I Tested ColourPop Best Sellers 😍 Hits, Misses + Hidden GemsAdded:
Hey loves. Today we're doing an updated full face of ColourPop. So, grab a snack, get cozy, and let's get into it.
Need to hydrate the lips immediately.
So, I'm using the Fresh Kiss Glossy Lip Balm in Strawberry Milk. This is really plush. It's hydrating. It smells good.
It smells, this one specifically, like a Smackers lip balm. I really needed that.
And this is also not sticky, but it doesn't come off right away. Like, it actually does grip on the lips and it hydrates. Colourpop has a bunch of these, but this one is my personal favorite. And then they also have the same glossy lip balms in a pearl finish.
So if you like a shimmer in your lip combos, the one that I really like is whipped cream. And then just to show you, it just gives a nice little shimmer. This smells like a dessert. But again, these come in different colors as well. And here are both finishes side by side. So we have the one up top, which has that pearl finish, and then the one on the bottom is just the traditional glass-like finish. I'm going to start off with the brows per usual. I'm going to use the ColourPop Brow Boss pencil in soft black.
Sometimes I forget about this brow pencil. My favorite one is from NYX, but this one is pretty similar. I feel like the one from NYX is a little bit more pigmented right off the bat. And I love any type of micro fine pencil like this because you can be so detailed.
Now, I'm going to take a little bit of the tinted foundation balm in a light seven to carve out the brows. It does not matter the brand, the look. This needs to be done.
Now, we're going to set the brows with the Brow Boss 24-hour lifting gel. This is a great Rare Beauty dupe. I actually just bought a new one cuz I'm scraping the edges of this. And I just went to Ulta. I mean, by the time you guys see this video, I don't know if this sale is still going to be happening, but everything ColourPop was on sale. I I think just about everything. And then I also redeemed some of my points. So, for the things that I got, I paid less than $2 for some of them.
I love this gel.
So, the plan for today is some blue liner and mascara cuz ColourPop has a really good blue mascara, but I want to do a basic eyeshadow look just to have some kind of transition down. So, I'm going to use the Cold Stone Fox. This palette is for the cool toned lovers, but what I love about ColourPop is the variety. They have pops of color, neutral palettes, warm tones, pretty much any palette for anyone. And I'm not going to do many shades in here, honestly. I'm going to just take a few of these transition shades.
I did do a touch of the Rare Beauty eyeshadow primer because that is my go-to. The concealer I have from ColourPop, unfortunately, it's going to be a little bit too dark, so I'm going to have to mix it. But you could always use concealer on your lids as primer as well.
ColourPop's formula has always been really good, and that's another thing I love about them. Just a nice basic transition. Not too much, but I want to add a little something in here. Let's take a little bit of this muted toned color. This one's in trip.
Packing that on the inner lid. I'm also going to do a bright white inner corner highlight. I love how much this just brightened. Then take a little bit of this dark gray.
Now, ColourPop has these new gel eyeshadow sticks. They come in a bunch of different colors. So, I'm going to use this light translucent color. It's in Diamond Girl sheer opal just to add a touch of glitter. Let's see how this looks. And they kind of remind me of the Dose of Colors shimmer sticks that came out I think at this point 2 years ago.
The sheer opal.
It feels actually cooling, too, just on the back of my hand. So, I'm going to pop that right over top of this and see how it looks.
Ooh, that's pretty.
Oh yeah, I love just gives a little subtle sparkle.
Yeah, these are cooling. I think these are also supposed to be dupes for Tower 28. I'm pretty sure they have cooling shadow sticks. This is a good color, too. I wasn't even planning for it, but it has a bit of this kind of blue shift, so it's going to match the liner and mascara that we're going to do perfectly. Oh, yeah. These are excellent. And if you don't like a jelly stick and you prefer a traditional shadow, the Supershock shadows are incredible. This one's in tassel, but these also come in a ton of different colors and they just give the prettiest shimmer glitter moment. You could really intensify this and dab it all over your lid. Or you can lightly even just tap over your eyeshadow if you want to give yourself a subtle scattered glitter effect. And that is tassel. So different products and they give you a bit of a different effect. The jelly eyeshadow gives a touch more sparkle. I'm actually going to take that supershock shadow in tassel. And I'm going to apply that in the inner corner and inner lid as well.
