Can The Mammotion Luba 3 AWD Handle The Uneven Terrain?

[00:00:01]Sid here. Thanks for clicking on the video. I have been on light duty now for a little bit and got a couple more weeks left to go before I can get back to full business regular usual life, but I'm fine.

[00:00:19]And you guys know we have tested out a few of these, but Mammotion was nice enough to send us their newest Luba 3 and I went ahead and tested it out and I'm going to show you guys how it works and see what you guys THINK ABOUT IT.

It is a 360 degree lidar plus net RTK plus dual camera AI vision. It's got a new cutting disc design that reduces grass clogging, a longer battery life, and 3 years of free 4G.

[00:02:11]Now, the new LiDAR view will give a range of up to 70 m. Luba 3 AWD captures your entire yard with extraordinary precision.

[00:02:29]With that dual camera AI vision, it'll provide a detailed stereoscopic vision of your yard. The system detects and recognizes almost any object, including toys, furniture, and pets, and sometimes even people. While our yard may seem like it's relatively flat in the front, it has a lot of little dips and valleys when you're walking through it, you can really feel it that there's a lot of little like bumps and divots and ups and downs. And while this may not look like a steep grade out here, I promise you it is difficult to rain for some of these mowers. And the Luba 3 was able to continually mow without any issues, without having to stop and kind of reassert itself. It kind of just would reposition if it got into a divot and pull itself out. It's ultra powerful with the high torque dual 165 W motors and 12 blades that will cut even thick grass with adjustable speeds up to 300 RPMs for efficient and quiet performance. The lithium battery will deliver up to 215 minutes of run time and will auto recharge and resume to continue the task.

[00:03:39]In 1 day, it'll cover about 1.7 acres.

[00:03:43]Now, you can set it up to map up to 100 smart zones uh in your area. So, let's say you have during different times of the year, maybe different things that you plant, or different areas that you want it to mow around, or differently in your in your yard. This will allow you to set up many, many different versions of your layout of your yard. It will also do lawn printing, so you can set up patterns. So, let's say your kid really loves soccer, and you're going to have a birthday party, you can put a soccer ball in the front yard if you like. Now, every model comes with a built-in 4G module, and 3 years of complimentary 4G data. Now, when your mower is connected to the Wi-Fi, which for most people it would have to be pretty close to the house for that, you can utilize the camera system to be able to monitor your yard a little bit, or check on your pets. Of course, it's waterproof, and also has rain detection, so if it is out mowing, and it starts coming a flood, it will return to base. And of course, along with that 3 years of 4 G, it also comes with a 3-year warranty. Now, this Luba is all-wheel drive. No worries about getting stuck. It enables maximum of 80% climbing ability, and vertical obstacle clearance of up to 3.2 in, easily overcoming common lawn obstacles like pits and stones.

[00:06:17]And in Mississippi, like true fashion, you can already tell it's starting to grow back. It's only been what? 2 and 1/2 days.

[00:06:25]Um but we've had so much amazing beautiful weather. Um but you can see the the nice lines in the lawn here and how it cut very straight.

[00:06:36]So, for me, while I'm recovering right now and Mike's having to do a little extra duty, having something like this that can handle my bumpy, weird little front yard here that I know it may look straight to you guys, but it really isn't. Um if you were to walk out here, it's like you kind of get your exercising cuz you're kind of going up and down all these little bumps. This one's really easy to program and set up, which I like. Well, I would say it maybe can't handle the tallest of grasses. Um you definitely do want to start with at least a base cut on your lawn that you can then more easily maintain.

[00:07:11]Um I do think that it does a decent job for what it is. If you have elderly parents or somebody that you don't want to have to constantly be going to their house to mow for them, but you still want to be able to keep it maintained, something like this would be easy to program and let it roam free uh to keep their yard maintained.
