billionaire televangelist sells condo for 13 million about Brazilian preacher Adair Mido because of course we need one of those you know. So um h uh uh they they have also done this speculation abounds following the death of televangelist Joanie Lamb. How did she die? Who will be Day Star's next CEO? And of course that is what we talked about a little bit with the guys today. Big decisions being made. Here is uh Joanie Lamb. was the famous video in which I knew that um I just needed to um leave dayar and needed to stand up for what I believed was the right thing. So why is uh Rachel at the courthouse today having some sort of hearing? Is she trying to change anything? Um from my understanding trusts and things like that are not easily changed. But if there was a new will, she might say, "Well, at the end, Joanie was not herself. She was on morphine. She was drugged up. She may have uh, you know, may have been coerced into signing properties over. Maybe the will doesn't have everything that the trust has in it. So now I just want to say um I if if Rachel Lamb is trying to bring accountability to anything that Doug Weiss might be getting then we are like team Rachel. Let's have a standing ovation right now in in our rooms in uh yes the entire studio here is now bursting into applause. Rachel, if you're going to bring accountability and uh deal with Whoops. Look at that light.
All right. Even the light was excited about it. Uh, but if Rachel is going to, you know, um, make sure that Doug Weiss does not receive benefits from the chaos, the absolute chaos that he brought into the family, then I think that's good. And we support you in that, Rachel. 100%. You go, girl. Go, girl.
Um, if you'll remember back in the day, Rachel, Rebecca, and Jonathan were very upset about Doug Weiss in the picture. Doug the Pug was brought in and very wonderful name by Rebecca.
Wonderful, wonderful sort of little, you know, just a little sweet name for Doug. So, whatever's going on here, it's serious. Um, it's happening and we're kind of finding out late, but we wanted to bring it to you and as soon as we know what's going on, people will be going to the courthouse to see what can be found out. Why is Rachel Lamb having a hearing? Nobody else has been notified that we know of that we know of. So, Jonathan and Susie have not been notified. I will do one final check of my texts here before we move on to the end of the show. Nope, that's all we know today. It's very interesting. So, we'll keep you posted and um we'll uh be back.