I'm obsessed with these. These are beautiful.
Now, the fun part is the eyeliner. So, I've talked about these in so many videos. The ColourPop cream gel liners are incredible for pops of color. So, they have the original cream gel liner and then they also have the multi-chrome finishes. So, the shade I'm going to use today is in Ventura Boulevard and it is the most beautiful cobalt blue with that chrome finish. Just stunning.
These are really creamy as well.
These make it so easy to do a little pop of color as well. They have so many different colors in these. Even traditional classic shades like a nude, they have a white, black. Going right underneath with a clean brush. And I'm just going to clean up the wing. That was honestly really easy.
You could even do a wipe just to sharpen that out. And for mascara, I'm using the BFF Volumizing Mascara in the shade Blue Your Mind.
This also comes in purple. I think that it comes in a red color, pink, but blue is the color, especially for brown eyes.
Let's give these lashes a good curl.
The only thing is this is a more wet formula, so it does not hold a curl, unfortunately. So, I'm going to let this dry and I am going to give my lashes another recurl. Be careful doing it. I know technically you're not really supposed to do that, but I still do like the mascara because it volumizes and I love the color. So, if anything, too, this could be a nice mascara for your lower lashes if you want to do this with blue liner. The mascara liner combo is so good. So, although I do prefer a mascara that's not this wet with my straight lashes, the color makes it worth it because it is such a beautiful blue. If you guys have any other favorite blue mascaras, let me know. Now for the skin, we are going to do a little primer with the Pretty Fresh Peptides and Nioinomide Primer. This says it's a weightless cream gel primer that hydrates the skin, extends makeup, and blurs imperfections. I have used this before and I actually really like the consistency of this.
Kind of reminds me of the Tatcha Silky Canvas Primer, the one that's in liquid.
Now, this is just a nice simple primer.
It's smoothing but very lightweight.
Today we're going to do a little bit of the tinted foundation balm. I haven't tried this in I think over a year at this point. I'm going to use the shade medium 9. I think this is meant to be a very lightweight product. So I'm going to just do couple stripes everywhere.
E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush.
Okay. Yeah, it's been a little bit since I've used this.
It feels super lightweight. This doesn't have a lot of coverage. which I would say it does kind of even out your skin, but in a very natural way. It's a skincare infused tinted balm stick that melts like a dream for blurring second skin finish. I agree. Gives buildable light to medium coverage but feels like nothing. I also do agree with that. I think last time I forget what I didn't like about it or something. I don't know. I think I was comparing it to my favorite skin tint stick, which is the one from Milani. That one definitely gives a little bit more coverage right off the bat, but this one does feel weightless. And the finish of this is natural, which is nice. So, it doesn't feel like it's sliding off. It doesn't feel too matte. It's that perfect in between, but I feel like I need a little bit more coverage on these blemishes.
So, I'm going to use their Pretty Fresh hyaluronic creamy concealer. The only thing is the shades are not the best.
Every time I go in stores, a lot of them are sold out. So, I got the color light 60N, and it is a little bit too dark.
So, for the under eyes, I'm going to have to mix another concealer because this is just a little bit too dark for me. Oh my gosh. Yeah, but it does cover up. See? And I'm kind of just blending it in with that tinted balm and it helps.
But yeah. Oh my gosh, this is way too dark. I don't really hear anybody talking about this anymore, though. I feel like people kind of forgot about this formula. It is good. I wish they would kind of do maybe a revamp because sometimes the shades can be a little iffy. A little of it right here. I feel like this would be perfect if I got a fresh tan.
So, I'm going to keep it for that. I'm going to do a little liquid bronzer, cream bronzer, and blush, and then we'll do concealer. These are new. I just tested these out in my last first impressions video, but these are the weightless liquid bronzers. Absolutely stunning, very seamless, buildable pigment. I'm going to mix the shade sunset beach and coral beach. I'm actually going to use a ColourPop brush.
This is the F34.
Colourpop has really nice brushes. This is more of a sheer formula, but it builds up so well.
And this is a true bronzer, so it is very warm.
So pretty. I really like the formula of this. Just tried it yesterday and it was lovely. A very cute packaging, but the formula is even better. These are blendable and seamless. All around a 10 out of 10. Now, if you're not into the liquid and you prefer a stick, their bronzer stick is just as good as the one from Rare Beauty. I feel like they actually have a lot of good Rare Beauty dupes, but this one is in Moonstone Beach. It's an ultra creamy formula and also just a good easy product to work with. I'm using a Real Techniques brush on the other side. This one's the 450.
Just applying it directly onto the brush. So, you obviously don't need both, but I want to show you both formulas because they're both nice and blendable and they give some good color payoff. It just depends on what you like, what you prefer.
These apply nicely directly onto the skin as well if you want to just do a little bit like this. Sometimes I like to work from the palm of my hand and then the brush just gives me a little bit more control with the product.
Let's make some room for blush. And same with the bronzer. We have liquid version and a cream version. Okay, now for blush. They came out with these blush sticks and they are super dewy and creamy. Think road but on a budget. Not a dupe, but I would say, you know, similar kind of concept. This one that I have is in love to see it. A perfect rosy pink. It's like a midtone pink where not too cool toned, not too dark.
But these also come in beautiful shades.
It's just an ultra dewy formula. BK Beauty 109 brush.
And then on the other side, we're going to do the weightless liquid blush. Just like with the bronzer, this is weightless, blendable.
And there's just something about this formula that is so good and the finish.
Everything is perfect. I'm going to add a touch of this color on this side. This one's in Princess A. My personal favorite color. They just came out with some new shades though. If you're into more of a cool toned pink.
This formula, if I had to choose personally, I would go with the liquid because the formula, the finish, something about it I just prefer over the stick. But don't get me wrong, the stick is really good. So, for concealer, I'm going to use the ColourPop Pretty Fresh, but I'm also going to mix in a little bit of the Silky Blur longwear concealer from Essence, just cuz this is a really light shade and I want to try to make this work. I love the Essence concealer, though. This is really good.
I do like the ColourPop concealer, but since this came out, there have been so many more better concealers, similar formulas, and honestly, even better formulas. The Essence one is a great option. That is the little concoction that I did there. I'm going to do an IT Cosmetics concealer brush.
So, although this one I do think it's a good formula, it's not one that I reach for anymore as often. When it comes to hydrating formulas at the drugstore, I still swear by the NYX Bear With Me Concealer Serum. I honestly prefer that one over this one because I love the shades.
I love the finish of it as well, and a little bit of it goes such a long way.
That Essence concealer is incredible, but it is very matte. So, I actually love the way it looks mixed with ColourPop because it does have more of that hydrating formula. It just kind of gives me the best of both worlds. And that's the thing, you always got to just make it work. Maybe you don't always need two shades of the same concealer.
Just mix what I already have and make it work. Just adding a little bit of that mixture to this blemish. I feel like I need more.
Oh, yeah. That helped.
Love this. Essence concealer is bomb.
Feel like it kind of amps up the coverage a little bit as well cuz it is thicker than the ColourPop. Now, this is an amazing product from ColourPop and I think actually the better complexion product out of them all. Even over their foundation, the tinted balm, the concealer, this is number one, the no filter translucent setting powder. An incredible formula. Seamless. Looks great in photos. It's blurring. It's matte. I've always loved this loose powder. This is something that I always like to keep in rotation because it is stunning.
A beautiful mattifying yet still really lightweight powder. It's not as matte as for instance a Huda Beauty powder or even a Wet n Wild loose powder. I think this is one of ColourPop's more underrated products.
And then for setting the entire face, I'm going to use whatever is left over on my cap. I'm going to set the entire face.
So, we are set and smooth. This is definitely the best complexion product that ColourPop has. I would say this and their setting spray. Top tier. Let's finish up the eyes cuz I really want to put on some of this blue mascara on the lower lash line. But I am going to take a little bit of this blue liner that I used and I'm going to smudge it just a little bit on the lash line. And then I'm going to take a brush to kind of blend and diffuse that out.
And for the inner corner, I'm going to take this beautiful white shade. This one is in Dreamful.
BK Beauty 210 brush. By the way, now the blue mascara.
It is time to enhance the blush. I'm going to go in with the pressed powder blushes. I'm going to use the color swirled and prayer air. Do a little combo of both. I'm going to start off with swirled.
These are pretty. They have a good amount of pigment, too. This is an E.L.F. angled blush brush, by the way.
This is such a good color. blending it up towards my temples as well. This formula is so smooth and matte. It looks airbrushed on the skin and gives beautiful pigment. Then we're going to add that gorgeous pink. I'm going to use the same brush and kind of just focus that a little bit more on the apples.
Now, we're going to do a little highlighter. This one is the Supershock Highlighter in Pink Aura. This is a part of their Pink Dreams collection, but they have beautiful shades in these. I mean, so many different ones. You cannot go wrong with this formula. It is basically like a wet, juicy highlighter on the skin. I'm going to just do a little bit with my finger, tapping it over the blush.
Flexitarian is a really good color. It's more of a neutral icy shade.
Now for lips, I'm going to go in with BFF3. I just bought a fresh one of these. I have not used this lip liner in so long.
It's so creamy.
Just like I remember. Stunning.
The creaminess next level. It is more of a warmish brown. Kind of doesn't really match with the look, but whatever. Then I haven't tried their Cloud Whip Blurring Liquid Lipstick. This one is in floating on air. Pretty mauve shade.
Let's add it right in the center. M. That feels nice.
Oh, I love that color. Actually, it doesn't feel as dry as the liquid lipsticks that we remember from 2016. It feels really cushiony, a bit moussey, but also hydrating.
I feel like I need a little bit more pink. So, I'm taking Princess A the blush with my finger.
Oh, yeah. That's perfect. See, I needed a little bit more pink. Yeah, these liquid blushes are my favorite favorite.
I love to match the lips and the cheeks.
I feel like it kind of just brings it all together. Taking a little bit of the cream bronzer on the back of my hand and a fluffy brush. really gently just diffusing a touch more of that around my forehead cuz I feel like I need a little bit more bronziness. And I'm doing this ever so lightly so it's not going to pick up my foundation or powder or anything. It's just going to enhance the bronziness.
And when I do it, I'm feathering it in to my skin super lightly. I'm not concentrating the product at all. But you can see that helped instantly to give a little bit more warmth. I love this formula because you can put it on top of powder and like I said, it's not going to lift your product. As long as you go in with a really light hand, you could apply this cream over top of your powders. Oh yeah, I really needed that.
That is perfect. That liquid blush was the exact thing that I needed for the lip combo to come together. And I'm just going to add a little bit of the glossy lip balm that I showed you guys earlier in whipped cream, the one with the pearl finish.
It smells like a delicious dessert.
And last but not least, we're going to set the makeup with the Pretty Fresh Lock It In Setting Spray. This is amazing. This is another underrated gem from ColourPop. And I think one of their better complexion products. It says it's waterproof, transferproof, and I actually do feel like this locks in your makeup. I have worked out in this. I've been in the heat with this setting spray. It's amazing. It's fragrance-free. It has no fragrance in it and it also has a beautiful spray.
Let's recap all the products we tried.
ColourPop has a lot of gems, but I do think that there are some products that are exceptional and then others that are okay. Their eyeshadow palettes are great quality and I love how they have so much variety. They have neutrals, pops of color, bigger palettes, smaller ones.
Their Supershock shadows are also incredible. If you love glitter and just kind of one and done products, you will love these. And I told you guys, these cream gel liners are incredible. A really great way to enhance your eye look and give yourself a little pop of color without doing too much. I love how creamy these are. They have a lot of pigment and the multi-chrome finish is next level. It looks so good. I love this cobalt blue shade. This is beautiful. If you have brown eyes, you will love this. As well as the mascara, this is stunning. I wish the formula obviously held up a curl a little bit better with my lashes, but the color makes up for it cuz it is so vibrant and pretty. So, those to me are exceptional.
Now, when it comes to the complexion, I think there are a couple things that you could probably skip out on. I feel like ColourPop does cheeks really well. The complexion is okay. So, the primer, this is actually really nice, but I don't think it's necessary. You probably already have primers in your collection.
But if you do want something that is weightless and smoothing, this is a nice one. But I do think that there are better options at the drugstore. It's not a bad primer. I actually love the way it applies. But with this brand specifically, I think if you're going to splurge, splurge on cheek products versus a primer. But it's not bad. the tinted foundation balm. I personally don't love this. I like the Milani Skin Tint Stick more because it still feels weightless like this, but it gives more coverage and I just think it gives more of a blur to the skin. I think the tinted foundation balm is one of those products that's okay. It's not excellent to me, but it's also not terrible. Same with the hyaluronic creamy concealer. It is creamy. It's hydrating. I know I did have to mix it today with the Essence concealer, but I think there's also better options at the drugstore. If you're looking for something medium to full coverage with a hydrating feel, I would go with the NYX Bear with Me Concealer Serum. Even the ELF hydrating camo gives a little bit more coverage and it just enhances the under eyes nicely. I think the shades are also a little bit better. These can run a little dark, so I would skip out on this. Now, splurge worthy complexion products, definitely the setting spray and the powder. This gives that matte blur to the skin without that heavy powder feel or look. It's super lightweight. It looks great in photos.
This is just an all-around beautiful mattifying powder that's not too much.
And then this spray, I love how it melts in all of your powders, yet the dry down is nice and natural, but it actually does lock in your makeup so nicely, especially in the heat. This is a must.
The bronzers are amazing. The cream and the liquid both have a seamless blend, a great buildable formula, and you cannot go wrong with either one of these. The blushes are also amazing. The powders are nice and blurring with a lot of pigment. The cream blush is super dewy with lots of pigment, but it blends just like the cream bronzer. And then the weightless liquid blush is my personal favorite. This looks great even with your lip combos, but it has this beautiful radiance. The lip products are fantastic as well. I really like these lippy pencils. These are really creamy and matte. BFF3 is a great shade. I love how this is a bit warm, but it doesn't pull too orange on my skin. This is a good classic lip liner that'll look good with anything. Their glossy lip balms are my favorite. I love the way these look even before makeup, but even with my lip combos. It just gives such a nice hydrated glossy touch. And this was my first time trying out the blurring liquid lipstick, but this is a beautiful color with BFF3.
How stunning is that? Floating on air.
And it is a beautiful midtone rosy mauve. I loved the way it looked with the lip liner. I wanted a little bit more pink though. That's why I added the liquid blush. But this is stunning and it feels really hydrating yet still a little bit more moussey like a liquid lipstick but not as drying as a traditional liquid lipstick. So let me know which product is your favorite down below. I think for me if I had to choose had to pick one ColourPop product. Oh my gosh, this is hard. I'm going to go with the cream gel liners because these I always go back to them. The colors are fantastic and you can really elevate your makeup look with just one colorful eyeliner. So try these out and let me know which ColourPop product is your favorite down below and what brand should I do next. If you enjoy the one brand looks and drugstore videos, then definitely stick around and hit that subscribe button. Thank you guys so much for being here.
